Favorite casual spot in Savannah that is dog friendly!! All outdoor seating on a deck along the water. Order first at the counter then grab a number. It was the middle of the day so we were just there for a snack but I definitely want to return for lunch so I can order more items. We got the she crab soup and grilled oysters and both were amazing. Seasoning on point and everything was fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for the perfect mix of laid-back vibes and fresh coastal flavors, Wyld Dock Bar is the spot. They deliver the backyard, friend with a dock atmosphere that you didn't know that you needed... or maybe that's exactly what you're looking for! Drink Highlights: The Sangria - Fruity and refreshing The Paloma - Citrusy but missing it's brightness Food Highlights: Oysters Wyld - Fresh, briny, and topped just right. I wanted more Ceviche - Light, zesty, and full of flavor Crispy Local Shrimp - Golden, crunchy perfection. I needed more Crab Roll - Soft, buttery bun packed with crab Crispy Rock Shrimp Tacos - A must-try with the perfect crunch! Hear me out, throw out the ketchup! Don't even look for it. You don't want that on their perfectly cooked fries. Use their house made horseradish tarter sauce as your dip of choice. Whether you're coming for the food, the drinks, or just the view and atmosphere -- Wyld is the kind of spot that keeps you coming back. IG: @thewylddockbar

After seeing this place recommended a bunch we had to go try it out! Perfect spot on the water, you order at the bar and food station and then go find a seat and they bring you your food. They had plenty of seating options and pretty spacious (granted we went on a Sunday evening, probably busier in the peak summer time). Drinks and food were very good. If you're into drinking, highly recommend the painkiller slushie!

What to say that isn't good about this place? I'm from SoCal & was so excited for some good food while visiting GA. And this place did not disappoint: everything from the okra, to the tacos, to the rolls, wow: amazing! The servers and cashier were very very nice, and never rushed us. They were very helpful in guiding me what to order! The view is awesome here right by the dock: definitely a place to come to for that "southern" feel by the water! Honestly would come here more often if I was local! Highly recommend coming here!

The scenery here is breathtaking and very peaceful! My son and I were recommended we come to this place for that reason. I wasn't really sure what to expect food wise. One thing that's different here i wasn't use to was that they wipe your card before you order and they dont close our your tap until you leave. My son ordered a cheese burger and fries. I had a shrimp roll and fries w/ bar drink. I dont remember the name of it. But it wasn't my favorite. The Shrimp roll had a very odd flavor to it. I wasn't a fan of. I would give it a 5 /10. My son loved the cheese burger he said it was one of the best he had. I will say for price I paid for everything the food wasn't worth it.

You drive to the end of a residential area and the restaurant parking lot is in front of you. The place reminded us of our travels of seafood restaurants in New England. A little different service set up. As you walk in you are directed to a place to order your food and drinks. No sit down service. We ordered and got a number and proceeded to the deck with tables. They are under shade and they have fans throughout. We had our two beers to the table quickly followed by our food. We split fried clams, shrimp platter, and fried okra. The clams were fried perfectly and quite tasty. A perfect size to share. The fried shrimp and fries were also good. We got a good serving of shrimp and seasoned fries. The okra was ok. I like more of a batter on my okra. Once done you return to where you ordered and pay. Eating by the water was nice.

Went here with my daughter and her family. Love the setting. It's on the water and the raised planters were a nice touch. The food was ok. My apple goat cheese salad was really small and lacked any goat cheese flavor. The shrimp dishes we had were fresh shrimp. Tasty! They were very busy but the service was ok. Would consider revisiting if in the area.

I recently saw a Tik Tok video about this hidden gem and I knew I had to try it. Initially, the greeting we received wasn't very friendly or welcoming but after speaking with other staff members who were more helpful it got better. It's a bit confusing as a first timer because you pay for your drinks and food up front at a "concession stand" type location and then the server brings your items out. Otherwise no one comes around asking what you need or want. But everything we had was so delicious and the seafood was so fresh. The drinks were even a hit. You can't forget about the gorgeous views, I was able to take some amazing pictures. I will definitely be back!

Food was good but service was sketchy. I had friends in front of me and behind me who ordered and got their food and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes or so to get mine. Was it because I was the only person or color there, I don't know, but it did take my white friend asking about my food for it be brought to me. So you come to your own conclusion.

Such a cool place to come eat, super yummy and fresh sea food! Fun seating area with a great view.

Erica Davis Lowcountry sits on Victory Drive in Thunderbolt -- a town so small it has exactly one square mile of land and a name borrowed from a lightning strike that supposedly split open a freshwater spring on the Wilmington River bluff. The restaurant itself has a similar origin story: a long-shuttered seafood spot called Teeple's, left empty for years, brought back to life by Erica and Dwight Davis with real care. The gaslight sconces out front stayed. So did the bones of the building. The garage doors open when the weather cooperates. We came in late on a Friday, catching the final stretch of their brunch service. Hannah (I believe) was our server -- in training, which you wouldn't have guessed. She steered us well and managed the table (and the room) with a confidence that didn't feel performed. We started with the Barbecue Shrimp and the Oysters Rockefeller. The barbecue shrimp -- Georgia shrimp in a spiced, rich sauce served with toasts -- was good but the one I'd skip on a return visit. The Oysters Rockefeller are the opposite story: roasted, finished with creamed collards and parmesan, and genuinely one of the better bites I've had in recent memory. Order them. My husband had the Wassaw Redfish -- pan-seared over stone-ground grits with garlic beurre blanc and heirloom tomato. Clean, confident cooking. I had the Sunday fried chicken, which delivered exactly what that dish promises when it's done right. Sides of fresh green beans, South Georgia collards, and Erica's Famous Coleslaw held their own across the board. Dessert was the Key Lime Pie, served in a cup that does not prepare you for how good it is. Tart and creamy in the right proportion. We didn't leave any behind. The family's seafood history in Savannah goes back to 1946. You can feel that kind of depth in a kitchen -- not in any one dramatic bite, but in the steadiness of it all.

She expressed that it was her favorite dish and the favorite dish of many customers. The flavors were great, and interesting. The dish had the potential to be an 8/10 or 9/10, but it was so incredibly salty that it was nearly unbearable. The signature dish was a 6/10, maybe, as a result. If it was fine tuned, it could be a great dish. We also had the Fried Green Tomatoes. Very nice. Would order those again. They were delicious. This is a cool spot, and if they dial in their food, it could be epic. Our waitress was a delight also. Really nice service. 3 stars is justified because, in spite of the good things noted, the core element for any restaurant must be their food and if the Shrimp and Grits is their "signature" dish, they should give it the same attention they give other areas that are going well.

However, when a second one emerged from the hallway, my confidence that this was just a one-off incident tanked. By the time our food arrived, our focus had been diverted to be on roach alert. Unfortunately, the food also missed the mark--overly salty and bland at the same time. None of this aligns with The Public I know and love, so I am really hoping this was just an off night. The greeting from our arrival to seating was prompt and very courteous. We got suggestions from the wait staff and started our experience. They have an extensive cocktail and wine list. Very hard not to make it chewy. Great char and sauce that accompanied it. For entrees, we did the Perloo, an amazing interpretation, and a swordfish. Both dishes were immaculately prepared and perfectly sized. We chose a bottle of Loss and Lehn, something we had never tried before but recommended based on what we had ordered. It matched perfectly with both dishes. We also choose items from the pick 3 menu to accompany our entrees. We finished with the best bread Pudding we have ever had nd french press coffee. It's a really pretty, sunny room with a few different seating areas (bar, upstairs, main seating, sidewalk, etc.) just a short Uber (or middling walk) from Downtown. Reasonably priced and totally worth your trip over to check it out. Might be my best breakfast of the year so far, and it's December! Short rib hash bowl was both moist and crispy, just the right side of too salty and had some real zing. Umami, for sure! Yum (my mouth's watering just thinking of it a couple days later)! My wife loved her inexpensive (but perfect) waffle and bacon and her hot toddy was pretty inspired. I grabbed a piece of gingerbread cake for the plane home and that proved to be an inspired idea. Tyla took great care of us, whirling around all the other tables and other staffers. Wow, but the place is hopping. Looking at the inspired menu and especially all the baked goods and shakes, well - right then we made up our minds that we HAD to return to Savannah - to eat more of this! Our server was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. But the food just didn't deliver. I ordered the turkey club (~$20), which was supposed to have honey mustard. The sauce soaked into the bread and didn't taste like honey mustard at all, making the sandwich hard to eat. We also ordered the steak frites (~$30). The steak was overcooked and had clearly been sliced without resting, so it was tough and lacked juice. The chicken and waffles were also underwhelming--the chicken was bland, and the waffle was soggy inside with a strong cinnamon flavor that tasted undercooked. None of us ended up eating more than a few bites of our meals, which was disappointing given how excited we were to try the place. On the positive side, the marinara served with the mozzarella bites was very good, and the ambiance is cute (though the seating isn't the most comfortable). I really hope they work out the kitchen issues, because it would be great to have a solid locally owned diner here. Right now, though, the food quality just doesn't match the prices.
