We are a family of three with a wheelchair. We ordered the lort cha (stir-fried noodles), lok lak (shaken beef), and chicken wings (with delicious sauces) and we loved each of our dishes. It's located in a great location and a plenty of parking. We noticed that the there were more online and pickup orders than dining in, but man was the restaurant popping with customers. It was very exciting to see. Inside the restaurant is very quaint, with about 3 tables, and there are more tables outside on the patio. There is a ramp for wheelchairs to get into the restaurant, but not the most wheelchair accessible. I think the seating and front table area could be reconfigured to be more efficient and spacious. However, customer service was top notch. Very kind owners. Food came out pretty quickly. I would definitely recommend this place! read more

I've had numerous dishes from The Golden Monkey Cafe and they never disappoint! Nowadays, there are fewer Cambodian restaurants in the area, so I make it a point to enjoy a delicious meal from here when I can. Every dish from here is a HIT! From the first bite, you can tell that this family owned spot puts their love and soul into every single dish. Their "Mekathang" AKA flat rice noodles are a family favorite. The sauce is savory with a rich consistency that coats every noodle. I usually get the beef and seafood option which comes with tender pieces of beef and juicy pieces of shrimp. The vegetables that come with the dish are always fresh and crisp, especially the baby corn. Their "Bai Sach Mon" AKA crispy chicken & rice is a go to comfort meal too. The chicken comes out fresh and crispy with a delicious sweet chili sauce on the side. Make sure you try their "Bai Cha" AKA fried rice!! It's so comforting and filling. If you're looking to try a more traditional homestyle dish, I recommend the "Cha Kreung" which is a lemongrass paste stir fry. You can choose either beef or chicken, both of which come packed with flavor that make this dish superrr comforting. They make this dish just like my yeay (grandma) does and it takes me back home. If you're looking for quick finger food, their Slap Mon AKA Chicken Wings and their "Kdam Roum" AKA Crab Rangoon Rolls are fresh and crispy every single time. Their "Hot Nu Mon" sauce for their wings is my absolute favorite, it's a spicy, citrusy, and slightly salty sauce that takes the wings to a whole new level. Be warned, this sauce is addicting! Their crab rangoons are packed full, they never skimp out, and they have a slight sweetness that makes them some of the best I ever had in my life. In addition to the food being delicious, their prices are really affordable which I understand must be difficult to maintain in our economy right now. On top of that, the restaurant is run by a family team with a husband and wife duo at the forefront of operations. They also make it a priority to be engaged with the community by giving back and serving food at local events. How could you not want to support? Their service is always amazing and super friendly. If you ever stop by while one of the owners, Peter, is at the register, you can tell right away that he cares for each and every customer that walks through the door. The rest of the staff never hesitate to help walk a customer through the menu if they're unfamiliar with dishes so don't be afraid to ask questions. Space is limited but if you do choose to dine-in, the staff are very attentive and kind as well. I really can't recommend this spot enough! Both are very fresh and flavorful; I recommend getting the gravy for the noodles so it's more like a lad na. I don't like a lot of sauce but wish I would have ordered it. I also loved the Cambodian pickled vegetables (similar to atchara), which were great. I didn't love the lemongrass beef or tofu dish; thought both were bland. My friends and I just had to pop in when we found this local Khmer spot. Since it was a soft opening day, they didn't have their skewers as well as other items available yet. We shared some eggs rolls while sipping on a mango and taro slush made at their service window. The egg rolls didn't have a ton of meat but were good for holding us over while we waited. Entrees consisted of the meekathang, ramen, and pork chop with fried rice. I didn't try the meekathang but it did look good. I found my pork chop to be a little bland and could have used some more time to caramelize but the fried rice was decent. My favorite dish was the ramen even though they seemed to have used instant noodles for it. The broth was deliciously seasoned with a few pieces of bok choy. The owner kindly provided us with complementary banana fritters which were an excellent way to end the meal. Nothing like a sweet fried carbohydrate to fill up the stomach. Overall, a good experience that I would like to visit again. I recommend supporting all small establishments especially after the impact of COVID. read more

I went to grab a bite last weekend before the snowstorm of Sunday. It was luckily quiet in the mid afternoon and the small lot was free of other cars. I ordered the Ramen with seafood along with a side order of the fried chicken wings with lemon grass sauce. After the meal, I added a mango boba as well to top it all off. There are several Cambodian restaurants in the area, but overall it is still rare so it is great to have one around when I am seeking traditional Cambodian/Khmer dishes. It's not a large space, cozy enough to seat a few tables and everything is simple with a large wall menu behind the counter or paper menu if you choose. The employees are very courteous and friendly. I suspect it is a family business give and you can just tell they take care of customers unlike a corporate restaurant. The ramen soup came out quick and looked great! Initially, the broth was rather plain but I forgot to add the slice of lime and let the flavors marinate for a bit. You have to treat this ramen like pho and not like the way of Japanese ramen which is a bit saltier by default. Once you add in your lime, chili, and pepper then it tasted great. Perfect for the cold weather nowadays and I love the thin noodles in a pretty decently sized bowl. Since I have a big appetite, chicken wing side dishes are usually my go to. They were very crispy and flavorful if you got the wings with the lemon grass sauce. If they added a bit more sauce then it would be even better or a little sauce plate. Really complemented the ramen well in my opinion. My only disappointment was the mango boba. It felt a little bit watered down compared to other places which then diluted the flavor. Still good nonetheless but not the best I've tasted. They have quite the wide variety of foods on their menu from appetizers to other noodles and rice dishes. Stopped in here for a quick to go snack. I was not disappointed! The chicken wings lemon grass sauce blew me away. So tasty. The spring rolls are fresh and full and soft and ooo so yummy. Filled with rice , rice noodles, veggies , shrimp, and sliced chicken. Mild vinegar sauce with crushed peanuts. Definitely good sized portion for one / maybe two. The meals look great - I can't wait to go back and try another dish. (Literally) mom is out back cooking and her son runs the front. Clean. Came to Lynn back in October to stop by the Walmart because they had the costumes my boys wanted in their size. Decided that I wanted some Khmer style fried bananas and this place had it. It was lunch time and I thought to myself, I never ate Khmer food from a Khmer restaurant so let's just eat lunch here as well. Growing up in a Khmer household, Khmer food to me was basically curry and noodles everything but didn't realize there were other Khmer style dishes.
