A few weeks ago, I visited this place at the recommendation from a friend. We had a wonderful time hanging out, sampling beers and food. I had arranged a birthday party reservation with Martha. It was so easy...we had 20 for dinner outside in the patio. I gave all my guests drink tickets so they could go up to the counter to order their own drinks. My friend used the QR codes on the tables to order all the food. Easy Peasy. Now...the food was soooo yummy. Everyone was happy. The drinks (beers, fruit drinks, sodas) were excellent and I loved that everyone could taste-test to be sure of their selections. I ordered the mouth-watering brisket sandwich - which I always order - EXCELLENT as always! Comfort food at its finest... The party began next door at the "Mudhut Pottery Studio" where my guests stretched out of their comfort zones to "throw" pottery. Everyone was successful! It was a perfect "pairing"!!! read more

First time coming here. Its sure is different from other brewing companies I'm used to going. I was puzzled when I walked in. I wasn't sure if I was at the right place. The upstairs has games, darts and comic books. The outside yard also has games but not sure what type of games. When I come back next time I will explore the place. Lots of selections on the menu but mostly sandwiches. Not really my thing to eat a sandwich when I go to a brew place. So I ordered wings on maple chipotle sauce and a side of fries. The maple chipotle sauce is so yummy-licious and the fries are nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside. Next time I'll order the meatball sandwich. I'm giving it a 4 star. That's due to the menu selections. If you're going to have mac n cheese might as well add 1 more selection on there like Chicken Alfredo on linguine pasta. Fried green beans, chicken coleslaw taco... just a suggestion. read more

The chicken sandwich was crunchy the bun was good the sauce was good. The bacon was a bit too chopped up but overall it was good. The spicy jalapeño tater tots were bomb. The sauce on it was soooo good. I think it is probably the best tater tots I have ever had. When you're full and you just keep eating them that's how you know they are good. Sometimes they put tol much sauce or too little but these tots were perfect and I love how they didny hold back ln the jalapeño. The price for the flights were pretty good. They had a broad spectrum of beers from really dark to sour. You feel like you are going to the doctor (the outside reminds me of many doctors offices lol) until you go inside and see an industrial rusticy brewery. I would go back for those tater tots for sure. read more

I have a dissenting opinion of the food and beers produced by this apparently popular brewery off the 91 freeway on Indiana. As is typical of many startups, industrial parks are the perfect place for large tanks and supplies. I first got curious about Thompson Brewing when I saw that their Pub Burger was voted a local favorite (others making the list included Johnny's Burgers and Zorba Burgers). I browsed the photos and reviews on Yelp so we made an impromptu decision to give it a try. We love boardgames and the establishment seemed both conducive and encouraging, however, I figured the first visit should include the widest sampling without being encumbrance by a hefty game box. When pulling up I realized I had driven past many times and never noticed the small signs. Regardless, it was a very hot day and we arrived hungry. Ordering was easy enough, while not busy there were a number of people sitting in the front section. The young man who took the order was knocking back a beer as he entered the details (where can I get a job like that?)- so chicken tenders, Pub Burger and mozzarella sticks with fries and potato salad for sides were placed. We selected six beers from the menu to load up our flight and upstairs we went to wait for the food and grab a spot. First, there was ample room and the kid-friendly atmosphere was evident from the younger target audience games to the rotating rack of comic books. Nothing like bringing the crew! Food and Drink: Well, the beers weren't exactly the coldest nor did any really stand out. We did rank them with the Irish Stout and ESB taking 5th and 6th. Not a great start, and it was predictably warm upstairs. They had large fans going but that created wind zones that blew napkins away and wasn't entirely comfortable. I discovered it was even hotter in the brewing room. The food was ready (you fetch it yourself) and I was excited. At first glance it all seemed fine. I loved the fries, and the mozzarella sticks are definitely a keeper! The lime-infused sauce was a refreshing change of pace from marinara. The potato salad was another highlight, fresh and just right, no attempts to get fancy, which is what I like. Then I tried the chicken, covered in the maple chipotle sauce and we both wrinkled our noses. Dry, tough, sticky and too sweet. Disappointing to say the least. My Pub Burger fared marginally better. My first indication was when I asked if they cooked to temperature (medium being ideal for a grass-fed burger) and the kid said they start frozen and well-done is the likely outcome. Frozen? Later I saw Kirkland clover honey in back so it started to make sense. The pretzel bun looked better than the overall texture that crumbled with each successive bite. The garlic sauce was nice, I loved the pickles too. The bacon bits, sadly, seemed to disappear and while I wanted to like it, I couldn't finish the burger. She couldn't get past the first chicken tender so I'm afraid at the end of the meal we weren't impressed. Overall, I think this is a great place for the family but not someone with bougie tastes. It's possible that I'd try other beers and possibly brunch but I couldn't really get into the vibe here. read more

Ordered brisket fries, and the brisket was overcooked and dry. Tangerine wheat was ok. There is not enough seating. In the brewery, we had to use a neighboring business picnic benches. Only one service counter for beer. I would honestly would not recommend coming. read more

Saw a post on Instagram and decided to give it a try. My first time coming here and was not disappointed. The ambience is nice, they have multiple dining areas to choose from. We went to the outside patio in the back with plenty of seating and a few games to play while you're there. Ordered the Pork Fries and was surprised by the portion. It looked small online, but it was a good amount and I couldn't finish it by myself. The meat was good, would just recommend getting more sauces on the side. The Brisket Mac & Cheese was a tad bit dry for me but had a nice flavor nonetheless. Ordered some fried pickles and mozzarella sticks which complimented our meals nicely. A bit pricey, about $25~ for each meal with a beer. Would definitely come by again to try out more off the menu! read more

Visited on a late Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. No greeting upon entry. Inside and outside dining available. Dogs are allowed on the patio (despite a sign saying service animals only); just have to walk them through to the back. Outside set up is nice though some tables are warped. Games are available. Our party wasn't a huge fan of the slushees or the selection of beer available. The food was pretty good though. However, as the Delta variant is rampant, there was zero mask wearing by staff - not even by those in the kitchen. Didn't see gloves being worn either. Only saw one customer and a family of 3 wearing masks when up and about and neither party stayed long. Likely would not return. read more

It has been a couple years since I've been. Yelp I insisting I write a review, so here goes. I enjoyed my Sandwich and cream soda. I haven't tried their beer, or much off the menu, mostly because they have odd business hours. Everytime I've driven by they have been closed. They don't serve any of my drink preferences either (Cider, wine, Mead), but that's probably a licensing issue. I did see a lot of potential, for a nice place to eat, drink and gather with friends. It would be nice if they had regular business hours, and maybe the occasional event. read more

I would give this place a 3.5-3.75 for food and beer, but I hate places that can't seem to manage basic cleaning (dirty floors, etc.). When I go out and am paying good money (probably a little overpriced here for what we got), I want the whole package: good food, good beer, nice vibe. Yeah, I get it's a brewery, but I've been in plenty of breweries and what should being a brewery have to do with basic cleaning and upkeep. Anyway, the food (the spicy chicken ranch sandwich and the pork sandwich) was tasty enough, but very basic and the chicken sandwich looked a little sad sitting there on the table, kind of like a stripped-down, base model car. We probably won't be back since we're rarely in Riverside. However, there were quite a few people there--mostly locals, it seemed--so having repeat business means we may have caught them at less than their best. Still, we paid decent money and it wasn't worth what we paid. read more

This is the best casual restaurant in the Inland Empire. We've been taking friends, family and our kids here for years and have never once had an experience that was anything less than great. Martha has elevated the kitchen and food experience to where I'd say the food is the highlight! Delicious home style cooking that feels like a backyard BBQ at times but tastes as good or better than any brunch, lunch or dinner restaurant. They've really done a great job of adding fun things to the environment as well. They've got board games ALL over, so it's a fun place for kids and adults. Plenty of space in each area and multiple areas to go to, so if you want outdoor dining, indoor dining, or the more "tucked away" upstairs area, there's something for you. I can't believe I didn't take any pictures!!! Food was amazing! We had breakfast sandwiches, tater tots, burgers and fries and a pretzel with cheese and nothing disappointed! I don't even like tatter tots and these were well done making them BOMB! Atmosphere was super chill. I have a 4 year old and am pregnant, we were able to kick back out back and watch the football games, my daughter could goof around and no one was annoyed, I was able to relax and my friends get a couple drinks in. We were looking for somewhere to take our younger cousins that was cool and unique to Riverside, without going downtown to someplace too crowded. We decided to catch this place right at opening. I have to admit I had never been to the eatery since they opened, but I had been following their Instagram and drooling over the endless and delicious looking specials they've been showcasing on the gram. I had a beer flight and sampled what a small selection of their huge selection of beers made in house. I enjoyed almost all of them, but especially the hazy IPA that I made sure to get a crowler full of on my way out. My wife and I split an assortment of appetizers and were impressed by what we had picked. I get the vibe from the menu that these are some family favorite recipes along with amazing experimental pinterest finds. Whatever the inspiration, they were all well done and extremely tasty. I just read that they have changed up their menu in the past week or so and from the sneak preview on Instagram I think I'm gonna love what I see the next time I go in. Local little gem well worth the stop! The food is excellent, drinks are good and the atmosphere is really fun. They offer indoor dining and outside patio seating. Pretty much everything on the menu is delicious, and they let you sample the beers. Price is reasonable for the portions they give.
