The overall vibe is pretty cool, and the horchata was really good, not too sweet. The nachos could use more meat, and as I mentioned earlier, the torta isn't anything special. The customer service is good, but they tend to want to take your plates away quickly, probably because they don't have much space. He's super friendly, always checks in on us, and shares great stories about his journey--once you try his food, you'll want to hear everything he has to say. My favorite dish so far is the chilaquiles plate. The quality is top-notch, and it's actually healthy--the chips are baked instead of fried. The Spanish rice was perfectly cooked (no hard pieces like you get at other places), and the beans were Peruvian instead of pinto. Bonus: both the rice and beans are vegan and gluten-free, so you leave feeling great after eating here. I came back the very next day for the menudo (available Fri-Sun), and it was amazing too. What a nice little hole in the wall place this was! First of all, the ambience and the plating that they use is the definition of rustic. Love all the custom decor they have in here, especially the chairs.
