    drunken noodles
    Hugh Jass H.

I liked this place! We got drunken noodles, a noodle soup (I don't remember which one) and shrimp pad Thai. It was all a satisfying meal after touring BU and Berklee. We enjoyed it. The shrimp tasted fresh and slightly crispy and the noodles were very flavorful. The food came very fast, which we were pleased with and prices aren't bad at all! Our waitress was very kind and willing to chat with us. The location of the restaurant is convenient and it has a comfortable feel inside.

I was at the nearby Boston University campus to act in a student film and on my way back to my car, I decided to pop in for dinner before braving Boston traffic on my way home to Rhode Island. So glad that I did because not only was the food absolutely delish, I had to double check that I was still in Boston because the prices were so reasonable! My server was a pure delight, too!

I was surprised to see this place only had three stars, I loved the dishes I ordered. I ordered pick up and was not disappointed. The portions were huge and not super expensive - I was able to enjoy my noodles over the course of three meals. I ordered the veggie drunken noodles with fried tofu and scallion pancakes with a peanut sauce. The drunken noodles were delicious, the fried tofu soaked with the sauce was an explosion of flavor. My only wish was it was a bit spicier. The scallion pancakes were crisp and I strongly recommend getting the peanut sauce on the side, the combination is great!

The reviews on Yelp don't reflect this, but I actually prefer Noodle St to Nud Pob for their Pad See Ew, the one time I tried both (in the same week too lol). The noodles were not broken up or over cooked, the sauce was familiarly sweet and salty, there was a good amount of broccoli and tofu, and all in all was a good portion size. I did find a piece of chicken in my vegan noodle dish though, which was very sad to see but I am not allergic at least. It got very very busy right at 12:15, but we were still served pretty promptly and service was good. All of my friends also enjoyed their meals, though the fried rice was noted as very spicy. All in all will definitely be back, though hopefully there is no more food cross contamination.

I got the spicy miso ramen and didn't like it. I felt that it was very bland. The pork was also over cooked and it didn't include an egg- I thought an egg was standard in ramen dishes? I tried my friends pad Thai. It was sooooo good. I will be returning here to have the pad Thai dish! The service was just ok, this was because they were very understaffed. It looked like 1 cook and 1 server for the entire restaurant rom what I could see. Seems like a cool spot for BU students.

I've been visiting Noodle Street on and off for 13 years, I realized recently. I don't live in the area anymore, but it holds such a sweet spot in my memory that I always go back if I am nearby. I went recently, and am happy to report that nothing has changed over the years, and the noodles are still top notch. I've eaten so many different dishes here, which is easy to do given the variety of their menu. You can build your own bowls, or choose curry, or (my favorite) the duck noodles! Have I had better, yes? Do I still come to Noodle Street, you bet I do. What I'm saying is that this place is by no means the best Asian food you'll get. Their menu is completely overwhelming and the space is sparse. Service is efficient and otherwise unremarkable. But they're reliable, and solidly good at what they do.

They charge you $5 for a bowl of extra noodles! If that is not a scam I don't know what is. Food is quite mediocre. I got boat noodles, but the broth had no taste. The vegetables that went in were uncooked, so I had to chew on hard carrot pieces with the noodles.

Good food, but portion is a little small for the price. Overall taste is great. Here is a picture

Noodle street is a BU classic, I go here when I'm craving Asian food and don't want to travel very far as I live a 5 minute walk from here. I have discovered that dine in the food quality to me feels better than when I order take out. I will typically get the Tom yum pad Thai with tofu or chicken, very satisfying

    Inside

The noodle is not a noodle for ramen. It's udom. Too over cooked. Soap is lower average. Not bad. But I won't come back, ChaSyu: think slice type. Hard type. This is also not bad. Conclusion: if you want really Ramen ASAP. Maybe this one is good shot. But if you have 10min more, go get another one.

Yumo!!! Very affordable best placed to eat if you are Thai food fan! And for the cost! You cannot be this deal. This is ideal for anybody who is attending school at bu or if you're a resident around the area. You will not be disappointed. The portions are very generous great bang for your buck!

Found egg shells in my pad thai today. Called to let the restaurant know and received no response or any sort of remorse on their end at all. Not even a refund.

The restaurant was casual, but nice, and had several other tables of diners at that time. The staff was very friendly, as well. The menu had some really interesting dishes that I had not seen elsewhere, but I was lame and ordered my usual - Chicken Pad See Ew. I found the poultry to be very tender, and the included broccoli was fresh and crisp. I should note that the broccoli used was the popular Calabrese kind, while Chinese broccoli cost $1 more. In fact, there were several upcharges scattered around the menu, which was a bit much. Anyway, back to the dish...In addition to the broccoli, carrots were also included, which was not typical for Pad See Ew, but I was fine with it! The sweet soy sauce was a bit thick, like a light gravy, so that was a bit unusual, but the flavor was terrific! I heard reasonably positive things about their Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles as well. Thaitation would be a place I would frequent if I lived in the area.

Noise levels were low for most of the meal, but at one point turned up to blast a rendition of "happy birthday" for another guest - after that, music stayed a bit too loud, which seemed to clash with the otherwise calm ambiance. They didn't ask for our preferred spice levels for the main dishes, and I would've liked everything a little bit spicier. We originally wanted the salmon spring rolls but they were out. We got Tod Mun (fried fish cakes) instead, and they were really tasty. They were smaller but greater in quantity than what I've seen elsewhere, and the sauce was good. I'm not a huge fan of the side salads, though this one surprised me with the spiciness in the dressing. We ordered the mango curry (which comes with chicken, and we added steamed tofu for no charge) and tofu drunken noodles. The noodles were really good, plus looked more appetizing than the similarly-popular pad thai. I was hoping the mango in the curry would be large, beautiful pieces of sweet mango on top, so I was a little disappointed that the small chunks weren't quite as flavorful as I was hoping for. However, I was still quite happy with the dish overall. It also comes with a (pretty small) bowl of rice on the side. The food by itself would be 4 stars for me, except that at the very end of my meal, as I was polishing off the curry, I found a long hair stuck to the bottom of my plate. It didn't match ours, so I know for sure it came from the staff. I know it happens, but the ick factor is hard to get over. Knocked off a star for the unfortunate hair.

I've had a few…read moredifferent things here that hit it out of the park every time, but the biggest reason to keep coming back here is that they have a dish I've never seen at any other Thai places: Ba Mee Song Kruang. I had never heard of this dish before but it quickly became a favorite in my household and we always order at least one order of it. Basically, it is described as "thin egg noodles with Thai style roast pork, fish balls, chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, and topped with crispy wonton." It is AMAZING. On top of what's listed, it comes with ground pork in the noodles and a sweet and savory sauce that perfectly coats the egg noodles. There are 3 different kinds of fish balls - a shrimp one, a whitefish one, and a fried one, as well as peanuts, deliciously juicy roast pork (char sew), and the crispy wontons add that perfect extra texture and crunch. Man, if I could eat this every week I would. Easily a 5/5 - this is the only place I've seen this dish and it is out of this world. The rest of the menu is also great, but you absolutely have to try the Ba Mee Song Kruang if you come here.
