What a hidden gem! I appreciate that there isn't any loud music (the tv could be a tad quieter though haha) The food was extremely fresh and fragrant! You could tell it was homemade. The service was great. Friendly cashier and asked how the food was. The lemon lime soda was tasty! The atmosphere was really clean and calm. I really enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to one again. The garlic naan was fluffy and tasty and the paneer was some of the best I've had in Dallas! Browned around the edges with amazing flavor. They didn't rush us when we came in at 6:30 not realizing they closed at 7 whoops. 10/10 experience, I'm excited to try more stuff here next time! First off, Matthew is my new best friend. I walked in and he greeted me with a smile. As a non-Indian person eating Indian food, sometimes you get looks like, "What do you want?" When entering some establishments. I've dated men from this culture and not everyone was friendly and welcoming when my desire for Indian food was overwhelming and I would seek the food out on my own. So I was very happy today to meet Mr. Matthew whose character and personality was as warm and delighful as his butter chicken! As soon as I walked in, he greeted me and it wasn't a fake, "WTF do you want" kind of smile, but a genuine kind hearted smile that made me feel at ease and happy to order! The food was very tasty and I feel confident to be able to say that I've eaten enough Indian food to know what is good and what isn't. But on top of that, I feel that my hard earned money is going to someone who treats me fairly and talks to me and someone who hasn't prejudged me. Primarily Indian take out. Went to order lunch for myself and 2 others. We had the chicken biriyani, Mutton Biriyani, and chicken Tikka Fries. We liked them very much. Large portions, well seasoned meats. Has a bit of spicy kick. I am no expert on Indian but it rivaled the food I sampled in Richardson/Plano eateries. Reasonably priced. When I went it was lunch time and it was just one gentleman cooking and taking orders so it took 30 mins instead of 15-20 but next time I will order ahead. That's about the only criticism I have. The fries are never fully cooked and they're never crispy. Undercooked potato is gross so the tikka and chili fries will never reach their potential. The spicy chicken tenders aren't spicy, they taste like the frozen kind with a bit of seasoning sprinkled on them. This was a great idea in theory, but the execution of the dishes definitely left me wanting more. The flavors were just subpar compared to every other authentic Indian place I've ever had. I had really hoped this would be great, but was sadly disappointed by the lack of seasoning/flavor in each of the dishes I tried. I would not go back here again unless they completely overhauled their recipes, because the flavor was just completely lacking. My kids had the mutton biryani bowl, the chicken tandoori, and I had the mutton curry. I had high hopes that I could find a delicious local Indian place, the closest one that I have found that is really pretty decent aside from going to Dallas is in Garland which I will not name because that would just be rude. I would be willing to give it another shot just to see if they have changed up the recipes a little bit to add some more flavor, because I really wanted to like it but I had to add so much seasoning to even make it palatable that I was basically cooking my own dish by the end of it. read more
