Service was a little on the slow paced side but we appreciated that they weren't trying to rush us out of the restaurant like a lot of places do these days. We ordered the veggie tempura, a fried rice with tofu, a sushi roll (can't remember which one), and the chicken breast skewer. The chicken breast skewer was a little over done but I guess that's better than underdone! Oh and the side salad was yummy-the greens were fresh and the dressing was sweet and tangy. The veggie tempura and the fried rice were my favorite, both things were very tasty and had just the right amount of oil. I will definitely be ordering both another time. From the outside, Areca looks quite trendy, so I was excited to try it after passing by regularly. However, the lunch bento boxes were a disappointment. There's a lot of white rice but pretty limited amounts of the entrée that goes with it - I ordered the salmon teriyaki and the unagi. The salmon teriyaki was extremely dry and not tasty, though the unagi was pretty tasty and just too little. While the California rolls were fine, the house salads - which end up being about half of the entire bento box in terms of quantity of food! - were soggy and plain. The revamped menu at Le's is awesome, although I miss their Vietnamese rice vermicelli dishes. There is a nod to the Vietnamese in the pho selection but more of the menu real estate is now taken up by Japanese dishes- donburi, yakitori, soba, katsu and of course sushi. The food has gotten even better, in my opinion, with more attention paid to the plating. The dining space is also more elevated than the Le's of old- dark wood furniture, stemmed glass goblets, light jazz music piped in the background. Service is quick and attentive. They're closed between 3pm and 5pm. It's not listed on their *website, their *Google listing, their *Apple listing, or even the *Front Door of the location!!! The only way you find out is by standing at the front door and an employee coming out and telling you. It's an unrealistic expectation to have people call the restaurant to see if they're open in the middle of the day when their main hours that are listed everywhere say that they are. So after you have paid for an Uber to take you all the way there and it's freezing out in the middle of the day, you get there, and they're closed. Zero effort is made to let you know in ALL of the appropriate places online, that they will not be serving you food after you've made a sacrifice and paid money to get to their location and give them your business. As a digital marketer, this is the type of thing that leaves a bad taste in your mouth, especially when the solution is a simple one. I'm out the money I spent on the Uber to get there and now I'm out more money to go somewhere else. We came as a party of 2 on a Sunday evening and was able to get a seat quickly. The place is relatively small maybe able to seat 80 people with a very fancy bar area for maybe an additional 20. We ordered shrimp spring rolls and two bowls of pho, one with beef the other beef balls. The spring roll was fresh and well crafted - it didn't fall apart when dipping in their sweet sauce that was provided and the price was very fair. The pho bowls were also tasty but have very few toppings compared to other pho shops in the area. They just provide the usual raw bean sprouts on the side and some chopped onion and scallion with the meat in the broth. Sushi always hits the spot, and it's safe to say Le's Sushi Bar & Restaurant did not let me down. My gf ordered us 2 rolls each along with a side of Crab Rangoon (always a favorite). The ONLY reason I gave Le's a 4/5 was the long wait to pick up the food and the minimal parking out front. If you live in the area and are in walking distance I highly recommend, we also ordered the food on Valentine's Day so that could have explained the longer wait. The food itself was delectable and we ate it all! To make up for the long wait they gave us a free orange soda which was very thoughtful of the server. I will be going back for more of the sushi as it was fresh and well crafted. I want to emphasize again that the food was great and that means a lot coming from me, a sushi lover and food reviewer. I think this is the new name for Le's Sushi. It was almost empty when we came in, and very very dark. So we were a little skeptical. But the sushi was delicious. They have a huge menu. We had 6 different sushi rolls and some soba noodles. The sushi was very fresh and creatively done. It's American style sushi - so some of the rolls have mango, and some have drizzled sauces. But everything was delicious. Coming from Seattle, we have high standards for sushi. This place is legit. I wish they paid more attention to the other details. Our table was wobbly (a pet peeve of mine) and service was a little slow and not very attentive, despite the fact that there weren't many people there. Came here on a Saturday evening for dinner and we were seated quite quickly. There weren't many others in the restaurant so the place was pretty quiet, but not in an uncomfortable way. There were a few folks eating alone as well, signaling that this place is likely a good place to enjoy a meal by yourself if you'd like pho or sushi! We ordered fast and the food came out pretty efficiently as well. The service was kind and really good with refilling waters! We both got the regular rare beef pho and for its price, it was definitely very tasty and had a nice portion. I'd for sure recommend this place for its delicious pho! I'm usually unsure about Asian places that serve food from different cuisines, but I have to say that Le's sushi was definitely something I would order again. I have eaten at Le's Sushi Bar and Restaurant many times and it is a fantastic spot for lunch or dinner. The location is conveniently located in East Cambridge/Inman Square near the Lechmere green line stop. There is also plenty of street parking along Cambridge Street. There is a lot of indoor seating (as well as some outdoor seating in the summer). I ordered my dinner for pickup. The menu has plenty of sushi, Japanese, and Vietnamese options. I got miso soup, salmon deluxe, tuna deluxe, salmon avocado roll, and the eel cucumber roll (pictured). All sushi was very fresh and the miso portion was large. For sushi, it is priced reasonably as well. Overall, I definitely recommend Le's if you are looking for a convenient location and plenty of sushi/Japanese/Vietnamese options. This review only speaks to the sushi. Below average. Scallops were fine but put into a roll with unripe sliced mango on top which was useless. Hamachi was actually not too good, didn't seem fresh and it had a very weird aftertaste. I want to give 2 stars because the subpar sushi, which is expensive ($8 for a CA roll lol) and because my stomach suspiciously hurts only 5 min after eating there, but I'll leave it at 3 in case they have good Pho. This place has fast become my weekly dinner excursion restaurant! They open a little later than other restaurants (10pm!! thank you!) and the food is solid. In a typical fashion of any restaurant that tries to do more than one type of Asian cuisine under one roof, they definitely fall short on the Japanese menu. Tonkatsu wasn't quite right, fried rice was OK, and the tempura batter they use is not in the traditional manner (it falls just under "deep fried" and that's it). I haven't had a chance try their sushi yet so will update later on that. However, where they do amazing with is their Vietnamese food options. Pho is so good, especially when the weather get's colder! The broth is flavorful and doesn't taste like they had some kind of pre-made thing, it tastes like it is freshly made and I always appreciate the proportion of the noodles to the protein! Highly recommend the grilled chicken pho, their grilled chicken is so delicious! I also love the vermicelli noodle bowls-- basically a brothless pho, with plenty of fresh veggies, noodle, fish sauce, and your choice of protein. The spring rolls I feel like could be more per plate (you only get 2 rolls for about $5) but I am a sucker for spring rolls so I always end up getting it anyways. A nice little side menu that they have are the kushiyaki-- grilled skewers with your choice of meats or veggies! Again, definitely better places for this, but sometimes it is fun to have the option to have a little grilled meat on the side. This was my first time dining in person at Le's after grabbing takeout a few times. In terms of food, everything was amazing and a great value! I ordered the beef stew pho and it was so flavorful. The portions were all huge, including the lunch bento box. Even the drinks were fantastic. My only complaint would be the actual dining experience. My group was the only one there at first, but it still took them a while to bring out the food and even drinks. The background music was a bit odd and fairly loud - it seemed like the same few instrumental songs were on repeat. Overall, it was worth the wait for the food! read more

Don't let their random/wide-ranging menu deter you! I really do like Le's but you just have to know what to order. Their sushi isn't anything crazy but my go-to is their bun cha (vermicelli bowls), a generous portioned mix of noodles, pork, veggies, and a spring roll all to be tossed with fish sauce and crushed peanuts. The seating is primarily large tables (half of them are booths) and I've never had to wait (which could be a plus or minus depending on your perspective). My husband and I were in town for a family event and I had complied a list of restaurants within a mile from our hotel. As we were walking to our chosen restaurant, I pointed out Le's Sushi Bar and Restaurant as another establishment on my Yelp's Cambridge collection list. The other restaurant was still several blocks away and we were famished. Needless to say, we adjusted our lunch plans for that day! Reservations were not necessary for lunch. Fair warning -Their menu selection is so immense and varied that you might accidentally overlook a section or two if you don't preview in advance. This is an Asian fusion restaurant with Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Vietnamese dishes. During lunch, there were a variety of bento box selections in addition to a la carte. My husband had the teriyaki beef bento box that included Gyoza dumplings, a California roll, steamed rice and a salad. I ordered the teriyaki salmon bento box. Cold tofu was our appetizer and the house sake - one hot and one cold carafe were our beverages of choice. Everything was so delicious though the salmon portion was a bit small compared to the beef teriyaki but the accompanying items were more than enough to be fully satiated. The service was efficient, personable but nonintrusive. The ambiance was modern, clean with added touches like potpourri in the restrooms that made me think they care about the details. I feel like I could write two separate reviews for this place. There are things that they do well and there are things that could be improved. Their sushi was amazing! If you like fresh, delicious, large portioned, beautifully arrange sushi, you must try their Chirashi. Even though the pronunciation of the name may resemble "trashy," the actual dish does not. It has a bed of well seasoned sushi rice, topped with amazing slices of sashimi. However, I have not had much luck with their cooked foods. With a name like Le's, I was hoping for some good Vietnamese staple, pho. I ordered pho on my second time here and I was disappointed. The noodles were cooked for too long and had lost their texture and the broth lacked flavor. Even with extra sambal chili sauce and hoisin sauce, it was missing the deeply meaty flavor of a good bowl of pho. Their nabeyaki udon was also disappointing, which may mean that noodles just are not their forte. Moving onto non-food related aspects of the restaurant. From the 3 times that I have been here, it seems that the quality of the service just seems to depend on the server and the day. It's never been horrible, but not everyone is as attentive. The restaurant is well lit and is located at a good area, where sushi restaurant is not easily found. So, if you are craving good sushi or desperate for pho, this is the place for you. read more

Incredibly vast menu to choose from. The sushi rolls are amazing, Gyoza is great too. I would avoid the edamane on the hot appetizers - nothing special there. Service is impeccable and really fast.
