Andrea is a rockstar bartender at Thirsty Lion. The food is out of this world and the drinks are delicious. The ambiance here is 5 stars creating the atmosphere you are looking for any time and day of the week.

Pretty good happy hour. Went with the pear & prosciutto flatbread which was great. Also did the salmon crab cae based off the bartenders suggestion... it was ok. Suggested cucumber gin was ok also.

Always a good visit to this location. We went for Veterans Day. Appreciate what they do for our vets! It was busy without being loud. Had a trainee server leaning the ropes. Service was indeed good. I may be boring, but I went for my Kimchi fried rice again. Was great as always.

2nd visit was great! We sat at a normal table this time and it was a lot more comfortable. Our waitress was nice and our food came out quickly. We started with the Ahi Poke Stack for an appetizer. It was DELICIOUS. The tuna was fresh, and all of the other flavors were on point. The wanton chips are my favorite, super crispy. I ordered the Brussels sprouts, quinoa, and roasted chicken salad (so did my sister-in-law), my brother ordered the Spicy chicken and waffles, and they ordered my nephew fish and chips. The food was great all around. I loved the freshness of the salad, especially the dried cranberries. I tried the spicy chicken and it was soooooo good. The batter is light and crispy, not too spicy, and the maple syrup really completes the flavors. I will definitely try that at our next brunch. I didn't try the fish and chips but my nephew loved

This place has some special people working there! We walked in at 10:52 on a Friday night looking for drinks and an appetizer. We didn't realize they closed at that time, because it's kind of rude to walk into a restaurant right before closing time. But they were so nice and said as long as we order before 11 that we would be fine. Plus it was still busy which says a lot! We had a couple glasses of wine and the bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp and a spicy tuna roll. They were both just what we needed after a long stressful drive. The place was hopping with some music and several tv's!!

I've seen this place a lot and decided to try it today. Didn't need a reservation as the restaurant was steady but still available seating. It's pretty big inside with a huge bar in the middle. The patio area was also a decent size as well. Table tops were clean but the seats were still a bit dirty. Riley, our hostess was taking care of us. She was very attentive and gave us her top choices to choose from. They do have happy hour EVERYDAY which is a plus for me! 3-6p daily. I had the HH artichoke dip, along with a HH blood orange margarita, and HH california roll. I'm a spinach dip girl so I loved it! Wasn't overly cheesy like other dips can be. Blood orange margarita was just okay. The flavor of the drink was flat to me. Also, I've had better sushi rolls. To me it tasted like it wasn't made fresh. My main meal I tried an item off the summer menu which was hot honey, sausage, calabrese salami & pepperoni flatbread. It was definitely my highlight along with the artichoke dip. My friend also shared with me the deep fried pickles she ordered. Now those were also good! I would come back because the vibes were low key, prices are reasonable for a quick happy hour meal, and I also want to try their brunch menu.

Had a really flavorful Spicy Sausage & Prosciutto flatbread. A little on the small side for the price paid. But very tasty. The place was busy for a Wednesday. Ambiance was pretty lively, service was good and friendly. I'd consider coming g back. But it's a little pricey for what you get.

On the left spicy grapefruit drink (not on the menu) and blood orange marg (meh)

I wanted to try the corned beef hash for brunch but they took it off them menu and they won't serve it anymore. So I had the breakfast sandwich which had good flavor but the bread was very chewy. The chicken and waffle was just ok and not much flavor. You definitely need the syrup because it is very dry.

Always good for a nice lunch! It was a lot more packed than usual but I attribute that to playoff season. They rotate menus so it seems like there's always at least one new item to try. A bit lively, so don't expect a quiet romantic destination.

We came here for brunch. I don't know why this place doesn't have more stars! For one, their black beans are actually seasoned/flavorful. My bf had breakfast tacos and it came with a side of black beans, we are scarred from black beans by multiple establishments in Southlake, so we were impressed with the black beans and they had pieces of bacon in it! My Bloody Mary was perfectly spicy and so were my chilaquiles. The perfect amount of crunch, spice, avocado and of course black beans! The theme is very pub like with low lighting and black/dark furniture. It was super clean when we arrived and not busy. The space felt very open.

With a spacious covered patio overlooking a green space, Thirsty Lion is an excellent place to meet for drinks and snacks. If you're looking for dinner, unfortunately the food is just meh. Let's start with the good - an excellent draft and cocktail menu with wine by the glass. Appetizers are also solid, although our portion of calamari was tiny for the price. I ordered the so-called pork belly ramen - except it wasn't really ramen, but some kind of flat noodles. It had some nice toppings, spoiled by an obnoxious fake smoke flavor. My companion got the fried chicken Mac and cheese. It sounds like Southern cooking heaven, but the fried chicken pieces were served whole on top of the cavatappi pasta, making it awkward to eat. Service was friendly but glacially slow.

Do they show sports on their TV's? When I went there all they showed was music videos.

Every time I've been there, which is many, sports have been on. Watched soccer, football, baseball and basketball. Maybe there were no games on when you were there???

    Is the patio dog friendly?

We haven't taken our dogs there yet but according to the manager we talked to, the small patio facing ALOFT is dog friendly and the other larger patio is not. We plan to be up there a lot with our two dogs!

Fantastic Nepalese/Indian cuisine on Main Street!…read more We stopped by Karma and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is large with a nice bar area and the service was very friendly and efficient! Apps: Chili Momos (Veg) and Gobi Manchurian - the momos were super crispy and the sauce was very spicy in a good way! The Manchurian was so saucy and packed with flavor. Recommend both! Mains: Himalayan Thukpa, Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta - the Thukpa was the highlight! The broth was perfectly salty with a great umami taste. The Malai Kofta was rich and I enjoyed the cheesy koftas. The Palak Paneer was tasty, but I enjoyed the malai and thukpa more! Dessert: Pistachio Cheesecake - delicious! More like a pistachio ice cream cake, but it was so good and not too sweet! I love the drink concept because it allows for folks to try a little bit of various options ... which they do have a number of local options on their wall. This is what I would return for, and bring friends to tet before we end up at another activity. Food wise: got a smash burger which came with fries, which if I order it again I'd probably change cheeses and ask for some pepper to season the fries a bit more ... all personal preferences... but was ok for something to eat to off set the two drinks I had while there. I also got some tacos to go for my husband. Again personal preference, he would have liked more seasoning/spice on the actual meat of the taco vs being as reliant on the salsa. So, on our next visit we might just stick with shareables/apps with our drinks.

The portions are also huge Our server was wonderful from start to finish. He was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often without being overbearing. The service was honestly the best part of the experience. We started with the Sichuan calamari, and this was easily the highlight of the meal. It was perfectly crispy, the glaze had just the right amount of sweetness and heat, and the seasoning gave it a nice kick without overpowering the calamari. It was one of the best calamari dishes I've had and definitely raised my expectations for everything that followed. Next was the tenderloin bruschetta, and unfortunately this one just didn't work for me. The flavors didn't come together, and it was much saltier than it needed to be. It felt like there were too many things happening on the plate without much balance. I wouldn't order it again. For the entrées, the Chilean Sea Bass was very good. The fish was flaky and cooked well, the risotto was creamy, and the sauce brought everything together without being too heavy. It was one of the stronger dishes we ordered. The lobster stuffed ravioli was another solid choice. The filling was generous, there was plenty of lobster on top, and the vodka sauce complemented everything nicely without taking over. It was rich but still well balanced. We also tried the New Zealand rack of lamb. This one had mixed reviews at our table. It wasn't as tender as I was hoping, but I didn't dislike it and again I didn't love it! The blackened exterior and the wine reduction gave it good flavor, but it just wasn't particularly memorable. My favorite entrée ended up being the tomahawk pork chop. The pork itself was juicy, flavorful, and cooked really well. I wasn't a huge fan of the pineapple bourbon glaze since I didn't think it added much to the dish, but the quality of the meat made up for it. We also had the strawberry spinach salad, which was fresh and a nice lighter option alongside all the richer dishes. Then there was also a side dish with green beans and almond and again no complains there. Overall, I left feeling a little conflicted. The service was outstanding, the atmosphere was great, and the portions were very generous. The food itself was a mix of really good dishes and others that completely missed the mark. After such an incredible start with the calamari, I expected the rest of the meal to be on the same level, but it just never got there. I'm glad we tried it, but I don't think it's a place I'd rush back to.
