This is the most delicious pho (#30).

I loved this place... The food is delicious, and I don't understand the negative reviews about this place. 100% recommended.

Came here randomly one day. It wasn't that busy so we got seated right away. They took the order after a few minutes as well. The order came pretty quickly and we got some extra bowls for my sons. It was a smooth dinner and it was good so far

They rebranded about 1 year ago and have switched to 'Pho Eastern' to differentiate from 'Pho Hoa', which is the original restaurant in Dorchester. I love this place and crave it weekly. I love the pho broth. I love the people. I'm so grateful it's in Malden. Don't come here to complain about service. This is not where you go to be waited on hand and foot--even though they will happily do this! If you need something, ask. You can either get complimentary hot tea or tap water when you sit--if you want ice in your water, ask for it as it is served without ice. They also have a full bar for those who prefer something with a buzz. If you don't want something on the menu, ask if it can be modified. This place goes a long way to please their customers' requests. Even smoothies can be made with juice or water instead of dairy. I hope to continue to see this business excel. Thank you, Pho Eastern!

Very disappointed by their beef pho... literally 3 pieces of meat. I ordered a LARGE. Wont come back anymore.

I used to like coming in this restaurant for the Pho. It was good. The other night I went there with my family total of five people. After we ordered, had our food ready to pay the bill the server came to the table, notify me that they automatically took out a tip of 20% on my check. This is something new to this restaurant. The last time I was there was a few months ago with the same amount of people. Tipping is a privilege not a right. I tip all the time and was going to tip on my bill, but this is something they should've said prior to being seated. Now that they said that they automatically took a tip out that I was going to do anyways sort of irritated me a little bit and I will not be returning to that restaurant I have no complaints about the food or the staff just the way they did that business.

Special Rice Plate with broken rice

This place has improved through out the years, the difference from my recent visit compared to the last time I visited when they first opened is huge. Of course there are some things for improvements. From my recent visit, we ordered the spring rolls sampler, extra large special pho and a special rice plate. Spring rolls sampler (grilled beef, grilled pork meat balls, shrimp) : This is something they should improve on, it's not consistent. It's a hit or miss, unfortunately on my recent visit, it was a miss. The rolls were falling apart as I picked it up. The sizes between my visits are not consistence, this time the rolls were on the smaller size. Also, the grilled pork in one of the rolls was served to me cold while it supposed to be hot. It was such a dissappointment as it is one of my favorite type of springroll. Extra large special Pho: my husband said it met his expectations and they also did not cheap out on the meats at all. The flavors are there but personally I think they could improve on the flavors a little bit more as for me it's still a little bland. Special rice plate: This is the STAR of the show!!! I think they have the best Vietnamese rice plate in all of MA! I would come back here again and again and again just for this dish. The rice they served was broken rice which is the correct type of rice for this dish. The pork chop was cooked to perfection, it was so flavorful and moist. The shredded pork skin, meat loaf, and crispy shrimp tofu were also very tasty and fresh. It also came with not one but two fried eggs! Service was fast and friendly.

Honestly, this place is one of my favorite to get Pho from around this area. So easy to walk in, sit down and enjoy their delicious food. Service is always very friendly and ready to assist. Casual dining.

I wanted to love this place. The fried rolls were fine. Tasty. But when the pho came. I was quite disappointed on how little flavor there was. Almost like it got diluted too many times. I was so sad. No depth. Maybe I came on a bad day? Who knows. But all I got to say is that the soup had no deep flavor.

    04. Goi Cuon Nem Nuong
    Angel P.

Great Vietnamese option in Malden, better than most of the other options in town. I ordered the goi cuon nem nuong and a small pho tai, bo vien. The goi cuon nem nuong was good, however they gave a large unnecessary amount of sauce. I've never seen that much given for one order with two rolls. The pho itself was good. Good amount of meat given. Service could be a lot better. The table of 4 all ordered pho but we were never given our garnish dish (bean sprouts, lime, basil, etc). It's usually given before or when the pho comes out. We had to ask our waiter for it and it came 10 minutes after the pho dishes came. The restaurant is in a plaza, so there is a parking lot.

I came here pretty often when I lived in the area and it's a solid place for pho. I always get the avocado smoothie which is super creamy and not too sweet. Their strawberry smoothie is decent but taste a bit too artificial for me. Their pho is pretty good. It comes with a lot of protein and the broth is usually flavorful. I also get the com dac biet which comes with a variety of toppings in the dish. The pork chop is usually very flavorful and perfect with rice but the other toppings are also delicious.

Shrimp Roll and Grilled Pork Meatball

A great addition to Malden, Pho Hoa is here serving up great beef noodle soups! Each regular beef noodle soup is packed with lots of beef and noodles - definitely worth it. For apps, I tried the shrimp spring roll, grilled pork meatball spring roll, and the crispy egg roll which were all tasty. I would steer clear of the seafood noodle soup. I was very disappointed in the lack of seafood in my bowl - it was mainly veggies and very little seafood. I have yet to try their rice dishes but the photos look amazing so can't wait to go back and give it a try!

Giving this place 5 stars because not only was the service fast and friendly but also everything I tried was amazing. The shrimp pho was really good and very filling and appetizers #20 & #21 were my favorite part of the meal.

What a lovely place! A beautiful bar and fantastic holiday decor. We had the vegetarian Pho and it was very good! Would like a smidge more star anise. Fried appetizer was delish. No ban xeo on the menu.

I don't usually like the fatty chashu ramens come with, so this was perfect for me. Very lean yet tender. Spring onions were slightly blanched - so not awfully "spicy". The other toppings were fantastic too! The soup base was tasty. Noodles were were very thin and can tell they were hand made. Service: absolutely amazing! I order my food early but couldn't pick up until 20 minutes later. When I walked in, I told the owner I wanted to pay now but pick up in 20 mins. He hesitated and I apologized for the inconvenience. He said it's not a problem at all, he was thinking the noodles would be soggy so it wouldn't be the best taste. So he said he can wait until I come back to prepare it in a minute for me to pickup. This type of service is incredible! I came back 20 min and he went to prepare my noodles right away. To show my appreciation, I ate it in the car ride home (I was passenger). It was so good!! The atmosphere is sleek and stylish, with nice decor and an open layout that includes a central bar. There's plenty of seating, making it a good spot for larger groups. We tried a few different dishes during our visit. They started us off with a couple of unique side dishes on the house, which was a nice touch. For our meal, we ordered the chicken satay, a pad thai, and a curry with steak. The chicken satay, unfortunately, wasn't for us, the flavor was different than what we expected and we didn't end up finishing it, though others might like their interpretation. The pad thai was delicious, with a really generous portion size and great flavor. The real highlight of the night was the steak and curry. The steak itself was cooked perfectly, really tender and juicy. It went amazingly well with the rich curry. The curry had a slight, building kick to it that paired perfectly with rice and brought the whole dish together. We ended the meal with the mango sticky rice for dessert. It was presented beautifully with the rice shaped into a heart, and it tasted perfect, with it being not too sweet at all. The scoop of ice cream on the side paired with it really well. It's a solid choice for a nicer Thai meal with a cool vibe. While not every single dish was a home run for us, the highlights were genuinely excellent and made for a really enjoyable dinner.
