I was looking for something different I eat for lunch this week and saw there was a Batter Rebellion nearby. I was excited as I had just been to the Yelp Elite event the night before! Ok so when I first searched this place the reviews were not astounding but I decided to give it a try myself and I was not disappointed. This BR is located in the Farm Collective which I had never heard of despite passing it everyday. When I arrived there was no one in the restaurant and I was greeted and helped immediately. I ordered a chicken sandwich I can't remember the name of it but the chicken was drenched in the sauce I chose which was spicy peach *chefs kiss*! The chicken sandwich came with fries which I asked for Cajun seasoning in them and they were so delicious! As I waited for my food I was able to chit chat with the manager Vanessa who was so down to earth welcoming and very informative she told me about the Farm Collective and the various shops, restaurants, and events that take place there! I really enjoyed our conversation and the food as well! My mouth is watering now just thinking about the food - needless to say I will be returning for lunch again next week lol overall 10/10 my only thing is that the chicken was kind of fatty and I picked through some of it to get the fat off but nevertheless sooo delicious! read more

I had never been to Redlands before I arrived 2 hours early so I could stroll around and see the sights. Got a little hungry so I ordered a house salad before the event. Our host was busy setting up so then everyone started showing up to check in. I quickly learned that Yelpers are fun loving people most very friendly and sociable with one other in common and we all love good food. Never have been a fan of catering but the food served was tasty just not hot temperature wise. There were about 75 people and we took turns going to the service line warming trays just kept the food warm I prefer my food HOT. Still everything was delicious the staff did a great job the owners were nice too read more

We rode our bicycles from Riverside on the SART over to here for lunch and had a good time. We ate at the bar and the service and food were great. It's more than the fun name that draw you inside, the people and the place itself say: "You're going to have fun here." read more

While visiting Farmhouse Collective, my friends and I decided to get lunch at Batter Rebellion and was left disappointed. Despite the restaurant being empty when we entered, we still had to wait at the counter before a server coming out to take our orders. We ordered the What the Cluck burger, Black Sheep burger and upstream poke. The Black Sheep burger arrived cold and lacking flavor, with waffle fries that were also cold and bland. The Upstream Poke was a very small portion for the price and overly salty. The What the Cluck burger was slightly better than the Black Sheep, but still nothing memorable. The food took a normal amount of time to arrive, but the burgers were barely warm when served. We weren't checked on at all after our food was served. Overall, I will not be coming back here. The food is too expensive for the quality that was served at. read more

Service was great, the lady helping us was super sweet. The place itself was clean and really good AC . However the food was horrible, we got the Cali burger, wings and Cajun fries . The burger was super soggy and so much cheese and thousand islands . The wings were stale and soggy. The fries were old and just had Cajun seasoning thrown on the top . Yum! The Kiss My Hass is spicy delicious and the Meltdown grilled cheese is ideal comfort food - not merely cheese but a perfect delight for the taste buds with tomato, avocado, and sauce- and bacon too. Food -- delicious. We LOVE the black sheep burger, poke nacho appetizer and regularly come back for it. Service -- not super professional or attentive or accommodating. We often feel if you ask too many questions, some servers get annoyed. If we dine in, sometimes they take our orders at the table and sometimes servers will walk right past us as if we are supposed to order at the front? Never really sure what to expect and doesn't seem like workers are trained on customer service rules of engagement at all as every server treats us very differently. And things like getting orders wrong, constantly running out of menu items like food and fries, not accommodating when things go wrong just add up. Went to the Farmhouse Collective today, and decided to have lunch at Batter Rebellion. We ordered the Black Sheep, and the Glazed Over Burgers. Wow, they were cooked to perfection and the flavors were absolutely amazing. The amazing Vanessa served us, and even recommended the right drinks to go with the food. Rather than attempting to resolve the situation, Brian argued with me, belittled me in front of other patrons, and repeatedly emphasized that he had been doing his job for over 30 years. I found his conduct to be unprofessional, disrespectful, and unnecessary. The delay in submitting my order was entirely beyond my control, as I placed my order before the lunch service ended. Instead of focusing on finding a reasonable solution, Brian chose to degrade me publicly. I also felt that I was treated differently because I am a Black man. While I cannot know his intent, the manner in which I was addressed and treated left me feeling discriminated against and deeply disrespected. I am extremely disappointed by this experience. I expected courteous customer service and a reasonable effort to address a situation that was not of my making. Instead, I left feeling humiliated and undervalued as a customer.

I got the hot chicken sandwich and I'm glad I got it medium because it came with a little kick! Medium is so perfect. The smashburger comes with an in n out style spread which I really dig. The serving staff is very kind, attentive, and customer service oriented. I appreciated that they were on hand for any questions, concerns, and overall smiles for the event. There is a stage for performances, 2 bar areas (inside and outside) and also enough space to have corn hole and other outdoor games setup. I could see a wedding (ceremony and reception) in this great space. Great work UCR at preserving and providing The Barn, an iconic venue in Riverside.
