Happy to stumble upon a tiny little pho place in East Boston. It definitely scratches the itch. For five stars they could have had Vietnamese iced tea and more sauces available like chili oil or fish sauce. Pho is good!

Ordered through Uber eats, wouldn't say it totally satisfied my cravings but not terrible either. The spring roll sauce was a bit bland and the meat in the vermicelli bowl was more charred than I would have liked (more charred on the bottom) and the eggroll was ...not great. I will say the bun bo hue (not pictured) was pretty good! All in all, stick with the soups, not so much the vermicelli bowls.

Sunday late night dinner review: This place had a lot of potential it seems but so many things went wrong. Parking was extremely annoying to find, it was very hot inside because the AC seemed to not be running that much, nobody was there to seat us for awhile, we didn't receive chopsticks (cmon, we're asians coming to eat pho), we settled for water for our drinks and got kirkland water bottles that we had to pay $1.50 for LOL, our 12 dollar "small" pho bowls were probably one of the smallest I've even from. Other than that... pho was decent I guess? Wouldn't come back here again tho lol Food: 5/10 Vibes: 3/10 Service: 4/10 Value: 4/10

Vegan pho with tofu and vegetables. $14

Disappointing. Came because of the good reviews and because I craved for a (vegetarian) pho soup. Place is small and cute, but occasionally there's some really bad smell in the restaurant. Waiter didn't give me water (and definitely not green tea lol), and I had to ask for the Basil + sprouts for the soup. I got sprouts only.. Soup was OK with have flavor of artificial soup, a lot of rice noodles, and a little bit of steamed veggies and fried tofu (both were made well). I'm still thirsty...

    Vietnamese Crepe

We ordered take out. Service was quick but here are my issues. Steamed dumplings were cold and rubbery. They were not soft but crunchy on the edges. The spring rolls were without any flavor and were mostly shredded iceberg lettuce. These too were incredibly bland. The Vietnamese crepe was disgusting and not cooked through. Even if it had been cooked properly what a complete ripoff! 2 small pieces of chicken and two shrimp cut in half. Yuk. Bun noodle bowl with grilled pork was decent but nothing extraordinary. "Fresh veggies" were beyond their expiration and brown/wilted. Totally disappointing and dissatisfying experience.

Being cheap with the veggies. My fellow Dorchester people would know the difference!!

Overall: This ain't it, sis. Would not come back. Those who rated the food 5 stars must be Americans (no offense) or must not know what good viet food is. If you are looking to find a good place to try authentic viet food, DO NOT GO HERE. PLEASE GO TO ANY RESTAURANT IN DORCHESTER. That's where all the good AUTHENTIC Vietnamese food is at. You want good Pho? Try Pho Hoa/Pho Le/Pho So 1. Customer service : Waitress was not at all welcoming or inviting. Tried to get her attention twice but she didn't notice us. They also charged us fee for using credit card. Food: we ordered Pho Tai and Bun Rieu. The pho wasn't horrible. The broth tasted a little off. It wasn't good compared to the many Pho I had in my life. The bun rieu was sooooo plain. They didn't even offer shrimp paste (mam rouc). And the vermicelli noodle itself was all broken. Oh also, they are soooo cheap with the veggies. Nothing compared to what other pho places give you.

This place has the best pho. I ate here at least once a week when I lived in East Boston a few years back. I walked here in the rain from maverick station on my last day of vacation in Boston and it was so unbelievably worth it. Very rich in flavor, highly recommend!

I ordered around 3pm in the afternoon, and it was called in record time. The lemongrass pork was juicy and flavorful in the banh mi sandwich and all the ingredients were fresh: very delicious and satisfying without being heavy! The spring roll was a lovely bonus, and the Vietnamese coffee refreshing and a perfect balance of creamy and sweet (but not too much so). Will definitely be back! I'm sure it's mobbed during the lunch hour, so before 12pm or after 2pm is recommended.

I loved that the crispy rolls were vegan but it was very taro (or potato?) heavy and the taro was just slightly undercooked. Pork looked and tasted old with not much flavor and no grilled taste. It was the most disappointing part of the meal. I ended up just tossing the pork out and eating the rest, which was tolerable with the fish sauce. Wish the fish had some fresh herbs - it only came with noodles, iceberg, cucumber, peanuts, and pickled carrots and daikon. Also wished the veggies were all cut the same way for a better cohesion in texture. The lettuce pieces were kinda large and the cucumbers were sliced into discs rather than strips like everything else. Fast service, but would recommend the noodles. I did see lots of other people getting the sandwiches, which is probably what I should have ordered.

I enjoy getting their cold cut banh mi with extra butter and pate! I like that their baguettes are not too thick and are quite flaky. The bread to filling ratio is perfect each bite. Every time I visit, I always get a cold cut banh mi, nem, and sugarcane juice or an iced coffee. Super quick service. It's street parking and in 90+ degrees weather in August, they had no air conditioning. Waiting for my food order made it uncomfortable and very frustrating. Banh mi was mediocre at best and nothing special. Com tom was meh. Beef jerky was super tough, not thin enough to tear and just had a sweet and spicy glaze on it sprinkled with sesame seeds. Vietnamese coffee was strong but not sweet enough. The establishment is packed with foods packed and ready to go. They need to add sell by dates or packed on dates to assure quality control on the prepackaged foods. There's really no prices on anything either. With all of the prepackaged foods and no AC, it scares me a bit that the food would spoil in the heat so I tried to pick things that I knew would be somewhat made to order. I don't recommend this establishment and I wouldn't return as there are plenty of other places with better food.

Vietnamese cuisine is traditionally rooted in affordability, sharing an abundance of food, and enjoying good laughs with great company. By trying to force the concept into a high-end parallel, it just ends up feeling mediocre and hollow. The value simply isn't there--a single appetizer, one main entree, and three refreshments came out to a whopping $105. To make matters worse, the service was incredibly judgmental. Because our party of three only ordered that amount, the staff pretty much ignored us for the rest of the night after taking the order. The awkwardness started the absolute second we sat down. Before we could even settle into our chairs or get handed a menu, the waiter demanded to know what we wanted to drink. When we asked to see a menu first, he looked completely confused as to why we'd need one. After another staff member finally took our order, we sat there waiting for what felt like an eternity. When the food eventually arrived, they gave us sharing plates and chopsticks. We asked for a spoon to properly eat the claypot rice, and the waiter gave us another judging look. As Asians, we obviously know how to use chopsticks, but you objectively need a spoon to scoop the claypot SAUCE out of the pot! While the food itself is decent, the cramped atmosphere, poor hospitality, and inflated price tag mean I won't be rushing back. I might grab take out for the dumpling platter and cat fish rice pot but definitely not sitting in again.
