Is it just me or a lot of Mexican restaurants incorporating some kind of Asian flair to their meals now. I've been noticing a lot of birria ramen lately at Mexican restaurants. Not complaining as I love both. This was a first time for me here. We were in the area and were walking around trying to find someplace for lunch. In downtown on Main Street, there wasn't much options to choose from as a lot of the places seemed to be closed or not open till later. We saw this place which there was 2 other guest on the patio but it was open. Checked out the menu but the birria ramen sign caught my attention. The restaurant itself isn't that big. Main seating area is on the patio which looks out to the boardwalk. Perfect for people watching. The waitress that took care of us was a major doll. Very sweet and friendly. Don't remember her name. Food wise, they had a good amount of your traditional dishes. I saw the ramen sign and that's what was ordered. Also the chicken quesadillas. Chips and two different kind of salsas was brought out to start. It could be a hit or miss on them but I can say it was a hit with these. Both of the salsas were quite tasty and had a nice spicy kick to it. Food, the chicken quesadillas were quite thick in the way it was prepared. Rolled and almost in a burrito formed and sliced for easy eating. Nice big chunks of chicken and a good amount of cheese. Came with a side of sour cream, guacamole and fresh jalapeño slices. Plus rice and beans which we opted just for rice. And of course the birria ramen. A decent size bowl with a very good amount of meat. Topped with red onion and cilantro. The broth was good. Flavor, it was decent and seasoned well. Overall, it was decent but the potions or meat made a difference. Food was quite nice and tasty. Both the ramen and quesadillas were enjoyed as well as the chips and salsa. It's a cute little restaurant which we quite enjoyed. Service was great and all the staff were amazing.

The drinks here are on fire!!! And by fire, I mean quite literally. The presentation is on point as they burn a bit of a cookie crumble? I should remember cuz I literally asked what it was...some almond peanut butter cookie? Anyways, all you need to know is that it sets the tone for a good time. The drinks are creative and delicious. We got the piñata flight, watermelon and cucumber margs. I love that you can sub out the tequila (which I did for vodka). 5 stars for the drinks. The food was average- we had the guacamole, torta and tacos. Was personally jot a fan of the torta. Portion size was good. Service was super sweet. Come for the drinks and the vibes after a nice dinner!

This place was cool. GREAT STAFF. There's a Hawaiian guy here who seems to be bar captain pushing out some great flavors on the fly. It's packed and seating is limited. I got a variety of hand foods but the Birria ramen sticks out as a good buy. When I had hit the spacey zone, the twilight zone, the Birria ramen grounded me and brought me back. The bathroom location sucks, can't really do anything about it but someone blew it up when we were there and it smelt like all kinds of budassy. Will return!

I was in serious need for Mexican comfort food, so came here for brunch with a friend. This spots located in downtown Riverside, walking distance from the Arcade Downtown and right across Center for the Arts. Solid place for brunch--chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, chicken + waffles, and more. We ordered chilaquiles, menudo, churros and café de olla (traditional Mexican coffee). It was packed, but we were seated in under 10 minutes. I don't know if it was rain, but my favorite part of the meal was the café de olla. It was perfectly warm and sweetly spiced. I could smell the cinnamon before first sip. The staff was friendly. The menudo was good, and churros were yummy. The chilaquiles were okay--I was hoping for crispier chips. I'm thinking I want to come back--especially after seeing the birria tacos at the table next to us. They looked really good.

Had a nice meal outside, stopped to have some nachos and was surprised by the serving size! Also got a caffecito, Vanilla Latte! So good

Cool spot! Came here for my husbands birthday breakfast, on a chilly and drizzly day, had no idea main seating was outside but made the best of it lol Wish they had outside heaters or would have put down the patio shades and also more inside seating but food made it all worth it! The waitress was sweet and attentive. I ordered the green chilaquiles with scrambled eggs, beans and rice. My husband ordered their breakfast burrito. My chilaquiles were delicious, beans were flavorful and rice was nice and fluffy - made to perfection. My husband enjoyed his burrito, good size and tasty salsa. I also ordered their cafe de olla to keep me warm lol and it was delicious! Definitely recommend, a must try!

My girlfriend and I stopped here to charge our Tesla at the charging station next door. What was supposed to be a quick intermission between our business trip became a pleasant experience thanks to our waiter Eric. My girlfriend ordered the Chilaquiles with Asada protein added and it was delicious. I ordered the Birria Ramen with a Watermelon Agua Fresca and it was a sweet refresher for a sunny day. We ended our dine-in with some Mexican Candy shots and they were 10/10. The atmosphere was great outside in a nice area of Riverside. Thank you Eric for the hospitality. I recommend this place to anyone and hope you get Eric as your waiter.

We passed at least 10 spots before landing and settling on this gem. The hostesses were our first line of contact even before we entered the threshold. Bright smiles and warm energy invited us right on in. Lulu and another hostess whose name I did not get, answered our questions knowledgeable and patiently. Once seated, our servers Gigi and John Carlo explained the 'new' happy hour menu, I believe. Both were just as pleasant as our hostesses. The drinks and presentation were exceptional! Shout out to the bartender for my gin/cucumber cocktail!! Amazing! My food was okay. I had wings and tater tots. The tots for me were cooked to a crisp... both times. My companion had the steak quesadillas and ceviche, which she enjoyed. I would definitely go back primarily for the vibe (enjoyed the ambiance of the outdoor seating) and the energy of the staff. It was obvious that they enjoyed working there and got along cohesive. Suggestion: Have a clear Happy Hour menu to avoid customers like me asking a whole bunch of questions, sometimes the same ones over again.

Spanish latte with vanilla bean cold foam

I just tried Fire Up's new little coffee spot, Cafecito, and what a lovely surprise it was! I ordered the Spanish latte with vanilla cold foam, and you can truly taste the quality. They use real vanilla bean, and you can even see the tiny specks in the foam, which made it feel extra special. The drink was perfectly balanced not too sweet, just smooth and delicious. Ashley was such a sweetheart and really helped me decide by asking all the right questions about what I like. It's so nice when someone takes the time to make sure you get exactly what you want. I also grabbed some lunch to go, and they included complimentary chips and salsa, which I thought was such a thoughtful touch. Little things like that really make a difference. I'll absolutely be back again on my next lunch break. Such a charming addition to Fire Up!

Above and beyond with service, the food is consistently great every time we come. Thank you to Marc and the rest of the fire up team creating a welcoming environment every time.

I've been to this bar multiple times and it never misses. The drinks are "fire" every single time, and their happy hour is actually worth showing up for. You can tell the bartenders really know what they're doing because the drinks are always balanced, strong, and made right. The energy here is what makes it stand out. The bartenders and servers are always a good time -- hyped, friendly, and genuinely on top of their service. It's the kind of place where you feel welcomed the moment you walk in and end up staying longer than you planned. Overall, it's just a fun spot with great drinks, great vibes, and great service. Definitely a solid place to start your night before heading to other bars -- or honestly, just stay here.

Ashley made me the best banana latte I've ever had! The coffee was strong and smooth and the cold foam was perfect! She even delivered it to me next door! You gotta try their new menu!

The tacos on the menu for the special was a carne asada taco, a shrimp taco, and a chicken taco. These tacos are on a rotating basis every week. The carne asada was more like shredded beef. Both that one and the chicken taco were good but nothing special. The shrimp one on the hand!!! Now that is one i'd write home about. it came with four shrimp pieces , and the taco shell was fried and perfectly crunchy. I would come back for that one any day! The service for us was interesting. Service was super nice but we weren't helped for a while. i think our seating placement might have been right in the middle of both the servers' territory so there might have been confusion on who was suppose to help us? We were literally in the very center of the half booths lol. Eventually the male server came by and apologied for the wait and was very very attentive to us for the remainder of the time:) alsooooo the taco at The State Redlands are slightly bigger than these so i beleive the Redlands ones are more filling.

The ambiance is well created with the dim lights, lit bar, and sounds of ice being shaken. My fiancé and I were seated right at the middle of the bar upon opening, and our bartender named Chris (?) was extremely welcoming with a sense of humor. He gave us an ample of amount of time to review the menus. We first got an IPA and the Love me Knot. For food, we ordered some Cajun fries and the party wings with red chimichurri sauce. The wings were fantastic! The fries were very crunchy, and I wish they were a tad bit softer. For our next round of drinks, we got the Old Fashioned and the Bee's Knees. The drinks were right on par. We left after a few hours and found ourselves quite satisfied. It was a fun experience and the monthly change of words above the liquor wall is always a conversation starter.
