Wanted to have the kids try the buffet experience and they enjoyed the various foods available. The place was nicely decorated and busy on a Friday night. My son was waiting for them to refresh the teriyaki chicken which didn't happen while we were there. They had Chinese food items, sushi, pizza and chicken for the kids that prefer non Asian items and Mongolian BBQ, dessert and salad bar. The favorite was the ice cream self serve station. Good service, decent food, ok prices but should have faster fresh food available. Was pretty busy and lots of empty dishes that needed replenishment. read more

Jan 14, we went there on Tuesday, 11:30am lunch. we have been here three times. the variety of things to choose from is pretty good along with the hibachi grill. shrimp is fresh, deserts are fresh and tasty. clean, well kept. I'd rather have fresh made hot mustard than the packages, ( fair but not quality). chicken on a stick, is a little thick, and hard to chew. I would recommend this spot over any "menu" place. price is average for buffet. staff is pleasant. read more

$24 on a Saturday night for dinner here. Very few people were here and when watching an employee clean a table used by a customer we noticed she didn't even use any cleaner to wash the table. Buffet has a good variety of food items. The Mongolian was the best part of my lunch. The section I was in had a few families, that allowed their children to just run around playin tag and bump in to the tables and chairs. I wanted to try the Sushi but it did not look like it was barely touched, since my lunch visit was around 2pm. The waitress was very fast and attentive to my needs. I have not eaten at many Chinese buffets in the Dallas area but I have eaten at many Chinese buffets around the US. I just stumbled upon this restaurant by a few reviews that I saw and I have to say I was surprised with the service and the food. Sometimes you can't expect much from a Chinese buffet it's the same old same old but the food was excellent and the price was tremendously cheap. I told the manager that the food was dry and old. while Paying I just mentioned that the food was old and the food was from the lunch period while it was dinner now. instead of saying sorry for you inconvenience or let me give you so sometHong for your inconvenience she replied with tell me which on is cold and I'll change. I told her everything is OLD on the buffet Tables. she told me it looks fresh and I told it's different when you eat it and it's hard to bite old burnt food. I paid 50 dollars for Old and Dry food from the lunch rush. Went here for lunch. The food was ok but not great. I was really disappointed with the sushi selection that they had. There was not a whole lot to choose from at the sushi bar and every piece they had did not taste very fresh. The highlight was some of the fried rice and chicken selections also their hot wings were not half bad as well. Used to be a good place and served crab legs on Fridays. I noticed just three people in there. Food not fresh or hot and picked over: a few soggy sad won tons remained for the soup, she sushi looked like it sat out for days (I didn't want to risk eating it!), and the Mongolian BBQ which used to be my fave had old looking brown meat and sad wilted veggies (once again, didn't want to take a chance). We have been eating here about once a month for dinner for the past 5 years. Over the past 6 months, quality and freshness of food has declined. Yesterday my daughter and I ate there and 90% of the food we ate was not even warm, old food sitting and just plain gross. I mentioned this to the young man at the front desk who said he wished I would have said something earlier. Never offered a solution. Unfortunately, we will be trying to find another Chinese buffet. We won't be back. This was at 430 pm, food should be fresh and kept at correct temperatures. Surprised the health department doesn't check them. I absolutely loved this place during the pandemic (food was hot, plentiful and d fresh) - which is weird considering that now they're not that great. Food is usually cold or non existent. No bowls for the soups or flatware, usually. Hibachi is so over cooked that it tastes likes it's already been chewed to mush. Sushi is old and crispy when it shouldn't be or soft when it should be crispy. It's feels like once ppl started coming back in, they can no longer keep up with the demand. Last 3 times I've had to ask for refills on certain items that were empty when I arrived and then remained empty until I asked about them to refill Even stranger, once I asked, they refilled immediately - almost like it was ready to be filled, but no one thought to do it. As buffets go, this one is the best I've tried around the Rowlett/Rockwall area. Vast selection of items, including things like lichee and other "not your standard buffet" chow. The buffet tables are loaded down with items you'd expect to see, but for me the real winners are the sushi and the Mongolian grill. Both are prepared on the spot; Mongolian from the ingredients you select in a salad bar type setup, and while there is a standard selection of suchi, specific types can be special ordered. An aside, we've started avoiding weekend nights because of the "crab leg" special. It's horrifying to see people walking away with tubs of crab legs and hunching over them like starved scavengers, butter dripping down their swollen, chewing jowls. Also, they growl, and I'm afraid one of them may try to eat the Boy. But any other time, drop into this casual, brightly lit, buffet, and have a good nosh. read more

Went back again today after picking my son up from school. He has grown to love this "Chinese" restaurant so much that I can't quite tell him that its not the fancy Chinese place he seems to think it is. (he's 6 years old btw) Anyway, today he was giving his favorite restaurant extra props by saying they had the best food, the best music and was just "so nice." : ) Of course as an adult, your not going to be singing praises quite so high but knowing that this is a kid-friendly place and that menu caters to a wide variety is great. I've been here a few times since I was told by my friends that it was the better Chinese buffet in the Rowlett/Wylie area, and I've yet to be disappointed. The food is consistently good, kept well-warmed, and lacks the typical sloppiness and other shortcomings of other competing Asian buffets in the area. Another plus is that my kids *love* this place. The attractiveness of the dishes (at a buffet! I know!) keeps them willing to try new things, the rice is even above-average, and they are always excited about All The Dessert They Can Eat. This is now a mainstay of Daddy-Daughter and Daddy-Son dinners out, and will be for a while. For the price, you can't beat the selection and quality here. read more

Our family has tried this place a few times now and it's just okay. But this last time is why I dropped a star and why we will never be going back. As my fiancé dug into her lo mein she pulled out a piece of plastic (looked like maybe from a peppermint wrapper). Most of the food was cold(except the sushi) so I was not too surprised it wasn't fully melted into the food. So... when I tried to explain that there was plastic in the food the server clearly had no idea what I was trying to explain to her and just kept smiling, nodding, and saying "yes,yes". The fact that we actually had a good laugh over this is why there are 2 stars here. Eat at your own risk. We used to come here every single Thursday night after work for a solid six month cycle. The food is mediocre at best; truthfully, it looked better than it tasted. The problems varied; too salty, too sweet, too greasy, too...weird. The shrimp and sushi was always questionable for me BUT, i grew up on the coast back east so it's perfectly understandable the lack of fresh seafood here in Texas. I did enjoy the hot and sour soup. Consistently delicious. I also really enjoyed the Mongolian grill! Reminiscent of Genghis grill, that alone made our trips worthwhile. But, perhaps the GREATEST part about RB are the little friend doughnuts for dessert. Perfectly fries, perfectly sugared, perfectly delicious. Always warm, stupendous with the weird "ice cream" that they serve. Overall, the place is okay. It's fun and nice and affordable. They always have coupons available. You win some and you lose some. Saturday dinner. Crab was good. Not cold and not flabby meat like it has been in cold storage for too long. Cleanliness was better than other places I've been to e.g. Grand ch...Jumb...buffet. Floor was dry. I noticed the presence of many white folks. I know they don't have the stomach for dirty restaurants, so that's a good sign. They keep the steam heat on. May have to be careful getting certain items but at least you know it will always be hot. This was not a slow night so the food was hot and kept on coming. No worries about running out of crab. That kept coming too. Watermelon was good. Fried dumpling good. Sushi passable. Fried rice and noodle excellent. Stuffed crab here was the best I have had anywhere. The place was packed but the staff still managed to clear our table of empty dishes. I like that they keep the place bright. I hate buffets with dim lighting, no need to try and imitate fine dinning in regards to candle lighting. For 11.59 a person pretax, this was well worth it. read more
