This place is amazing!! We had the San Fran, the Pub Burger, the truffle fries and the jalapeño tater tots. Every single thing tasted great!! Homemade 1000 island on the San Fran and you could taste the quality. The Pub Burger was high-quality beef with a homemade aioli and pickled red onions that really complimented each other well. The truffle fries were legit! And the spicy jalapeño tots had a jalapeño cream sauce that was out of this world!! It's in a little strip mall that you would never even notice even though you might drive down the street every day. It's not a fancy establishment but the people are wonderfully nice, the craft beer has a wide range of flavors and the food is bonkers good! Just to highlight the beers a little, my wife and daughter do NOT drink beer BUT they both found ones that they truly enjoy! I even sampled a few that I never would've ordered and loved them, too. You've got to come in and sample the beer selection. You won't be sorry! We will be back many, many times! read more

We had some friends that introduced us to this place and it was delicious! We absolutely loved it and will be returning. The employees were so welcoming. They were very kind and their service was fast. We ordered our food, waited less than 15 minutes, and it was out and ready! The atmosphere is definitely a chill little place. You can choose to eat outside or inside. Outside is definitely a little vibe. They also have games that you are able to bring out if you are chilling with friends. While dining there, I noticed that a group reserved half of their outside area for a small intimate baby shower. It was absolutely adorable the way they decorated it and made me think to definitely consider them if I'd like to host something small and intimate in the future! read more

I came for the first time and the staff there was so nice ! There were so many different options of food and I couldn't decide but Martha helped me out! I had a hot mess ? I believe it was called & it was super fresh and just so delicious! I 100% recommend! Great staff and great food! read more

Visited today to learn that they now proudly fry everything in beef tallow. The reasoning behind this as stated is because it is a more natural oil and healthier. This couldn't be further from the truth. If it were truly for health they would have chosen a heart healthy olive oil, or sticking with canola oil. Not to mention the tallow they use is most likely just as processed as bad vegetable oil containing more trans fat, which is not healthy. They might tell you that beef tallow is the way to go, but it's less sustainable for you, and the environment. They literally disregarded a whole part of their customer base in vegan and vegetarian because the guy with brain worms said it's better. Beef tallow is not better for you, not cleaner, and they will not see me there again. Studies in The Lancet and in Circulation say it all and you can learn the truth there. read more

Amazing brewery and my new go to here in riverside (sorry to all the other guys!). First off beer is amazing. I am a stout girl and I loved the Russian stout. It's a little over 11% so I can only do 2 without becoming a fool but yes so smooth and delicious. Secondly the food. So this is a brewery and food should not be a priority...that being said while nothing is fancy it will for sure hit the spot! I've had blue cheese burger, jalapeño poppers (So freaking big!), the soft pretzel (also big) and loaded jalapeño spicy fries. The only negative I will say for the food is if the pretzels can come with a nacho cheese sauce.... Not knocking the business and their efforts but they do give you their version of homemade cheese sauce and it kinda tastes more like breakfast gravy ;p Games are everywhere and yes some are missing pieces due to all the people I imagine who have played them and possibly even not so sober people forgetting to put pieces back but that did not stop my crew from improvising and having more fun The atmosphere is kinda like "I'm here, have a beer, and kick back". No fancy decor, food, or foo foo drinks. Just a place to have fun. Even though I did not bring my little kids I will say the bottom floor has a little table place for them to play and have fun too if you can't find a babysitter read more

My favorite things about this place include but aren't limited to the fact that it is family owned and operated. They take pride in their place and products- and it shows. The fact they have a kids area- this little nook has a doll house train table and wall mounted gears and puzzles. Not to mention the board games, comics and lawn style games out on the large patio. They always have a deal available on Groupon! Tonight my husband and I had 2 beers EACH and chips with beer cheese for $23! Pub burger, brisket Mac n cheese and jalapeño tots are stars of the menu- just to name a few! We moved to banning but still try to eat here when we passing through Riverside. read more

My expectations before walking in: a local brewery with no frills. These expectations were exceeded Ambiance: it's a big brewery with an upstairs and outside seating area, they serve food and a large selection of beers. 4/5 Hospitality: everybody was very nice, usually when I come to breweries I ask the server for suggestions on a flight and they helped me great. 4/5 What I ordered and review: I ordered a flight, the beers were all good. I saw other peoples food and even though I didn't order any, it all looked good, gastropub type foods. 4/5 What makes this place special: it's a big beautiful brewery like a mini version of Firestone Walker, golden road. Worst thing about this place: I do think this place would benefit off having waiters for tables or a QR system over having to wait in line whenever you need a beer Final recommendation: it's a great place to go with friends if you're a beer lover or even a beer liker. read more

Thompson helped us host our puppy party on the patio and everything from coordinating with Martha ahead of time, to day of, was so great! The staff is super friendly and their food is incredible. The patio area is perfect for pets and there's plenty of seating. The beer is great also and I love the sours they have available. read more

Service was horrible, took an hour an a half for Nachos with Velveeta cheese. The tables were dirty and no places to sit.

Good and great foods. Excellent service.in service. Ambiance is excellent and we really appreciate their action read more

Love this place great atmosphere, simple yet enthusiastic! board games and books for customers, comics upstairs, gargantuan scrabble board, seating in the brewing area and seating outside read more

The waffles are a 10/10. I had them for brunch and along with the brisket sandwich with grilled onions instead of raw. I left a happy camper! Sit outside in the back. They have plenty of tables with umbrellas. My dad got a beer that tasted like orange juice. It was super yummy. The maple chipotle chicken has a good kick to it fyi ... I preferred just the waffle. The pretzel looked temping, so definitely going back next time and ordering that too lol read more

It's great that there's a place like this is in Riverside, but neither my wife nor I were impressed with any of the beer we tried here. I counted 22 beers on the menu that they make--we tired 3 of the IPAs and the saison. Not great. How can they make anything good when they're spread out between 22 brews? Food was much better and the place had a good atmosphere that was family friendly. Just don't go with high expectations for the beer. read more

No and no for children or family gatherings or even for young seniors CONS: Hard to find in an industrial area; parking okay because other businesses were closed No nice seating - hard chairs; outdoor seating too hot. Red solo cups for beverages Loud indescribable/undecipherable music and patrons voices must shout over that to be heard within their own group No elevator to 2nd floor Some tables are shared with other groups. Order downstairs bring your food or drink upstairs No beverages upstairs to replenish your water No restrooms upstairs, be ready to walk the stairs Food- mediocre. Our party of five ordered different items from the menu. No one liked their order. Waitress did bring food to the table but after that you're on your own. This is a guys meet after work spot before you go home. Drink your beer, eat and go home. PROS: Nice greeting at register. read more

I've been to Thompsons about 3 times and each time I've visited, I've had great experiences. Staff are friendly, wide selections of beer and food is great. They have something for everyone. I like that they have multiple seating areas: the entry room, upstairs and the outside patio. Lots of space for groups! They also have games available to play! The last time I visited, they had an Oktoberfest beer which was really nice. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the area! 10/10 read more

One of my favorite places to eat in the area. Always a good time. Great food and beer. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Hidden gem.. service was amazing. Food was perfect. Meats cooked spot on and the sauces knocked it out of the park. Right amount of sweet on the meat. If the food is this great, next time we are trying the brew.. read more

My group had a networking and toy drive last night at Thompson Brewing. The process to reserve the time and space was straight forward and we were provided with all the necessary information. I often travel for work and love to try local places. First off let me tell you that I ordered my food, got a honey beer (which was delicious and I hate beer), sat down and had my food in minutes. It was amazing!!! Brisket sandwich and fried pickles! Acadianas in San Antonio has always been my favorite spot for fried pickles. But Thompson Brewing have them a run for their money! The beer was amazing, even for me and as I said I'm not a beer guy. Great service, and a clean establishment. read more

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner at Thompson Brewing and it was wonderful! Martha helped me with the planning and Wendy was available for the duration of the party, helping when needed! I don't write reviews normally but this place is awesome. Amazing food and surprisingly pretty reasonable prices. Really great prices compared to other places (I'm usually a cheapskate so that's saying a lot). Also good atmosphere and great games to play. Perfect for date night or group of friends. read more

You order your food down stairs and eat upstairs. I had the pink slushy it was ok. I had the messy chicken sandwich row pieces of chicken tenders with bbq sauce on them. Not really good. food was not warm fries were cold. There is not a lot of seating is kind of odd there a couple of long tables you share with people. We had to clean our own tables because I guess you have to clean after yourself. There was a lot of empty cups and plate all over. read more

hands down, the best chicken sandwich in SoCal! I'm exclusively buffalo sauce when it comes to chicken and their buffalo fried chicken sandwich is a HIT... also, their fries are amazing too!!! recommend to everyone! i've been twice.. on a friday night, not too busy, the food came in about 20 minutes. on a saturday night, there happened to be a large group who arrived shortly before us, outdoor seating was completely taken and the food came in over an hour (only reason my rating is a 4) read more

Relaxed and casual. We're working our way through the beer offerings. Mostly hits! A nice variety and the smaller sampling glasses are a great way to try before you buy. Very welcoming and nice staff. Came in at 2 on a Saturday, not too busy. Got their flight of 4 for $9.50. Tangerine Wheat was super refreshing and not overpowering of fruit taste. Passionfruit Pink Guave was amazing and SUPER easy to drink to the point it's dangerous. Their Nelson Galaxy Hazy DIPA wasn't to hoppy and had a great refreshing flavor. Their Belgian Triplel which is 10.5% was smooth for an ipa of that caliber. Food. Their brisket nachos are amazing!!! Full of flavor, their pub burger was great too, but I would try another one next time Overall, what great food and drink for a small brewery. Side note, they even have a cool little play area for small kids like my 15 month old read more

The service is friendly but the place is always dirty. The first time we went, we sat outside in the back and it was decent. When they brought our food out, I asked about the trash and the waitress was rude. She made a remark saying I needed to be an adult and clean up after myself. I wasn't asking her to clean for me, just where the trash goes when we are done. The food was delicious and drinks were a hit so we came back for a second try. This time we sat upstairs....BIG MISTAKE! There were only two tables occupied, which made it look super empty but all the tables had trash on them and were dirty. There were used napkins, torn up books/cards, tables were sticky from spilt drinks.... We were there for an hr and nobody ever walked up to clean anything. Sucks cus the food/drinks are great but the environment needs some attention. read more

I love coming here! My bf and I have stopped by for lunch and drinks on several occasions (with kids and without), and I recently hosted a vision board party here with a group of friends. A few weeks ago, I visited this place at the recommendation from a friend. We had a wonderful time hanging out, sampling beers and food. Worst experience ever. First time coming here, ordered at the table due to signs at each table stating this. After 30 min was told ordering at table service doesn't work. Re ordered the food and instead of having meal expedited waited another 30-40 in to receive food. Group behind us had the same issue however received their expedited order in 10 min or less. Very disappointing, tired to give benefit of the doubt but won't be returning. Response to owner. No refund was given as we understand mistakes happen. However to not have food expedited and to wait almost another hour is very disappointing. I will say I do believe the team might have been aware of the ordering at the table not working because as I mentioned after we found out, a group that came later was told the same thing. However they received their expedited order in less than 10 min almost the same time as us receiving ours. read more
