It's always a fun experience here! The music is loud, people are enjoying good food and even better drinks. The food has been a bit mixed across several visits, but I highly recommend the Birria and the chips and salsa, especially their spicy one. Drinks are great--the classic margarita, upgraded to Cadillac, is balanced and strong, and the Abuelita is perfect as an after-dinner drink. When I say this place is amazing, believe me! I wasn't able to find the location but I called and the owner was able to direct me. As soon as I walked in, the staff was super friendly. Went today to fire up grill to try out their new breakfast menu that launched today. Was not disappointed at all. The ABC omelette was delicious and the fire papas were amazing. I can't wait to go back. The service was super friendly and attentive. They also just decorated their patio and wrapped the windows in a new vinyl. Stoped in for lunch with a friend and we really enjoyed it. It's a small place, but we were able to grab a seat right away on the patio. We had a friendly server who properly treated us and gave us some chips and salsa. We ordered a couple of margaritas - watermelon and mango - and both were delicious! Amazing service and atmosphere. The food gives you the feeling of euphoria when you order it and when you finish it. Darren, Luis, and Juanito make an excellent waffle, so if you're craving something sweet and fluffy, I would highly recommend it. I've been coming here every Friday for the chicken flautas, also known as Flauta Friday to me. You will catch me here often, for a bite to eat, listen to some banger music, and enjoy a cold brew. Great food and service. I've only been there for breakfast and tried it on a Friday morning in December. Service was friendly and great. Food was delicious. I got their chilaquiles and a cafe de olla. I was the only one at the bar sitting inside because it was a little chilly outside but the patio was pretty full of customers. I gave 2 stars for the ambiance being on the Mission walkway, but that shouldn't be included because "FIRE" chose that spot.. It's a bar.. We're were charging on the roof and decided to go and have a bite to eat, being that it was a Wednesday, they were not busy, so I expected our waiter to be a little more attentive.. he did not smile, say welcome..I opted for the patio..the food came , he forgot my sides and it was cold when it finally came..my husband's burrito was also lukewarm not hot. I did try to get his attention but he was busy folding napkins.. did I mention it was not busy... I think going to a restaurant later in the evening, everything from service ,to smiles, to just sheer excitement for the common folk coming out spending hard earned cash should not be taken for granted. read more

My friends and I came here on Friday night to celebrate our birthdays, and honestly, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. When we arrived, security checked our IDs and told us the wait for our table would be about 15 minutes, which was fine. He said we could grab a drink at the bar while we waited. But the place was tiny and completely overcrowded, with almost no room to stand. We still ordered drinks and tried to make the best of it. Then, one of the servers (dressed as Catwoman for Halloween) rudely told me to "get out of her way" because she couldn't get through. There was barely any space to move, and instead of politely asking, she had an attitude like we were in her way on purpose. It felt really unprofessional and disrespectful. After waiting way past an HOUR, we noticed another party that arrived way after us get seated before us with menus and chips already on the table. When we asked about our table it was just an inconvenience to them. The staff seemed irritated anytime we tried to ask a simple question. Eventually, we asked for the manager, and the person who came over (dressed as a "king") and told him how unfair the treatment and service we were getting. At that point, we decided to just leave and take our celebration elsewhere. Overall, disorganized, and the staff were extremely rude and unprofessional. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place especially if you're coming for a special occasion. read more

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. They had a DJ playing some Spanish jams. The music was loud but I was still able to hold a conversation with my friend. The fries were good, the serving size was great for 2 people to share. The chips and salsa were also good. And the cucumber Margarita was delicious. It was really hot that day and the margarita was refreshing. I would say it's the best cucumber Margarita I've had so far. Will definitely be ordering that again. The service was great. Don't be fooled by the " happy hour " they post on their insta gram as it is only applies to the " original margarita" and the other 1-2 " original " cocktails. It looked like it was made with love. The egg+cheese sandwich absolutely carried the experience (seriously, give that thing a raise), and the matcha held its own as it was refreshing! Now the not so great... the huevos rancheros were unfortunately very, very, salty.. but I didn't want my money to go to waste so I made myself eat it.. The coffee was bitter, pretty but bitter. I usually like bitter coffee but this one caught me off guard haha The Customer service wasn't great.. The server asked if we needed anything else but was already walking away before we could answer. Overall, the matcha and egg+cheese sandwich was the best part from this experience. I would recommend those two.

We loved the food and the drinks. I also recommend the Black Widow, a very good drink to end our dinner date.

The owner, Santiago, allowed us to come a half hour beforehand to decorate & we came in, not knowing what to expect. Upon our arrival, the birthday cake was promptly whisked away to the kitchen, we found Santiago PERSONALLY on his hands & knees fixing the electrical cords for us, our servers introduced themselves & graciously helped us rearrange the set-up to accommodate the band we brought in. Then helped us rearrange the layout yet again once we realized the band needed to be next to the electrical outlets. I was embarrassed to even ask so I started doing it myself but they jumped right in without being asked. If I'm being honest, usually I'm not a fan of buffet meals, so I wasn't expecting much. But everything served was SO delicious! The fajitas were my favorite dish, not only flavorful but also nice & moist. Not only that, but they refilled the food for us as it ran out. They brought out to-go boxes for the leftovers, & best believe my family took home every last bite! The lime margarita tower was SO yummy but also hella dangerous because it was strong!! Other restaurants will give you watered down drinks but El Patron doesn't play. We were only planning on one but it was so good, we couldn't resist getting another. From start to finish, the servers (Leslie and Cecilia) were on POINT. Their service went above & beyond expectations-- continuously checking on us, refilling drinks/food, taking photos, etc. Not only that, but also, when my young autistic nephew unfortunately got sick, they were so incredibly compassionate about it & helped clean up the mess right away. I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail & quality of care. As my grandma is getting older, we are especially cherishing these final years with her. We spent thousands overall (venue, music, photographer, special mass, etc) but every last cent was worth seeing her happy with all of her loved ones. After many months of planning, I was super nervous about something going wrong but I can honestly say that core memories were made. Thank you to Santiago, Leslie & Cecilia for your hospitality, good food & work ethic-- it truly meant so much for our family unit.
