This small, hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurant is a favorite among BU students. The food is affordable, tasty, and quick to prepare with large portion sizes. One plate could be shared among two people. Don't go in expecting quality Thai food though; Nud Pob is rather a great choice for quick Thai takeout. I can see this hitting hard as late night food or food after a night out. Staff was also friendly.

This place serves quick to go Thai food. If you are in the mood for different type of Thai dishes with affordable prices, this place is for you. The menu doesn't contain the dish description, so u need to ask the cashier what the dish contains. This place is a self-serve, you come up front to order and they will call your number for the food. The setup is similar to cafeteria. Personally, I always order Pad Thai when I try a new Thai spot, and I was not too impressed with the quality of the dish. The ingredients are somewhat not fresh when I tasted the meatball in the Boat Noodle. However, the cashier is very nice and friendly, and everyone here were enjoying their food! I think this place is like a place for the community to gather and get quick bites.

The Indonesian fried rice is a must!! The crispy pork is out of this world - super juicy and tender but very flavorful and crispy! It pairs very nicely with the slightly tangy soft fried rice. The Pad Kee Mao was also very homey - with each tofu bursting with flavor!

I love some Thai takeout food and Nud Pob lived up to expectations! I placed an order for a couple dishes and within just a few minutes, it was ready for me to pickup. My partner and I ordered pad thai with crispy chicken, pad kee mao with duck, and a thai iced tea. I was blown away by the pad thai - there were slightly less ingredients in this pad thai compared to what some other Thai restaurants serve, but the flavor was incredible. The crispy chicken was also a delicious touch and I love the sweet and sour sauce served with it. I wasn't blown away by the drunken noodles, but they were still tasty. They were a bit too ginger-y for my taste buds, but my partner really liked it. I was a big fan of their Thai iced tea though, it was not overly sweetened but the perfect palate cleanser between dishes. The portions here were very reasonable, especially considering the prices. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for some tasty takeout!

This is a solid, no frills place if you want some quick Thai food. There are plenty of solo diners, pairs, and families. The restaurant is located conveniently next to BU's campus, so expect to see a good number of students. I ordered the Star Noodle and enjoyed it. There's an intercom that announces your order number, and you have to get your own water and utensils. My food was ready in about 10 minutes, so the wait wasn't bad at all. If you're trying to limit talking to restaurant staff (and want a quick bite), come give this place a try!

Very very good! Located right on the Boston University campus, they have a huge menu of amazing food. I had the Mango Fried Rice with Tofu which was amazing, and some people in my party got the Chicken Pad Thai which was definitely the better order. The food also came out very quickly. I would definitely return here!

Amazing. I go here every week and it never disappoints. The drunken noodles are great and they give huge portions!! And the staff is very sweet.

So glad this place is back open again. It's a great campus eatery. I love how warm it is and the food is never disappointing. I usually always order the pad Thai or pineapple fried rice. The wait for food is usually 12-15 minutes at minimum.

I LOVE Nud pob. This Thai restaurant is conveniently located in BU central. It is family owned and all of the employees are really nice. Most of their customers are BU students. There's ample amount of seating, but they also offer take out. My go to is their tofu pad see ew. Portions are always generous, and costs about $12.50. They've got a ton of options on their menu, from curry dishes to squid prik pow. Definitely get their thai iced tea too - it's sooo good. Street parking is convenient right outside the restaurant. Overall rating: 10/10

for the price: stellar. a great cheap thai food spot on campus with plentiful portions. my recommendation is to always opt in for the crispy chicken which adds a delightful crunch to any hearty dish. the pad see ew is always a great go to and for me, the pad thai is a little bit overly sweet. did not like the mango sticky rice when I tried it. ambience and vibe inside is nothing flashy- you order at the counter and pick up food when ready. food usually does not take too long to get though. get the chaing mai curry noodle - fantastic soupy dish adn crispy wontons add a delightful texture. fried rice portions are always very large.

    Pad Kee Mao/ Drunken Noodle

Ordered here twice. The place is often very crowded during lunch hours so decided to try. The first time, I ordered Pad Thai, which came out to be really bad. I ordered spicy but it didn't have much flavor and the ratio of noodles to other is not good. Perhaps it is not the Thai version so it was not as I expected. I ordered a more recommended dish, the pad kee mao/drunken noodles. This time, it tasted much better with a good ratio of meat, vegetables and noodles. The overall flavor is decent, the spice is combined well with the dish, and you do get a lot of food. Given its convenient location, I can see why people like it. However, compared to other Thai restaurants very closely near by, this place is not as good. The crispy chicken and the meat are not as juicy and it feels quite greasy. The spice also doesn't kick in as much. Overall a decent place to grab a quiet lunch.

Yes. I'm that person that asked what Nud Pob means. It means to ,,hang out" in Thai. If only I could I'd give them 10 stars - this is my hands down favorite Thai place in all of Boston. The food is authentic af and when I first ate the Thai food here, it felt like I was transported back to Thailand. Anyway. The portion size for the price?!? AMAZING. (I mean it's near BU so I guess they are feeding college kids...) Where can you get a thicc pad thai for $9.25?!! The pad thai? Sour. Spicy. Sweet. All the flavors are there. My BFs fave is the crispy basil chicken (which is P good too but I don't like crispy chicken lol). The red curry is also *chef's kiss*, but medium spicy wasn't spicy enough, even for me. The Thai tea isn't overwhelmingly sweet and is really balanced with the tea flavor. I miss dining in and seeing all the nice Thai aunties :(

Hands down the best Thai spot in Boston! As a BU student this place is the best place on campus for a meal after class.

The yellow curry and the Mosiman curry are both very poor. Not even really edible. The peanut sauce was OK.

We stopped into Thaitation for lunch between visits to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the…read moreMuseum of Fine Arts; it was the perfect spot, since it only took us about 5 minutes out of the way. The restaurant was casual, but nice, and had several other tables of diners at that time. The staff was very friendly, as well. The menu had some really interesting dishes that I had not seen elsewhere, but I was lame and ordered my usual - Chicken Pad See Ew. I found the poultry to be very tender, and the included broccoli was fresh and crisp. I should note that the broccoli used was the popular Calabrese kind, while Chinese broccoli cost $1 more. In fact, there were several upcharges scattered around the menu, which was a bit much. Anyway, back to the dish...In addition to the broccoli, carrots were also included, which was not typical for Pad See Ew, but I was fine with it! The sweet soy sauce was a bit thick, like a light gravy, so that was a bit unusual, but the flavor was terrific! I heard reasonably positive things about their Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles as well. Thaitation would be a place I would frequent if I lived in the area.

Noise levels were low for most of the meal, but at one point turned up to blast a rendition of "happy birthday" for another guest - after that, music stayed a bit too loud, which seemed to clash with the otherwise calm ambiance. They didn't ask for our preferred spice levels for the main dishes, and I would've liked everything a little bit spicier. We originally wanted the salmon spring rolls but they were out. We got Tod Mun (fried fish cakes) instead, and they were really tasty. They were smaller but greater in quantity than what I've seen elsewhere, and the sauce was good. I'm not a huge fan of the side salads, though this one surprised me with the spiciness in the dressing. We ordered the mango curry (which comes with chicken, and we added steamed tofu for no charge) and tofu drunken noodles. The noodles were really good, plus looked more appetizing than the similarly-popular pad thai. I was hoping the mango in the curry would be large, beautiful pieces of sweet mango on top, so I was a little disappointed that the small chunks weren't quite as flavorful as I was hoping for. However, I was still quite happy with the dish overall. It also comes with a (pretty small) bowl of rice on the side. The food by itself would be 4 stars for me, except that at the very end of my meal, as I was polishing off the curry, I found a long hair stuck to the bottom of my plate. It didn't match ours, so I know for sure it came from the staff. I know it happens, but the ick factor is hard to get over. Knocked off a star for the unfortunate hair.
