    Chicken Momos

Came in to bridges as we were craving something a little different for dinner. The food was made fresh to order so we took a walk to the beach while we waited for our food to be cooked. The space has a lot of plants which make it feel very home-y in side. The chicken tikka masala was great but I'm a fan of spice so I could have used a little more heat. The momo dumplings were delicious - highly recommend adding to your meal.

One of the best Nepali/Indian style dinners I've ever had! I always order the chicken tikka masala, Somosas, and Momos. I highly recommend that if you aren't familiar with this cuisine or are looking to try something good!!

    I was given samples Excellent‼‼

This is an exciting new taste for Winthrop. A pleasant storefront across the street from the general parking lot. The restaurant features rice bowls soups grilled chicken tikka A bunch of salads all served quick also available for takeout. The staff was very willing to inform you on the food they actually gave me samples which was great. Everything tasted fabulous‼ Very happy to have this on my way home it'll be a great little addition to the few restaurants in Winthrop. I give Bridges Nepali Cuisine a Solid 4 Stars.

Delicious! Couldn't have been more excited when this place opened. It's the perfect fast casual set up that lends to efficiency, not too many options to choose from, some familiar favorites along with new dishes to try. Not sure if you'll enjoy a dish? They let you try whatever! Their grilled chicken tikka is the perfect blend of robust flavor with a lighter curry sauce over steamed basmati topped generously with cilantro, curried veggies if you please, red onions and jalapenos. You can also get it even spicier with their house-made hot sauce that comes on the side. Other things I love include their vegan, vegetarian and chicken & rice samosas which are HUGE. One is plenty and two would make a tasty lunch. It comes with a sweet sauce which I personally don't love because I'm all about the spicy but I bet a blend of this with their hot sauce would be glorious. The Hakku Chuala is also great, super spicy and has less sauce as well if that's not your thing. Also, drink (non-alcoholic beverages) game and prices are on point!

Soooo happy to have a new restaurant in Winthrop that is serving something different than the usual grub around town. We often have to drive into Boston for good ethnic good. This place totally delivers great food! Small limited menu, but quite delicious. People often feel it may be too spicy, but not all the dishes are. Even my 5 year old enjoyed it. We cannot wait to return.

Rice bowl with chicken and vegetables with lentils and spiked with fresh cilantro and freshly cut red onion. Delicious!!!

I agree, wish they would bring back the rice bowls. Ordering the chicken tikka with veggies and rice is just not the same, without the lentil sauce, red onion and salsa sauce which make the rice bowl unique and something that none of the other Nepali restaurants have. Not sure why they would remove their best item but the rest of the stuff is still good it's just that the old rice bowls were breathtakingly good. Still strongly recommend this place the best tastiest food and healthiest in town.

The restaurant was comfy; there was an electric fireplace on the wall which made the room feel homey. We got fried pork momos, which were delicious and juicy. I was interested in trying the C-style, but we had a non-spice eater at the table. I got the pork chili from the appetizer menu and garlic naan for my meal, and my companions got the chow mein and sekuwa. The chow mein looked standard and sekewa was grilled chicken served with puffed rice (looked like rice krispies). Everyone was happy with their meals, but I especially loved mine. There were slices of pork belly in a flavorful sauce with tomatoes, onions, and bell peppers. Note that the pork belly still has the skin on it (which I personally love). My only complaint was at medium, the food seemed mild, but I'll be clearer of my spice preferences next time. I would definitely come back specifically for the pork chili!

The dipping sauce was good as well, possibly a mint-like flavor. The pork momos were really good too, with nice crimping on the skin and decent fillings inside. The chicken vindaloo was decent, though I might have liked more specificity to the flavoring of the vindaloo. The potatoes were nicely textured. The chicken bites were a bit large, they could have been chopped up a bit. The gorkhali khasi (a goat curry) was fairly decent with tender nice pieces. The flavoring was oversalted and again could have used a tad more definition. The bone-in aspect was appreciated as it held the flavor of the meat. The bhindi masala (okra) was fairly successful with a solid infusion of flavor into the okra. The dish was overall too oily though and some steps need to be taken to minimize the oil. All in all quite enjoyable!

I can deal most often times but this night my mouth was doing its own thing & my lips were on fire, LOL But still ate the whole thing because the flavor was spot on and I was just unable to stop shoveling it into my mouth. We got there mid afternoon and the place was not busy. We greeted and seated almost immediately. It was a super pleasure to have Sandesh as a server and what a super nice and helpful man. Not only did he treat us well but also explained a lot about Nepali food and culture as we asked. He checked on us often as his way to make sure that everything was going well and if we had any questions. I learned that water buffalo(buff) is one of the favorite proteins in Nepal. We were informed that they get the meat from a farm in NY and that they like to keep to authentic flavors. For an appetizer we went for the buff pan fried momos. We had both spicy and non-spicy dipping sauces since I prefer non-spicy. I found the sauce delicious and the buff to be an interesting protein that I would try again. For my main course I went for the chicken thali after learning that it is one of their traditional meals. You get a little bit of everything including dessert - a delicious greek yogurt mixed with green cardamom and coconut. Our server mentioned that if we wanted anything extra (except for the protein) that they would be happy to bring it. We had tons of leftovers because we tried several dishes and asked if we could have more rice and they provided a complimentary container when our food was packed. Place is super clean and has beautiful Nepali decorations. Even your bill is brought in a wooden box with Nepali carvings. There was soft music playing in the background. We were curious about the hot pot tables but were informed that they were left by the previous restaurant but that they don't offer hot pot. The women's bathroom is cleverly decorated with Nepali scenes and has a beautiful authentic faucet. Our server informed us that on Wednesdays and Thursdays they offer what he described as Nepali street food. Selected dishes are $5 except for a a whole fried fish that is $10. We might have to check them out one of these days. An overall great and unique find!

This is due partly to another party ahead of us not leaving promptly, but I think the restaurant could have been ready ahead of us as well. I will admit that I enjoyed the ambiance - it had nice low lighting with contemporary decor which made a nice dinner spot. The service in terms of both the waiters and kitchen did not feel timely either. It took a while for drinks to arrive and there were barely any water refills in general. We ordered four different dishes on our side of the table and they were somewhat bland. The vegetable momos definitely need some kind of sauce since they were lacking in flavor. We also got a curry chicken thigh, beef noodles, and butter tofu. I think only the beef noodles had a good enough flavor profile and kick to them. I was also surprised that the portion sizes weren't close to what you would expect for the price. I think with so many good south Asian spots in the area, it's hard to recommend Martsa.
