This visit was very different than our first visit. The atmosphere was great, the food was stellar, just a good time. Our server, Bessie, was really nice and very attentive. So both visits, our server was good. They definitely don't lack in that area. The Hangover Burger is wonderful. We asked for medium rare on the artisan bun. That's exactly what we got, a juicy medium rare. Great flavor, great burger. As with our first visit, the plain tator tots side are some of the best we've ever had. The tot-chos... these are next level. The queso style sauce is delicious, and it has some flavor to it that really sets it apart. The chili reminds me of Weinerschitzel, and the guac was a really good addition, bright flavor to go with the heavier chili and cheese sauce. We were originally going to give this place another try on a weekday, but coming on a whim during Sunday lunch worked out just fine. Let me start off by saying the food is great and I will be back. There are tons of TVs, making the atmosphere great for watching a big game. Waitress was very friendly and service was good. My burger came with regular tomato already on it but they also have a "grilled tomato" option. I asked for the grilled option and they charged 50 cents for it. Yes it's only 50 cents, but I think it's kinda crazy since my burger already came with tomato. If it didn't come with any tomato and I asked for it, then I would understand an up charge. My bf wanted to try this place a out for a while. We went today and kind hesitated at the prices. Nearly $20 for a burger? Priced range from $15.50 for the all American (a plain, no frills burger), but some were pushing the envelope at 18.50. I get it, the cook the burgers like steak, (red, pink, no color), but I would just go to TX Roadhouse for that. I had the PB&J sliders because I wasn't sure I could commit to a burger. The miche I had was really good for the price but they don't ask which beer you want. We weren't offered the promos and noticed them after ordering. We could have save a few dollars if we did. Cheeseburgers and Cold Beers is a whole vibe. I had the peanut butter and jelly burger and it was fire--sweet, savory, messy in the best way, and just different enough to make it fun. I love when a place takes a chance on something unique and actually pulls it off. The service was great too. Everyone was friendly and on it, which just made the whole experience even better. Add that to the chill atmosphere, a solid bar with plenty of options on tap, and some really good specials, and it's hard not to enjoy yourself here. I haven't made it to Happy Hour yet, but I already know I'm going to because the setup is perfect for it. If you want good food, good drinks, and a place where you feel taken care of, this is it. I had been considering trying this place for a while after they opened, but the relatively high prices had me hesitating. I went today as it was the designated game watching location for Texas Tech in northeast Tarrant County. When I arrived, all I saw was Arizona State colors and I wondered if I was in the wrong place. No, or at least not really. I asked about the Texas Tech section and was told we could go downstairs and around the corner. Nothing said about showing us to a table so I was a little confused. We did find a table and the server was very nice and helpful and answered our questions easily. We ordered drinks and a couple of appetizers. Fried pickles were very good. Be aware the nachos are an absolutely huge pile of chips with lots of toppings. Pretty tasty but it was way too much for two people. We ended up leaving before halftime because it was just very loud and the competing ASU party took a lot of enjoyment away from the event. Why would they host game watching parties for two opposing teams at the same time? (Answer, I learned that this restaurant chain is based in Arizona). We might or might not return. Food was okay. Mediocre for $20 for burger and fries. We spent over $110 for 5 people on burgers. No apps, desserts, or drinks. Seems hefty to me. We had some fries and onion rings. Fries could do some more cooking and onion rings were okay like Sonic's. Water tasted very bad. Our waitress was quick and came often to check on us. I did want to point out, about 5 mins leaving there, our credit card used to pay was pinged for online use at a store we don't shop at. We had to call immediately to deactivate our card. My husband and I came here on Friday night. We pass the restaurant almost everyday on the freeway and thought it would be good to try out. Lots of parking available. They advertised specials outside of the door as well as the hostess stand. The hostess was professional and kind. The wait for a table was about 15-20 minutes, but like most sports bar, the bar seats were available on a first come first serve. There were lots of seats available at the bar. The bartender was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We had a clear view of the beers on tap. I was surpised of the beers on tap. The beers were tasty. Two screens about the beer taps showing two different games was a plus! When I ordered my burger, I asked for it to be pink. It came out well-done. My husband's burger came out pink to rare. There was some inconsistency in the burger patty. Also the knife handles were greasy to the touch. I wasn't very thrilled about that. I came here one night with my 3 brothers. We were in the mood for a good burger not your typical chain burger. One of my brothers suggested this spot and it was phenomenal! We enjoyed every bite the ambiance was perfect not bright lights, just warm and inviting. The service was great, we were able to enjoy our meal with no rush. Frozen Onion Rings. I'll come back to that. First off, the prices are outrageous. $50 for me and my wife to have burgers and fries and one beer. Second, while the burgers were good, the sides are awful. They charged $2.50 to "upgrade" me to onion rings. It came with like 6 onion rings and they were incredibly mediocre. The batter had great flavor but wasn't very crispy. And one in particular was overbattered and not cooked through all the way. Our waitress (not sure her name, I her name said AP or something on the receipt) said "oh yea they are battered and frozen. Sometimes they get like that". Why am I paying $50 for frozen garbage? Stars (see key for details): 3 Pros: Friendly service, food was pretty good, and TV volume was not too loud where you had to raise your voice to talk (they have a lot of them and multiple channels playing). Cons: Expensive. Beer menu. General comments: When you include "beer" in the name of your business and advertise 100+ beers, one might expect a good selection of beer...and you would be wrong about this place. I suspect their beer specialist loves and knows about Lagers and IPAs only as they comprise close to 95% of their beer menu. If you want a Stout or Porter, this is not your place. Honestly, I think they went to a grocery story and grabbed anything that was darker than Miller Lite. They have the obligatory Guinness and Shiner for the "dark beer" crowd and for some reason Zingenbock (aka, Shiner knockoff). They do have Lefthand Milk Stout (seems like the standard "craft stout"), Back Butte Porter, and Breckenridge Vanilla Porter; however, I wouldn't call that much of a variety (in quantity or taste profile). However, if you love Lagers and IPAs, give this place a try...you will love their extensive selection. Side note, even their rotating guest beer was an IPA...I guess they figured they needed more depth in their IPA selection. Key for star rating: 5 stars: Travel worthy - it's a dinning experience worth investing in. I'm already making plans to come back! 4 stars: No tears - your not going to cry (good or bad tears), but you won't be disappointed. This place will always be on my radar, I won't need to look this up next time I'm looking for food. 3 stars: Good - better than average. Positives outweigh the negative. Bottom line: nothing special to warrant the high price. The table server was awesome and probably the highlight of the visit. We arrived during Saturday football, so the restaurant was busy. We received attentive care and the food and drinks arrived quickly. The price of the food is too high for bar food. The hamburgers taste okay, but were over sauced. There's no chance that you can eat the burger without also wearing it. I'm not a fan of over-stuffed hamburgers on undersized buns. I ordered my burger cooked medium, but it arrived well-done. If we return, I won't be ordering their hamburgers. The ambiance is clean with TVs playing all of the games. If you like game-day at the neighborhood bar, this is your place. A little overcooked even though they asked me how I liked it which was slightly pink. It was cooked well beyond that. My husbands burger was under done and was stuffed with cheese so it was not hot. This place just opened and I hope it does well. Appetizers were the egg rolls stuffed with buffalo chicken and it was on the spicier side but very good. Fried pickles were the other appetizers that we had. Batter was good, not too think and the pickles were a slight thicker than normal and it came with a spicy ranch dip. Our table shared the entrees. The buffalo wings were less desirable, dry. The Asian salad was very tasty, cold and refreshing. This bowl is enough for 2! The Lucy goosy burger was a lot of beef and cheese oozing out. Onion rings were good but I prefer a crunchier crust. Tater tots had a nice seasoning on them and again , they were plentiful! The tower of nachos were huge! Enough for 4 easy! Enjoyable "sports bar" atmosphere, with very good burgers and solid draft beer selection. Great choice if you have a large party with varying tastes. We went on a Saturday night. The place was busy but not slammed, and we got seated immediately. Our server, Breona, was great. She introduced us to the menu, promptly took and delivered our order, and deftly handled the balance between being attentive and nagging. I had a build-your-own burger with a pretzel bun, bacon, jalapenos, caramelized onions and blue cheese. I ordered my burger "pink" (pink hue but not bleeding) and the patty came out that way. It was a very good burger, their seasoning is solid, the burger was assembled well (toppings and sauce distributed evenly, it was a win. My wife had a mushroom Swiss burger that was also very good. My side was coleslaw which was fine but could have used a bit more "kick". Fries were serviceable but next time we will probably try the tater tots. Tap selection is very good, with a solid selection of the larger Texas micro-breweries and some out-of-state selections. If you want to see "the game" you will be fine. The place is non-stop TVs showing sports (easy enough on a Saturday night). Volumes are set so that you can easily hear the game but not so loud that you can't hear yourself talk. The restaurant looked to be well run; it was clean and amply staffed. Tables are bussed promptly, staff appears to be friendly with each other, and they are continually busy. Prices are not inexpensive but not excessive either given the location, amenities and level of service. The menu is broad enough to have something for everybody (burgers, sandwiches, salads, mac & cheese and vegan choices). They do have a large selection of drink specials so you can save some money that way. Finally, they do not nag you to rate them, leave a review, join their rewards program, etc. There was just a plug at the bottom of the specials menu to follow them on social media. I find all that stuff annoying and hope that dialing back on the demands for continual reinforcement and loyalty is a trend. read more

Went to dinner with my family. We were excited to try this restaurant. We ordered a couple beers and some food service was great. Our server was super sweet. I ordered a burger, the open pit burger, and asked for a medium rare. My daughter had a cheesesteak and my husband had a prime dip sandwich. All the food came out and it was not very good. The hamburger was overcooked the onion rings that were on top of it were soggy because they were frozen, but they weren't cooked right there was no barbecue sauce on the hamburger hamburger was dry. The prime rib sandwich was terrible. We thought it was actually prime rib, but it looked like frozen steak it was actually white the meat like the kind you get a cafeteria. My daughter got the prime rib cheesesteak thinking that might be good as well and it was awful. The bread was soggy, and it was supposed to have spicy Sauce on it and jalapeños no sauce. The food just really could use some rework presentation wise and taste wise it almost tasted like really bad frozen food again the service was awesome. Ambience is good lots of TVs if you wanna watch a game and have a beer, but the food is so mediocre and not very well priced for what you get. Lastly, when I left, I went to use the restroom and the restrooms were dirty, which makes me think the kitchen was dirty, which I do not like. We used to visit this place in AZ. So happy they opened one here, just 15 minutes away. The burgers are delicious. If I remember correctly the Mac and cheese is also fantastic! We went there on 01/02/2025, the Sugar bowl was just ending, but they had it on all the TVs and the game sound was being played. Excellent environment to watch games. Good new spot in the HEB area if you're tired of the same old same old. CBCB has a great selection both on the food side and the beverage side. There is a large bar area with ample seating both at the bar top and at booths and tables. Lots of draft beers to go around in addition to a full bar and decent wine selection. In our experience, however, the bar tends to be very understaffed for it's size and capacity. Outside the bar area is a selection of booth or table seating. As has been mentioned in prior reviews, the place is pretty much wallpapered with TVs, which is pretty cool. However, the times we've been in there, they've all been set to the same programming or just a couple of selections. With that many TVs, give us some selection! Food is great. The burgers and mac & cheese options are definitely their specialty. The PBJ burger is the best I've had. They also have healthy options plus sandwiches and salads along with appetizers. Not too shabby. Service is spotty. They're always super friendly, but the whole operation seems chaotic. The two observations I've made that tend to lead to this is a lack of communication and not enough staff during peak business times. Probably something to just get worked out with growing pains. Two visits. The first one left a good impression, the second one not so much. The low quality of the second far outweighs the okay quality of the first. The place just feels a little dirty, like it needs a good thorough cleaning. Second, service was off. Seemed the server couldn't remember what anyone was ordering. The beer was good, but we were not asked which size we wanted, which when there are two sizes is a real oversight. The highlight of the meal was the Jumbo Pretzel. It was a little overcooked, but that actually made it a bit better than at other places because it added some crispness. My wife's cheese sliders were good and my daughter in law's CB&CB burger was good. My sone and I each had a Jucy Lucy-fer. These kinds of stuffed burgers can be a real challenge getting done enough because of the stuffing. Unfortunately then were both underdone, which you can't discover until you bite in or cut in and the insides spill out on everything. Since it had taken too long for the food to arrive (waiter issue mentioned at the beginning), we did not want to send them back because it isn't like you can just put these on the grill again for a few minutes. This burger would have to start from scratch again, which then we would be taking a chance of not being done again. So, we just ate around the undone portions and crossed our fingers. I'm seeing some hate on here for this place. However, all my visits have been pretty positive. I've been several times since they've been open. During the week, later in the evening, so I've never experienced it when they're busy. So far I've always sat at the bar. About the worst thing I've had happen is sometimes they're a little slow to service, or I have to ask for napkins or silverware. Otherwise, things have been pretty good. The whole inside seems to be lined with tv's, all on sports. The bar area seems to have even more tv density, so no lack of entertainment. They have a very good draft beer variety going on, at least, thirty taps or so, and of course a full bar. Huge menu, not just burgers but a pretty good selection of other stuff. However, I'd seen people talking about one item online, so I tried it first visit, and so far, it's the only damn thing I get...the Prime Dip sandwich. It seems pricey, about $18, but honestly about what I see as normal nowadays. Comes with one side. But this thing is pretty good sized and I think the prime rib beef they use for it is really good. The other standout is the au jus, which is a little thicker, and "beefy" or whatever. Super flavorful, not just some weak, watery, bland au jus that a lot of places pawn off on the french dips. Be sure and mention to them if you like horseradish. It's a creamy type, not very hot, but not super mild either. Love that stuff, would love it even more if it was a little hotter. The sandwich is great, I'd love to try other things on the menu, but I just haven't gotten sick of it yet. To me, it's pretty great. YMMV. The sides have been pretty good. Garlic parm fries are good, regular fries are pretty good. The onion rings are good, seasoned nice, and the breading stays on when you bite into them, a pleasant surprise. The beer I drink is reasonable. In fact better than average. They also have the large beer option, which is a positive life choice for me. I've seen a few people/reviews mention that prices are high, but I don't see that. Maybe on some of the food, but for what I've been getting, I'm happy. First time there my wife was excited about a burger with the cheese inside. My fault I didn't even look at the menu just ordered one for each of us with a soft drink. $50. Crazy price but my fault. Went back for lunch because the lunch menu is supposed to be reasonable. !0.95 for a good burger and fries. Ok cool the burger was good. Service was a little slow but ok. Bill came and again I didn't look till she brought it back. Hmmm how did this get to $30. Well instead of the $10.95 on the menu they charged 11.95. Look at the menu again and in huge numbers it is 10.95. Waited for the server and pointed it out and she says "oh yes our prices went up but we haven't got new menus yet." No offer to correct or get a manager just tuff luck we charge what we want regardless of what the menu says. None of this is earth shattering but for me I am done with these guys. read more

The service and specials have no place for slander in this review. However, I love burgers and this burger just made no sense. I've seen other people order it online and it was made to seem much larger. I included an accurate size comparison to show how much SMALLER it is in real life. It was missing the buffalo sauce and the cheese is literally so abundant that it's messy to your entire meal after the first bite or cut. I was SEVERELY disappointed but I was so hungry that I powered through. Maybe you'll have a better chance with this entree, but for me, I would have to go back to the drawing board for something different. Burger 2/10. Everything else 9/10.
