Ordered a door dash order for the family while spending a layover night here. Based off the reviews and kitchen open at the time we ordered it was a good bet. The food was delicious!! So glad it worked out. I was nervous because you can't specify a spice level when you order online but it came perfectly spiced. We devoured it.

OMG... PLEASE PLEASE do not let the location of this place scare you off... There is no real good Thai food in Everett, and I was craving the other night & lately all delivery places (grubhub, doordash) do this horrible thing where they allow drivers to make multiple deliveries and yes thats great for the drivers to double down & make money but completely lessens the quality for the consumer - sorry Im ranting!!! So I knew I needed to find a close place vs ordering from Cambridge or Tom Yum like I normally do... So I ordered several things just to be able to say Ok, Soup is good, Apps are good, Noodles are good, You know - or just really be fat, whichever narrative sounds better, LOL Everything was better than good! I even got a call to confirm how I wanted something because there was an option apparently I left off the app (GREAT customer service)! Everything was fresh, everything was delish, Good portions, All super hot still... WILL DEF BE GOING BACK!!! Crab Rangoon delicious, Pad Thai I feel is the same anywhere you go but I have once or twice had Bad Pad Thai but this was good... Pad See Eew was delish, and the Rad Na was sooo good! Now Im drooling and want more but its too late, Ugh... Def go & dont hesitate!

Hidden in the industrial district of Everett, next to Stardust Video - one could easily miss Fighting Fish. And I'm so glad I didn't; this tiny spot deserves the spotlight. The food is rustic country cookery - and the flavors are bold, deep, well balanced and authentic. Every dish we shared was outstanding and satisfying. The restaurant itself is well-decorated, warm and inviting - and the service is friendly and quick. There's a surprising amount of seating available. Prices are more than fair. I have zero notes - just looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

OMG this was the Isan (North Eastern Thailand) Flavors I needed ! Only 3min from encore you need to swing by and try their authentic papaya salad ! Pickled crabs added in for all the umami fun ! Fried whole fish was perfectly flaking and drizzled with a sweet and tangy sauce! Whole fish isn't your thing ! Try the Crispy Flakey Fish Salad ! This is a salad that is not commonly served in Thai restaurants - I would drive out just for This ! Chef Charles was on deck and he delivered one of the best lunches we will remember ! Came out and was one of the sweetest chefs who cares about his feedback They have outdoor seating as well ! If you visit during the summer - also parking is no issue - there's a lot !

Food and service well above par. Their chicken feet come apart so easily and are savory and spicy. This is my new go-to place when we visit family in the area. Staff is so kind and friendly. My daughter went there some time back and when they saw she was pregnant they insisted on carrying her food to the car.

The team here is wonderful and the food is even better! I've had pretty much every dish available (including a dessert another patron insisted I try...and he was right, get the mango/sticky rice thing)! Fave dish is the Rad Na w/veg with the Tom Yum Noodle Soup w/veg.

Such a great service and good flavor of thai food. The small place with a colorful decoration and nice ambiance. My friends and I ordered take away food the last minute before their closing time because our flight was delayed and we have to go on the long road trip to Maine. The owner, Neung and his husband offered us to having the food in the restaurant instead of take away and extend their closing time for us. It's so generous of them. On top of all, their menu and flavors are the best.

Nice and chill! It's hidden away so find it... service is fast and the food is yummy! The atmosphere is nice it's nicely decorated too

Hidden Gem Alert! Authentic Thai Flavors in an Unexpected Spot Don't let the location fool you - Fighting Fish Thai Cuisine is a true hidden gem! Tucked away in the parking lot of Stardust Video, and right across from Rise Cannabis (the old King Arthur's site), this new spot delivers seriously delicious Thai food. I recently tried their Pad Ka Prow Pork with a Fried Egg, and it transported me straight back to the street food of Chiang Mai, Thailand. The flavors were spot-on, perfectly balanced, and truly authentic; im pretty sure that they used Holy Basil in the stir fry. It's the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes and savor every bite. If you're looking for real Thai flavors and don't mind an unconventional setting, Fighting Fish is a must-try. I'm already planning my next visit!

Looking for a restaurant off the beaten path of route 16 in Everett? You have come to the right place. The Fighting Fish is a boutique kind of Thai restaurant nestled behind the New England Produce Center on Beacham Street. It's only been open a month and there seems to be a steady stream of customers coming to have a taste of what they have to offer We had the vegetable spring rolls. They had just enough crunch and sauce on the side for dipping I opted for the yellow chicken curry. We also wanted to try the soups. II got the coconut soup and my hubby had the wonton soup. My soup was spicy and sweet with good sized shrimp. The yellow curry was delicious. It was loaded with tasty chicken and yummy vegetables. The serving was so generous that I ended up taking the rest of it home My hubby's chicken basil was excellent. It had tender chicken, mushrooms, string beans, and other vegetables. It was spicy but not overpowering. The waiter told us it was his first night working. He was sweet but you could tell he was nervous but he did well. My hubby was the one who suggested we come today and we weren't disappointed Family owned, his brother and mother each took turns wearing a chili pepper costume outside of the restaurant to bring in customers Just make sure you don't take the other sign so seriously in front of the building. Worth a trip! We will be back! Enjoy!

it's soooo good to the point that i have to come here once a week for the past two months. it's seriously the best Thai food i've ever had. not only the food is addicting but the people that work here are so genuinely friendly and welcoming. they're the best and the reason why i come back every single time

We walked into a warmly decorated dining room where the staff remained accommodating even during a busy Friday night when the pace naturally slowed a bit. The Hainanese chicken is the dish to build the meal around, earning the most consistent praise for good reason. The chicken came out tender and well seasoned, with a depth of flavor from the poaching process done properly. The rice that accompanied it absorbed enough of the cooking liquid to stand on its own rather than just serving as a base. The curry chicken in particular has a sauce worth working through to the last spoonful, and pairing it with white rice or the coconut rice made the whole bowl feel complete. The roti canai is the starter most people reach for first, and it is worth having alongside the mains, flaky and well made with the curry dipping sauce doing its job. The beef rendang and chow kueh teow rounded out a menu that rewards ordering widely across a table. A few dishes landed on the milder side compared to what a more assertive Malaysian kitchen might deliver, so if you want bolder heat it is worth asking when ordering. The lunch combination sets offer strong value if your schedule allows for a midday visit. For a Malaysian restaurant in Chinatown that delivers on the Hainanese chicken and roti canai, Penang is a solid and much needed option in the neighborhood.

Nestled above the heart of Chinatown -- in what could be an artist's charming top floor studio loft…read more-- is My Thai Vegan Café, a modern veg take on traditional Thai dishes that feature an impressive array of shredded veggies and mock meats tossed into a wok. Here are some important distinctions to know for my fellow veg foodies: If you are the type of vegetarian who generally avoids Thai food because of the sneaking suspicion every dish has fish sauce, then this place is truly paradise. However, for people used to eating Thai food, it should be noted that this is not an authentic Thai eatery -- it is Vietnamese-owned with a Chinese staff, and I find that most of the dishes have a more traditional Vietnamese palate. I am writing this as a person who's consumed a lot of Thai food and couldn't help but make comparisons. The "fish sauce" is a combination of vinegar, chili sauce, and sugar--it works as a substitute and is generally offered as a side to garnish your main entrees, but those who eat Thai regularly will notice a subtle difference lacking in the pungent umami realm. The mock meats are either made with textured soy (chicken and beef), vital wheat gluten, or konjac root starch (same as shirataki noodles) for mock shrimp, which can have a gummy texture. For newcomers, the curries come highly recommended by staff, especially the mango yellow curry or pumpkin curry. Most tables also order the fried wonton appetizers and summer rolls. The wok noodles are a classic, but lack the same savoriness as traditional Thai eateries, I'd recommend the Pad Woon Sen plus, which comes with an assortment of mock shrimp, beef, tofu and chicken for just $1 more. I also tried the Tom Kha, which had a smooth coconut broth, but lacked herbal kick and tasted like it was missing the deep steep of lemongrass and galang root -- adding lime juice gave it a nice brightness and burst of flavor. Lots of reviews also recommend the birds nest, which is a fried nest of shredded taro with vegetables and protein inside. Do not order the Tom Yum, maybe it was an off day but the soup was a sodium bomb and couldn't be consumed. The restaurant is located up two flights of stairs in what feels like an intimidating, gritty stairwell tagged with graffiti. The space itself is warm and inviting though, decorated with lots of plants and string lights. The staff is friendly and attentive upon walking in and taking your order but then leaves you to enjoy your meal after serving. The dishes come in hot, large portions and every entree is plenty for two moderately hungry people. The pricing is fair, with most dishes between $15-25. I recommend going with a group and getting several items to share.

However, I think that's just the nature of the dish, not the restaurant's fault. Maybe the crispy chicken would have been the way to go. The ginger rice was decent, but not something I'd go out of my way for. No issues in terms of service, since I just took my food to go. The restaurant was modern and had a decent amount of seating, but it was certainly a casual spot. I think there are better spots in the area, especially given that the menu is pretty limited.

After ordering at the counter, we got our food really quickly (all in takeout containers / disposable at the end). We both ordered the "The Mix" combo, which comes with both the traditional boiled chicken and the crispy chicken. To save you the effort of trying both, the crispy one is definitely better. The boiled chicken has a certain natural flavour to it, but even with the given sauce it is still rather bland and rather chewy in my experience. The crispy chicken was very yummy - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Also, the ginger rice is very fragrant and pairs well with the chicken, and the meal came with a bowl of the daikon soup which I loved! I was a bit peeved that the boneless chicken included quite a few pieces of bone. A few is understandable, but 6 out of 8 pieces included nontrivial bones. (Not a significant part but the Thai iced tea was good too.) We ended with the "The Mango" mango sticky rice, which was a bit of a miss for us. The first impression - seeing rainbow-coloured sprinkles - definitely set a weird tone, and unfortunately the rest of the dresser didn't really salvage that impression. The mango was mediocre - not very fresh, and many pieces looked dark or bruised. I understand mangos may be difficult to procure freshly / in season, but I feel like if that is the primary feature of the dish, then we should be able to expect more. The rice part was also decent at best - rather bland and sticky to the point of sogginess. Overall, the main entree parts were very yummy, and I would definitely come back for that again (although maybe just the crispy chicken next time). The dessert was disappointing, although I wonder if that is a specific thing with the mango (they have a fried milk dessert - which I love - and seems very promising!).
