Would not return . We were nearby and wanted to choose a healthier option to dine . We have passed Dimassi's on multiple occasions and decided this would be the day we put our curiosity to rest. This place has a spacious parking lot and the seating inside can fit large groups. You pay at the end of your meal and you help yourself. I think the food was terrible and dry. The food tastes like it wasn't made fresh and had been sitting for awhile. It really tasted like they reheated the food and served it. There were lots of different options for food but everything was mediocre. Not much else to say but this was not it. A strike and a miss but knowing is better than not knowing. 3 adults and 1 toddler came up to $88 which was highway robbery. An overall highly dissatisfying experience. read more

Really enjoyed this buffet! The food was fresh and the staff was very friendly it's a calm environment and a great place to have a healthier choice. It was a little confusing, though, that the sign's lunch price said one thing, but we were charged the dinner price since it was Labor Day? Didn't fully understand that. read more

The food was so fresh and tasty. Hot food hot and cold food cold seems to be a hard concept for buffets but they got it right. We came right at open and the person in the front greeted us as if he was happy to see us. Service with a smile!! It's clean, well lit. My partner and I are big fans of the Dimassi's in DFW and we were excited for the Mesquite one to open so we could avoid a lengthy drive to Allen. After visiting the Mesquite Dimassi's, I can confidently say that we will be returning to the Allen one instead- the drive is worth it. The salads were not fresh- the tomatoes tasted like they've been out longer than they should've. The fried chicken was cold, I didn't eat it because I was afraid of getting sick. The restrooms are not clean, which is disappointing since Allen's are crystal clear. My partner said one of the urinals was flooded.... read more

Fantastic food at a great value! A similar meal at a sit down Mediterranean restaurant would've cost $40. The food is fresh, with authentic flavors. The interior is clean and beautiful. The workers here are pleasant and kind. I love that they play ethnic music here. A pet peeve of mine is going to an ethnic restaurant where they play Top 40 music- or worse yet, no music. read more

This buffet gets one star for selection of food, which is good, one star for cleanliness, which was good, but we paid $24 per meal and was very disappointed because the food quality was substandard. The meat quality was substandard. If you are going to charge $24 a plate you should use better quality meat. And the spices were lacking. won't be back. read more

We went before 5 PM on a Friday. The meal was $25. with tax. One lady & the chef didn't understand English or speak it. We did have an English speaking young woman. The decor on the inside is very pretty & very clean. Temperature was way Too cold; especially when it cycled on for less than 5 mins -u would freeze. Food - salads & humus were great. Loved the avocado humus. Was disappointed in many entree items....very bland. We had to asked for fresh veggies that weren't charred. We waited for tabouli for around 20 mins. The dessert presentation was good. Baklava was good. I love Mediterranean food. Love Cafe Izmir....your food is prepared when you order it...Enjoy Ali Baba -Richardson. My friend had ate at another Dimassi's location which she liked; very disappointed in the Mesquite location. The food is always fresh and tasty, with a wide selection, especially of salads. My only suggestion would be to dim the lights a little. It is bright like a school cafeteria, and everything is white as far as walls and furniture, which does not seem relaxed. Maybe the idea is discourage lingering. Next time I will wear a hat but I will go again. read more

Food and ambiance, perfect, soft music, we could have a nice conversation, is not too loud like other places, the variety of foods is great! my favorite drink, cinnamon tea! Fantastic !, it goes well with all dishes, the fact that they give you the choice of wearing a glove for handling serving utensils, is a great idea, everything was clean and freshly made, the person in front immediately told us to go ahead you pay on exit when you're done, and boy! Hubby and I went to check out this new Mediterranean buffet today where the old TGIFridays used to be. It was very clean, brightly lit and pleasantly decorated. Staff were friendly, buffet is set up nicely. They have a nice selection of different salads, hummus, soups and warm foods like chicken, gyros, fish, pita bread, good drink selections and a dessert bar. The value is a good deal for fresh, healthy food over fast food. There was nothing we had that was epic worth ranting about, but also was not underwhelming either. Some of my favorite things that I tried were the spicy hummus + pita bread, roasted cauliflower, falafels, chicken soup, chicken kabob and the baklava was really good! I was nervous about trying a buffet style venue, but I am pleased to report that Dimassi's was gut friendly with quality prepared food as I did not have any immediate bloating or bubble gut issues after eating there today.
