I'm going to straight up say it, this restaurant pissed me off. I went with my friend and first thing we noticed was the water tasted like bad tap water, almost like the way toilet water smells, I was absolutely BAMBOOZLED by this disgusting water! My friend ordered a lemonade and she said, quote on quote, "it tasted gritty, it burned my throat, wasn't sweet at all." now, I don't have much to comment on this, it sounded horrible. Another bad experience was that the waiter had an attitude, my friend said the beef broth tasted like a bad taco, my soup was perfectly fine but my friend had trouble even finishing it. The worst thing was at the end when we got our check. This was absolutely despicable. Our order was only 45 dollars in total, now I understand taxes but it was only 3 dollars more with tax, but this restaurant added a huge tip for themselves, mind you we only got small size soups. It ended up costing 60 dollars! I am appalled! The service wasn't even that good, and the waiter wasn't even friendly, plus we were gonna leave a tip on our own, but then they decided to not even give us change and added their own tip. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but the Pho was great. Super clean inside and the service was fast and efficient. I wasn't a fan of the spring rolls prior to the pho but overall that wasn't what I was there for. This place is great for a quick lunch spot or hitting for dinner.. This food here is delicious and seriously a hole-in-the-wall for Lynn! Within the Central Square area, it's certainly the best place to go fro Vietnamese food. The restaurant is not fancy and very modest inside. However, it is very spacious with ample seating. Service is also very quick, which is something I appreciate! I've been twice in the last couple of weeks, and the broth for the pho has been absolutely delicious. Each visit we try various dishes depending on our mood, and all have been excellent. I was glad they had paper menus in addition to their phone menu (they warned us the pricing was out of date on the paper but that was fine, I just prefer it to my phone for understanding the options). We got fresh rolls (Goi Cua Chay), and I got a vermicelli dish (Bun Heo Bo Hoat Ga with beef) while my friend got a beef soup entree. His was very spicy which he was delighted by, while mine had great flavor without it being spicy - just how I like it. The whole meal came to $32, which I think is very reasonable for 2 people. I ordered Kaw (pork) and Kaw (fish) to eat with steamed white rice. If you're looking for comfort food that's authentic and rich and sweet, and full of spice (black pepper) that won't have you reaching for H2O, you'll enjoy this dish. Theres the dish with the fish. And the dish with the pork. And you know what?!!?!? I picked both. It's a must have with steamed white rice. It'll balance out the RICH flavor thats in the Kaw. I also had an order of Spring Rolls. The order of Spring Rolls came with shrimp, pork and veggies inside of it - with silk creamy peanut sauce on the side. Some don't mind it but we didn't favor the way the pork was dry and textured. I've also had their Pho. The Pho is Z Bomb. Ita good for my soul on some days. And It's the only place I can find in Lynn right now that serves the best beef noodle soup aka Pho - all the other good Southeast Asian restaurants in Lynn are closed down. Overall food is cooked and made fresh every time I've gone in. Service: There are some days where they're service is really attentive and on others, not the bestest. But always friendly. And Price per Portion size, always a plus. Overall beats driving into Boston. A Curb side parking space isn't too hard to find nearby. There's also space in a lot behind the building next door. The Pho here is on par with some of the best available in Boston. I honestly do not eat Pho at any other city other than Dorchester. My experience with other pho restaurants outside of Dorchester were similarly poor. Pho Minh Ky was the only exception to this ad if today's date. It remind me a lot like the pho I can get at Pho Le, which is arguably the best Pho restaurant in Dorchester in my opinion. Pho Minh Ky, however, is a lot closer to home so I am extremely pleased to stumble upon them while taking care of business nearby. I had the pho dac biet, everything in it. Also ordered a Vietnamese ice coffee to go. The coffee was strong, thick and sweetened by the condensed milk and served cold with ice. It was just perfect and how Vietnamese ice coffee should taste!!! I also ordered bun bo hue to go for my husband but unfortunately it was not authentic. My husband said it tasted like they used the pho broth to make it which is a no no. I was greeted in English but when she realized I was Vietnamese my waitress conversed with me in Vietnamese thereafter. Service was efficient and polite. There is plenty of Street parking, 2 hours parking! I would definitely be back to try more if their dishes. read more

Been a customer here for the past 8 years or so. This is a good pho spot for the area and I really enjoy the vermicelli bowls with the fish sauce. Another favorite dish of mine is the BBQ sliced pork or beef with fried rice, two fried eggs and a side of broth. I love their coconut shakes but usually opt out of the boba since they are often on the hard side. However, the food is on the pricier side so not exactly a cheap eat. Every dish I've had here was mediocre/was lacking in some way. Their broth for pho was plain, their banh xeo was kind of soggy (should be crisp around the edges at the very least), and the thit nuong within their bún bowls wasn't really that great. The takeout was impeccable with better prices than through the yelp app. I had both fresh and fried spring rolls, and the fried spring rolls, rivaled boston china town. Pretty much the best outside of my friends mother's Vietnamese kitchen. The pho broth was definitely homemade and the extra vegetables were actually fresh in addition to generous portion of the traditional accompaniment. I was able to customize the noodles, so I chose clear (gluten free and lower calorie than traditional), and was really suprised by the generous amount of broth and quantity of both meat. I look forward to trying more dishes, I noticed the fried crab looked delicious and the serving could easily serve 3-4 people. Will definitely return! read more

It's a distance for sure, but well worth it! My beau and I decided to stop in recently for lunch as we were in the area. Everything appeared to remain the same as far as I can recall. I was expecting the owner, but she was not around sadly. Surprisingly, it was not packed at this particular hour (noon). As soon as we seated ourselves, the young server placed the menus on our table. One of the menus I picked up was wet. Not sure how or why, but they should do a better job in handling this. It just gave me a bad "first" impression. While my beau ordered his usual pho combo, I was craving a pork chop plate. Silly me.., I should've stuck to the safe bet and opted for a pho dish as well 'cause my entire meal was disappointing. From the small portion pork chop, to the accompaniments and even the fish sauce, everything was very bland, both salt and flavors were completely lacking. The quality was not there. I did not enjoy this dish whatsoever. I also sampled the pho, which was pretty standard. It's quite difficult to mess up pho for an establishment that specializes in such. I did not however, enjoy the yellow noodle swap, so should stick to the original clear noodles!
