Service was horrible, took an hour an a half for Nachos with Velveeta cheese. The tables were dirty and no places to sit.

The waffles are a 10/10. I had them for brunch and along with the brisket sandwich with grilled onions instead of raw. I left a happy camper! Sit outside in the back. They have plenty of tables with umbrellas. My dad got a beer that tasted like orange juice. It was super yummy. The maple chipotle chicken has a good kick to it fyi ... I preferred just the waffle. These expectations were exceeded Ambiance: it's a big brewery with an upstairs and outside seating area, they serve food and a large selection of beers. 4/5 Hospitality: everybody was very nice, usually when I come to breweries I ask the server for suggestions on a flight and they helped me great. 4/5 What I ordered and review: I ordered a flight, the beers were all good. I saw other peoples food and even though I didn't order any, it all looked good, gastropub type foods. 4/5 What makes this place special: it's a big beautiful brewery like a mini version of Firestone Walker, golden road. Worst thing about this place: I do think this place would benefit off having waiters for tables or a QR system over having to wait in line whenever you need a beer Final recommendation: it's a great place to go with friends if you're a beer lover or even a beer liker. read more

Seriously a hidden gem! I found this place through Groupon and it's now my favorite brewery. My husband and I had the flights and we loved every single one of our selections. Cute outdoor seating area, friendly staff, and chill atmosphere. The space was clean and rocking 80's rock. I ordered the pretzel with cheese and was disappointed the pretzel didn't have salt, the cheese was good. My best friend got the loaded potato skins and had to pay 2.50 extra to add bacon. Prices are kinda steep. The hot mess sandwich was just ok, the sauce was too much maple and not enough chipotle and I feel that bacon slices would've been better. The tangerine wheat beer was pretty good and they had a wide variety of IPA's. I'd give a 3.5 but since you can't give 1/2 stars I rounded up to 4. read more

Great place. Great people. Great food. Great drinks. It was pretty busy when I went and our food still came out in a timely manner and was hot and fresh. The cream soda is made in house and is very tasty. The meat is tender and seasoned to perfection. The fried pickles were delicious and as well as the baked beans. The BBQ Pork Sandwich was my favorite. The brisket on the nachos was also delicious. My only complaint is that the nachos had too much BBQ sauce on them. I've been to Thompsons about 3 times and each time I've visited, I've had great experiences. Staff are friendly, wide selections of beer and food is great. They have something for everyone. I like that they have multiple seating areas: the entry room, upstairs and the outside patio. Lots of space for groups! They also have games available to play! The last time I visited, they had an Oktoberfest beer which was really nice. Definitely one of my favorite breweries in the area! 10/10 read more

Amazing brewery and my new go to here in riverside (sorry to all the other guys!). First off beer is amazing. I am a stout girl and I loved the Russian stout. It's a little over 11% so I can only do 2 without becoming a fool but yes so smooth and delicious. Secondly the food. So this is a brewery and food should not be a priority...that being said while nothing is fancy it will for sure hit the spot! I've had blue cheese burger, jalapeño poppers (So freaking big!), the soft pretzel (also big) and loaded jalapeño spicy fries. The only negative I will say for the food is if the pretzels can come with a nacho cheese sauce.... Not knocking the business and their efforts but they do give you their version of homemade cheese sauce and it kinda tastes more like breakfast gravy ;p Games are everywhere and yes some are missing pieces due to all the people I imagine who have played them and possibly even not so sober people forgetting to put pieces back but that did not stop my crew from improvising and having more fun The atmosphere is kinda like "I'm here, have a beer, and kick back". No fancy decor, food, or foo foo drinks. Just a place to have fun. It's great that there's a place like this is in Riverside, but neither my wife nor I were impressed with any of the beer we tried here. I counted 22 beers on the menu that they make--we tired 3 of the IPAs and the saison. Not great. How can they make anything good when they're spread out between 22 brews? My family and I went to Thompson Brewing Company for my birthday recently. The food was amazing, and so was the service. Most members of my party did not drink, but they ranted and raved about the food. Those of us who did drink were very happy with our choices. The ambiance was casual and comfortable. Considering this was the beginning of August and it was rather hot, it would have been nice to have some misters outdoors, but there were shaded areas, and the drinks helped to cool us down. I will definitely be going again once the weather cools. I later found out there was an upstairs area with arcades for the kids. This place is kid friendly. The outdoor area had games for both adults and children to play. Overall, I loved this place. I'll be back! read more

The food is pretty good, but a little pricey. My husband doesn't love their drinks, but they're not bad, it's just a preference. They have a neat ambiance. Worst experience ever. First time coming here, ordered at the table due to signs at each table stating this. After 30 min was told ordering at table service doesn't work. Re ordered the food and instead of having meal expedited waited another 30-40 in to receive food. Group behind us had the same issue however received their expedited order in 10 min or less. Very disappointing, tired to give benefit of the doubt but won't be returning. Response to owner. No refund was given as we understand mistakes happen. However to not have food expedited and to wait almost another hour is very disappointing. I will say I do believe the team might have been aware of the ordering at the table not working because as I mentioned after we found out, a group that came later was told the same thing. However they received their expedited order in less than 10 min almost the same time as us receiving ours. read more

Very welcoming and nice staff. Came in at 2 on a Saturday, not too busy. Got their flight of 4 for $9.50. Tangerine Wheat was super refreshing and not overpowering of fruit taste. Passionfruit Pink Guave was amazing and SUPER easy to drink to the point it's dangerous. Their Nelson Galaxy Hazy DIPA wasn't to hoppy and had a great refreshing flavor. Their Belgian Triplel which is 10.5% was smooth for an ipa of that caliber. Food. Their brisket nachos are amazing!!! Nice people that work there but took a really long time to get food. We were a party of 8 but when we did receive it, some of the food was really over cooked (chicken wings, hamburger) and they ran out of fries and substituted tasteless tater tots. Most sandwiches were $20 and really didn't feel like they were worth it. Don't think I'd try it again. read more

I often travel for work and love to try local places. First off let me tell you that I ordered my food, got a honey beer (which was delicious and I hate beer), sat down and had my food in minutes. It was amazing!!! Brisket sandwich and fried pickles! Acadianas in San Antonio has always been my favorite spot for fried pickles. But Thompson Brewing have them a run for their money! Saw this place on IG and decided to give it a try. I got the Brisket Jam and it was fantastic. Fry were great and got a few dipping sauces they were all delicious. I had an IPA and the Nut Brown I enjoyed both. I got here shortly after it opened and it did get packed. The cashier and server were very helpful and polite.
