Five stars for the food, but don't expect elegant surroundings or posh ambience. This is a small takeout place, with only 3 tables, one that is used for take-out orders. I was fortunate to get a table. They do a brisk take-out business. I had the laab chicken salad, which was excellent and their calamari, which was good . My meal arrived promptly and their food is more than reasonably priced.. The counter is staffed by an exceptionally cheery woman with a big smile and a positive attitude. Will I return? Absolutely! I ordered take out which was super easy and convenient to do. I always get Drunken noodles when I visit a Thai restaurant and this was probably the least impressive. I couldn't taste any basil, the noodles where thinner than anywhere else I've ever had them, there was no sauce in the dish, and the overall flavor was subpar. A friend recommended the gyoza, steamed , and although it was very good they were about the most enjoyable part of the meal. I also got an order of crab rangoons which were small, will little filling, and the pastry was thick and crunchy (maybe they were left too long in the microwave?). Lastly, we ordered the Thai coffee and it was decent but I probably wouldn't order again. Maybe there is something else to try on their menu but I'm not sure I'll visit again. This restaurant is very small and cozy. I think this place is ideal for takeout since there is not much seating but it's doable if you wanted to dine in. The service is very nice and friendly. I've come 3 times already, and it has quickly become one of my go-tos in Lynn as the food is authentic and fairly priced. Overall, a very solid Thai spot in Lynn! As well, there is lunch and dinner portions, and I recommend the dinner portion as they are only $2 more and decently more amount of food (at least for the curry)! read more

We had a family reunion gathering and wanted to get some yummy Thai that could feed lots of bellies. Thai Cafe was perfect! Not only was the food delicious, they offered $10 off for online order before 4pm. Our favs were the Pad See Ew with crispy chicken, Teriyaki chicken wings, onion pancakes, duck, broccoli and beef, and that amazing fried rice. Not greasy, no food coma, really light, yet flavorful. I am leaving this review of Thai Cafe after ordering takeout through Uber eats a handful of times. It is among my favorite spots for hot, fresh, delicious Thai food. The portions are very generous and they do not skimp on vegetables and toppings in their noodle dishes. My particular favs include the Pad See Ew, Drunken Noodles, and Pad Thai. I love that the vegetables are vibrant and have a nice bite to them -- never sad and overcooked. The Tom yum soup and fresh rolls are excellent as well. Service is top notch, too. After placing my most recent order online, I received a call from a very friendly worker who wanted to confirm one of the special requests I'd made on an item in my order. I thought that was so nice! My only word of caution is to be careful if you order anything made spicy here. I have a very high heat tolerance, and I could barely handle the drunken noodles I'd asked to be made this way. Not a criticism -- the chef did as I had asked -- but wowowow... be prepared! Overall, this spot is a great find. read more

Theirs is delicious and light as an app. Customer service is great, the lady on the phone was so sweet and our delivery driver was so apologetic about being "late" although he wasn't. Food is great but the delivery service is beyond awful. This is the second time recently. I ordered at 6:25pm at it is 8pm and still don't have my meal and live less than 5 miles away. Called twice and each time told 10 minutes We even put in for ASAP delivery and tipped. Not a happy customer and it will be a long time before I return if ever. read more

I've ordered from Thai Cafe before and thought the food was good. Unfortunately tonight was the exact opposite. My wife ordered the yellow curry with chicken and it looked like yellow water instead of the typical thick curry liquid. She said the chicken was flavorless and didn't even eat the vegetables because they tasted boiled with no flavor. The best part of her meal was when I made her a fried egg to put on the white rice that came with her meal. I ordered drunken noodles and it was probably the worst I've ever had. The noodles (looked like fettuccini) had no flavor, and tasted like it was boiled. The vegetables had no flavor, the meat tasted like it was boiled, and there was little to no sauce on the entire dish. Good drunken noodles are made in a wok and this dish wasn't made in any proximity of a wok. After we finished I looked up other reviews and see that someone made the same comments about the drunken noodles 16 days ago and had similar thoughts to my wife's review of her dish. At first I thought maybe we just had an off night, but 2 similar reviews within a month, and the food being off this much must mean standards or quality control has slipped significantly to a point of no return. read more

First time having their ladnah and it was delicious. It's stir fried wide noodles with a thick gravy. Other name for is is Cantonese noodles or meegathung. It's the best in Lynn. The ladnah isn't on their menu but if asked, they will make it for you. The drunken noodles are the best! Ask for spicy level number 3. read more

I drove almost 40 minutes to try this place. I love good Thai food so I thought I'd try a different spot for a change. I was disappointed to have wasted my trip, money and dinner. I ordered the basil fried rice with chicken and drunken noodle with beef. The fried rice was very greasy, very bland and had almost no basil in it. Maybe two small leaves. The chicken in it was flavorless and the heat level of the dish was non existent (I ordered it in its standard "two pepper" form which is meant to have some heat). I ate about 1/5th of it and threw away the rest. The drunken noodles were not much better. The "meat" was a few gray, chewy chunks of flavorless beef (I removed the meat from the noodles after eating a couple of pieces of it). The noodles were more like fettuccine than the normal wide noodles I'm used to seeing, they weren't cooked properly either. This dish was also very bland and devoid of heat...even though I ordered this one with "three peppers" (that level is supposed to have a pretty big kick). Apologies in advance for offering my unsolicited advice. Go elsewhere. There are terrific Thai food options in Wakefield, Danvers and Beverly. read more

First time ordering from here since they changed owners recently. I had the tom yum noodle soup and the papaya salad, both medium spicy. The tom yum was decent, nothing crazy but nothing to complain about. They were very generous with the bean sprouts since I asked for extra and spice level was barely noticeable. Papaya salad was good, first time trying so I don't have anything to compare it to. The spice level however, was more prominent than in the soup. I checked-in for the 10% discount but the owners didn't honor it since they were not notified that yelp offered it. I may need to try more items from their menu to get a better overall opinion. read more

Chicken fingers was chicken breast flatten, then fried it and cut into pieces (looks like what you make for parmesan chicken). Definitely not what expected. The only thing I like was the egg rolls. Ordered delivery last night and I was very happy with the experience. We ordered the chicken pad Thai , country chicken pad thai, and the pineapple fried rice. All of them were delicious with my favorite being the country pad thai due to the hint of heat in the dish. Food is good but i feel like they could improve on the dishes. For example, when ordering entrees- we have to tell them to put more chicken , meat etc - it basically comes with all veggies. Theyre great dishes but I can make that at home. I feel like if you have to raise price to add more chicken, beef , etc just do that . There are other Thai places that charge same are just as good and don't skim on meat portions. But they are nice and will fix it so try if you'd like! read more
