I love this place and order from here often, both for dining in and takeout, which is why this experience was disappointing. I ordered the crispy shrimp with cashew nuts, crab rangoons, and salt and spicy calamari. The shrimp were tasty and fresh, but unfortunately, the rest of the experience was not what I expected. The calamari was over-fried and bland, with barely any salt or pepper. The texture and taste made it seem frozen rather than fresh, and it looked nothing like the picture on the menu. Since this was my first time trying it, I was especially disappointed. The crab rangoons were tasty, but they are quite expensive for only five pieces, and the amount of dipping sauce provided was barely enough. It was disappointing to see such a small portion of sauce, especially when ordering takeout. As someone who genuinely enjoys this restaurant and orders regularly, it is disappointing to feel like the quality and portions may be slipping, with overcooked food and less sauce. I hope this was just an off day because I would love to continue enjoying the same quality that made me a regular customer in the first place. read more

Confusing menu spread across 2 menus, with the layout hard to parse. They do have a vegetarian section of the menu, most of which is vegan by default. I got a vegetable & tofu soup ($8) to start; and a vegetable curry with tofu ($16) as my main, which came with rice--I asked for it to be 4/4 in spiciness. The soup was as boring as could be. Flavourless broth, with maybe a touch of sodium, with a bunch of veggies and steamed tofu. Well, it was healthy--just a pathetically designed dish. Why have this on the menu? Thankfully, the curry was fantastic. Rich curry, adequately spicy--though I wouldn't say 4/4; maybe 2-2.5/4--with lots of depth, copious mixed veggies and deep fried tofu no really liked the inclusion of charged Brussels sprouts, something you don't normally see in Thai food. When I asked for the bill, there was an additional $2 for "tofu & veggies" that I wasn't told about. Rather than argue, I just took it out of the tip. Can't stand when restaurants tack on extra charges without telling you. All in all, very good vegan-friendly Thai. read more

Noodles were over cooked and somewhat goey. Broccoli was near raw. My friend ordered Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken. Shrimp was a bit tough. Not the best Thai food I have had but it was decent. Stellar food, service, and ambiance. All the staff were attentive and kind, never made us feel rushed. Their menu has a lot of classic and fusions twists with pictures that all look so good, it was hard to decide! I dined with a friend who is a pescatarian and there were plenty of fish and veggie options. Standouts were the emerald gyoza, the salmon khao soi, and mango sticky rice ice cream. Space is really clean and nicely decorated with rich greens, nice light fixtures and comfortable seating. There's street parking and a parking lot about one block down the way. Came here for lunch and was blown away by the lovely decor, attentive staff and the flavorful food. My spicy noodle lunch special came with crispy chive cakes which were light and delicious. The noodles were packed with flavors and with the ideal texture of soft but not sticky. All the lunch items ordered at my table were amazing, especially the avocado curry with the perfect blend of coconut flavor and spiciness. Our server was friendly and prompt throughout the meal. Rose Mary opened recently in Peabody near the Main/Lowell/Foster/Central Street intersection, in the former La Siesta space. The dining space was redone with decorative wall murals, full service bar, table seating and booths. They also offer takeout and online ordering. The food menu offers a selection of Thai dishes including appetizers, soups, noodle/rice dishes, stir frys, curries, duck, Mediterranean Branzino dishes, vegetarian, and desserts. They also have lunch specials. The prices are moderate. On my way home from the Northshore, I decided to stop by Rose Mary for dinner takeout. On the way to the restaurant, I placed an online order through Toast, ordering the Spicy Pad Thai with Tofu & Vegetables ($16 plus tax) and Steamed Butterfly ($9 plus tax). My food was all set and bagged when I arrived at Rose Mary 15 minutes later for pickup. The Spicy Pad Thai had a mix of soft thin rice noodles tossed with a mix of veggies (scallion, peppers, onions, sprouts, broccoli), spices, and firm tofu cubes. This noodle dish was fairly spicy and had good flavors. The Steamed Butterfly had seven smaller steamed Thai style dumplings filled with turnips & chopped peanuts, garnished with chopped garlic and served with ginger sauce for dipping. This appetizer was a pretty good choice. Overall, I would definitely come back here for a dine-in experience for lunch or dinner. The food I ordered was very good and I very much enjoyed my takeout dinner. The service was very prompt, easy in and out pickup near the front door. There are some other selections on their menu that I would try including the Tom Yum Noodles Hot Pot, Hawaiian Fried Rice, Crispy Taro, and I-Tim Kaati for dessert. read more

Very flavorful, good amount of fresh veggies, and nice size pieces of tender pork (unlike other versions with tiny pieces of overcooked pork). We also got the drunken chicken, which was also very good- excellent seasoning, fresh veggies. For an app, we got the fried wings. Unfortunately, they arrived soggy (got delivery) despite the thoughtful packaging with a vent on top to prevent this. They were ok flavor-wise, but likely much better in the restaurant. This new Thai Restaurant in the center of Peabody square is delicious, clean and it was very busy for a Monday night. I did however order the chicken and got shrimp...but I like shrimp and it was good. It was a generous portion!!! I never send food back, so I ate it. The waitstaff did check on us a lot. We will definitely come back. Oh and yes he did charge me for the chicken and not shrimp. Which was a kind thing to do. read more

Drunken noodle and Hawaiian rice were pretty good. Chicken satay was over marinated and spicier than I've ever had before. Most upsetting were general Gao's chicken and mango chicken, which were about 5% chicken and 95% batter and corn starch. They didn't even taste like chicken. I wouldn't come here again. By the way, not a single person inside besides us from 4:30 till 6:15pm. read more
