Raw dough in the center of the churros

We went here for the first time in about 6 years. It was quite nice inside- upstairs especially with a bar and lounge area. Very dark and moody, with a very big speakeasy vibe. There is a room attached with comfy couches and seating - not suitable for a meal but perfect for drinks and apps. We sat at a hightop near the windows up there. There was live music and an attentive server. We got there early - around 5 on a Saturday and noticed how busy the traffic coming in was after that. My old fashioned cocktail was so sweet it was undrinkable, but my server brought it back and had it "fixed " for me. Still very sweet but more drinkable. The bread was delicious, hot and fresh served with garlic herb butter. I got the pink vodka chicken pasta dish and my date got the sausage Thai Asian dish. Both were large portions and delicious. After dinner spots at the bar opened so we moved there for a drink and dessert. I had a pink lady which was better than the old fashioned and we ordered churros to share. The churros were crisp and delicious on the outside but then I noticed the center "oozing" out. I thought it was a cream of sorts but swiftly realized it was uncooked dough. I made the busy bartender aware and she said she would talk to her manager and have it removed. That never happened. We paid for our drinks and uncooked dessert and left. Bad ending to an otherwise good experience. Still it was a decent dining experience and I would go back to try other menu items. EDIT: As the owner replied, the churros are indeed filled and it was not raw dough. Apparently I was mistaken and it was not undercooked. What led me to believe this was the menu doesn't indicate any filling and I have never had this elsewhere in churros. The filling also had no flavor and was extremely hot - so it was not filled after it was cooked. Again, I would likely go back; this doesn't have a big impact on my general experience.

Fun at the upstairs bar with Brittany!

Consistently great food, drinks and service! Menu and drink specials always a treat, fish and tuna so fresh. Food preferences accommodated when possible, entertainment always great & love the new upstairs space! #windhamrestaurant @windhamrestaurant #buzzybooth

This restaurant was highly recommended by my friends and we came in as a group of 5. A problem I noticed right away was that Windham tried to fit too much into their space. The way tables were rearranged, worked, but I was sandwiched between the end of a table and a wall. Secondly, they don't have many appetizers that can be shared among such a big party unless you like calamari. We ordered misc. apps to hold us over. Their blueberry raspberry cocktail was the highlight, I loved how it came out strong! The shrimp scampi had a good amount of shrimp, but I found it a bit too saucy. I'd still make it my go-to dish once I visit and try other items.

What can I say..our first time there and we will be back. Started with the delicious bread with Maple butter We started with 1/2 order of calamari and crab cakes..again delicious.. crab cakes were served with a arugula salad and a perfect gastric sauce 1/2 portions are perfect. Nice size for a dinnr We then had special burger and I had a1/2 order of Chicken Parm. It had a crunchy fried outside which sounded a little iffy but I was wrong - glad I ordered. Burger ordered med but came well done. He still liked it. While I had no room left I had to have dessert ,my choice, carrot cake with maple cream top. Again, I sound like a broken delicious train of reviews! Run don't run. Book a reservation ASAP

Giabella's is without a doubt the best Italian in New Hampshire. I would say it goes beyond bringing the North End of Boston to New Hampshire, it brings the best of your mother or grandmother's kitchen. The restaurant itself is spotlessly clean, and although it is not in a large spot, the tables are spaced out and for some reason it has an intimate feel in a buzzing restaurant with a good vibe. I tried one of their specialty martinis, and I was not disappointed. I also tried the recommended wine and was very happy. I am a food in Italian wine snob and both were great. Attention is paid to detail. The bread that came out before the meal was fresh and tasty. I had the eggplant and veal parm and Bella had the chicken Parm. The gravy was cooked so perfectly that we ended up, sopping it up with the bread. The meal was perfect, and we had enough to take leftovers with us. Hats off to the entire staff of Giabella's,

For a place that many people jokingly refer to as "the gas station restaurant," the food is surprisingly--and consistently--good. This particular dinner was a great example. We started with the arancini balls, which were crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy inside, and packed with that rich, savory flavor you want from a good arancini. The Pomodoro Caprese was another standout. The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful, the mozzarella was creamy, and the bright tomato sauce and fresh flavors made it a nice lighter start to the meal. The chicken parmigiana was exactly what you hope for in a classic chicken parm. The chicken was tender with a nicely crisped exterior, topped with plenty of tomato sauce and melted cheese. It had that combination of crispy, cheesy, savory and slightly sweet tomato flavor that makes chicken parm such a comfort-food favorite. The rigatoni alla Bolognese was rich and hearty, with a slow-cooked meat sauce that had plenty of depth without being overly heavy. The rigatoni held onto the sauce really well, making every bite flavorful. The chicken Marsala was another favorite. Tender chicken with a savory Marsala sauce that had that slightly sweet, earthy mushroom flavor you expect from a good Marsala. The sauce was rich enough to make the dish satisfying without overwhelming the chicken. And then there was the salad special with salmon. The salmon was a nice change of pace from the heavier pasta and chicken dishes, and the freshness of the salad balanced out the meal really well. We also started the evening with a couple of Espresso Martinis, which were a great combination of rich coffee flavor and just enough sweetness to get the night started. What I really like about On the Corner is that you can come in regularly and feel pretty confident that the food is going to be good. Restaurants can have a great night here and there, but consistency is what makes a place a regular stop for me. So yes, it may be "the gas station restaurant," but don't let that nickname fool you. There's a real kitchen here putting out some very good food, and this dinner was another reminder of why On the Corner Grill remains one of our go-to spots in Derry.

My friends had the salmon, mussels and calamari, and a steak tip salad-everyone loved their meals. For dessert we shared crème brûlée warm donut dessert with ice cream and whipped cream, which were amazing. Our server, Naomi, was the best-attentive, friendly, and sweet, always making sure we had everything we needed for a great dining experience. The restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night, which says a lot about how good it is. The two small cons: when I made the reservation on March 7, I included a note asking for a surprise birthday dessert for my friend Anita after the meal (I had planned to order the Swiss Chalet Cake), but it never arrived. Luckily we ordered the crème brûlée donut to share, which was fantastic anyway. I just wish reservation comments were reviewed so special requests like that can be carried out. Additionally, it was also a bit loud for a small restaurant, especially on a Tuesday night. Overall, everything was perfectly cooked and we'll definitely be going back again soon.

You can tell from the front of house to the back that the beauty of a family owned restaurant is the care and love that is able to exist without the hustle and bustle of a mainstream restaurant. They make you feel like one of their own with how personable the staff are! I've met a lot of regulars that have been going for years which that and in itself shows value in what this place has to offer! The martinis are sooo good and they definitely don't under pour which is nice since you feel that you're getting your moneys worth. The serving sizes are huge - many other places you are paying the same or more for half of what the Colosseum gives you! The chicken parm is soo thin and it's hard to find that anywhere else! Their homemade tomato sauce is perfection. I love their eggplant alla romana (rolantini), calms casino, and their Italian (French) fries! My favorite dish is the chicken vinegar and fries which you can't find anywhere but deep in the north end- typically it's made with a pork chop which they also have but it's nice they offer the chicken because I prefer that. They also have a special salad only posted online and it's their version of a chopped salad called the Sal-ad and it comes over their amazing chicken cutlet!! So so good! The prices here seem fair. The place is casual and order at the counter and there are a few hard seat booths. After seeing postings of social media, I decided to stop in at Crown Castle Pizzeria for takeout. I ordered a Large Cheese Pizza ($10.99 plus tax-Monday special) and a Spaghetti & Sausage Dinner ($13.99 plus tax) with garlic bread. The food was prepared to order and all set to go in about 15 minutes. The pasta entrée & garlic bread (in foil) were placed in a plastic bag and tied sealed. Upon arriving home, there was red pasta water all over the bag, but no mess in my vehicle since they wisely sealed the pasta for travel. The cheese pizza was pretty good which had the right amount of red sauce & melted cheese on top of a firm Greek style crust with rolled firm edge crust. The pasta was packed in a foil container with only foil on top, which was probably why there was pasta water in the bag. Anyways, the spaghetti was very soft (a bit overcooked) with a standard marinara sauce, sliced sausages and melted cheese, but still tasted pretty good. The baked garlic bread (sub roll slices) was buttery. Overall, I would come back here to try some of their other offerings like the baked & fried haddock dinners, ziti alfredo, and shawarma.
