Seafood pad Thai, massaman tofu curry

Pleasant setting with mellow music and good service. I'm used to a slightly different style of shumai and seafood pad Thai, but I would give this reasonably priced restaurant another chance. Hubby enjoyed his scallion pancake and massaman tofu curry.

Gem of a spot- cozy clean and no frills, big entree portions and sizeable apps. Our waitress was attentive and never left water glasses empty. We got the crab Rangoons and egg drop soup as starters (no complaints) and crispy pad Thai and noodle aspar for mains. Both were delicious, though I think they forgot to throw in the mushrooms in the aspar noodles. Regardless, we left full and satisfied and I'll definitely be returning.

This is a hole in the wall near Fenway- didn't know it was here and decided to pop in with a friend. I tried the pad see ew and thought it was decent. There was a good portion size and they didn't skimp on the tofu, which some places do. The curry puffs were flavorful with a lot of filling. The waiters were nice as well. A solid thai place!

This was the weirdest Thai food I have ever had. Everything was beige. And soupy. I eat a lot of Thai at home and I have never had beige Pad Thai. It is usually on the dry side and orange due to the spice mix. At Thaitation it was soupy and wet. And sweet to the point I couldn't force myself to eat more than a few bites. And the noodles were soft and overcooked, more like a chow fun. The green curry was better. The flavor was good but it was also beige (see photos). The veggies were soft and the texture were off. Also you could not taste any vegetable flavor. Basil was sprinkled in and got boiled, instead of being an element of the curry, as you would expect Service was fine. Restaurant was clean. I don't know why reviews are so positive. This food was the worst Thai I have had.

How do I give it 10 stars? I am a native Bostonian and cannot believe I just learned of this place! It is not too far from Fenway but nestled in a residential neighborhood so in essence, to me, this is a HIDDEN GEM. This is a family owned Thai restaurant with no frills, just simply focusing on preparing a delicious meal for their customers. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly and humble. The curry puff was the best I've ever had. The other appetizers were amazing. I had Khao Soi for the first time and truly enjoyed the flavors. I'm not someone who normally consumes spicy food but it worked well for this dish. Not too spicy but enough to for a little kick. I honestly cannot wait to come back here. Thinking about it makes my mouth watery.

INCREDIBLE THAI PLACE. I love these hole in the wall restaurants. It is nestled in the neighborhood of Fenway and it very much is a hidden gem. The pad sew ew and khai soi was outstanding. Decent price for the value $17. Went on a Monday night and the service was fast and very friendly. This spot is way better than the other Thai places in fenway so Will def go here again!!

Ordered crispy spring rolls as an appetizer and they came out so hot and fresh! Very yummy, definitely recommend. The food was good, honestly it was very similar to other thai restaurants!

Finally went in person and it was sooo delicious! Their restaurant actually had quite a bit of space compared to other spots nearby, so I wouldn't expect to wait long (however I also came during off hours). Rice came with everything and we were so stuffed after eating here. My Siamese twins was sweet and spicy, but not so spicy that my mouth tingled. The sauce went so well with my sticky rice! I'll definitely come here again if I want to be certain I'll be happy with my meal!

I really enjoyed this place. I had the Green Curry w/ Crispy Duck. I like curry but not too sweet so this was a very well balanced dish. We also tried the spring rolls which were also delicious. Overall this is a cozy no frills spot. Re: service, the server was super quick and my water glass was ALWAYS full. Friendly staff too! Will definitely be back

We also ordered the fried rice with chicken which was also quite good and a huge portion too. The chicken wings and dumplings were great! Delivery came quickly. Pad Thai: Just like at Nine Tastes, my first bite was overwhelmed by the strong sourness... According to ChatGPT, American Southeast Asian restaurants may use concentrated tamarind sauce instead of the original tamarind-infused water, or reduce the sugar to suit American tastes, hence the extra sourness of Pad Thai. Learned something new! The shrimp was very fresh, firm and tender; the rice noodles were stir-fried with a great wok hei 鑊氣(wok aroma), and the portion was huge, but it got a bit oily towards the end. My favorite was the peanuts--they were incredibly fragrant, and not too finely ground, giving them a better texture. Also, a larger plate is really needed; it would be much easier to mix all the ingredients together. Drunken Noodles: The wide flat rice noodles were authentic. The spicy flavor added another layer of wok hei, and the thin layer of chili oil helped retain heat and enhance the aroma. Although a bit spicy, I felt it was the best of the three. Saigon Noodle: It felt like a combination of the two above, with a touch of sweet and sour and a hint of spicy, but neither was particularly prominent. It had a hint of sesame oil, but I personally don't really like sesame oil.

Found street parking easily on surrounding streets. The restaurant is small, with low tables, high tables, and bar seating. The other reviewers are accurate in saying that the table next to you is only a few inches away. For 4 of us, we ordered 2 Thai iced teas, khao tang na tung (rice crackers), jor puu, kai tod had yai (fried chicken), beef massaman, classic pad thai, and crab fried rice. I was not a huge fan of the rice crackers as they tasted a bit bland. Standouts were the crab fried rice and the beef massaman. Jor puu was good, the fried chicken was good, although it seemed less fried and more grilled. Pad thai was average to me as were the Thai iced teas. Overall, was a good meal and we left satisfied and full. But I don't think it was exceptional enough to warrant a month-long waitlist for a normal dinner time, although I'm sure much of this is due to making Bib Gourmand recently. Glad I got to try it once but there are other Thai places I'd be more willing to go back to.

I had never heard of this dish before but it quickly became a favorite in my household and we always order at least one order of it. Basically, it is described as "thin egg noodles with Thai style roast pork, fish balls, chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, and topped with crispy wonton." It is AMAZING. On top of what's listed, it comes with ground pork in the noodles and a sweet and savory sauce that perfectly coats the egg noodles. There are 3 different kinds of fish balls - a shrimp one, a whitefish one, and a fried one, as well as peanuts, deliciously juicy roast pork (char sew), and the crispy wontons add that perfect extra texture and crunch. Man, if I could eat this every week I would. Easily a 5/5 - this is the only place I've seen this dish and it is out of this world. The rest of the menu is also great, but you absolutely have to try the Ba Mee Song Kruang if you come here.
