    Grill at your table

We enjoyed dinner here Tuesday night. We had the AYCE Korean BBQ where they bring you some meats and other meats you get from the buffet. You grill at your table. The meat was very good, thick cuts and tasty. We were a bit disappointed in the rest of the buffet. There were very few Korean banchan items, and I was hoping the meal would include ttukbaegi gyeranjjim (steamed egg in a small earthenware pot) but they didn't have that.

Sometimes when you want something done right you have to do it yourself ;). All jokes aside Bon KBBQ is BON (good in French). Nicely decorated interior, very clean & also incredibly spacious. I came for dinner, but being that most items served for dinner are also available for lunch I'd recommend you stop by Monday through Thursday before 3pm to really take advantage of the price ($20 vs $30 plus tax doesn't seem like much of a difference until you're out on a date or in a group). When it comes to the food the meat & seafood options are fresh and of great quality in terms of cut/grade, as are all the pre-cooked sides. The staff does an incredible job of not only ensuring customer satisfaction at the table but that there's a consistent rotation of items readily available. First impressions truly are lasting so if you've never been to a Korean bbq restaurant I do highly recommend Bon Kbbq as you won't be disappointed. It's best to come in a group, but don't fret if you're alone. My best advice is to start with small portions so that you're able to try everything (from their soup selection to precooked meals, select bbq items, cold sides & self serve sorbet/ice cream for dessert). It's important to be mindful of how much you order though, as I do believe you get charged for waste they deem excessive.

Delicious and great service on this cold gray day You hit the door with beautiful smell of searing meat Colin was our server and was very prompt and very good as well as coverage from other servers nearby for our group of eight or nine Easy to get plenty of food quickly tasty and fresh

Dessert water provided with your check to cleanse your pallet. Very good!!

I come here all the time and it's always great!! They have a lot of veggies to put on the grill. Broccoli, mushrooms, onions, garlic cloves, jalapeños. The beef belly and sausage are my favorites. But, I always get different stuff from the buffet island. Bulgogi, teriyaki chicken, pork loin, etc... I get corn on the cob as well. Sauces are great. I use the house sauce on my white rice. The thick teriyaki dip is fantastic for dipping my combination of meat and veggies from the grill. I typically go for lunch and all you can eat is $21. Dinner is a little more, but adds shrimp and other more expensive meats. They also have ice cream for dessert. But, I can't have any of that. I always leave full and it ends up being my meal for the day which makes the cost even better!! Yelp says it's closed. But, it just was renamed Bon KBBQ. Same place.

Their lunch deal is AMAZING!! And it includes marinated LA galbi so it's a steal. They have buffet tables with wide selections from meat to veggies to banchans with rice and soups. The meat was so tender and so good! The only downside is they use some infrared grill so the meat takes a bit to cook.

I enjoyed having lunch with my sister at this Korean BBQ spot, it was both of our first time here. We were promptly seated. We both ordered water and the waiter made sure that our glass was never empty. My sister and I both checked out the restrooms. A plus that this restaurant is mobility impaired friendly. I looked around and there was definitely enough room with out awkward maneuvering. Our Dad has an electric wheelchair, while my sister still only uses a cane. The ambiance was a clean Korean BBQ restaurant. My sister and I both commented to each other how their floor are clean and not slippery. The meats were fresh and tasty, the fried rice well my sister said hers was under done but my scoop was over done. All in all this is a good Korean BBQ.

Yesterday, we revisited this amazing place for the second time. The customer service was outstanding, the meats were fresh, and there was a wide variety of delicious sides. We were blown away by the amazing Shiken drink dessert they had!

Second time here and again a 3.5, considering this is AYCE KBBQ for $19. Again they have tons of side dishes and options which are delicious! Their coleslaw is so good, and they have fish cakes, bean sprouts, etc. and a small sauce bar. They also have some soup at the end where they have kimchi fried rice, jap chae, etc. The middle section has raw meat you can bring to your table, but you can order meat from the waiters too. The meat quality itself is a little subpar, the beef belly was not as fresh as I am used to and you can tell. It's definitely not bad but it's not great. I think the best meat here is the LA Galbi, which is what I ate most of. It is a bit greasy as they don't trim the fat, but the seasoning is nice and it is overall pretty tender! The service this time was much better, the waitresses walked around to make sure you had all you needed, they changed the grill for us, and food came fast! This was a pleasant change from last time :) Ambiance is like an older Korean bbq place, it's cozy and clean but not fancy. A nice casual spot! Again, for $19 AYCE this is pretty good. The side dishes and extras are really good, just the meat quality is a little below average. If you are looking for some kbbq on a budget, I think this place would be good to start!

Pretty solid spot for kbbq. All of their meat is pretty high quality and flavorful. They also have a hot and cold bar for Cold/hot side dishes, multiple sauces, and soups. I especially adored their kimchi rice! It pairs well with the grilled meats. They played American music for about 30minutes with a playlist of 10 songs, then an alarm went off and switched to Kpop. Service was great and our grilled was changed twice. Definitely recommend. Plano spot is pretty nice

Very solid bang-for-your buck KBBQ. Dinner pricing is $26.99/person. Meats were overall fair quality and seasoned well, although 1 plate of meat tasted sour. They have several options to pick from the menu, but they also have more marinated meats and seafood at the self-service bar area. Our waiters were attentive and changed our grill regularly. I actually enjoyed the side dishes a lot, perhaps even more so than the meat. The Tteokbokki and Japchae in particular were pretty good.

The tempura was old and chewy as was most of the hot food items. Service was fine, nothing amazing and nothing terrible. When we went back for a second plate around 8:00, they were already breaking down the buffet and putting food away. That was a letdown. No hot food was being restocked, and teppanyaki and hot pot were no longer options. The sushi selection was mostly empty too. For clarification, they don't close until 9:00. The food we did get tasted okay, but nothing stood out or made me want to rush back. On the bright side, the restaurant and restrooms were clean, so at least that part was solid. Overall, it felt less like an all you can eat experience and more like "a you should have gotten there an hour earlier experience." Perhaps my least favorite part of the evening was the relentless ringing of bellhop bells behind both the hot food and sushi counters. They clanged nonstop to summon servers, turning the entire dining experience into an 80s montage where the "Better Off Dead" paperboy keeps circling your table on his bike, dead-eyed, ringing his bell, demanding his two dollars. This is a very generous three stars, given with kindness and lowered expectations.

It's pretty much self service you get your own drinks and the food is buffet style. So on to the food. I really wasn't sure what to expect. I like my food well seasoned and I've eaten Mediterranean food that was bland. I looked at the food online and it looked like there was a good variety and a coworker told me they thought it was good but I still had to see for myself. I got a good variety the first time around from the spicy hummus, pasta, salad, variety of chicken and rice, fried chicken, baked tilapia, and chicken kabobs, and fish. All were well seasoned and tasty. I was surprised. This was some of the most flavorful well seasoned Mediterranean food I've ever tasted. I was impressed with the fried chicken and baked tilapia. I also really enjoyed the spicy hummus. I'm not really big on sweets but my coworkers did give the sweets a thumbs up. I'd recommend this spot if someone is looking for an ethnic buffet and I know it was a ideal location for people celebrating Ramadan and breaking their fast.

Our pork bone broth was delicious and we tried many kinds of meat and add ins, and they were great with sane portions. Didn't really feel like we missed out on anything by not buying the extra charge items and we both filled up quickly. There's little desserts at the sauce bar, and also a few things off the menu. We tried them all and found them neutral overall in flavor; nothing impressive, but still pleasant. The difficult thing about this place is the price. A few $ more than Seapot, but you also have to pay for broth, which can add up to $14 more PER broth, which is why bf and I only got one. So while I'd say this place was very good, Seapot is better value and would be my choice over this place. However, bf and I agreed that this place is definitely a better choice over Hai Di Lao.

The concept was a delight, all you can eat course dining where you can try everything and order more of what you like. When you sit down, they bring each of the four course out in full to your table and give you time to enjoy each plate. The first course was a simple course of a light cheese dumpling soup and warm fresh bread with a variety of spreads. We found this course an excellent introduction and the soup was exceptionally executed. The second course was a course of appetizers. This is the course we liked the best, the large number of small plates really made the meal feel lavish and each dish was high quality and made with care. I loved the grilled cheese and the spiced apple sauce served with the chicken was delicious. The third course was the entree course, consisting of a number of grilled steaks, poultry, and pasta dishes. The chicken was a bit salty for my tastes but the pasta and the steaks were competently prepared. Lastly, the fourth course was a delightful dessert consisting of flan, chocolate mousse, and a passion fruit mousse. The passion fruit mousse was especially good, but I think each of the desserts worked well to balance each other out. I would like to see dessert with some more variety of texture. Our bread, soup, and appetizer courses were highlights. The bread was great with multiple spreads, the soup was cooked perfect, and most of the appetizers had a unique twist and quality taste. We enjoyed our steaks and pasta enough, but some were just not worthwhile in small ways--there was a flavorless four cheese pasta for example, and the garlic parm chicken was somewhat salty. The picanha was a bit tough on the outside but perfect inside. None of it was blowing my socks off, but definitely on the good side. Lastly, our dessert course was wonderful. All 3 were perfect, and we were told by I presume the manager to focus on the passion fruit one, which was stellar. If I returned, I'd be interested in trying a fun drink. They have several non alcoholic options that caught my eye. We were very well waited on, and never were left wanting or waiting. The manager himself came around several times and chatted with us a bit. I wish the water glasses were larger so I wasn't pouring constantly, but that's a small gripe. Overall, we enjoyed it here and are already thinking of friends and family to bring next time!
