I'm really lucky to have this restaurant so close to my job. I love this place and the food cheers me up every time, I genuinely can't get these giant burgers and onion rings like this anywhere else and that says a lot from a picky eater. They have a convenient website and amazing customer service, especially/specifically from the Rowlett location. I especially love seeing SpongeBob on the TV at this location so it's genuinely really entertaining just being inside. I wish I could give this place 6-stars, I've put my coworkers onto this place and they all love it too. This is honestly the best location out of the entire Cheesesteak House franchise. read more

I just want to say this is the best cheesesteak I've had in the DFW area since I've lived here! Wow wow wow! It's everything you want in a cheesesteak. Plus this place gives 6 different sauces to enjoy it with. The creamy habanero and Joes sauce took this epic sandwich to another level. Special shout out to Red, the owner. OMG where to start!!! Great vibe and the yellow and orange colors were a plus as they are my fave's. We ordered: 1. Cheesey cheesesteak and the pepper steak cheesesteak : absolutely delicious, flavorful steak, soft bun, perfect amount of cheese and the peppers on mine were grilled jalapenos and banana peppers, perfectly grilled. I prepped several napkins thinking this was gonna be messy. It was not. Bread to meat and cheese were all very proportionate. 2. Fries were well seasoned and had a nice combination of crunchy and soft fries. 3. Onion rings were delicious . Well seasoned as well and had the perfect bite to them. They have several homemade sauces: ranch (yum), a mayo/pepper one (nice smoked flavor), another red one that my spouse ate on their fries, rings and sandwich (so it must have been delicious) and then a honey mustard (we didnt try this one, but with the others tasting amazing, i bet it was good). We got there around 1230, a couple tables already taken up but by the time we left, i think they had a full house . We will definitely be back!! Absolutely love this place!! The best cheesesteak we've ever had! I usually get the Cheesy cheesesteak and add bell peppers or poblanos. It is packed full of meat and flavor. Their fries are delicious as well, always hot, fresh and crispy. They have several sauces they bring out that are all great as well. Joel's special sauce is my favorite, it's kind of a kicked up ketchup. The owner/manager is always so nice and friendly. We've been enough lately that he remembers us, and I think that's great. Finally got around to trying the new Cheesesteak House in Rowlett; I had originally been once to the Oak Cliff location and loved it there. There were so many options on their menu so I decided to go with my gut and get the Cheesy Cheesesteak combo (extra like $3.00 or something). Totaling 15.something altogether. Cheesy Cheesesteak: 4/5. To be fair I got the wrong one. I wanted a classic Philly and I thought it was this busy this cheese was more of a queso on top; I was trying to grab a classic with American cheese so that's on me. It was really good still but not 5/5 for me. There were 4 different sauces provided as well. Ketchup: classic Ranch: pretty good, tastes homemade Mayopotle: their take on a chipotle mayo sauce; it was prob my 2nd favorite. Joes Sauce: it reminds me of Chalula sauce without the heat; more acidic and sweeter sauce. This was my favorite. Overall: 4/5; I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Today was my second time to visit Cheesesteak House, and Rowlett. Both times I had the Cheesy Cheesesteak and was not disappointed. I didn't make it a combo, which adds fries and a drink for an additional $3.69. Photos for both visits are added to this review. The customer service from the gentleman in the front was outstanding! Seriously, coming back to check on how things were with all the customers, remembering my name, clearing the tables and cleaning each of the sauce containers, super friendly. He just gave the vibe that he is running this ship, and in control, in a good way. On this most recent visit, when I first walked in, there was a obvious sewage smell, which is the last thing you want in a place where you're eating. The closer I got to the cash register, the stronger it got. I was tempted to turn around and walk out, but fought through it. I'm certain this is something that is a landlord/building issue, not something that Cheesesteak House is responsible for. Please have the landlords get this fixed soon. I loved that they had Cajun chef hot sauce. Wish they had Coke products instead of Pepsi products, but at least they had a Big Red Mountain Dew. It would be nice if the ranch were homemade, instead of from the big bottle. The only other thing I would love to see different, but since this is a franchise, I'm certain this won't change. They are very close to having an authentic "Philly Cheesesteak". It's definitely the best one around, but if you've spent any time in Philly, and you've been to Pat's, Gino's, or Jim's (amongst many others), if you know, you know. The WHIZ is really the only thing missing that was in this thing over the top. Replace the American cheese with WHIZ, and I believe you would have it! Of course, this is Texas, and not Philly, so I guess this could be a Texas version of the Philly Cheesesteak, but seeing that, so close to the real thing, it puzzles me why you wouldn't just duplicate the original one. when it's so easy to do. I gave five stars for the great food and for the outstanding customer service! Thank you to the man up front, who provided a welcoming experience and conveyed appreciation for his customers! I have been going here over a year now and every time I have been here the place is clean, bright and cheery. The staff is great, they are always friendly and cheerful. Red has been there from the start and he is just the best! He (see photo) is always nice and greets all the guests with a smile and brings the food out quick. I meant to review the Cheesesteak House after I finished trying all their sandwiches but I tried the Pablano Cheesesteak (see photo) and I can't get enough! Every time I go I have to get that sandwich, it is just so good with the pablano pepper spice and the cheese. Add the Chipotle Mayo and man, what a great sandwich! Sorry the photo is only half the sandwich, I couldn't wait. The fries are delicious as well. If you're in Rowlett you're probably on SH66 anyway so drop by and say hi. See you there! read more

Cheesesteak House replaced Mijas Taqueria, which was my wife's top five in Rowlett. The inside has changed to fit the vibe for cheesesteaks. They have plenty of done in tables and actually show some support for the holidays/local colleges. Four TV's surround the dining area for some sights and sounds during your meal. Great for when sports are on and you are waiting on food or to-go. The staff is friendly and will help you pick out a meal if you aren't sure. They provided a realistic time frame for when the meal will be ready and confirmed our order for accuracy. Great service. They even gave us extra sauces! We got the cheesy cheesesteak and the original cheesesteak. They were pretty good, however the bread was a little bit chewy. There was a good amount of meat in the cheesesteak and it was thicker meat. Flavor wise, it was okay, I was hoping for more flavorful meat. read more

I cannot recommend this place because of deceptive business practices and false advertising. First, I'll be honest, both my partner and I found them decent, but we will not be returning. Their website (https://www.cheesesteakhousetx.com/menu/) lists a regular cheesesteak for $7.19, the menu inside shows $7.49, and they actually charged $7.77. For the large, it was $9.09 on the website, $9.49 on the menu, and rang up as $9.84. I believe this is very deceptive business practices, as their website does not say anything about location prices being different, and their in store menu shows "prices include 4% cash discount". read more

A first visit to this Cheesesteak House location, in Rowlett. Went in for a takeout for a Friday night dinner. It was wonderful! I'll start by saying that, it was tidy and clean and the men at the counter greeted us as we walked through the door. Their menu, above the counter, was clear and had a lot of variety and we were also given copies of their menu to take home. They were patient, as we were undecided and considering our choices. We ordered a Peppered Cheesesteak and a Cheesy Cheesesteak, Fries, Onion Rings and Queso. The Cheesesteaks were great, we split each, so was able to have both. My favorite being the Peppered, a personal choice, as I love peppers, but the Cheesy Cheesesteak was as good. The fries and onion rings were also very good, the fries were seasoned well and they are the skin on fries which are always better in my book. The onion rings were good, I think they may have been much better if we had eaten them immediately (that's on us). We tried three of their sauces, Ranch, Mayotle Sauce and Joel's Special Sauce. They were all really good, the Mayotle Sauce was spicy with a smoky flavor and the Joel's Special sauce, which I thought I wouldn't care for, was a surprise because I really did like it. During our visit, we talked to the owner whose attitude towards, and enthusiasm for, his business was genuine. He does seem grateful that you stopped in and wants to see that you are satisfied with your meal, as well as hopeful that he'll see you again and again. I had mentioned to my daughter, while we were making our decision on what we wanted to order, that we would order the side of Queso but needed to be sure that we got it "this time" as on a visit to ANOTHER LOCATION we paid for it but got home and it wasn't in the bag. The owner heard me say this and when we got home there were TWO sides of Queso, which is one more than we ordered.
