6. Maki Lunch Combo with 3 Rolls salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura
Zan D.

Have been twice now and tried the salmon don and the makimono lunch with salmon avocado, spicy tuna, and shrimp tempura rolls. The portions are generous and everything has been fresh and well made. It's a great spot for a reasonable sushi takeout.

Gyoza
Linda U.

This was my first time trying out their food. I did pick up. The woman greeted me warmly and had a table set up. The packaging was great! They put a bag of ice on the sushi container to keep it cold, they wrap the miso soup container in a plastic bag to keep spillage minimum. The pork gyoza was delicious and warm. I had the lunch sushi/sashimi combo. The spicy tuna roll had really tiny pieces of tuna, but other than that sashimi was very good. Everything is fresh. I would recommend trying this place out.

I ordered sushi (delivery). The portions are slightly smaller than what you will find in other places but here it is a question of quality not quantity. The sushis were fresh and delicious! They also added a small bag of ice to keep the food fresh during the delivery. Great place for sushis!

Organic Edamame

So good and fresh. I got the rainbow roll, edamame, eel and cucumber roll, and salmon sashimi. The portions were all great, it was really reasonably priced, and the fish was really fresh and delicious. I also appreciated the organic rice. The best part was the cute soy sauce trays and low-sodium soy sauce. The edamame was perfectly steamed and salted. Not too soft.

No name Roll, Walden Roll

I got this place because it had 5 stars on grub hub. I ordered the no name roll and the Walden roll for delivery and the sushi was very fresh! They don't skimp on the fish but also the combination of other components in the sushi were really delicious, they have a wide variety of rolls on the menu too. I called to check on my order and the man who picked up was very nice. Would order again.

I am shocked at the other reviews. I just ordered from here for the first time- and I am so sad to say I will never order again. I bought 3 rolls, spicy salmon, Philly and the crazy roll... the fish smells and tastes off. After eating half the meal, I feel sick to my stomach. A waste of 35 +dollars. Maybe it's just their salmon and everything else is good ‍ I don't want to write them off completely, but I am bummed it was so gross.

Fried rice was gross and rice was wet. Sushi was gross and the rice was wet. Only thing that was good was the miso soup. Disappointed.

The love boat ($69) for 2 was EXCELLENT. We both left dinner completely stuffed to the brim, and I…read morewas thrilled with both the value and the quality of the meal. It comes with 2 bowls of miso soup, which were perfect on a cold winter night. The boat also includes a martini glass with seaweed salad, providing a refreshing, upscale palate cleanser when you need a moment's break from the fish. I was very impressed with the thick cuts for the sashimi, and the toppings on the nigiri also gave a tiny twist to the meal - while yuzu and jalapaeño are common pairings with raw fish, for example, the strawberry-on-salmon was a novel combo for me! The rolls also add appeal for any eating partners who enjoy their fish in another form. There isn't a lot of natural light/windows in the main seating area, so the lighting is dim and gives off an intimate ambiance that's perfect for a date night - no complaints about the service!

Fuki is a modern Japanese and sushi restaurant located near the popular Bow Market. The food,…read moreservice, and ambiance here are excellent! It's the perfect spot for a date night or grabbing drinks and dinner with friends. For appetizers, I highly recommend getting the 3 sampler of tuna, salmon, and yellowtail dumpling to try them all. While called dumpling, it's more like a delicious fish rice ball with special sauce. The house special udon with shrimp, scallop, and fish cake was also really good. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken hibachi! It's good for being hungry because it comes with soup, veggies, rice, and some shrimp. It comes with yum yum sauce which goes well with everything and a sauce for the vegetables. The service was good, we did ask our questions about appetizers and she gave good recommendations. We didn't wait too long for the food. The ambiance here is great! They have Japanese decor on all the walls including paintings of cherry blossom, koi fish, Mt. Fuji, and even flowers on the roof. Overall, the food here is really good and this is a staple restaurant that I'll keep coming back to!

The best sushi I've had in Boston. Hands down. I am not exaggerating, my partner and I dream about…read morethis sushi all the time, and we've unfortunately started comparing our other sushi experiences to this one. Soba is also really good. Everything here is really good, but I highly recommend the nigiri - while it's a little pricy (standard pricing comparative to other restaurants), it is well worth it Service is quite fast and we felt like we were taken care of. One time, the server took the soy sauce bottle away from one table without warning and gave it to us, and then proceeded to do the same to us. However, in this rare case, the food quality and taste overpowered the service issues. Inside is lively, and cozy. They also have outdoor patio seating in the summer, which is lovely as well. This is a restaurant I wouldn't mind coming to over and over again.

stopped in for a cool meal on a hot and sticky saturday. ordered an agedashi tofu, veggie tempura,…read moresushi soba and uni soba agedashi was good, kinda like fried tofu in hot and sour soup. tempura was cooked just right, came out popping hot, crispy, and the veggies inside cooked proper. the sashimi on the soba wasn't exactly the freshest, no concern whatsoever, but was not the freshest. uni soba was good. the uni was a little on the bitter side but the server did warn about that. the soba noodles were a little dried, not sure how the restaurant managed this for a soba place but it's just embarrassing.

Cafe Sushi has gotten a bit fancier since its post-COVID reopening. The dining room is nicer, the…read moreservice is more polished, but the inexpensive yet perfect sushi is gone. The sake collection is excellent, and reason enough to go. The sushi is still very good but the nigiri is garnished with toppings like umami cherry and mint or house preserved yuzu. This is done beautifully but it causes the fish to be deemphasized. Little details like uneven cutting of a maki roll didn't impact the taste but lessen the beauty and the art that is sushi. For non-sushi the cabbage and the five-spice chicken were both amazing. The tomato zuke, a house cured hothouse tomato nigiri was very cool but make sure to use a little soy sauce. Final judgment - the space, the service, and the sake are all great. The sushi is very good but not as good as I remember and of course it's more expensive than it used to be.

Grabbed a table here for dinner one night and had a lovely experience. This place does get crowded…read moreso I would recommend reservations. Luckily the restaurant is split for a dine in and takeout area making it easier to wait for a table if needed. We ordered several items from the menu and found all had an air of freshness to them. I especially like the chicken karaage which came with a spicy mayo sauce. The chicken was fried well giving it nice crisp without feeling heavy on the oil. The dipping sauce was also a nice added touch complementing the flavors of the chicken. For rolls I ordered the tomato zuke, seared avocado, shiitake, and tuna taku. Interestingly, the tomato was my favorite. What an innovative way to use tomato that felt flavorful and mimicked the texture of a tuna based roll. I also liked how the avocado was seared with some sea salt - it gave it a nice balance of roasted and salty with just a little rice. For the shiitake, I enjoyed how the mushrooms were prepared the most and would have likely been more ok to eat those on their own rather than in a sushi roll. While I was the most excited about the tuna take, it felt a little more basic to me after having the more innovative vegetarian sushi first. The combo of crunchy and soft from the roll was a bit confusing. The takuan felt more minced and so you'd have a soft bite of the tuna mixed with more crunchy bits of the takuan, but since it didnt seem balanced it felt off from a texture perspective. However, this is also a personal preference and the ingredients individually were all super fresh. Our server was also super friendly and very on top of our ask to let us know which items had shellfish. She consistently checked in with us and on the kitchen to ensure there weren't any issues with my food allergy. I very much enjoyed coming here and would definitely come again. While it was busy, the food still came out quickly and it was still quiet enough that you could have a conversation with your table. In general this place makes a great date spot or place to come with friends.
