My friend had been here several times before and told me that she's really enjoyed Sakana's specialty rolls, especially the ones with truffle oil. I'm not the biggest fan of truffle oil, but I also thought all of their specialty rolls looked really enticing. It was a bit of a bummer that the ones that I wanted to try the most couldn't be made into a gluten-free version... I ended up going with a roll that had tuna on the inside and scallop on the outside, as well as an extra Philadelphia roll. The specialty rolls are about ~$18 or so and the more regular rolls (that come with 6 pieces instead of 8) are about $8. As other people have noted before, the portion sizes were a bit smaller than I expected, especially for the specialty rolls. However, other than that, we had a wonderful dining experience. Our food was brought out super quickly and they continuously checked on us throughout the evening. On the table they also have additional salt, soy sauce and a spicy powder if you wanted to add extra.
