Came here on a Friday night as a friends request. We sat outside where there was a DJ, such a vibe! It was definitely hot but they had multiple fans on full blast. Service was AMAZING and fairly quick even with it being a Friday night. Drinks were an absolute SMASH! We got Mexican candy shots that were delicious & had a mango margarita. Those margaritas were surprisingly strong & soo good! Only reason it's getting 4/5 stars is because my quesabirria tacos I felt were dry and lacking flavor. Everything else definitely made up for it so we'll be back. I think I just had high hopes because my friend hyped it up so much. I'd love to come back during their brunch! Or come back and try something new.
This is my 3rd visit here at Fire Up Grill and let me say it's always been 5 STARS. My friends and I decided to meet up with our coworkers since we have all retired. I spoke and texted with Manager Meghan to let her know that on Sept 9th at 9:30am they'll be approximately 18 people dining in. Meghan made sure that the tables would be arranged to seat 18 people. There's only patio seating unless you go inside and sit at the bar. It was 95 degrees at the patio but the did have a huge fan above one table. Shout out to our servers Dennis & Tony who took everyone's orders and checked on us periodically to refill our water & drinks. As always the food was really delicious. I always get the chilaquiles, but this time I had it with Chorizo and I loved it!! I also had the refreshing Watermelon Fresca. Overall our dining experience was 5 stars. Thank you Meghan, Dennis & Tony....oh and the Chef.
Bar tender Gigi was so sweet and attended to us quickly, ceviche and aguaschiles were so good! 10/10 service and 10/10 food and drinks.
The drinks here are on fire!!! And by fire, I mean quite literally. The presentation is on point as they burn a bit of a cookie crumble? I should remember cuz I literally asked what it was...some almond peanut butter cookie? Anyways, all you need to know is that it sets the tone for a good time. The drinks are creative and delicious. We got the piñata flight, watermelon and cucumber margs. I love that you can sub out the tequila (which I did for vodka). 5 stars for the drinks. The food was average- we had the guacamole, torta and tacos. Was personally jot a fan of the torta. Portion size was good. Service was super sweet. Come for the drinks and the vibes after a nice dinner!
This isnt my first time here, but it is my first time ordering a Carne Asada Breakfast burrito. It was pretty good, not great! Besides ot being small, the flavor was above average. What I did like was the salsa.
We were walking around and heard music. It was a live dj for brunch! We stopped in to check it out. Then I saw fire at a table! I went to be nosey and saw why it's called Fire Up Grill! Your first cocktail comes with flames. Awesome concept. The food was great. My raspberry mojito hit the spot, the margaritas too. Definitely give this place a try next time you're in downtown Riverside
The Dolly forever Stumbled upon Fire Up downtown and tried their Vanilla Espresso Latte.. SO good, not too sweet & had me energized for HOURS Definitely trying the horchata next and will sit down to eat since the lady's chilaquiles looked so good when I walked in.
I was in serious need for Mexican comfort food, so came here for brunch with a friend. This spots located in downtown Riverside, walking distance from the Arcade Downtown and right across Center for the Arts. Solid place for brunch--chilaquiles, huevos rancheros, chicken + waffles, and more. We ordered chilaquiles, menudo, churros and café de olla (traditional Mexican coffee). It was packed, but we were seated in under 10 minutes. I don't know if it was rain, but my favorite part of the meal was the café de olla. It was perfectly warm and sweetly spiced. I could smell the cinnamon before first sip. The staff was friendly. The menudo was good, and churros were yummy. The chilaquiles were okay--I was hoping for crispier chips. I'm thinking I want to come back--especially after seeing the birria tacos at the table next to us. They looked really good.
We absolutely LOVE coming to Fire Up when we are craving some delicious Mexican food in downtown Riverside!! They remodeled their seating area and there is so much MORE room!! We were really impressed, and honestly it brought much better vibes! We went on a Friday night around 8:30 and were sat right away. The hostess was incredibly friendly and SO helpful, even went around and checked on tables to make sure everything was going good. Our servers were also just as friendly and helpful! The food -- as always -- was incredibly flavorful and delicious. The menu has definitely changed a bit since we were last here, but everything was still so good! They also had a DJ set up on the patio and it was so perfect to set the best vibes. The music wasn't incredibly loud so we could still have a conversation and vibe to the music at the same time. Overall, it was such an AMAZING experience and I cannot wait to go back!!
This place was cool. GREAT STAFF. There's a Hawaiian guy here who seems to be bar captain pushing out some great flavors on the fly. It's packed and seating is limited. I got a variety of hand foods but the Birria ramen sticks out as a good buy. When I had hit the spacey zone, the twilight zone, the Birria ramen grounded me and brought me back. The bathroom location sucks, can't really do anything about it but someone blew it up when we were there and it smelt like all kinds of budassy. Will return!

Consumme e Birria, don't let them take the bowl, put it on everything! Mezcal Margarita, historia de Mezcal, you can taste it. Our server, Eric, took VERY good care of us, we will definitely be back! Disappointed and misled by the Instagram ad. Thought it was a new coffee and breakfast spot, but by noon it turned into a loud bar with a DJ and drinks flowing. Small space, mediocre service, and an automatic 18% gratuity. Definitely not the vibe I was looking for--won't be back. The conchas were not fresh as promised on their IG posts. read more

Finally got to stop by and Ashley made the experience so good. We tried the horchata latte and the cookie butter latte, and the cookie butter was honestly the best we've had. Love that they do different cold foam flavors every week too. Can't wait to come back! read more

Stopped by Fire Up and Ashley absolutely killed it behind the bar. She recommended the horchata latte and it was honestly one of the best drinks I've had in a while smooth, perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and that cinnamon flavor hit just right. You can tell she really knows what she's doing and cares about the drinks she puts out. Great service, great vibe, and the latte was 10/10. Definitely coming back and asking Ashley to make it again. read more

I come on my lunch break in the AM but always wanted to try the PM vibes and this was so good especially on a weekday night for drinks and dinner! Food was fresh,flavorful! The chef on Wednesday night did his BIG one ! Bartender Darren was THAT guy !!! Made me and my mom the best drinks and made sure we were taken care of Tbh 10/10 will def be my new spot ! read more

Service isn't great but that's expected at a super busy cantina where people are mostly drinking during the holiday season. It's a very lively place with music and a dj playing a good mix of (loud) music! The food is good and the drinks looked better but I didn't drink any so I wouldn't know. But if you want a crowd, and music this is for you. Otherwise go down the street to Tio's- their food is delicious and there's a bunch of cool artwork to see (if you're into that kind of thing). Also, found it interesting that the Riverside PD was here giving free breathalyzer tests as part of educating the public on how much they could drink before they hit the .08 limit (that's what they told me- I asked). read more
Amazing food. They were pretty packed when we went. I can't knock the servers as they were working as hard as they possibly could. I thought they were a little bit on pricey side until my food came out. So honestly, you get a lot of food for the price.. our meal was delicious. We ended up taking food home. The DJ was awesome and loud. The atmosphere was really laid-back and you just enjoy yourself. Listen to the music. Talk to whoever you want to or more or less shout across the table. I've seen other reviews but giving my honest review. I enjoyed myself. Food was delicious now drinks on the other hand. I felt were a little bit of a waste. It should've been called a fruit punch instead of a drink with alcohol, but I'm still not knocking them because our second drink was a beer and you can't go wrong there. My hubby and I enjoyed this place so this is somewhere we will return to. read more

Came here hoping for A cool experience like what I see On instagram.... The table next to us looked like they were getting the experience but our server was not that attentive to us.... Food was okay... got a torta could have had more meat in it.... drinks are Pretty good here tho.... read more
It's always a fun experience here! The music is loud, people are enjoying good food and even better drinks. The food has been a bit mixed across several visits, but I highly recommend the Birria and the chips and salsa, especially their spicy one. Drinks are great--the classic margarita, upgraded to Cadillac, is balanced and strong, and the Abuelita is perfect as an after-dinner drink. The main reason we keep coming back is the lively atmosphere. It always lifts the mood to be surrounded by happy people, partying with loud music and good food! read more

It was amazing. Found out about it on Instagram. Food was delicious. Fresh and served hot. Very clean. Service was excellent. Price was on point. The music and vibe great. You will not regret. First time eating here. Newly renovated. They have a nice patio for dining on Main Street Promenade. I had Chilaquiles with asada, so delicious. Asada was seasoned just right and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Their green salsa that comes with the chip is so good! But what made my experience the best was my waitress Mackenzie! Her personality and friendliness made my dining experience that much better! Fire Up is lucky to have her and I would request to have her as my server when I come back! Stoped in for lunch with a friend and we really enjoyed it. It's a small place, but we were able to grab a seat right away on the patio. We had a friendly server who properly treated us and gave us some chips and salsa. We ordered a couple of margaritas - watermelon and mango - and both were delicious! A fish taco combo with a side of rice and a shrimp taco combo with a street corn side. Both meals were great and we'd definitely come back again. read more

When I say this place is amazing, believe me! I wasn't able to find the location but I called and the owner was able to direct me. As soon as I walked in, the staff was super friendly. Went today to fire up grill to try out their new breakfast menu that launched today. Was not disappointed at all. The ABC omelette was delicious and the fire papas were amazing. I can't wait to go back. The service was super friendly and attentive. They also just decorated their patio and wrapped the windows in a new vinyl. Went for drinks and they were delish. I got the cucumber margarita and my friend got a Michelada flight, the margarita was made with agua fresca so you know it was good. The food was okay, nothing amazing but pretty good for appetizer type food. Definitely coming back for drinks again! read more

After a long morning at work decided to stop by for brunch, and it just hit the spot! The waffles and coffee paired together were AMAZING!!! Waffles had just the right amount of sweetness to go with the coffee. Not to mention they had a live dj for brunch. Amazing service and atmosphere. The food gives you the feeling of euphoria when you order it and when you finish it. Darren, Luis, and Juanito make an excellent waffle, so if you're craving something sweet and fluffy, I would highly recommend it. I've been coming here every Friday for the chicken flautas, also known as Flauta Friday to me. You will catch me here often, for a bite to eat, listen to some banger music, and enjoy a cold brew. Such a hidden spot in Downtown Riverside that I'm glad I have the privilege to know of. read more
