Even the sauce was missing, sadly, Door Dash only provided a $1.22 credit. My attempt to reach to the restaurant manager the next day was unsuccessful. The person who answered the phone hung up on me after asking to speak with the manager. No one answered during my second attempt. read more

Quick trip into the city and we got a little hungry. Popped into this adorable little spot. The hostess was so sweet when greeting us. They opened at 3 and we got there at 3:01. It was a cold day and she directed us to the seating near the heater (barely felt the heater though). There's limited seating, seems more set up for grab and go or quick lunches. Service was quick and the food was okay, decent flavors, nothing to write home about, just on Yelp. The price point was a bit high for such a tiny portion size. Just had my first taste of my neighborhood thai takeout and I am very satisfied. I only tried the Tom Yum soup which many know to be a hot and sour soup with your choice of chicken, shrimp or tofu and their "Pinto" fried wings which were a flavor bomb. Imagine marinating chicken wings with the same flavors of the hot and sour soup including lemon, lemongrass chiles etc then breading and deep frying them. Really good. As good as any chicken wings in the area including near by Slades. P.S. the lady at the front was so nice and attentive she made the whole experience 110% better. read more

11/11/22 -crispy chicken teriyaki fried rice: got this because a friend suggested it to me and it was so good! it's basically just a bed of egg fried rice topped with teriyaki crispy chicken and scallion. the fried rice was so flavorful, albeit salty. i just wish there were some veggies mixed into the fried rice, to give it more variety. the crispy fried chicken on top was also great; it kept its crispiness even though it was drenched in teriyaki sauce. the portion was definitely enough to split into two meals, so i'd say that the $16 is worth it. (4.5/5) 12/6/22 -crispy chicken pad thai: was a bit more disappointed in this dish only because the crispy chicken just wasn't as good as i hoped. the crispy fried layer was too thick imo, so each bite just tasted mostly like oil. the pad thai on the other hand was so good! sometimes their pad thai is inconsistent, but it was particularly good on this day. it wasn't too oily, and all the flavors blended well together. i do wish that they had added more bean sprouts, but it wasn't a big deal. i kind of wish that i didn't get the crispy chicken since it cost $3.50 extra, and had to end up paying a total of $16. but once again, it's quite affordable when the meal is split into two. My other coworker got the pad thai and said she didn't enjoy it all because it was too sweet. This small and cozy restaurant is located at the Roxbury side of Northeastern University on Tremont Street. The outside of the restaurant is painted in a soft, glowing grass green color that makes it stands out instantly from the rest of the neighborhood. The place serves typical, traditional Asian food. There are a lot of items on the menu with no surprises in their authenticity and tastes. Even though one of the smallest restaurants in the area, this place made me feel like home. It has become my comfort food place. I often find myself drawn to the store for its homey and warm vibe. Case in point- on weekends, when the owner of the restaurant is free, she takes it upon herself to greet the customers and make sure everything goes well. Since I've been there plenty of times, she even remembers my go-to order. I've never failed to see a smile on her face. People say customer service is the key to a successful business. The owner really does a great job to extend her enthusiasm, and I've gotten similar, positive feedback from my fellow Northeastern students. My go-to orders include the pad see ew, duck noodle soup, kao mun gai- steamed chicken with ginger rice and a sweet & spicy sauce. Kao mun gai is one of the healthier dishes in the restaurant. It is not on the menu yet, but you can find its picture on the wall. I also enjoy their Udon garlic noodle, Thai iced tea, and popcorn chicken occasionally. One suggestion I have: maybe consider NOT using plastic boxes as plates; they are detrimental to the environment. Overall- refreshing spot in the Roxbury neighborhood, authentic taste and consistent quality, superb customer service, could use some improvements but overall amazing place! read more

Wow. I work in the area now and am SO glad I found this place. I will be a regular here. Got the Gra Pow and a shrimp Tom Yum soup and both were so flavorful and perfect. Heat and citrus and basil and garlic just smashing you in the face like it should with great Thai food. Bravo! Also the owner couldn't be nicer...she made me feel at home. This place is legit. What a cute little place! The staff are SO friendly and SO attentive. It's a small restaurant, but it's so well organised and beautifully decorated. Love it! The food is quite unique, and I really enjoyed the different approach to spices combinations that they had! In particular, I really like the lemon spicy buffalo wings. That was quite unique in both taste and texture! It's simultaneously zesty sour and spicy with a grilled-fried skin powdered with spicy powder. Yums!! Green Curry: This was on the lighter side of tastes, but I actually really enjoyed it. There was an abundance of vegetables, and the curry was actually a good amount of spicy. The chicken had an interesting texture, but I can't decide if I like it or not. This is definitely a really awesome place to have food with a few friends! I ordered the popcorn chicken mango, coconut fried banana, and Thai iced tea. Some of the best finger foods I've ever tasted. I just wished there was more food for the price. I savored every bite though. The chicken pieces were small and delightfully crunchy. Tasted great even without the mayo sauce. Coconut fried banana was as delicious! 5 thick rolls, about a finger long. I mostly tasted banana (inside roll). The Thai iced tea was okay. I'm not a big fan of Thai iced tea in general, so I've learned after a couple drinks in my life. At least it wasn't too sweet or powdery. I ordered the Mama's tom yum noodle soup and was extremely dissatisfied to find the packaged ramen quality noodle in my tom yum noodle soup. It took me awhile to realize that when the restaurant says Mama's, they meant the Mama brand instant ramen which has MSG and preservatives in it. I just can't even fathom serving packaged ramen noodle with any dish and passing it off as authentic Thai food or even charging more than $5 per dish or even putting it on a menu. I can buy a whole box of Mama brand tom yum ramen noodle for under $8.00. I felt like I was a college student on a budget and eating instant ramen but with a few precooked frozen shrimps thrown in for protein. I am still in shock and it only got worse from there. The chicken and coconut soup was overly sweet. I I tried my best to finish the chicken in the soup but could not finish the soup. I had similar experience with their seared beef salad. It was way too sweet. Neither my husband or I wanted to finish any of the dishes. I am unsure how this restaurant received such high ratings. This isn't the best Thai food I've ever had but this is probably one of the best Thai food places I've had so far during my time here in Boston. While residing in Chinatown, I was craving Thai food but I didn't want to go to Montien or My Thai Vegan so I decided to yelp search a Thai restaurant along the orange line and this place popped up. I went with a friend and we were both craving some Thai food, but I was particularly craving Phad Thai noodles of some sort. The waitress at the restaurant greeted us and sat us after walking 5 minutes from the Orange Line and entering this place. The restaurant is very small with only 3 tables and a counter with 2-3 chairs. The waitress was super friendly as she asked us if this was our first time at this restaurant and how we found this place. We ordered Mama Phad thai and Drunken Noodle, both excellent in flavor and for the price! The Phad thai I ordered was interesting since it was made from Thai instant noodle. She also brought us a sample of their Crab Rangoon as a friendly gesture to welcome us to their restaurant and to try their most popular appetizer. It's a great Thai place by Northeastern University making it super convenient for anyone who lives around Columbus or Tremont area. I always opt for their lunch specials since I personally feel like they are the most worth! You can call in ahead to place an order for pickup, dine in their cute space or order at the restaurant. I've done all three and service was all super prompt! I've had their pad Thai with chicken, their massaman curry lunch special which comes with rice as well as their drunken noodles and Thai iced tea. Honestly all the food is super yummy and you can't go wrong with it! This has become our number one place to order Thai from in the Boston area. The food arrives hot, and the restaurant makes sure the containers are optimal for the food they have; things that should stay crispy have a little venting hole so it doesn't get soggy on the delivery over, and dishes like drunken noodles are kept tightly wrapped for maximum heat and humidity. Hidden gem tucked behind some Northeastern dorms - would recommend for anyone in the area, especially students (yes, they do take Dining Dollars!). I ordered the 'Crispy Tofu Basil' for the entree as part of our to-go order. Please note that the 'basil' in the title is extremely misleading. There is NO basil in the entree but a couple of very sad looking kale stems in the curry. The fried tofu pieces were big triangular pieces and looked very unappetizing. I love the food here the pad Thai delicious, pinto wings have a good crunch, the flavor I describe as like salt and pepper and lime. It's an aquired taste but I like them. The mango fried rice is so delicious and they used fresh sounded mangoes. So delicious. The superior duck was good too. We ordered the massaman curry, coconut fried rice, and the mango sticky rice for dessert. massaman curry is on the sweet side. It's creamy and rich and it was good with the rice. Coconut fried rice had coconut flakes on the top and it was savory and good too! The highlight for me was definitely the mango sticky rice. It was gooey and sweet. Just the way I like it.
