Very quick and efficient Thai takeout place. The price was great, and the food was enjoyable, but it wasn't anything over the top amazing. I ordered for takeout in person and was given my food very quickly, which was a plus. I got: Crab Rangoons - These were great! The filling is nice and creamy but also has a subtle flavor of imitation crab. There's a lot of places that just fill these with cream cheese, but you could definitely taste some of the seafood flavor here. I wasn't crazy about the pineapple dipping sauce, however. It didn't taste sweet enough for me, but that was fine because I actually preferred these without any sauce. Pad Thai - This wasn't great but wasn't terrible. The noodles were a bit bland, but they still did have some of the pad thai flavor to them, and I think they only cost $12.95 or something along those lines. It's pretty rare to get a meal for that affordable of a price, so I didn't hate it, and there were a lot of other similarly priced dishes on their menu. All in all, it is a solid 4/5 - there's a lot of affordable items on their menu and I'll definitely be back to try some of their other noodle dishes and fried rice! First the pros: Great food, good portions, fair pricing! I love the Pad Thai here and pretty much any noodle or rice dish. There are plenty of tofu and vegetable options which is great and it's tasty. The dishes have been consistent and are always hot when you get it. Cons: It takes forever! I have ordered here through different avenues and the wait time is always longer than it estimates. The most recent time I ordered on UberEats, walked there for about 20-minutes when my order was estimated to be ready, and ended up waiting a total of 45 minutes before my food was finally ready. I get a bit of a slow period but I wasn't expecting to wait that long for my one item. They can get pretty backlogged on orders I guess. read more

I've lived in brookline for 3 years now and have seen a few thai places come and go. giggling rice has been around the entire time, and they've been consistently good. i really like the panang and massaman curries w/ tofu, and i appreciate that they'll actually make it spicy for you. the drunken noodles and pad thai are pretty good too, but i think their spicy fried rice is really top notch. the service is good- they're friendly and quick. the store itself is pretty small so i wouldn't recommend eating there, the atmosphere gives to more of a takeaway dynamic. all in all, i'd definitely recommend if you're looking for some solid thai food read more

I should've known that it would't taste good from the look of jt. Finding the bean sprouts in the dish was like going for treasure hunt. A lot of Thai places use too much soy sauce so the noodles are drenched in salt. This place strikes the perfect balance. (I also like the range of vegetables -- broccoli, carrots, and zucchini!). When it's a slow day, you can order in person and have your food ready within five minutes. But when it's a rainy day around dinner, expect 10+ drivers waiting to pick up takeout orders. If you're looking for a solid Pad Thai spot, you have to give Giggling Rice a try! It's my go-to spot here in Boston. They have a large menu with appetizers, soups, fried rices, Pad Thai, curry, and other noodle dishes. There is something for everyone on the menu. If you want a genuine, native meal- they have a small selection on the menu. It's the first place I've seen that offers this. I'll have to try a "Native" dish on my next visit! They also have a solid Chef's Special menu. To start off, we always order the Crab Rangoons. They are some of the best I've had. Perfectly made, not overly greasy. The filling consists of crab stick and cream cheese. Our favorite is the Pineapple Sauce served with the crab rangoons. It pairs perfectly with the Rangoons and I honestly wish I had the recipe. It's incredible and completes the appetizer. You get quite a few Rangoons, plenty for two people to share. They're very generous with portions here. The main course for us is always the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai. The Pad Thai is prepared with stir-fried rice noodles, bean sprouts, egg, peanuts, and scallion. You can also order it with just chicken, shrimp, or beef. I have to deduct one star as they do skimp a bit on the protein added to the Pad Thai. My entire order had three shrimp. It was also a bit short on chicken. They would have gotten five stars otherwise. The portions are very large and plenty to feed two people. If you order the Pad Thai, pay close attention to what OPTIONAL "spicy level" you choose. You can also get it without any heat, which is what we do. I ordered the "Mild Spicy" once- it was so spicy it was inedible. And I have a very high tolerance for spicy food. The plain Pad Thai without heat is phenomenal. If you're looking for a solid Pad Thai & Noodle spot, you have to give these guys a try! It's always packed perfectly. The order is always accurate and piping hot upon delivery. Their amazing Pad Thai keeps us coming back over and over again. I'd love to give 5-Stars, but the protein portion of the Pad Thai was very skimpy. If they can improve on that, I'll be even happier. Hi! So I ordered take-out for the first time tonight. The food was of incredibly great quality and my delivery was super fast. With that said, I asked for extra spicy, which was an option on one of my dishes, and all that apparently entailed was a huge smattering of raw red chili pepper flake. I had presumed that the extra spicy would've meant that the seasonings and spices in general would've been spicier, not that there would've been a dump of red chili pepper flakes. I used to live right on Beacon St, conveniently right on the same block as Giggling Rice, so I came here often. Me and my father had gone here for lunch a couple times as well. Never any complaints. But, I must say, the last time I came here, I had a particularly offensive experience. I was exhausted and it was late evening, and I stopped in for some much needed food! It was very busy, it was a Friday night, the place was swarmed with Uber Eats drivers, and other food delivery service people. When I was handed my food after waiting for a little bit-which was no problem as I was understanding that they were clearly very busy. I was a bit shakey, as I probably literally was starved! So I set my takeout food & Thai Tea drink (which by the way they charge $4.95 for!) on the table which I had sat down at while I waited for my food, and by total mistake, my Thai Tea drink ended up landing on the floor! I was extremely upset that this had happened, and was also somewhat embarrassed as well, and felt badly that I had made this accidental mess. The woman immediately came over and told me that she would clean it up and was pretty insistent about it. I asked her politely if she could possibly get me another one, as it was clearly a fluke accident! But that was where I ran into trouble. So after asking again, as well as several other, subsequent times if she could get me another tea, which I already felt uncomfortable, kind of asking, she told me I must pay for a new one! Mind you, this is a $5 drink we're talking about, and I was expected apparently to spend $10?! I told the woman I didn't understand why that was needed, as I again reminded her it was just an accidental mistake, things happen. At which point I was almost treated as if I was accosting the poor woman or something because that's when the big boss lady came out from the kitchen. I explained to her what was going on very calmly, and again, she said the same thing, that I would be charged for a second tea, that they couldn't just "make me another one". It probably costs them about 25 cents to make one of these $5 tea drinks, as it is. And I was inside of the business, & was a customer! I continued to press them, because I felt like it was totally within reason, my simple request. Eventually, the woman finally said, "OK WELL JUST THIS ONE TIME, EVER! OK??" and I thought to myself, I'll never let myself spill anything ever again! Be that there, or anywhere! Nor, after this experience, probably ever come in there again either!
