We all enjoy Wienerschnitzel- often go there for their great "State Fair" type food in Mesquite. Their staff are always friendly and helpful. I love their corny dogs with mustard and my husband also likes their sausage sandwich! Their chili dogs are made just like they used to! This is now my exclusive go-to Wienerschnitzel in the Metroplex. Earlier I had gone to the Grand Prairie location off I-20 and they refused to accept the free chili dog reward I received via email (see the review I left for their location). About an hour later I arrived at this location and they gladly accepted the reward offer and provided awesome customer service on top of it. The hot dog is plain with mustard and cost is over $3. I was shocked! Add anything and the cost goes up even more. I'd prefer Sonic footlong with onions and chili and it's a much better value. The bun is not even heated. Wienerschnitzel never has a line or any cars around it at all most all the times I drive by, and that is often. It shocks me they can still be open. A nothing eating place in my opinion. 7 11 hot dogs are cheaper and better. read more

Food was not appetizing and very expensive for size and taste. Only good thing was the chocolate dipped cones.

I haven't been here since 2009/2010 timeframe and when I tell you I was NOT at all disappointed by this much needed delicious late night stop. I ordered my usual and was thankful that all these years later they still sell it even though it's no longer posted in their menu...the hot pastrami hot dog!!! In between meetings I was starving so as I was driving on I 635, I saw the sign kind off the highway so I exited and went through the drive thru. It was raining and the order box is not covered, so I had to take some points off for getting wet while ordering. The lady at the window (which does have a cover) was very professional and nice. The food was fresh and service was quick! I got exactly what I ordered which was a fresh juicy regular burger. I thought about a corny dog, as I understand they are yummy, so maybe next time. Easy off/on access from the highway. The place is tiny so I didn't know if there was a dining room but when I peeked in I saw a few booths so inside seating is an option too. read more

This location needs serious help in common sense Customer Service and Cleanliness. I ordered the Chili Burger/Chili Cheese Dog combo. The cashier asked if I wanted to upsize... I said no... and later on the receipt, I noticed he charged me for the upsize anyways. It was only 60 cents, but they either need to retrain the cashier or this place does shady business. I overheard him talking to another employee saying their Manager is getting on their case if they don´t ask customers to upsize... those were his exact words. Now, going to the order. The cashier handed me a cup. I saw there was a HAIR in it, so I gave the cup back. The cashier apologized and handed me another cup. Guess what... now there was a hair on the outside of the cup. Gross... did someone just get a haircut and was shedding inside the restaurant?! When I received my food, I notice someone had scribbled and drawn all over my tray liner. Were the employees so bored that they were doodling on tray liners? More importantly, why are they giving me the dirty tray liners?! Gross... again. I asked for no cheese on my chili dog... guess what... cheese! I scraped that off. I´m sure the cashier just didn´t type in my modification... the lady that makes the hot dogs has been there for years. Food is good, but train your cashiers to not rip off customers nor give them dirty trays/cups. read more

I come here when I crave a chili cheese dog. They are always consistently good, for a fast food place. My son loves the chili cheese fries and their corn dogs are the best fast food ones I have ever had. They are kicking it up a notch by adding all beef franks and gourmet hot dogs to their menu. Horrible service, i ordered a hot dog off the menu and specifically confirmed the order. I get my order and of course it is totally the wrong hot dog. I bring it in and tell them they gave the wrong hot dog. The guy behind the counter then begins to argue with me that I am wrong even though I am looking directly at a picture of the correct one and verified it repeatedly. Then instead of just correcting the order, he tried to charge me more! It was not a big difference in cost but i was the principal. There seems to be no management on site and these employees are incapable of making customer service decisions or being remotely courteous and professional. read more

My boyfriend has been complaining about not having any Wienerschnitzels around, so when I stopped by my dad's house in Mesquite today, I decided to surprise the Boy with some chili cheese dogs. I got a corn dog for myself, since I wasn't super hungry but wanted to try the food. Definitely one of the best corn dogs I've ever had! The Boy says the chili cheese dogs were good (he didn't even save one bite for me!), but the Pepsi I got tasted a little weird. Trashy people, and not so great food. They didn't know how to take a simple order and messed it up anyways. I asked for root beer no ice and they handed me it with ice so I politely told her no ice and she curled her lip at me and took it back, poured out the top, then handed me a cup half full of root beer that was covered in it on the outside. This is a case where I like the cheap stuff... There's something great about the weird chili that's like no other chili I've had elsewhere. They offer the Angus beef option, and normally I don't like anything but all beef franks, but I had to get an original. It's about nostalgia, I suppose. I wish they'd come out east. :-) read more
