5 star dive bar, fo sho! Initially, during the transition to Dre's influence it was same old, same old. That quickly changed, however, and while I still haven't made it to prime rib nights, I can vouch for the noticeable uptick in quality and variety. Sandwiches and burgers are all great, as are the housemade mozzarella sticks with San Marzano sauce. Yum! My recent mind blower was the lasagne with the 4" thick garlic bread. This place is delicious! Delightful intentional, well crafted, and composed. The entire place tends to the details - parking lot was always too small - but now the mortuary behind them shares there and to make sure that the patrons know each parking spot has a sign! Taco Tuesday has always been elite here - simple home style ground beef tacos on pan fried tortillas, shredded cheddar cheese and iceberg lettuce - and they added an extra tortilla to eat the debris that used to be casualty loss - but not any more! Soup of the day was creamy potato with chicken, asparagus, and celery - it was divine! The menu features house made potato chips as well as lobster, caviar, a monte cristo and as well as lox! Do not sleep on the breakfast! Art - live music - great food and friendly people - this place is a gem. I do miss the baby shrimp cocktail that used to be on the menu though! read more

Been here many times and the last few times, Jackson has been our server. He is very kind, attentive, and always makes sure we have what we need no matter how many people are in our party. Came here in July and ordered the Figgy Piggy, which comes with a side and salad and fresh potato chips. You can add on the onion dip for an extra $4 and it really goes with the chips. The salad that comes with the Figgy Piggy is good, but I always take off the canned pears because I feel it ruins the salad. Throw on some fresh green apple or fresh pear instead! Came back last month and got one of my favorites: the Ortega burger. This is always so good and perfectly cooked, although it now comes with chopped chilis instead of a full chile, which is a bit of a bummer. I'm from New Mexico so my chile matters to me!! Another downside is there are no happy hour specials or specials on well drinks. I always get vodka sodas and they are $7 with tax, so that always affects how many drinks I will purchase. Came on a Tuesday night for the first time on my birthday after seeing a TikTok of this bar & I loved it! The whole vibe is perfect, dim lighting, music playing & they have the games if any playing on the TVs. Self seating as well as bar seating & patio seating. The food with so good! Got the bbq onion ring burger which was soooooo yummy! You would think, after living in the area for 45 years, we might have figured out this place was not a fly by night operation. It's been in operation for maybe 20 of those years? Its sturdy, red brick exterior is charming, the dark pub-like interior (tin ceiling tiles, classic red naugahyde booths) is as friendly as a warm hug, the servers and patrons wreaking with jovial-ness...IDK, is that a word???? So what took us so long? I confess, the main thing that always made me turn away was that stupid 6-car-only parking lot in the back. There are intimidating signs everywhere warning about being towed away if you dared to even think about parking in the big, empty Pizza Hut lot (which I'm willing to bet has never been full). Oh curious one, heart be still. Just go find the funeral home next door, because they are the "good neighbors" who share. So Sunday night, it just seemed to be the right thing to do...eat at Art's, after being hell bent to have Korean food. Obviously, that idea had not worked out as planned. That fateful nudge is all it took for us to venture inside this little gem, instead. And since it was a slow Sunday afternoon, we also scored one of those 6 prime parking spots! Auspicious, no? Indeed, the rest of this culinary adventure was delightful. Great server, excellent food, plenty to bring home. Mr B, who usually turns his nose up at pork tenderloin, ordered, you guessed it, the pork tenderloin entree (Just when I think I have him figured out). And he loved it. Beautifully moist and tender from a garlicky marinade, then sliced and topped with an elegant, chunky, fruity sauce (I am guessing golden raisins and brandy were ingredients. Quite unusual and very tasty. It came with some incredible mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Less adventurous, I went with a burger topped with melted cheddar and ortega chile. This had to be a half pound burger. The tender meat patty was actually larger than the brioche bun, and was cooked to a perfectly medium rare over a fire grill. Sensational flavor. Instead of the usual side of fries, I chose onion rings. These turned out to be some of the best onion rings I have ever had. Absolutely no regrets. We also shared a Wedge Salad, a very respectably sized iceberg lettuce wedge, plus spring greens, covered with crunchy bacon bits, cherry tomatoes, and a thick, creamy, house-made, blue cheese dressing. Yummers! The rest of the menu looked very enticing. Wednesdays and Saturdays they do Prime Rib dinners. Their breakfast menu will lure us in to try their Country Fried steak, and maybe even a Monte Cristo. Homemade soups. A few delectable dessert items that include homemade specialty cakes and creme brulee. Note: Posted on a sign at the door...They have no phone. Odd but true. And they do not take reservations. Alas, I could have been enjoying this winning package a long time ago. Now I know better. read more

Ambience is super chill! My girl friend said she comes here all the time and it was my first time. I was trying to take a picture of our food but we were too hungry after work lol got the glazed apricot salmon, holy smokes, perfectly cooked and full of flavor! It came w fried rice and veggies. The rest of the menu is comfort style food and my friend swears she's never had a bad dish here. Drinks were nice and strong and the bar tender was attentive, kind and kept checking up on us to see if we wanted anything else. I think the prices are reasonable given the taste and portion size. Came here because a friend told me she had a pastrami sandwich that was good. I'm a pastrami snob and this place did not disappoint. Only thing that bothered me was that they give you pickle spears instead of pickle chips inside the sandwich. That's the only thing that bugged me. Went to Arts Bar & Grill for an early Friday dinner. Only a few people when I walked in so I was hoping for a quick dinner. Bartender told me to sit wherever I wanted too. Thought since it wasn't too busy they would get me in and out before the rush. Sadly, took a bit for me to get noticed by the wait staff, once I did and put my drink order in, they were nowhere to be found. That's the only reason for them not getting 5 stars. Ordered the petite top sirloin medium with mash potatoes, vegetables and a side salad. It did not disappoint. It was flavorful, juicy and cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes were tasty and the perfect portion, same with the vegetables. It's an old Riverside staple, not what you expect from the outside of the building, but well worth walking in to get a great meal or cold drink. read more

First time here. Dim lighting, older furniture, chill vibe. Older crowd. Ordered the steak with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies and also the Prime Steak with baked potato. Steak was over cooked. But otherwise all was good. Decent prices and big selection on alcoholic drinks. Shrimp cocktail is highly recommended. Our waitress did take a while to take our order, she was chatting it up a lot, with her coworkers. I will come back and try other things on the menu. Tonight was Prime Rib night and my slab of beef was a perfect medium rare. One of the better meals I have has in quite a while. My wife had the wedge salad and grilled salmon. The staff is always friendly and the service is consistent. Art's is still the best dive bar and grill in the IE. I almost forgot the soup of the day was a delicious garbanzo beans and beef tomato based soup. I had a cup but wished I had the bigger bowl. The soups are always different and delicious. Came here on a Friday night around 7:45/8pm. We were super excited to try this place as we always drive by and it's highly recommended by locals. It wasn't jam packed but a good crowd for a Friday night. We ordered the chicken piccata, mushroom burger and mozzarella sticks. That mozzarella sticks were amazing and the pull was way better than we expected. The entrees however were a major let down. The chicken picatta didn't meet our expectations and looked like boiled chicken over mashed potatoes. The mushroom burger was soaked in some gravy like substance which we didn't enjoy. Our server, Bonnie, was sweet but lacked in customer service. We rarely got checked on and when we asked for a final round of beers it seemed as though she forgot and just never came back. My husband eventually just asked for the check and we made our way out. Don't think we'll ever come back as this was a major let down. But damn those mozzarella sticks are good. read more

First off, the cons: parking is bad. Arts technically only has like 5 parking spots --that's it. They tell you to park in the funeral home parking lot behind them. Because for some weird reason, Pizza Hut needs like 20 parking spaces. Apparently you'll get towed if you park at the Hut. Second, Arts was out of a lot of things.....certain beer...prime rib. And the prime rib is served beginning at 4 pm (only available on Wed & Sat)....we were there at 6 pm Wed which I consider early. These things were a bummer. We almost wanted to forego dinner here. There is street parking at a weird angle a couple blocks down which is ok I guess...but when there's a deserted auto body shop in between there and Arts, that has plenty more parking but no one can park at...it's ridiculous! Anywho, food was great, but very expensive. Their dinner house specials were around $25 each. Since when is Inland Empire serving LA food prices?! Had the same gripe with a Redlands restaurant. Coming back from Europe recently, food in Europe involves higher quality ingredients with a much lower cost. Might be hard to believe, but it's true. So it's shocking to see how much food costs in SoCal now --it's disappointing in general. Salmon was good. The pub ranch steak was ok....it's very tough, and it was $26. Would not get that again. Only had to since the prime rib was out. Fried chicken lollipops were good too but 3 for $13.....again felt pricey. They have creme brulee and a lemon velvet cake for dessert. Might try the latter next time. Service is ok...slow in the beginning since it was actually busy. And towards the end, kind of slow too. But once we ordered, the food came out reasonably enough. Overall, it is a fun vibe in there. Kind of like the "Cheers" dive bar as my husband puts it. He loves Cheers lol. And we epecially liked their trivia game which starts at 7 pm every Wed. You get free prizes if you win a round. For example, a $20 gift card. But you win $100 cash on themed event nights like Disney Trivia. I'd love to go to that. Hopefully some of those cons mentioned above get better. But only time will tell. I'd like to try their breakfast food, like the Monte Cristo next time. read more

My girlfriend and I came in the restaurant for our 3rd time a couple days ago. We sat down and were approached by one of the employees asking if we dine and dashed a month ago, much to our confusion. We found our email receipt from the day in question from their own email with our order and it being marked as "approved." despite this, we couldn't find the transaction in our bank statement, and were asked to give our card for them to hold We came in to take photos and sound bites for an advertisement my gf was making for the place to air on the radio that night, but the whole ordeal really sucked so we ended up leaving early. I get that since the bank didn't go through it must have looked suspicious, but their own email told us the transaction went through and why would we assume anything would have went wrong anyway? It really sucked being accused of that, especially considering how much we wanted to support to business, and honestly it feels awful. If you come here, double check if your transaction went through, even if their own email tells you it did. You don't want this to happen to you, being antagonized for something you didn't do sucks (obviously) read more
