Low Our Famous Low Country Boil Party Tray, Shrimp Steamin Combo, Fried Fish Tacos

Casual awesome food! The low boil was fantastic and fish tacos were yummy. It's a walk up and order type service so quick and easy

Super tasty quick lunch while shopping in the historic district. Perhaps a tad on the top end price-wise but the portions are plentiful. Seafood was fresh and the smoked sausage was top tier. Our itinerary had a short window to eat and the fast casual service setup ensured we were able to make our meetup. Will definitely stop in again when in Savannah.

Fried Shrimp Po' Boy & Crawfish Steamin Combo

Craving seafood? This is the place! They've been recognized in multiple channels like food network, so definitely take their word for it. My friend and I were lucky to not have a long wait. Once you get sat and decide what to order, you go to the counter to order. We went ahead and ordered the fried shrimp po'boy with sweet potato fries and crawfish steamed boil. The total came out to be around $40 with tip of course. The po'boy and fries were so flavorful; the seasoning was all there and so fresh. The crawfish was good too. It comes with potatoes and 2 corn on the cobs, but it was hard to get the meat out of the tail (I've been told that means it's not as fresh as it should be). But the seasoning was also there, and brought everything together perfectly! Service was good too, and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. Definitely worth the try!!

We opted for fried fish here for lunch. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. My wife loved her shrimp tacos, and my fried fish cone was unique, yet very delicious. There was a large amount of fish in my cone. It was very filling on its own. The coleslaw inside was spicy (had some tumeric flavors) and really counterbalanced nicely with the sweetness of the cone and the tanginess of the shack sauce. The location is casual and relaxed but clean and inviting. Many other diners were eating the low country boil or other fried fish. I highly recommend this for seafood while in Savannah.

Food is delicious! Service is quick + staff work quick to accommodate. Very cute interior too! My daughter and I had the clam chowder, peel shrimp, sweet potato fries + key lime pie. The chowder flavor is delicious. The sweet potato fries were also very good. The pie is good - I really liked the filling. Pricing is typical for a seafood shack/ boil !

This restaurant is brilliant! You are seated, but when you are ready, you go to the counter to order. Fountain drinks so you get at many refills as you wish. Food is steamed or fried. They offer gloves and bibs. My family of 6 was able to eat a variety. Staff were efficient and quick! Clean and easy and very tasty.

Read about the "voted best low country boil in savannah. Had to find out. And yes. Definitely lived up to the name. 2 cobbettes of corn. Lots of shrimp and andouile sausage. Make sure it is deveined and tails off on the shrimp. Very good. Candyce had the chicken tender combo with the sweet potato fries. With hush puppies to share. Very good all around and worth the wait.

This was my first time here and a friend of mine loves this place and wanted to eat here while we were in town. She loves the shrimp tacos and that's what she got, but I decided to get the fried calamari cone and a side of potato salad with a nice cold beer and it was perfect. I do not even generally like potato salad nor do I like coleslaw but I knew the cone had coleslaw in it so I risked it anyway and figured out what the heck and the risk was worth it! Both were really delicious. The coleslaw was mostly at the bottom of the cone and I do wish it would've been spread throughout a little bit better but still it was really really good with the calamari and the waffle cone itself was edible and very tasty. My total was only $20.87 and I don't think that's bad at all for a touristy area with great flavorful food. We were on foot so we didn't have to worry about parking or anything and our wait time was less than 10 minutes in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Staff was really great and made sure we had everything we needed while we sat outside on the sidewalk seating area. I would definitely return. I need to try another fried cone now!

Absolutely delicious!! I was visiting Savannah for the weekend and stopped in for lunch. I split a seafood boil with crab legs and shrimp with my husband. The portion was a bit small for two people and they charge extra for deveined shrimp. Otherwise it was well seasoned and delicious! The jalapeño crab poppers were the best part though - I wish we got two orders! It was pretty busy in a Saturday afternoon around lunch time but we were quickly given a table - turnover of tables seemed quick and you order from the counter. Food came out quickly and service was friendly.

I visited Savannah Seafood Shack back in December 2024. This was a great find on Google & Yelp, I trusted the reviews. I called my order in with no issues, great customer service. Keep in mind they are located in a downtown busy area. Parking is gonna be hard to find, I parked for a few minutes on the side of street. They do have alot of seating inside the restaurant. All the food was yummy, seasoned well and good portion sized. I ordered the low country seafood boil. I will most definitely will return and hopefully eat inside next time.

We wanted some fresh seafood and chose this location to try. You get seated and go order at the counter. My friends and I decided to share two of The Love Shake, which included a variety of seafood. It was delicious. Everything tasted so fresh. I just wish there were more seasoning options. It was delicious, but I love a good seafood that is cover in multiples spices. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would come back again. Please add raw oysters in your menu!

Savannah Seafood Shack gave me a great first impression of a Lowcountry Boil. Tender and delicious. Just the right amount of spice. Didn't love the sweet cinnamon-y sauce that was served with the Hush Puppies, but they still tasted great. Atmosphere is casual; we went here for lunch. Service is good. Would recommend!

We were recommended this place as a "very good local seafood casual dining" restaurant. It's super casual (order at the front counter amd they bring your food to your table) but everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. My wife had the Shrimp Po' Boy (Buffalo Style) w/Calum Fries as her side. I had the Fried Clam Strips (Buffalo Sauce on the side) w/Cole Slaw. Both were great! Definitely recommend the Buffalo Style if U like a little spice on your fried seafood. And the fries and cole slaw were very good! The Crab/Shrimp Boil looked amazing but we didn't have a lot of time and it looked like a lot more work. So we will get next time. They had a decent Beer selection and fountain drinks. The Manager went around to ask how everyone's meal was and wait staff was very friendly! We really could not ask for more. 5 stars!

Savannah Seafood Shack Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Savannah Seafood Shack

Is there outdoor seating for people with dogs?

Yes, when we were there they had two small tables outside for two people each. Two people were eating outside with their dogs and one of the workers even brought out a water bowl for the dog.

Is this a sit-down restaurant with servers or just a place to get take-out?

Sit-down, but pretty much no service. You stand in line to order at the counter, find a place to sit (or they might help you find a place to sit), and someone will bring your food to you. Think of Panera Bread.

Do they have a raw bar?

No. This is more of a fried seafood place.

Ambiance is prohibition bar vibes so a little more rustic and casual. I was a bit annoyed by the hostess. We had a reservation for our party of 6 and arrived about 15 minutes early. I asked if we could grab drinks at the bar and she kept coming up with excuses on why we couldn't stand or sit in certain areas. Finally, I just asked her to come up with a solution because we had 15 minutes to kill and they didn't have a waiting area. Funny enough, she decided then to get our table ready. It was just odd. Our server was from Ukraine so she was efficient and fast. Not super friendly or chatty with us which missed the mark on Southern hospitality and made our experience feel cold compared to our previous dinner experiences in town. I don't fault her for it though as she did her job. We ordered an excessive amount of starters and some of the entrees. The stand outs for me was the crispy Brussels sprouts, roasted bone marrow, steamed mussels, and grilled octopus. Skip any of the bread options. They weren't even toasted. For entrees, we also decided to share them. The pork chop and NY strip were stand outs. We ended up sending back the halibut. It tasted mealy and freeze burnt. Skip the crispy Japanese eggplant. I was expecting a grilled dish and it was actually fried with a thick batter. Too heavy for my liking. Overall, we enjoyed our meal but not somewhere I am dying to go back to.

Unfortunately, my experience last night left a bad taste in my mouth. We were seated in the lower dining room. Everything was going well with good service and delicious drinks... and then I spotted a cockroach crawling under our table. Of course, we are in the south & I am willing to overlook the odd roach here and there. However, when a second one emerged from the hallway, my confidence that this was just a one-off incident tanked. By the time our food arrived, our focus had been diverted to be on roach alert. Unfortunately, the food also missed the mark--overly salty and bland at the same time. None of this aligns with The Public I know and love, so I am really hoping this was just an off night. Might be taking a break from this place for a while.
