Came here randomly one day. It wasn't that busy so we got seated right away. They took the order after a few minutes as well. The order came pretty quickly and we got some extra bowls for my sons. It was a smooth dinner and it was good so far

They rebranded about 1 year ago and have switched to 'Pho Eastern' to differentiate from 'Pho Hoa', which is the original restaurant in Dorchester. I love this place and crave it weekly. I love the pho broth. I love the people. I'm so grateful it's in Malden. Don't come here to complain about service. This is not where you go to be waited on hand and foot--even though they will happily do this! If you need something, ask. You can either get complimentary hot tea or tap water when you sit--if you want ice in your water, ask for it as it is served without ice. They also have a full bar for those who prefer something with a buzz. If you don't want something on the menu, ask if it can be modified. This place goes a long way to please their customers' requests. Even smoothies can be made with juice or water instead of dairy. I hope to continue to see this business excel. Thank you, Pho Eastern!

Very disappointed by their beef pho... literally 3 pieces of meat. I ordered a LARGE. Wont come back anymore.

I used to like coming in this restaurant for the Pho. It was good. The other night I went there with my family total of five people. After we ordered, had our food ready to pay the bill the server came to the table, notify me that they automatically took out a tip of 20% on my check. This is something new to this restaurant. The last time I was there was a few months ago with the same amount of people. Tipping is a privilege not a right. I tip all the time and was going to tip on my bill, but this is something they should've said prior to being seated. Now that they said that they automatically took a tip out that I was going to do anyways sort of irritated me a little bit and I will not be returning to that restaurant I have no complaints about the food or the staff just the way they did that business.

Special Rice Plate with broken rice

This place has improved through out the years, the difference from my recent visit compared to the last time I visited when they first opened is huge. Of course there are some things for improvements. From my recent visit, we ordered the spring rolls sampler, extra large special pho and a special rice plate. Spring rolls sampler (grilled beef, grilled pork meat balls, shrimp) : This is something they should improve on, it's not consistent. It's a hit or miss, unfortunately on my recent visit, it was a miss. The rolls were falling apart as I picked it up. The sizes between my visits are not consistence, this time the rolls were on the smaller size. Also, the grilled pork in one of the rolls was served to me cold while it supposed to be hot. It was such a dissappointment as it is one of my favorite type of springroll. Extra large special Pho: my husband said it met his expectations and they also did not cheap out on the meats at all. The flavors are there but personally I think they could improve on the flavors a little bit more as for me it's still a little bland. Special rice plate: This is the STAR of the show!!! I think they have the best Vietnamese rice plate in all of MA! I would come back here again and again and again just for this dish. The rice they served was broken rice which is the correct type of rice for this dish. The pork chop was cooked to perfection, it was so flavorful and moist. The shredded pork skin, meat loaf, and crispy shrimp tofu were also very tasty and fresh. It also came with not one but two fried eggs! Service was fast and friendly.

Honestly, this place is one of my favorite to get Pho from around this area. So easy to walk in, sit down and enjoy their delicious food. Service is always very friendly and ready to assist. Casual dining.

I wanted to love this place. The fried rolls were fine. Tasty. But when the pho came. I was quite disappointed on how little flavor there was. Almost like it got diluted too many times. I was so sad. No depth. Maybe I came on a bad day? Who knows. But all I got to say is that the soup had no deep flavor.

Great Vietnamese option in Malden, better than most of the other options in town. I ordered the goi cuon nem nuong and a small pho tai, bo vien. The goi cuon nem nuong was good, however they gave a large unnecessary amount of sauce. I've never seen that much given for one order with two rolls. The pho itself was good. Good amount of meat given. Service could be a lot better. The table of 4 all ordered pho but we were never given our garnish dish (bean sprouts, lime, basil, etc). It's usually given before or when the pho comes out. We had to ask our waiter for it and it came 10 minutes after the pho dishes came. The restaurant is in a plaza, so there is a parking lot.

I came here pretty often when I lived in the area and it's a solid place for pho. I always get the avocado smoothie which is super creamy and not too sweet. Their strawberry smoothie is decent but taste a bit too artificial for me. Their pho is pretty good. It comes with a lot of protein and the broth is usually flavorful. I also get the com dac biet which comes with a variety of toppings in the dish. The pork chop is usually very flavorful and perfect with rice but the other toppings are also delicious.

A great addition to Malden, Pho Hoa is here serving up great beef noodle soups! Each regular beef noodle soup is packed with lots of beef and noodles - definitely worth it. For apps, I tried the shrimp spring roll, grilled pork meatball spring roll, and the crispy egg roll which were all tasty. I would steer clear of the seafood noodle soup. I was very disappointed in the lack of seafood in my bowl - it was mainly veggies and very little seafood. I have yet to try their rice dishes but the photos look amazing so can't wait to go back and give it a try!

Giving this place 5 stars because not only was the service fast and friendly but also everything I tried was amazing. The shrimp pho was really good and very filling and appetizers #20 & #21 were my favorite part of the meal.

What a lovely place! A beautiful bar and fantastic holiday decor. We had the vegetarian Pho and it was very good! Would like a smidge more star anise. Fried appetizer was delish. No ban xeo on the menu.

Looking for Vietnamese food in Malden and found it. Ordered online for takeout. Online menu was straight-forward and there are some pictures. Plenty of parking at the area. Friend got the #46 pho with different cuts of meats and enjoyed it. I had the #90 House special Vermicelli Plate. I love Vietnamese food for the reason that it comes with good tasty protein with variety of plant-based topping and the simple sauce over. Keeps everything flavorful and yet feels somewhat clean and healthy. The spring rolls we got were decent. Almost too simple and basic and wished that the restaurant made it more unique to it. Wrap was a bit chewy. The peanut sauce was good... the right amount of flavor and creamy. Overall, this is a good spot for Vietnamese food in the general area. I would come back for more.

Vietnamese cuisine is traditionally rooted in affordability, sharing an abundance of food, and enjoying good laughs with great company. By trying to force the concept into a high-end parallel, it just ends up feeling mediocre and hollow. The value simply isn't there--a single appetizer, one main entree, and three refreshments came out to a whopping $105. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly judgmental. Because our party of three only ordered that amount, the staff pretty much ignored us for the rest of the night after taking the order. The awkwardness started the absolute second we sat down. Before we could even settle into our chairs or get handed a menu, the waiter demanded to know what we wanted to drink. When we asked to see a menu first, he looked completely confused as to why we'd need one. After another staff member finally took our order, we sat there waiting for what felt like an eternity. When the food eventually arrived, they gave us sharing plates and chopsticks. We asked for a spoon to properly eat the claypot rice, and the waiter gave us another judging look. As Asians, we obviously know how to use chopsticks, but you objectively need a spoon to scoop the claypot SAUCE out of the pot! While the food itself is decent, the cramped atmosphere, poor hospitality, and inflated price tag mean I won't be rushing back. I might grab take out for the dumpling platter and cat fish rice pot but definitely not sitting in again.

It was very good! This is a must! Sadly, they didn't have the betel leaves beef/pork skewer. I will have to come back another time. For entree, I ordered pho while my husband ordered the bun cha Ha Noi, and my kids shared the rice plate with pork chop and fried egg. My pho broth was very clear, and very light in flavor. It was very reminiscent of how my mother would make her pho, very subtle flavors and with wide pho rice noodles. Long's pho I would say is more akin to Northern Vietnamese pho so if you're looking for more salty and fragrant pho, this might not be for you. I love additional pickled vinegar garlic slices that are available at each table as well. I have never seen this at any Vietnamese restaurant in MA. The bun cha Ha Noi, the was good, but I would try something other next time. The rice plate we ordered had pork chops, fried eggs, and what was supposed to be pork skin, however, the pork skin was not up to standard so the owner replaced it with grilled chicken for us. Pork chops were a little over cooked. They are still very new. I think playing some music will help with the kitchen banter. Service was friendly and fast. Food came out at a very good pace.
