Extremely disappointing. This location was NOTHING like the other locations we've been to. My husband and I ordered the exact same plate, this time, we each got maybe 5 pieces of meat and tiny "samples" of everything else. The portions were honestly ridiculous compared to what we're used to getting at the other locations. And the cleanliness was just as bad. It was around 86° inside, every trash can was overflowing, and the tables were sticky, dirty, and clearly hadn't been wiped down. The whole place felt neglected. We paid good money for this meal and expected the same quality and experience we've gotten at other locations. Instead, we left extremely disappointed and feeling like we didn't get what we paid for. Management seriously needs to step in and address the food portions, cleanliness, and temperature at this location. read more

I've always had good experiences with Stop N Go Gyros at other locations, which is why I decided to try the Forney spot, twice. Unfortunately, both visits left me disappointed. First Visit: Our order was fairly large: a couple of wraps, Greek fries, regular fries, and a gyro plate. When we got home, we realized both orders of fries were missing. I called the restaurant and was told they would give me the fries the next day if I came back. With the holidays approaching and a busy schedule, I wasn't going to make a separate trip just to pick up fries, so I asked for a refund instead. They said they would "see what they could do." I followed up with an email afterward and was completely ignored. The food itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't as good as I remembered from other locations, as the basmati rice was pretty dry. I later realized I had placed the order about 20 minutes before closing (not knowing weekend hours were shorter), so it's possible the food wasn't as fresh as it should've been. Second Visit: I gave them another chance and went back with friends with another to go order. I mentioned the missing fries from my previous visit, but it was brushed off, and nothing was done to make it right. I wasn't about to make a scene over fries, but at that point, it felt like they simply kept my money. To make matters worse, the food this time didn't sit well. A few of us ended up with stomach issues the following day, which sealed the deal for me. Final Thoughts: After two visits involving missing items, lack of follow-up, and stomach problems, I'm not thrilled with this location. It's disappointing because I've had much better experiences at other Stop N Go Gyros locations. Unfortunately, this Forney spot doesn't meet the standard I've come to expect. read more

This was our first time going. We will be going a second and likely regularly after that. It is spacious, clean and well run. The food was ready quickly and tasted extremely fresh. I love having another HEALTHY food option in Forney. I had the chicken sandwhich (gyro) and my husband had the plate. The chicken didn't even taste like chicken and I mean that in the best way. It was so flavorful, rich, savory AND a touch of sweet. It was delicious. I wish it had pickles. That's my only suggestion. Gimme the pickles! lol The fries was delicious! Honestly truly so good. Perfectly seasoned. Not too much but I just KNOW they would be spectacular plain as well. Which I will be ordering next time for my picky eater. So good. The plate was wonderful. Everything was delicious. The rice was great. And I loved the white garlic sauce on the side. Perfection. I loved how flavorful everything was but afterwards, my mouth just tasted fresh. It wasn't like leaving a heavily spiced meal. It was a pleasant aftertaste. That might sound weird but as I was walking out I said to my husband, 'my mouth tastes like a lightly seasoned cucumber.. it just tastes fresh..' 10 out of 10. Forney is growing so rapidly and I'm so thankful, because it seems every month there's a new food spot to try. Give it up for the diversity in options to choose from as well. I saw on Forney Eats that this establishment opened up, so I sent my husband to go get some gyros and fries. At present they offer a gyro combo that comes with fries and a drink. The total came out to $14.06 with tax (per person). I tried the steak version & might I say it was quite delicious. I forgot what they call their version of loaded fries but they come with a garlic sauce and feta cheese which was also really good, though very garlic forward so do have mints or gum nearby lol. The only con is that since this is still a new establishment they don't have an active phone number or website for the Forney location where you can call ahead/order online. My husband said when he walked inside it was pretty packed, so be prepared to wait. read more

ordered the vegetarian plate and the so call tabouleh was not tabouleh in my plate. Looked like just cut up parsley with a ton of wheat no, tomatoes, olive oil or lemon juice for taste. Delicious food, we had the falafel and the chicken rice bowl. Chicken was seasoned very well and cooked tender, falafel were crispy outside and very soft inside made in the Palestinian style. Fries are top tier, Greek style is the way to go the feta and garlic sauce add a great flavor. Will try the hot sauce next time. Ambiance is relaxed, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming and even recommended trying the fries half and half since it was our first time to see how we liked it. 10/10 would be coming back - worth the stop! read more

Despite having no customers the dining room there were several tables which appeared to need cleaning. My wife enjoyed her meal reasonably well, but my hummus bowl had tziziki sauce dumped all over it (shown in the menu photo but not listed in the description). The hummus was pretty good, but the pita bread was not fresh and tasted like a grocery store product. Iced tea came from the soda dispenser and was okay. Plastic ware combined with paper bowls and napkins as thin as toilet paper made for an overall experience that did not inspire confidence. A gyros plate, hummus plate, and one drink was almost $30. I'm from Chicago and know what good Gyros are and this ain't it! First off they meat was already cut and laying in a container the meat was wet and soggy and lacked any taste also they was very stingy with the portions glad they were the food was inedible!
