Stir fry chicken

This has been one of my favorite Cambodian restaurants in the area for years. Busy or slow, the workers always greet me with a smile. My favorites are the meekathang (chow foon), crispy yellow noodles, and spicy ground beef dishes. Years ago, they all used taste out of the world with the original chef but has since retained most of their essence. Highly recommend especially to support the local mom and pap shops!

Pad Thai with pork.

I think my foodie expience here was okay, just not quite what I had hoped. The restaurant is very small and due to covid, you are not allowed in; all orders are placed at the shielded entrance and picked up there when ready. The papaya salad for was a little over dressed, the Prahok, fermented fish sauce, was quite strong for my taste and didn't seemed to acheive a harmonious balance with the other ingredients. Mind you, there are distinct flavor difference between Cambodian, Vietnamese, Lao and Thai papaya salads. This one just didn't hit all my personal flavor notes. On the other hand, the Pork Pad Thai was very good with a generous amount of pork and balanced flavors. Over all it was a good experience and I am sure there are other dishes prepared there that are equally as good as their Pad Thai.

I'd only had Cambodian cuisine a few times--first, a more banquet style version in Boston, and second, at a Cambodian/Taiwanese restaurant in D.C. I absolutely hated my stir-fry at the Boston restaurant, but really enjoyed the kuy teav in D.C. Thmor Da came highly recommended from a friend, and I knew I had to try it, since I love southeast Asian cuisines and since I didn't have much experience with Cambodian food. Thmor Da is tiny, with only about eight tables. The server is absolutely wonderful, but she is so busy, that you will have a wait. I sat myself since I was standing for a while and didn't see her, and that seems to be acceptable. Another reviewer mentioned having the menu items listed in both Khmer and English (currently, it's only English), as well as in both alphabets, and I do think that would be super helpful. I wanted everything on the menu, but finally decided on the spring rolls (which would be considered summer rolls by many, including myself), dry yellow noodles with chicken (dry kuy teav), and Tiger Tears. The spring rolls were just OK--I really thought I was getting the fried pork and taro ones. I probably wouldn't order them again, as they were a little bland. I loved my dry yellow noodles with chicken, which is a flavorful chicken, noodle, and aromatics combination with broth on the side. The dish was so well-seasoned that I didn't use a ton of broth, though I did add chile sauce. Tiger Tears is a cold pepper, onion, herb, and steak dish that is delicious and extremely flavorful. It looks spicy, but it actually isn't--not sure if you have to specify that, but I will next time. While there's another Cambodian restaurant on the North Shore, Thmor Da seems to be the more popular option, and it'll definitely be my option when I come home.

my husband had the Phnom Phen noodle soup with an egg soda, i had beef loc lac with fried rice and also egg rolls everything was deliciouse

It's about to go down! This is honestly my favorite mom & pop restaurant. It's a true hidden gem in Revere. I've had other Cambodian places around in Lowell, Lynn etc and this place still out beats them all. Usually there's only one waiter/waitress because of how small the place is but they do a kickass up job of multi-tasking. They're always so nice and sweet. Dishes are about $7-$13 and under depending on size and portion you get but nothing should cost you more than that. Your total bill here would be the cheapest thing you ever eaten but feel like you went for a 5 course fine dining dinner! My top picks and go-to are: 1. Special chow fun with seafood and beef (meekathung) 2. Curry pickled fish with coconut milk 3. Bo luc lac 4. Dry noodle seafood and beef (new fave)

We are well-versed in Thai food as well as Vietnamese cuisine but I haven't really tried Cambodian before. We truly enjoyed the papaya salad it was different from Thai style papaya salad or Vietnamese style papaya salad. The beef noodle soup was great as was the pineapple coconut curry soup with white rice. We can't wait to return. It's a small restaurant that is clearly family operated. Looks like a great local establishment and A great place to visit. This is an addendum to our prior review. Now we are truly in love. Every time we drive by revere we have to stop and have lunch. As many of the other reviewer's recommended you have to try the Tiger Tears. It's basically a cold beef salad but it's out of this world. The owners are super friendly.

Pricey for nasty. $6 spring roll, not so bad of a price if it's good quality. Unfortunately, not the case here. First time experiencing frozen shrimp in spring roll. Presentation was not ok.

One of our go to spots. Get me ka thung and special seafood noodle soup. I've gotten random other times off the menu and it never disappoints. I get the beef sour soup and even thought I've had better ones out there... it's still decent that I continue to always get it. When we have visitors we always do take out here and they love it!!!

Sadly there is not a large number of Cambodian restaurants in the Boston area since most of the Massachusetts population lives in the Lowell area, but luckily in Revere there is this small mom and pop restaurant along with a few grocery stores in the area. I have more than a few Cambodian friends and have been lucky enough to experience Khmer food at it's finest, from local restaurants all over Lowell to people's mother's kitchens, and plenty plenty plenty of cookout food. My friend wanted to try Khmer food for the first time and since I didn't feel like driving all the way to Lowell, this spot popped up when I searched for Cambodian food in the Boston area. When we dropped by, the restaurant has a real small, diner type feel. The menu is pretty big but the one thing that threw me off is that they use Westernized names on the menu for the most part instead of Khmer names (Cambodian style chow fun instead of mee kathung). This is confusing for me because I only know some of the dishes by their Khmer names but when I talked to the waitress and gave her the Khmer names, she obviously knew what I was talking about and was able to help me out. We got: Special Mee Kathung (Cambodian Style Chow Fun) - Stir fried flat rice noodles with beef, shrimp, squid, and chinese broccoli in a thick gravy. The noodles and beef have a little bit of char on them from being cooked at a high temperature which is the sign of a good stir fried rice noodle. The thick gravy and seafood really make the dish. Comfort food at it's finest. Chicken Cha Kreoung (Lemongrass stir-fry Chicken) - I didn't see this on the menu but when I asked the waitress she said they had it. Chicken, onions, and bell-peppers with a tangy lemongrass curry sauce. Bok Lahong (Green papaya salad) - Pungent, spicy, and sour; this is the total package. It totally blows the Western style papaya salads that you might get at your local Thai restaurant out of the water. It comes with dry shrimp, and if you like spicy food make sure to ask for it spicy, they will not hold back. This is a small gem of delicious Cambodian food in a beautiful neighborhood right by Revere Beach. Dine in, or take out and go eat by the beach. A great experience regardless.

Fast and cheap, but not good…read more I wish I liked this food truck better, because it is the closest one I have to work. It has a few things going for it. It is one of the only places in Kendall where you can get lunch for less than $10. Also, despite sometimes having a line, food comes out quick. Too quick, perhaps. Nothing is made fresh, which results in soggy sandwiches and reheated meat. It's food, but it's not good. If you have some standards for what you eat, I don't recommend it. If you just want cheap sustenance, then go for it.

I really do not understand how you can not give this truck five stars! Let's review the basics…read more Good Food. Under $5. Good quantatity of food. Freshly made every day. Delicious. Easy website. Facebook page. Friendly people. They donate! Did I mention Delicious? When I say good food, I mean it. I love the taste of this truck. This is an amazing gooseberry's makeover. Don't get me wrong, Gooseberry's was also tasty, but it was a bit overwhelming and seemed a little shady. Momogoose feels legit! They have done asian bistro quite well. I know that they bought a whole bunch of new equipment to deliver the food as hot as possible to their customers. They also go to the length of changing their menu to suit the season. On top of their base menu, they have soups in the winter, sandwiches in the summer etc. Did I mention they have pho? It's not as good as chinatown's, but it's nice to be able to get decent pho without running across town. Now, what gets me is their charity meal initiative. I quote "Meal for Meal is a pledge to our customers that for every meal sold, Momogoose will donate a meal to charity." (http://momogoose.com/mealformeal). Are you kidding me!? Not only do they give me a meal for less than $5, but they also donate something every time someone buys a meal! Now, that's just ridiculous. I work close by there, so I have conveniently started following their facebook page as well as their website blog (www.momogoose.com). They do a good job of keeping you up to date on any new items they will have available and every so often they will have a deal that may get you a free or discounted lunch. I've e-mailed the founders of Momogoose to thank them for doing such a good job with this food truck. It has been a real pleasure having them in the neighborhood. EDIT: They now have an iPhone app that you can use to order food before you get to the truck!

We ordered quickly after perusing the (rather short) menu, most of which was either small plates and cocktails . Our first plate was the hainan chicken arancini. I really liked the contrast in textures between the crispy exterior and the tender chicken and rice mix on the inside. Overall flavour was not bad, too, but I'm not sure that it was exactly good enough to merit the price point of $18. Next was the Xi'an street noodles, which was probably my favourite dish of the meal. The noodles were very well cooked - chewy but not too soft - and I loved the sauce, with the gentle peanut aroma on top of the various spices they used. One comment was that the chilli crisp, which was tasty, was very lacking (in amount) and as a consequence the dish was really not spicy at all. Finally we had the chilli crisp buffalo chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chicken was boneless (I was expecting something more like chicken wings), which made for very clean eating :) The buffalo sauce was nice (and perhaps a bit spicier than the aforementioned chilli crisp) and the chicken itself was very rich and juicy. Portion size was quite large too and overall I was very happy with this plate. For drinks we ordered the Jaded, which was a fun matcha-themed cocktail (even the marshmallow was matcha-flavoured) and a (spirit-free) cranberry limeade, which was surprisingly refreshing and sweet. Overall a yummy meal, but definitely very expensive. I would be interested to try some more of their cocktails, which seem very creative, but I'm not sure if I would be keen to come again primarily for the food. (To be fair, though, this is often the modus operandi of these restaurants that specialise in small plates and drinks )

Also it was fairly expensive so I expected bigger portions or at least better flavor. Drinks on the other hand were delicious!

The menu leans pan-Asian with a big focus on sushi, small plates, and shareable dishes. There's a lot of variety, so it's easy to order a mix of things for the table. The sushi is fresh and nicely presented, and the specialty rolls feel creative without being overcomplicated. The hot dishes are flavorful and come out well-timed, which makes sharing easy and enjoyable. We tried the Peking duck, which was flavorful and similar to other high-quality versions we've had in the past. The mapo tofu was also good, though not as numbing as we would've liked. Service is generally attentive and professional, and the staff handles larger tables and busy nights well. Overall, Empire is a solid Seaport go-to if you're looking for Asian food, cool ambiance, and a fun night out.

I was running behind with arriving for my reservation, but the hostess over the phone kindly moved it to 7pm! Fast forward I get there first impression the restaurant was beautiful! Then the hostess at first he seemed nice. We had our menus, had time to look over everything ordered drinks and appetizers. Then after a little while he came and we decided to order dinner. Everyone including myself ordered individually. The entrees arrived and for some reason one of my friends didn't get her entree! We were waiting for the hostess for about 10 minutes. Then one of my other friends waved him down and said we are waiting on an entree! My back was facing the open kitchen. However, my friend whose entree didn't arrive yet noticed the hostess spoke to someone to put in the order! Which means he never put it in intially! She then had to wait another 15 minutes and by that pointed she lost her appetite! I felt bad, but my friend said no it's your birthday don't worry. I was because as a birthday one of the best gifts is all your loved ones enjoying the experience! The fact it changed her mood it changed the vibe as well slightly. When he came we asked for to go containers. However, I had a pleasant surprise! My best friend whose entree unfortunately was missed. She made a beautiful chocolate covered strawberry arrangement in the letter A for my name! I got happy birthday sung then blew my candles! Ok now back to the bad service! My friend then tells me after the hostess steps away don't eat any because the owner said there would be a $3 per person fee!! The audacity! Why should there be a charge for ingredients, time and care your restaurant had NOTHING to do with! Afterwards she comes after the hostess and his lack of attention to detail and said " I'll waive the fee." We then get up after paying & went to another area to take pics. The the owner comes by and offered to take our pictures with my phone. I Intially thought it was a nice gesture! Nope! She was playing slick to inquiry about the tip! My friends and myself obviously disgusted they didn't give the minimum suggested tip of 18%! I mean why should we when a guest of mine had to wait over 15 minutes for an entree she ordered with the rest of us! I have never in my life seen an owner offer to take pictures to then ask for a tip increase! Frankly you all should be glad a tip was given! Also the food was just okay. Some of the appetizers were good, but not everyone enjoyed their food! Very disappointed! This was my birthday dinner and the service was not up to the standards you would expect from the Seaport!
