This place is phenomenal. Friendly staff, and incredibly flavorful food. The spicy ground beef is a must order (it's title doesn't do it justice, just order it). Spicy mango salad is good, and pad Thai is actually quite good. read more

This is by far one of my favorite Cambodian restaurants. It's quite hard to find a good Cambodian restaurant. For most people, Elephant Walk might be their first experience with Cambodian food experience but let me tell you, that restaurant is not authentic at all. It's very Americanized. But Thmor Da is different. I usually go to Lowell for good Cambodian food but not anymore. Thmor Da is located in Revere which is more accessible than Lowell. You can take the blue line to revere beach and it's a 3 mins walk from the station. I always have great experience with the food here. Even my friends who never had Cambodian food love this place. My favorite things on the menu is the seafood chow foon or mee kantang. Their beef loc lak is good too. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try Cambodian food or just good food in general. Their service is pretty good too. If there aren't a lot of people, you can expect your food within 20 mins. The only thing I don't like is the water. Their tab water has a weird taste so definitely order a drink or hot tea unless you don't mind the taste. read more

Having read some good reviews about this place and it's proximity to where I live, I decided to try it out. Went for something basic but what I got was a big disappointment. Ate a little then put the rest 3/4 back in the bag and trashed it. What was that anyway? I ordered fried rice with chicken and she brought it out packaged and ready to go as I had requested. Lo upon getting home I nearly had a heart attack- recall Ron Swanson's reaction on parks and recreation when he finds out that that Chris Traeger was grilling portobello mushroom when he was expecting steak. Pissed off am just going to snack and call it a night. Yes read more

Great Cambodian restaurant, I have been eating here for years. 5 or 6 tables, very clean. Fast service. Friendly waiter. Kitchen is also clean(have to pass the kitchen to use the bathroom). Ordered 2 bowls of noodles(rice noodles) one with beef and meatballs and A1 special (beef and seafood) . Both dishes were great, fresh tasting as always, with plenty of meat in both. If you have a good appetite and are hungry, order xlarge, which is only 9.00. Tea served as soon as you are seated. There's a little fridge where u can choose from different bottled juices and canned sodas and iced tea. They also make shakes, and boba tea(almost like a slushy)typical in cambodian/Vietnamese restaurants, (drinks with or without the black pearls, 3.00, 3.50 with the pearls. BBQ beef on a stick (cambodian style beef teriyaki) delicious, tastes just like my mother in laws, although they were all out :(. Tiger Tear is also good, can order it spicy or not spicy. I go spicy and it is really spicy :) really good. Try it if your in the area. read more

Small neighborhood place, family run. Good food. Complicated menu is all over the place, descriptions all kinda sound the same in each category - maybe tough to translate the dishes. Might be easier to also give the actual name so one could look it up and see what it really contains. But.... the things I have gotten have been really good. Its a self proclaimed Cambodian restaurant, but they cover some Thai and Vietnamese influences too. The Rice Noodle Soup is borderline Pho style soup. I like the Rice Noodle Soup with beef stew, kind of like a Pho with curry stew. Not as subtle as Pho broth. The stir fry type dishes are also good, like most thai stir fry stuff. Curry was good. Portions are generous. Food is good. To be honest, there are 90 items on the menu, and I have had 10 of them, so maybe I haven't found exactly the best one yet! All the things I order have been been consistent week to week. If this place was not 2 blocks from my house, I might not go there as much. I probably wouldn't drive across town to eat here. read more

This is the first time I ever taste Cambodian foods and I really enjoy what this restaurant has to offers. After reading the reviews from Yelp I went out to give this restaurant a tried at dinner time. The restaurant located just a block away from Revere Beach T station. It's was a small place but very cute, clean and well lite restaurant on a busy street. The staffs was very friendly and helpful when I asked recommendation what to order. I finally ordered the fish cake, papaya salad and the stir fried mix vegetables with seafood. I also had the durian smoothie. The foods came out about 15 minutes. All the dishes was great! I will be coming back to this restaurant more often. read more

Excellent place. Tiger Tears is my absolute favorite. These folks are friendly, attentive and willing to make spice-free dishes for the kids. I go out of my way to come here. read more

I'm not sure if we just came on an off day, or people just have lower expectations to food in this area... My friend really wanted Cambodian food and was really excited to find this place even though it was a bit of a trek for us. We arrived around 1 on a Sunday and easily found parking on the street. This place looks small and authentic enough - it seems like a family run restaurant. There was only one waiter serving the whole restaurant so things were a bit slow... understandable. My qualm was with the food. It seems like everything we ordered was either not fresh, not cold, or just wasn't good. None of us were as picky as Goldilocks, but the food was really disappointing. We ordered the papaya salad, took one bite and didn't touch it for the rest of the meal. The papaya was NOT FRESH and tasted really off. It wasn't the fish sauce - the three of us have had a LOT of Asian cuisine and know when fish sauce is used right. Next came the tiger tears. This was the most edible dish we had, but still... wasn't great. We also ordered a small bowl of the special soup noodles, but it came out lukewarm. To the point that the bean sprouts in the bowl never fully cooked. I mean... COME ON! It's a huge pet peeve of mine when soup doesn't come out HOT. We also had fish cakes - not really memorable except for the sauce. And the last dish was chicken wings. The wings were just really average and nothing "Cambodian" about them at all. They were also a little too overly fried and crispy. The prices were really reasonable, but I won't be back. read more

People are very very nice. Food is prepared well. But I was hoping for more distinctly Khmer dishes on the menu, and it's not labeled well as it is; for example "Spicy Chicken" (as ambiguous as it gets) is just the same as the thai dish kaprow gai. Hoping to see more dishes like samlors, amok, etc. Maybe they're there but theyre named something non-descript. Ask to see the picture menu if you can, even if youre familiar with Khmer food. I definitely am a fan though! read more

What a gem! This kind of place makes business travel fun, the food.... just amazing and so fresh, nice service with a smile and very inexpensive, place can use some TLC, but it's also part of the charms. If you are in the area and are a foodie , you absolutely want to try this place. read more

On the way back to Logan (the airport, not the X-Man,) we stopped here for a quick lunch. Be cognizant of the signs where you park on the street. There are several streets that tow non-residents. I almost want to call this place a 'hole in the wall' because of its size, but its large following locally probably precludes that label. It only has maybe 10 tables (at the most) total, but it thankfully wasn't that busy on the Sunday afternoon we stopped by. It's been so long, that I cannot tell you what anyone in my party ordered, but I can say that it was as good as we expected, given the high praise Thmor Da gets on Yelp and Trip Advisor. Total, we were in and out within an hour. And the proximity to the North side of Logan makes this place ideal for a meal on the way to a flight back home. What I'm trying to say is that I'll be back pretty much every time work or pleasure brings me to NE. read more

Best Chow Foon ever! this place has great service and very friendly. Thai Iced Tea and Coconut Shakes are my faves also. Best chow foon noodles available in the north shore. Some have said it depends on the chef who is working... I don't order anything else but chow foon noodles and my family always gets at least 4-7 plates... always satisfied the craving. All other restaurants in Lynn doesn't have good chow foon. read more

Good Service, Clean Restaurant, quiet and quaint . I ordered a steak and rice dish. It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. You could tell the meat was a good quality because it was extremely soft. I've never eaten authentic cambodian food but there was a home-type feel to the place and several neighbors of mine were regulars and mentioned it was as authentic as Cambodia itself. I would go back. My Steak meal was $10 bucks. That's a deal in my book. read more

The food here was great. I ordered the chopped fried noodles with beef, my partner got the Chinese broccoli with shrimp and fried rice. We each ordered a fruit smoothie- honeydew, and mango- delicious. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. While our sever was friendly, it took a really long time for her to come take our order. I got my food and managed to eat all of it before my partner's food came. When his food did come, they brought the dish with beef instead of shrimp. When we were done, we sat around for a good while before the server asked if we wanted the check. We were there for a pretty long time-- this was pretty disappointing as there were several tables that came after us, and left before us. I would come back and get take out here, but that's it. read more

The old Floating Rock on Shirley Ave. in Revere is now called Thmor Da. As the last reviewer said, the menu is still the same as Floating Rock's and I even think there might be some other dishes on it that were not on the previous menu. I couldn't find anything online about it so I chanced it and went to the restaurant to grab take out. The decor is still the same which kind of made me feel like I was 'home' since I went to the Rock so often before they relocated. The hours are the same as well-close at 8pm and closed on Tuesdays. The young man sitting in back was so friendly and adorable! He greeted me when I came in and instantly handed me a menu, a take out menu, and a business card and left me to order. A nice young lady came out and took my order which I only had to wait about 15-20 minutes for. I ordered the first meal I ever ordered at the Rock-Tiger's Tears and sour soup with spare rib and coconut milk. Prices are exactly the same as the Rock's, ranging anywhere between $6.50-$9.99. The waitress apologized that they didn't have any spare rib for the soup but I could substitute, so I went with pork. Cutie-pie offered me some tea while I waited for my grub. Got my order, payed up, and went home. Oh. My. Lord. Seriously?! I'm ruined. I'm going to have to have the coconut sour soup with pork at least once a week. I don't think I can live without it. If you're a fan of pork, you will love this. I've always bought this soup because I really love the sweet taste of it, and I really want to order the other soups but I crave this one. The meat was so tender with nice fatty bits which made it just a wee bit greasy and *NOM NOM NOM*. The Tiger's Tears were fantabulous as well. Very tender pieces of beef with plentiful peppers and onions, plenty of sauce and spice. Very tasty. My taste buds and my full belly are very happy right now. So if you enjoyed Floating Rock, please go visit Thmor Da. You will not be disappointed. read more

I went here with the roomie last Friday night since we wanted something tasty and different from our usual Friday night fare (KFC). I went here once before when it was Floating Rock and I was glad to see the room was a bit more bright and airy looking than before. I ordered the crab soup, spring rolls, and egg rolls. I was not in the mood for anything heavy so this was just right. Everything was very tasty and my only complaint is that the spring rolls were a bit more chewy than I expected. Otherwise the meal was enjoyable and I plan on going back to try the chow fun. read more

The food is great! Tiger's Tears is an awesome dish. Prices are a bit high and an early closing time (8 PM) merit a one star deduction.

5 stars without a doubt. The folks at Thmor Da do it right. Don't be fooled by the outside of this little storefront in Revere. Inside is a nice, clean, cozy little Cambodian restaurant that serves some terrific food. This was my first time with Cambodian food and I wasn't sure what to expect. It was great. The Tiger Tears salad and the spicy beef salad were great. Similar looking dishes but with two very different and delicious flavors. The spice level was perfect. Cambodian Pad Thai was very good, surrounded by hard-boiled eggs and covered with thin sliced cucumber. The spicy chili pork was quite spicy but delicious. We ordered it regular and that was hot. You can have it less spicy if you want. The food was great but that is only half of it. The staff at Thmor Da was incredible. Our waitress, whose name I can not spell(!) was fantastic. She was so nice. We were warmly greeted and she answered all our questions. One thing I noticed was how nicely she made sure we knew about the spice level without making the assumption that so many other restaurants that serve spicy food do. Too many places assume you have no idea about the spice and that you won't be able to eat it! Drives me crazy. She took great care of us, checked in to make sure things were ok and even opened the door for us as we left. It was wonderful to go to a place where the emphasis was on taking care of the customer and providing great food. I can't wait to go back!! read more

Extremely appetizing Cambodian food. The service is excellent and friendly hostesses/hosts. I always get the chicken with steamed Chinese broccoli or the the tiger tears salad. Both have great flavor, not overpowering on the spice or sauces. The pad Thai is always a good standard option, but of course there are many traditional dishes to choose from. read more

This was a weekend lunch and admittedly we were there for noodle soup and judging against good Pho. We walked over from Revere Beach(10 min). My wife, daughter and their friend (chinese) found the soup bland and the noodles just okay. I thought the beef balls I tried were good, thy did't have an issue with them but the beef in the soup was overcooked. I think because it was sort of thickly sliced it seemed tough. I got the Fresh roll and the Pad Thai Cambodian style ( no meat) and I thought it was good. If your in the area okay, but not worth traveling for from Boston. read more

This little hole in the wall is a hidden jewel, one of the best authentic Cambodian cuisine. The traditional sweet and sour countrystyle fish soup is totally amazing and an incredible value at just $10. The papaya salad is incredible. Just the right sourness and the right flavor. The spicy beef salad is very good as well with the beef always seasoned to perfection and the vegetables are always fresh and perfect. The chicken stir fry is flavorful and tasty and the beef chow foon is delicious. I've been eating authentic Cambodian cuisine all my life even back home and this place is truly authentic. The food is great and the service is great. The young friendly waiter always smiles and looks happy to see and serve you all the time so it's always a pleasant treat. The only thing I wish for is a fine authentic Cambodian cuisine like this in Chinatown. It's a real shame that there is none because I think Cambodian food is superior to Chinese and Vietnamese food. read more
