We had a party of 7 and we were very excited to finally try Dreo. We started with 2 orders of the calamari and the spinach dip special. My husband noticed the calamari also had shrimp which I am allergic to. They happily removed the shrimp but unfortunately it's fried in the same oil (which is completely logical) but everyone at our table (besides me) throughly enjoyed the calamari. I cannot even begin to explain how good the spinach dip was. I'm not sure I'll have want to eat spinach dip without garlic bread again!!! Next up entrees: 2 ribeyes, 1 NY strip, 1 Korean BBQ Bowl, 1 Soy Maple Glazed Salmon, and 1 Tuscan Fried Chicken. I am newly pregnant and to be honest I was not looking forward to eating out because my go to is rib eye but I refuse to eat well done meat so instead I ordered the Tuscan fried chicken. I also asked to sub the mashed potatoes for truffle fries and the veggie medley for green beans. They had no problems with my requests which I loved. I loved every single bite of my chicken and I actually stopped caring that I was missing on steak! In fact every single person at our table loved everything they ate too. We ended our meal with cookie skillets and again absolutely delicious! Now our meal was fantastic by itself but I have to say our waiter Brett was just as amazing!! He couldn't have done a better job and he totally rolled with our parties over the top personalities. Even if the food wasn't outstanding we'd go back just for the service! I really hope of the owners or managers see this; Brett is fantastic and deserves praise!! We will definitely be back and since I still have about 7 and half months to go I will be coming back for more Tuscan fried chicken soon!!

Decided to try with my daughter and we both got Chicken Parmesan. I have to say, that was the worst Chicken Parm I have ever had. The sauce was terrible...terrible.....I thought for the price (28.00) it would be over the top delicious. Instead it was over the top disgusting. The menu doesn't even look like its appropriate for Windham NH. The last restaurant that was there Zachary's Chop House I believe was equally expensive and they weren't there for very long. I know I will never return. If I could give ZERO stars I would.

There was also a snow event happening outside. It is cozy inside albeit it a bit dark.. Our party started with charred octopus and crab cake appetizers. The crab cakes were awesome with generous lumps of crab meat. I would have liked more of the roumalade. The octopus was tender but came out a little on the cool side as if they stood around a while waiting for the cakes . For entrees I had their short rib ragu. The pasta was cooked perfectly and tomato sauce was light and tasty. But the shortrib itself was a little overdone and tough. The birthday girl also had tge shortrib and said the same about hers. My wife had their Boursin cheese ravioli and was very happy with it. The other in the party was also happy with his duck confit dinner. I don't partake but I heard the Martinis were delicious. Our sever was very good. Overall it was enjoyable even with a couple flaws. We'll try them again as the menu was very enticing.

The food was a mix -- the churro dessert with dipping sauces was amazing, and the sweet & spicy calamari and seabass with fried rice were decent but could have used a bit more flavor. On the other hand, the tacos and fried chicken nuggets were so good -- I wasn't expecting such big portions for starters, but they definitely exceeded expectations Overall, it's a pretty spot with a fun vibe. Parking can be tricky sometimes, but they have a nearby floor you can walk from or valet. Would definitely come back for the rooftop and the standout appetizers! Great signage leading up to the rooftop. The hostess was excellent, very welcoming and kind. We chose to sit at the bar and I think that was a mistake. It took the two male bartenders around 10 minutes to even acknowledge us as they were both talking to a manager-like person on the other side of the bar and the female bartender was actually busy making drinks. I will say the female bartender was very attentive, I can't say the same for the other two during our time there. The drinks themselves were lackluster, we were planning on ordering some apps but the bartender never asked, nor did not come back to check on us at all. The female bartender came around and asked if we needed anything when we were looking for the check. I'm not sure we will be return. Very disappointed for such a swanky place.

Have been to this location as the primary gust at least 5x since opened and countless as a guest as well. I would say the meals are usually very good HOWEVER, on holidays I would caution against this place. The food and even the mixed drinks are just off. The General Partner came over when drinks were returned on NYE and we told him they still were off and to just bring Bailey's and we would add it in. He said "that is not how we typically do it but I will get it for you and check back over." Someone else brought it over and we never saw the General Partner again. I guess he really didn't care...... Cream spinach had ZERO taste to it and we really didn't touch it. When they came to clear the table and they asked if we wanted to take it home would have been the time to ask questions but that didn't happen either. Steak and Scallops were as expected and the french fries were crispy as requested. Otherwise, not worth the price of admission on this night. The other really bad night was Mother's Day and that was a disaster from start to end. When another suit came over with the check and the only comps were the drinks and the Baileys he said "Well it is our first NYE and always things to fix." At this price point get it together before the customer shells out the same money regardless of the day of the week or the holiday on the calendar.

Despite all that, I can tell you upfront that our experience was more or less sublime. Naturally, there was one setback in particular that I just can't ignore (which we'll cover later). First, the good.. Clam chowder: Now, this was a March special. So, it's not on the regular menu, far as I can tell. But let me just say...this is by FAR some of the best damn chowder I've had in a restaurant! Granted, we're in New England. So, I'd expect nothing less. Just the same, it's worth mentioning. This chowder was perfectly seasoned to the point of not needing anything additional. And it had ALL the clams! SO many clams!! 10 out of 10, they really need to make this one more often! Queso dip: Again, we have a cheese sauce that's beautifully seasoned and creamy as all get out. One thing that perplexed us was the meat (or lack there of). We thought it would consist of larger chunks, but it was minced. Odd. I also would have enjoyed this one a lot more if the chips weren't so heavily salted. 8 out of 10, the cheese sauce is like liquid gold. Tavern burger: One thing I noticed both here and at the Derry location - not one person had taken a photo of the burgers. Like....ANY of them. So, I'm a guy who likes to view what he's about to get into. Far as first impressions go, this burger looked delectable! I'm talkin' the perfect charred sear, temperature nailed, cheese beautifully melted over top. Not to mention the kaiser rolls they used were brilliantly crisp on the outside, with a soft interior. Thing is....this burger would have been damn near perfect, if not for one thing: it was under seasoned. Quite weird, considering the hand cut fries were well seasoned. 9 out of 10, I'd still get this again and just sprinkle salt on the bottom or something. And for those wondering, wifey enjoyed her salmon salad also. Now then, I came across something peculiar when we first entered the place. When I went to utilize the facilities, one of the restrooms was allegedly closed for maintenance reasons. I say "allegedly" because, turns out....that was only HALF true. You see, their sink was broken. Okay. Fine. Whatever. It would have been helpful if they, ya know....mentioned the sink was broken as opposed to letting everyone THINK the restroom itself was ostensibly closed (as per the sign on the door). The whole thing was misleading and, quite frankly, unnecessary. Felt like a damn goober standing there in front of an almost perfectly functioning restroom. Btw, yes....they had hand sanitizer at the ready to accommodate the lack of sink in one bathroom. Anyway, service was excellent. Just a note though: it's loud as hell in here as you can very well imagine a bar & grill would be. But I weathered the storm easily thanks to my Loop Earplugs (no, that's not a plug. I swear!). So, yeah....overall, not that bad. No where near as bad as some folks suggested. Perhaps that was a different time. In any event, we shall return for future date nights. Till then, Friendly Red's Tavern in Windham is worth 4 bad ass burgers charred to utter perfection out of 5.
