I decided to stop by for lunch while I was in the area upon the recommendation of friends who grew up in the area. I was definitely not disappointed! The inside of the shop is clean and the staff was friendly and helpful when we were deciding on our orders. The shop is small with only a handful of tables and booths, but thankfully we were able to snag one without having to wait. I decided to get the S6 banh mi and a Thai tea. You have the option to order each of the banh mi spicy (adds peppers) or not spicy - I opted for the spicy version. The banh mi was PHENOMENAL - definitely up there with the best I've had in MA. The bread was the perfect texture with a crunch but not too hard and the filling was exactly as I would want my banh mi to taste. The banh mi. Please try one. I always get the roast pork and then another 2 lbs on the side. It's addictive. The pork is so crunchy and soft, a party in your mouth if you will. The banh mi is just absolutely delicious and it comes with a smear of delicious pate. I also had the head cheese one which was delicious and another sliced meat one. Everything here is delicious. This place by far is my work staple. Every Friday for as long as I remember this was the to go place. The staff are super friendly and always accommodating! The food is to die for, local Cambodian dishes with roasted meats and veggies. Coffee is always a plus as well. They recently did some renovation but there isn't much seating. read more

First time ordering from here with a couple of friends. We ordered the S2, S3, and S6. We were all ecstatic with the freshness of the pickled carrots and radish. We even ordered a side portion which cost three dollars. The protein served inside the sandwiches were all fresh, crispy, and flavorful. The bread was flaky and soft as a traditional banh mi sandwich is. The cashier was very nice. The person taking the order was super nice! So far I've tried the Banh Mi sandwiches, roasted duck and crispy pork and all of it was delicious! It's like Cambodian, Vietnamese, light Chinese fusion. Wow! I don't know what flavor they use for duck and chicken dinner but it's definitely finger licking good right to the bones. The flavors are savory and delicious!! Although, their chicken and duck meat have lots of bones so be careful. Their sandwiches are VERY tasty and less than $10. The young staff is friendly and always makes you feel welcome. I wasn't expecting much when I stumbled upon this small Southeast Asian restaurant for lunch, but I can honestly say I was thrilled once I tasted the chicken satay banh mi sandwich I ordered. Truly blown away by how much I enjoyed the sauce. The veggies and chicken were complimented perfectly in a spicy, savory snack on a fresh flaky baguette. I've ordered at cafe Bayon a whole Duck for duck soup for dinner. I've found multiple pieces, not only one piece but it's unfortunately I won't be coming to this place again. Once I start put in my mouth, sour taste began that I have to spit it out. It's two different colors meaning that it's spoiled. If it's looks one exact color then it's not spoiled. It's a crystal clear picture that's it's spoiled. If I were an owner I wouldn't be serving any Customer's with a spoiled food and wasting their money. How can people do such a thing? I used have to go to Lowell to get good Vietnamese style sandwiches and Chinatown in Boston for duck. NOT ANYMORE! I can't believe how happy I am at finding this place so close to home and am delighted at how great the food is. Their sandwiches are amazing. I personally Love the Satay sandwich. It's 5.50 but damn is it filling. They pack it with meat and veggies and that delicious sauce. It's divine. I used to always stop by the sandwich stores in Lowell when I visit, now I don't even bother. This is now my go to place for sandwiches. Their duck, bbq and roasted pork and especially their lemongrass chicken are all delicious. I wish they would do marinated chicken (chinese style) but who knows, maybe they will in the future. The prices are great and the people there are so nice. I find myself getting their desserts a lot too. I love the coconut jelly, it's so good. Parking can be an issue at times but for the most part, I can find one. They also have chow foon which is another staple in my diet but I haven't had the pleasure in having theirs. I have a chow foon place i go to that is much closer and already great so maybe one day I'll have the one here just to compare. Overall this place is great. I love it. Nice staff, great food and prices and I always support local cambodian restaurants whenever I can. I hope they do well and stay open forever! read more

I'm not much of a carb enthusiast these days, but when I get a Banh Mi craving, they have satisfied me here. I'm pleased with their menu as it offers good variety - sandwich wise. You can get a beef and chicken combo! Pretty sure they can create a combo of your choice if you kindly ask. Prices are fair. On the other hand, has anyone noticed that banh mi prices are slowly increasing everywhere? No more $3-$4 sammies! Darn!! On their roasted items..... I do not recommend their chicken. They have not perfected this dish. I'm still optimistic though.. Maybe one day, it will moist instead of dry and the odd soy / scallion flavors will suddenly do it justice... My mother-in-law did mention that she enjoyed the pork dishes and the duck especially. I sadly have yet to sample the duck given the small quantity they carry which runs out quickly. I have been eating here since they opened and I am a big fan. I love the chicken rice plate the most, but will get the duck plate when I'm especially hungry. I was excited to hear that another Cambodian restaurant opened up in Lynn. I went over to the cafe around noon time. They offer roasted duck and pork which is a plus. I tried their rice plate that came with roasted duck and pork and their BBQ pork sandwich. Both were very good compared to other Cambodian restaurants in Lynn. Also the lady that was taking orders was very accommodating to our needs. I will definitely go to them again to fulfill my cravings for duck and banh mi.
