Pho Minh Ky - Pho 32. Tai, Nam, Gan, Sach - Vietnamese Near Me - Lynn, Massachusetts

On August 20, 2026, I had a truly disappointing dining experience at Ming Ky. Despite having visited the restaurant a few times before, this time around, I was shocked by the minuscule portion size compared to my previous visits. While I understand the economic downturn and the challenges faced by restaurants in cutting costs and raising prices, this is not the sole reason for my low rating. I had ordered the Beef Loc Lac ($25.95) and requested a side of limes to make the pepper lime dipping sauce. When I received the meal, I was already confused and shocked by the small portion. However, this incident alone wouldn't have prompted me to write a review. As the wait staff brought out the limes, the older lady who works the front desk (possibly the owner) rushed over and lectured the staff, insisting that they could only provide two slices and that any additional slices would incur an extra charge. She reprimanded the staff in front of me, leaving them confused and embarrassed. Despite the fact that the extra two slices were already placed on the table, the older lady proceeded to ask me if I still wanted them for the extra cost. I told her I'll just take the 2 free slices and pointed out the fact that there was barely any beef in the entree if she was going to charge me for the extra slice limes. She responded affirmatively, going on about the expensive sirloin steak, hence why there barely any meat on the plate. The photo clearly shows that there were only about eight to ten small cubes of beef. This incident is a stark contrast to the kind of customer experience that a restaurant should strive for. It's unacceptable for a business to reprimand its employees in front of customers. The older lady's behavior was unfriendly and showed a complete disregard for her customers' experiences. Given this experience, I will not returning to this establishment. read more

I'm going to straight up say it, this restaurant pissed me off. I went with my friend and first thing we noticed was the water tasted like bad tap water, almost like the way toilet water smells, I was absolutely BAMBOOZLED by this disgusting water! My friend ordered a lemonade and she said, quote on quote, "it tasted gritty, it burned my throat, wasn't sweet at all." now, I don't have much to comment on this, it sounded horrible. Another bad experience was that the waiter had an attitude, my friend said the beef broth tasted like a bad taco, my soup was perfectly fine but my friend had trouble even finishing it. The worst thing was at the end when we got our check. This was absolutely despicable. Our order was only 45 dollars in total, now I understand taxes but it was only 3 dollars more with tax, but this restaurant added a huge tip for themselves, mind you we only got small size soups. It ended up costing 60 dollars! I am appalled! The service wasn't even that good, and the waiter wasn't even friendly, plus we were gonna leave a tip on our own, but then they decided to not even give us change and added their own tip. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the Pho was great. Super clean inside and the service was fast and efficient. I wasn't a fan of the spring rolls prior to the pho but overall that wasn't what I was there for. This place is great for a quick lunch spot or hitting for dinner.. I saw they do to-go too which I may try next time. read more

My Fiance and I decided to try this spot, the food was absolutely amazing! The owner and servers are so sweet, they kept checking in and asking if we needed anything. The restaurant was slightly crowded but nothing crazy for New Years Eve. We got Spring Rolls and they tasted like the ones I make at home, super authentic!! We also got two bowls of Pho, the broth is sooo good by itself. It was the best bowl of Pho we had in a while!!! Definitely coming back. read more

This place was great. Reason was, all the condiments that I needed was there. It's just if I wanted more, I'll just ask. The soft shell crab was absolutely perfect. Not too salty, not bland, just right amount of taste and flavor. The pho was GREAT. I like traveling to try the best pho in the town I travel to and this was probably close to up there. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants good pho. read more

This food here is delicious and seriously a hole-in-the-wall for Lynn! Within the Central Square area, it's certainly the best place to go fro Vietnamese food. The restaurant is not fancy and very modest inside. However, it is very spacious with ample seating. Service is also very quick, which is something I appreciate! I've been here twice, and can vouch for how diverse and varied their menu is. If you can order one thing, get the kho to (caramelized pork with rice! It was sooo good. read more

Pho Minh Ky offers some very tasty eats. The food is always fresh and delivery fast. I've had the goi cuon, pho tai, and pho ga. I enjoyed everything. Some places can only do good beef pho or good chicken pho, not both, but this place gets both right. I like that they have three sizes of pho. Hoping to try the cha gio soon. I look forward to returning when I'm home. read more

Delicious, affordable, and quick - the trifecta! I stopped in here for an early dinner and we were served immediately. I was glad they had paper menus in addition to their phone menu (they warned us the pricing was out of date on the paper but that was fine, I just prefer it to my phone for understanding the options). We got fresh rolls (Goi Cua Chay), and I got a vermicelli dish (Bun Heo Bo Hoat Ga with beef) while my friend got a beef soup entree. His was very spicy which he was delighted by, while mine had great flavor without it being spicy - just how I like it. The whole meal came to $32, which I think is very reasonable for 2 people. I even had leftovers! I would definitely come back here, and order more of the beef plus other parts of the menu. read more

We've been going here for years and it's always been consistently great, but somehow the food has been getting better and better. I've been twice in the last couple of weeks, and the broth for the pho has been absolutely delicious. Each visit we try various dishes depending on our mood, and all have been excellent. Portions are generous and ingredients are super fresh. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Worth a drive if you live outside of Lynn. read more

I grew up near Little Saigon in Southern California so I'd like to think I know what good pho tastes like. Pho Minh Ky did not pale in comparison! I ordered Kaw (pork) and Kaw (fish) to eat with steamed white rice. If you're looking for comfort food that's authentic and rich and sweet, and full of spice (black pepper) that won't have you reaching for H2O, you'll enjoy this dish. Theres the dish with the fish. And the dish with the pork. And you know what?!!?!? I picked both. It's a must have with steamed white rice. It'll balance out the RICH flavor thats in the Kaw. I also had an order of Spring Rolls. The order of Spring Rolls came with shrimp, pork and veggies inside of it - with silk creamy peanut sauce on the side. Some don't mind it but we didn't favor the way the pork was dry and textured. I've also had their Pho. The Pho is Z Bomb. Ita good for my soul on some days. And It's the only place I can find in Lynn right now that serves the best beef noodle soup aka Pho - all the other good Southeast Asian restaurants in Lynn are closed down. Overall food is cooked and made fresh every time I've gone in. Service: There are some days where they're service is really attentive and on others, not the bestest. But always friendly. And Price per Portion size, always a plus. Overall beats driving into Boston. A Curb side parking space isn't too hard to find nearby. There's also space in a lot behind the building next door. Overall I give it Four Stars. read more

A little hole in the wall gem. Clean, attentive and friendly service, and the meals were positively delicious. We tried Bun Thit Nuong, Cha Gio....which was fresh and a terrific mix of flavors. The noodles were like room temp, served like a salad. I cannot recommend it enough. Also tried Pho Xao / Pad Thai and there wasn't one speck left on the plate when we were done. Had a seltzer type lime-ade that was super sweet, but a total treat. This isn't a see and be seen place; little ambiance. This is a fantastic food place and that's why we'll be back. read more

Highly recommend the Soft shell crab. It was quite tasty and I wished I ordered a bowl of rice on the side to devour it. Seafood crispy noodles was a tad salty but I did mention to the owner. She went back and spoke to the chef so I appreciated that. Go out and support small local businesses! If there is any issues, talk to the owner first. Don't be an ass and write bad review like the world revolves around you. You can only write bad review if the owner doesn't address the problem. read more

The Pho here is on par with some of the best available in Boston. I honestly do not eat Pho at any other city other than Dorchester. My experience with other pho restaurants outside of Dorchester were similarly poor. Pho Minh Ky was the only exception to this ad if today's date. It remind me a lot like the pho I can get at Pho Le, which is arguably the best Pho restaurant in Dorchester in my opinion. Pho Minh Ky, however, is a lot closer to home so I am extremely pleased to stumble upon them while taking care of business nearby. I had the pho dac biet, everything in it. Also ordered a Vietnamese ice coffee to go. The coffee was strong, thick and sweetened by the condensed milk and served cold with ice. It was just perfect and how Vietnamese ice coffee should taste!!! I also ordered bun bo hue to go for my husband but unfortunately it was not authentic. My husband said it tasted like they used the pho broth to make it which is a no no. I was greeted in English but when she realized I was Vietnamese my waitress conversed with me in Vietnamese thereafter. Service was efficient and polite. There is plenty of Street parking, 2 hours parking! I would definitely be back to try more if their dishes. read more

Been a customer here for the past 8 years or so. This is a good pho spot for the area and I really enjoy the vermicelli bowls with the fish sauce. Another favorite dish of mine is the BBQ sliced pork or beef with fried rice, two fried eggs and a side of broth. I love their coconut shakes but usually opt out of the boba since they are often on the hard side. However, the food is on the pricier side so not exactly a cheap eat. The service has been accommodating and the owner always goes out of her way to check in with me. Will always be coming back! read more

I grew up around the area and would often to Pho Minh Ky whenever my family didn't want to drive down to Chinatown/Dorchester, but this place is just not worth it. Every dish I've had here was mediocre/was lacking in some way. Their broth for pho was plain, their banh xeo was kind of soggy (should be crisp around the edges at the very least), and the thit nuong within their bún bowls wasn't really that great. I guess this place does the job to get you Viet cravings fixed - but honestly, just make the trip to get quality Viet food. read more

First time visiting this restaurant and found it clean and very, very spacious. The service was pleasant and the staff attentive and nice. The takeout was impeccable with better prices than through the yelp app. I had both fresh and fried spring rolls, and the fried spring rolls, rivaled boston china town. Pretty much the best outside of my friends mother's Vietnamese kitchen. The pho broth was definitely homemade and the extra vegetables were actually fresh in addition to generous portion of the traditional accompaniment. I was able to customize the noodles, so I chose clear (gluten free and lower calorie than traditional), and was really suprised by the generous amount of broth and quantity of both meat. I look forward to trying more dishes, I noticed the fried crab looked delicious and the serving could easily serve 3-4 people. Will definitely return! read more

Excellent food and good prices! I ordered the beef special pho and stir fry soft shell crabs. Both dishes were excellent. Best thing about this place : Huy Fong sriracha is available on the table.
