The chicken and waffles were AMAZING! Chicken was perfectly cooked and I loved the kick that the spicy rub gave it. When paired with the syrup it was sooooo good! We also had the berry waffle, spinach and feta omelette, and avocado toast pictured below. I am told the berry waffle was also delicious. The reason for the 4 instead of the 5 star is due to the "toast" not being very toasted at all! It was somewhat crisp on the edges but very soft in the middle. I'm definitely an avocado toast critic and this was just very basic and underwhelming. I'm SO glad I was the one who had the chicken and waffles. I do not recommend getting the omelette unless you are a fan of bland food / on a diet of some sorts which in other case might be perfect for you. I loved the bloody marys those were amazing! Management and wait staff was very friendly and was liking that this spot is so close by! read more

Best weekend brunch ever!!! There food isn't priced like IHOP but it's not IHOP quality food either.

Today was a tough day at one of my favorite spots in the DFW area. Came in and was sat fairly quickly as the restaurant just opened. We chose to be seated at the bar and the ladies who who were working the bar were absolutely lovely - Madison and Kaylee. My fiancé ordered her go to meal, the Turkey club sandwich with a Caesar salad and I ordered the Irish Whiskey French toast and I added a side of chicken breast. We started with one of usuals, calamari and it came out extremely fresh. When our entrees came out, my fiancés meal was not complete as the sandwich came out dry as the chipotle aioli that was supposed to be on the toasted bread was not there. When she sent it back, a couple of minutes later the manager brought back a new plate but the sandwich was the same, the cook made the decision to just add the sauce and not remake the sandwich. A few other minor hiccups were addressed as well but I will spare you the details. Still one of my favorite spots, just a rough start. read more

If I I could give this place 100 stars I would!!! I stumbled upon this place on a Thursday met up with a friend we had brunch together. We both ordered the seared ahi tuna bowl. We finished every single bite it is delicious. Then came back the next day with my book club girls we had dinner there we shared the apps the apps appetizers are so amazing and so delicious I cannot really remember what we had because the cocktails were so good we truly enjoyed them but for dinner my main course was the impossible burger..yummy!! Then I had date night with hubby!! We had the risotto and the seared ahi tuna...I'm telling you this place has all the right foods!! Will be coming back for a Christmas party soon. read more

Much better food than you would normally expect from a place like this. Very good menu and lots of options (Try the Scotch Egg!!!!). Good beer and drink menu with Happy Hour Specials. I like sitting outside to avoid the inside noise. They have patio heaters. Nice place to chill after work and grab a beer and some tacos or a sandwich. read more

My friend and I visited a few weeks ago and it was amazing! I had the ahi tuna poke stack and it honestly was like changing. I have been craving it ever since. We also got the raspberry drop cocktail which wasn't as sweet as we though it was going to be but it was still delicious. I would highly recommend eating here and cannot wait to go back! read more

The food is always amazing and so is the service. The location is in a good spot with the parking garage directly across the street so it's super convenient especially on those hot days. The ambience is great, it's always clean, sweet staff and perfect food. No complaints at all. read more

Food was good although fish and chips would have been better with the malt vinegar I asked for twice. Slaw was a little on the bland side. Service wasn't awesome. Waiter might have been new to service. Those that ran drinks, appetizers and drinks for him was the worst. Unpleasant to the point of rude...literally carried scowls on their face. The best salmon I have had in a long time. The menu selection is exceptional and the atmosphere is great.

Started with a specialty drink from their cocktail menu. My fancy G&T was a bit too sweet but my spouses muddled raspberry drink was great. Giant (expensive!) pretzel was good although we both liked the mustard more than the bland beer queso. The spicy chicken sliders were amazing!! Get them!! Joy was a great server -- she never forgot about us even though we were the only patrons on the patio. Loved the patio shade and fans kept it cool. Too bad fountain seems broken. read more

My husband and I have eaten at Thirsty Lion multiple times since it opened last year. To say that today was a complete disappointment, would be an understatement! I rarely write reviews since we frequent the same places most of the time and they are guaranteed great service and food. However, when it was absolutely terrible I feel I need to let others know. We were there for lunch today. We sat at the bar and waited 10 minutes before a bartender acknowledged our presence. When he finally showed up, we asked for waters and a menu. The bartender comes back with two waters and a Bloody Mary. Told him that we didn't order a Bloody Mary and he says "are you sure?" Um yah...I'm sure. Already knowing what we were going to eat, the bartender said he would be back shortly to take our order. Twenty seven (27) minutes later he shows up to take our two orders of which were salads and my husband decided to order a beer. I know it was 27 minutes because the 2019 UEFA game was on and there is a clock displayed on the screen during the game. I asked for the chicken brussel sprout/quinoa salad with no cheese and dressing on the side and my husband ordered the steak salad. Not only did my husband not get a beer (ever), my salad came out with cheese and soaked in dressing. When I sent it back, the server who delivered my salad rolled his eyes and walked off. Not to mention we never once received a water refill. We were there for over an hour. The bar was not completely full and we witnessed two other patrons sit down and leave 15 minutes later when no-one acknowledged them. This is the last time I will dine at this location. Service has never been 4 or 5 star worthy; however, I couldn't let the service today go unnoticed. read more

Husband and I went to dinner with our new neighbors/friends so we tried the Euless restaurant. We nearly fell out of our booth when Rebecca walked up to our table with that 100 watt smile of hers. We do eat at other places but the Thirsty Lion in Irving has never let us down so we gave this one a try. This location appears to be larger. Friendly hostess accommodated our booth request. The food was the same delicious and flavorful here as it was in Irving. The manager stopped by our table here also so I asked Rebecca if this was her doing. She explained that it is routine for managers to stop to greet guests, check on them and thank them. We eat out often and that is not normal at all restaurants. As usual, Rebecca poured on her normal southern hospitality. Wonderful service. We will be back next week for brunch. This restaurant chain never disappoints. read more

Best happy hour spot ever!! They have happy hour every single day, both regular and reverse!! Not only is it on drinks but also on food! I ordered the pork belly tacos & the spicy chicken sliders. The spicy chicken sliders I had to send back because the breading was so hard and burnt. The tacos on the other hand.. AMAZING!!!! It is so flavorful, juicy, and just delicious!! I was sad that the order only came with 2 tacos because it was such a tease! I'm not sure if the regular order comes with 3 or not. Our waiter was also really nice and attentive. read more

I am just not impressed with this place. We've eaten here twice now and it was subpar. Today we started off with the sliders, which have a great flavor but there are only two and the patty is incredibly small. We then had the chicken arugula salad- it was soaked in a dressing that had chili flakes in it. Why a salad dressing has chili flakes in it, I don't know. We were going to order kore but were very disappointed so decided not to eat more. Teas there are $3.50... for a tea! We will not be back. read more

Business trip! Bacon wrapped shrimp was more than adequate. Bacon wrapped anything is good, but this was tasty.. not so fun to pull the tails... the grill charred them, so it was a little messy. I would have liked to see the tails off this time. I ended up ordering the Reuben, and the bread was good as well as the meat. It was a decent representation... The waiter was attentive, not to chatty, and he didnt make me wait long when he saw my drink was low... Do I go there again? Maybe. It certainly was located conveniently. read more

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday and had a $20 Groupon to use. Our table of 4 was sat right away, and it didn't take long before we placed our drink order and food order. My daughter and I split the turkey club with fries, which was plenty of food for the both of us. It wasn't the typical club style, more like a grilled sandwich but it was tasty. My son said his kids Mac n cheese was "okay" and for $7 it was a pretty weak serving size. My MIL had the pulled pork sliders which were too stringy in her opinion. She did note that the sauce was good but the rest was lacking. I would have rated maybe a little higher, but our experience fell apart at the end when our table was forgotten about. We had finished our meal and sat waiting at least 20 minutes before I got our servers attention for the check. She acknowledged my groupon and marked redeemed. Well we continued to wait until my two restless kids couldn't contain any longer and we left cash on table to cover our meal. Never had to do that but our server was MIA. read more

We've had almost everything on the menu, well I'm exaggerating, however my wife and I haven't had one bad tasking meal. Service has always been on point and drinks are great. If it wasn't for the food tasting great I would have given this place a 1 star due to how poor our service was. It was a Sunday brunch but not every table was filled and we waited forever to even get a glass of water after being seated. We finally got our drinks orders taken I had a mimosa my husband an old fashioned both pretty simple cocktails, 30 mins passed no sign of them. Our server disappeared too! Finally she brought me my mimosa, no sign of hubby's drink so he said I will just have a jack on the rocks to make it simple. Another 15 mins past and nothing! In the end I went up to the bar and ordered one myself which I got handed straight away. I then ordered eggs Benedict and he was still deciding by the time she came back brunch was over so he had fish and chips. Again they took almost an hour to come out but tasted delicious. This was our third time here and likely our last. We had a very attentive server, but just couldn't make up for the marginal food. The pork carnitas nachos were piled high on the plate with more chips and cheese than pork. And, like every other place, had to soak the pork in sweet BBQ sauce. Wife's salmon was very salty. We were staying in the Aloft next door and were skeptical of dining at Thirsty Lion due to other restaurants not following protocols correctly. We were so pleased by the covid regulations the Thirsty Lion has. Also 5/5 simply because of our waitress Adrienne. We loved her! Adrienne was incredibly sweet and very helpful to my indecisive choices. She has such a lively personality and we kind of wish we were her friend lol She made the experience so much better and we'll visit again because of her. Food is also 5/5, the pepperoni and four cheese pizza was AMAZING, genuinely tasted like we were back in Italy. read more

Dined here tonight. Initial contact with server was great, but spotty afterwards. Adjacent table also observed the absence. The drinks were good and the brussel sprouts were delish! I was not a fan of the Korean BBQ. It was abundant in oil like the cook was a Halliburton CEO. It made the whole dish soggy. Note to cook: less is more! Server took care of the item so I'm glad she was understanding. I will come back, but I'm hesitant to order the specialties. Nice ambiance, especially for a small group. Valet is convenient. read more
