Thirsty lion is a new hotspot in the Colleyville Euless area and offers a luxurious atmosphere. Between 6-8 it's very busy and is almost always packed. I have been here a few times with family and I can definitely say some servers are better than others. First time had a young girl that seemed clueless and forgot/ messed up half our order. For 200$, service should be on point. However, Thirsty Lion redeemed itself with my next 2 visits when we tried varieties from the drink menu served cold and presented perfectly. We have been eagerly waiting for this location to open. They opened Tuesday Dec 4th and we went to check it out for dinner on Thursday the 6th. We were quoted 30-35 minutes since we didn't have a reservation. We waited at the bar for about 25 minutes before they called us, despite there being several open tables. We think they probably just didn't want to overwhelm the servers and kitchen. While waiting at the bar, I had a Raspberry Drop and my husband had a Kona Longboard Draft. The Raspberry Drop was served in a martini glass, had just the right amount of vodka, and was delicious. We had a free appetizer coupon that the restaurant passed out at Glade Parks Fall Fest, so we decided on the Bacon Wrapped BBQ Prawns. They were yummy, but not something we would be willing to pay full price for in the future. We'd probably get them for happy hour price on another visit. For dinner my husband had the Bacon Mac. It was a good size portion and was some of the best mac n cheese we have had, but only had like 1 strip of bacon on top. I had the Tuscan Romano Chicken which was AMAZING. The breading on the chicken was so crispy and delicious. The vegetables were brussel sprouts and I think some type of squash pieces? Not your typical veggie blend from other restaurants, but I enjoyed that it was different. The couscous reminded me of a risotto and was great. Overall we had a great first experience and want to return for late night happy hour food and drinks. Pretty awesome that HH is 7 nights a week, so it will give us somewhere new to go on Friday and Saturday nights. read more

My fiancé and I ate dinner here a couple of months ago and really liked the food, staff, and atmosphere. We liked it so much that we wanted to have our rehearsal dinner there. We were in contact with the General Manager Jason Hall. Who has failed in follow up communication, returning a call or email. So about a week ago passed we received an email from Jason passing us off to another Gentleman name Robert. This was almost a week ago and we have never heard from Robert and Jason since. I want to start by saying VISIT THIS RESTAURANT! I came in Sunday for brunch (which was delicious) and it started at the door. There was a gentleman named Hayden that sat us and recommended the fried chicken and waffles (which was seriously the best I've ever had), and even though Hayden was at the front he made me feel welcomed like I was a regular. My servers name was Austin and he was 5 stars. He immediately greeted us and poured our water and was very polite and a great server. My friend got the omelette and everyone had a great time! Ok...it is Mother's Day, but... we had a terrible experience at Thirsty Lion this morning. So disappointing!!! I had reservations for our party of 10. They had our table ready. So far, so good. We ordered. 1/2 our table got our food. 15 minutes goes by...3 more people for their food. 25 minutes and 2 more people get their food. Finally, a full 30 minutes later, the last person got their food. This is not right!!! I was so embarrassed because Thirsty Lion was MY idea. Once everyone got their food, it was fine. Not great, but fine. The waiter seemed oblivious to the error. The Manager never came to check on us or apologize. Overall, a huge disappointment. read more

Love the variety of the menu - and even better that they have a "seasonal" or changing menu. Food is good. Absolutely LOVE the pretzel - keeps us coming back. Atmosphere is good. Got to say, my first visit today was top notch. Went to the new Euless location, had reservations and we were quickly seated. Keely waited on my wife and I and the food was top notch, and service was awesome with a nice smile and a great attitude. Restrooms were clean, cafe and floor/tables were nicely arranged around a very nice bar which was centrally located. I had the Ranchero's and my wife Eggs Benedict and both were nicely presented, cooked to our order and warm when they arrived. I ate brunch here today as a part of their soft opening. The bloody mary was good and spicy. I had the Brussel sprout, quinoa, chicken salad, which was a huge portion that I took half of home. Ok so I have recently been following my gluten free diet my doctor recommended years ago so it has been a little difficult when going out BUT here they have a great gluten free menu AND they said they could modify the seasonal menu items to be gluten free!!!! So I am doing a happy dance in my seat eating the shrimp and butternut squash risotto Litz was super patient with me and so fun. Great server and overall fantastic experience!! LOUD. That's the single-word description that leaps to mind when thinking about the handful of times I've been to Thirsty Lion. No complaints about service or the not-inexpensive menu selection. The beer menu has a seemingly-random sampling of Texas beers from Rahr & Sons, Wild Acre, Four Corners (though they're missing the fabulous Local Buzz from Four Corners) and Shiner (which, okay, is technically a Texas beer, but...), but is missing anything from local breweries like Hop & Sting, 3 Nations, Martin House, Panther Island, Oak Highlands, The Collective -- you get the idea. But, LOUD. Did I mention this place has a decibel level that's seemingly calibrated to the nearby airport? As long as you don't want to be able to hear anyone at your table while you're there (and maybe that's your thing?), or are packing noise-canceling headphones for your night out, Thirsty Lion is pretty okay. read more

Nice place though pricey, most expensive beer I've had since going to Wilhotes and happy hour is a whopping $1:00 off draft. My wife and I ordered lunch and both meals served were incorrect though they were exchanged for the correct items. Being a visitor to the area, we looked at the menu/patio pics and thought would be a great place for Sunday brunch. Disappointing. To start off, I walked in the door and let the snotty little self-important "hostess" that I had an 11:30 reservation. When she acted as though she couldn't find it, I told her I had made it in the car during our drive over. Her response? "I'll go ahead and seat you this time, but we don't seat reservations that we're made less than two hours in advance, just so you know". My question is, why don't you include that on your website, or set your Open Table reservation system to not take reservations that do not meet your criteria? To scold your guests in front of other patrons just doesn't sound like good business to me. I know I'll never come back, just for that reason. A hostess' job Is to GREET the guests. Further, while the food had good flavor, every single thing we were served was brought to the table cold. Hmmm, cold eggs and poor service? No thanks. read more
