I would only recommend for the FRIED chicken honestly because ROACH (bug)can't survive in hot grease. And I say that to say this? My homegirl was there one night buying food and there was a roach on the counter but she proceed to say the wings are so bomb that the roach was nun of her business which I agreed(unitl eating today and reading a review about a roach n the customers food)But today I decided to get other food and it was simple lo mien n fried wings and the lo mien was over cooked, soggy and gross and those noodles were $14... Cheers isn't the only place where everybody knows your name. After spending just a few minutes waiting for my takeout, I could see the atmosphere at Asian Garden in Lynn was more of a friendly corner bar than a high turnover take out restaurant. I have been twice, once just before a show at the Lynn Auditorium, when the place was hopping, drinks were flowing, and the food was delicious. Even though many of the patrons wanted to get served in time for the show, there seemed to be no difficulty. The staff was spot on. The second was last night. I was a bit intimidated by the city's idiotic rebuild of Market Street, cutting half of the on-street parking for yet another useless bike lane, but I wanted, no, I needed some Asian delights. Yu Yshaing's style was available in a generous combo with pork, chicken, or shrimp. I chose white rice and egg roll for the appetizer. I was happy to see that Asian Garden sent me home with real Chinese hot mustard, and not that vile stuff in a squeeze packet. Thanks. Ordered 2 combination plates last night and after my bf ate 70% of his plate he finds a cockroach in his rice we immediately stopped eating it and made ourselves throw up the sad part about this is my 8yr old son had eaten and gone to bed hours before it was found so I hope to God my boy didn't eat any roaches smh read more

This Lynn Chinese 'hole in the wall' located directly across from City Hall and the Lynn Auditorium serves super fresh Chinese fare. Personal favorites are the Walnut Shrimp and Egg Foo Yung. I decided to stop in at a small Chinese joint long forgotten. It is located in downtown Lynn. The last time I was there I guess was over 20 years ago. I am not sure why I haven't stopped in??? I pass it all the time. Well today was the day!! I walked thru the big wood door and it was like I was transported back in time to 1980... The place was exactly the same.. The walls, the ceiling, the furniture and I think the waitress???? I was instructed to find my own table so I sat near the large windows so I could watch the passersby, which in turn were watching me as they passed..lol... I decided to order as I would have back in the day, so I started with a #19 which is a Wonton soup and is available with either Roast Pork or Chicken. I opted for the Roast Pork which was given sparingly along with some peapods, 3 wontons and what I believe was bok choy?? Anyway, the soup was great. It was exactly how I remembered all the Chinese restaurants from my youth making it. A flash from the past and a good one. I also ordered a pupu platter for one and yes, as you would assume by now, it was exactly how it was prepared 20 years ago. The pupu was pretty large for a serving for one. It included 3 chicken fingers, 2 chicken wings, 2 fried wontons, 1 steak teriyaki and a fried shrimp ring served along with a good amount of boneless spare ribs and an eggroll. I received all this for $20. and this included the tip :) Fun fact: They serve their duck sauce and hot mustard in ketchup and mustard bottles like you find at a picnic, the plastic squeezable ones..lol.. A little funny but very convenient.. If you're in Lynn and would like a nice lunch or early dinner, I would recommend to try Asian Garden. It seems like a local watering hole. Not to sure I was there approximately 4:00 and what looked like a loyal local crowd was starting to fill up the bar area. Most likely the regulars... I do have to mention the decor, The most interesting aspect of the decor from days gone by would be the interesting metal Asian decorated ceiling, it is amazing. also they have the older Asian door arches . The decor is very outdated, but I think it adds a new charm to the place in a world that is full of neon and flash... Give them a try... I will go back for a drink or lunch in the future. I had it delivered and I couldn't believe how fast they were. The food was definitely hot and the amount of food they give. I ordered a combination dinner plate and scallion pancakes had enough for several meals. Everything was delicious. Must try crab ragoon but honestly what ever you do order you won't be disappointed. My family and I order about three times per month from here. Their food is absolutely delicious and they deliver always before or by 40 minutes. I don't think we've ever waited longer than 40 minutes for our food to arrive. Their portions are just a tad on the small side but the fact that the food is almost always cooked to perfection makes me happy! I've. Had lots of Chinese food. This was the 2nd to worst. Egg roll stuff with seemed like just cabbage, the crab Rangoon tasted of onion , rarely crab ( fake or real). Went to this restaurant after a concert at Lynn City Hall. Sat at the bar for 20 minutes and bartender never acknowledged me. There were no more than 8 people at the bar and she didn't acknowledged me sitting. I couldn't be missed because I was directly in front of the register where she was ringing in tabs. Came here with my wife and will never be coming back. The employees and manager was extremely rude the entire time. My wife and i ordered a drink and it tasted like straight water. We finally got our food after almost an hour waiting on a Monday and my wife up found something hard in our food. Not sure if it was a pebble or something. On top of that , my chicken was raw. So we drive back and they tell us there is nothing they can do cause they didn't remember us .... (we drove back 30 mins later). Unbelievable. DO not ever come here.
