Last Tuesday night went to a late father's day dinner with family at Figaro's Martini Bar in Windham NH. We got there and half the menu was unavailable due to a "menu change". OK. So bad enough to stay open when half the menu is not available. But the the meals we order: 1. Rare ribeye -well done 2. Pork belly and scallops - cold and only 2 scallops vs 3 advertised. 3. Carrots were basically raw based on crunch 4. Chicken parm shows up with non described pasta, but it was good. The waitress was amazing, I cant imagine subjecting my employees to a half menu then executing it so poorly. So - restaurants are allowed to have bad nights, I get it. We eat out a lot. But we ask to see the manager. Jim comes over with a chip on his shoulder from the start. We explain we were disappointed in the fact the half the menu was unavailable, he starts rolling his eyes. Like a 14 year old teenager. So disrespectful. Then we call out all the issues, his response "everyone is entitled to their own opinions"... OK. Insane. Two people sent email to to the website which advertises a fast response. Nothing Today I commented on a facebook post and they deleted my comment and blocked me. Obviously they don't want feedback. Obviously they don't care they lost a repeat customer. Obviously they don't care that this is what spawns a bad review. Not that they had a bad night but that they don't even care to admit/fix bad behaviors... Good luck to people who go! read more

This place is great! A hidden gem! We went for drinks and had a great time. Service was super fast and very clean inside with great style. Owner is very friendly too. Come here for a nice night out for drinks with friends it's very relaxing & worth the time. read more

I really wish I could give this place a better review, but after our third visit, I left extremely disappointed. My family and I came here for a birthday dinner, and it took approximately 2.5 hours for us to get our food. Our waitress rarely checked on the table, and even basic things like keeping our water glasses filled were overlooked. At first, I wondered whether they were simply understaffed. But there appeared to be four or five servers plus a manager working in a restaurant with roughly 12-15 occupied tables. Whatever was happening behind the scenes, the service was simply not functioning well. And we weren't the only ones waiting. The table next to us was seated before we were, and it appeared to take them close to two hours to receive their food as well. We also had young children with us. I don't expect a restaurant to entertain my children or be exceptionally child-friendly, but if a family is sitting at a table for hours, some basic awareness goes a long way. Our kids waited about an hour for their drinks and roughly two hours for their food. To their credit, they behaved remarkably well through all of it--I think even the people sitting next to us were impressed! What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled. The manager came through the dining room and appeared to visit every table around us, but never stopped at ours. Given how long we had been waiting, I found that surprising. I emailed the restaurant afterward to give them an opportunity to address what happened. I received no response. Judging from other reviews, long waits and difficulty getting a response from management don't appear to be unique to our experience. That's ultimately why I'm writing this review. One bad night can happen to any restaurant. What matters is how a business responds when something goes wrong. We gave them an opportunity to do that, and they chose not to respond. There are simply too many other dining options in and around Windham to justify this experience. Between Windham Restaurant, Red's, and all the restaurants at Tuscan Village, customers have plenty of alternatives. After three visits, I wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, after our most recent experience--and the complete lack of follow-up--I can't recommend it. read more

This restaurant is in a small "off the beaten path" shopping strip so its not the kind of place to get diners traveling by. Decided to try with my daughter and we both got Chicken Parmesan. I have to say, that was the worst Chicken Parm I have ever had. The sauce was terrible...terrible.....I thought for the price (28.00) it would be over the top delicious. Instead it was over the top disgusting. The menu doesn't even look like its appropriate for Windham NH. The last restaurant that was there Zachary's Chop House I believe was equally expensive and they weren't there for very long. I know I will never return. A Saturday night in July, we went around 7 p.m., very quiet, no waiting. First, the atmosphere is fantastic! They did an excellent job decorating and making the entire experience feel upscale. You completely forget you're in a local plaza. Separating the dining and bar area and creating a welcoming waiting area - superb. So 5 stars there. 2 different martini drinks were good. Waitress was friendly and readily available. Unfortunately we'd only give 3 stars for the food. The octopus appetizer did not disappoint. However, the chicken piccata lacked flavor and NY sirloin came out a bit over cooked. Will probably go again and try something different. read more

First time visiting Figaro and was pleasantly surprised. Although the outside looks a little mysterious when you walk in, it's quite lovely. Really cool setting moderately not a noisy place which I loved. The server was excellent. The food we had was good, but I think I would try something different next time. I got the pork wings and the chicken piccata both were fried so a bit heavy. Both were really tasty though. The drinks were excellent. Will return and try this again with a different menu new selection. read more

First visit with the soft-open after the F2FC event on June 22nd and just had a full menu experience last night June 28th. So far, so great...especially given they JUST hit the ground in town. And it's Windham. Quasi tough crowd. Ability to reserve online, full menu at bar, friendly/flexible staff and there is a nice atmosphere shift between the bar and dining areas if you prefer peace and quality time with your party. We had two 'spice' category martinis, one based with strawberry and another pear which I believe is called 'grow a pear' ha (Don't judge) so far we have had the octopus, tuna tartar, squash blossom and burrata (prelude) appetizers. Burger and Baked Monkfish were phenomenal - and we were instructed by patrons at Old School that Frutti di Mare and Short Rib Ragu need to be our next week decisions! We went to Figaro's recently for a birthday dinner. Reservations were at 4 and it was very quiet, as expected. So we were seated immediately. There was also a snow event happening outside. It is cozy inside albeit it a bit dark.. Our party started with charred octopus and crab cake appetizers. The crab cakes were awesome with generous lumps of crab meat. I would have liked more of the roumalade. The octopus was tender but came out a little on the cool side as if they stood around a while waiting for the cakes . For entrees I had their short rib ragu. The pasta was cooked perfectly and tomato sauce was light and tasty. But the shortrib itself was a little overdone and tough. The birthday girl also had tge shortrib and said the same about hers. My wife had their Boursin cheese ravioli and was very happy with it. The other in the party was also happy with his duck confit dinner. I don't partake but I heard the Martinis were delicious. Our sever was very good. Overall it was enjoyable even with a couple flaws. We'll try them again as the menu was very enticing. read more

Beautiful decor! Drinks are delicious and the bartenders are so fun. Only change I would make is to add some sauces to the food dishes. Foods great, just needs a little sauce to add some pizzazz! Love this local spot tho. Great addition to Windham read more

Finally went for first time to dinner about a week ago. Food was average although generous portions. I ordered cottage pie on special and my companion had the broiled fish. We were early (4:15pm) and only one other couple were in the dining room - and 3 people at the bar. The waitress took our order in a timely manner as well as the delivery of our non-alcoholic drinks - food delivery took about 20 min. No bread or crackers were served to tide us over and when I asked after about 15 min, I was told that I could buy a bread basket for $5. It was too late to do so. Price point is on the high side for what we ordered considering no salad or bread was included. I feel I get a much better food and value from Texas Roadhouse or T Bones. Seems more like a bar than a restaurant. read more

Had a great visit Wednesday. We were there on the later side, but still a good number of people. Kelly served us and was very attentive and friendly. Drinks were good, additionally went for the pork wings which was a short rib with the meat done sort of like a drummete. Also had the escargot, which all came in one large puff... liked the basil touches. For mains had the monkfish and pastitsio. All food was very good. Ambiance is cool and they break up dining from bar area with a screen wall which I like, and there are noise baffles keeping the dining area more quiet. I would agree with G. D. review. The drinks were good, the staff excellent. Two of us; we tried a bunch of appetizers and liked all of them (really liked them - would come back for just the appetizers) But the main course was definitely sub-par. We shared three plates - a dinner salad, a pasta and a fish dish. The dinner salad was bland and lacked things to make it sparkle (not enough salad dressing, had to ask for more), terrible croutons - you know that type that are hard as concrete - yep. The pasta was a bit rubbery and the sauce completely insignificant. The fish was good, but everything around the fish was unimpressive. Like I said, go for a drink and the appetizers. We have been coming here since it opened and for the most part have had great experiences! Any new business will have kinks to work out, it just takes time. They strive to make process improvements for great food and drinks. The atmosphere is inviting and most of all we love our server, Noelle!! She's fantastic, efficient, friendly, attentive and we ask to sit at her table whenever we make a reservation. Looking forward to returning on a regular basis! read more

Great drinks, food, and service. Just what NH needed! Ambiance is amazing. Had the flatbread and pork wings, both were delicious.

The place isn't open. I waited for 30 minutes after a nail appointment so that I could try it out and they weren't open. Online and on their door it says opens at 3pm. I waited outside for another 15 minutes and they still aren't open. Guess I'll never know if it's good or not because I'm not waiting around again for nothing. read more

Waited over an hour for oysters that we didn't enjoy and carpaccio that was overly salty after they dumped an excessive amount of capers on top. We were a party of 4 and 2 of us couldn't eat our entree. The other two were okay at best. 3 of us had pasta with our meals, all the pasta was cold and dry. One had risotto which was more like rice, not creamy at all. The frutti de Mare was loaded with mussels, tiny clams, scallops, shrimp and some lobster but everything was cold and tasteless. The Arrabbiata sauce was more like tomato paste and the Tagliatelle it covered it was cold and lacked flavor. The Duck Confit Cacio e Pepe is another dish to avoid. The bone in ribeye was okay at best but the Brussels Sprouts were undercooked. The short rib was also ok but the pasta it sat on was also cold and the flavor uninspired. The manager was good enough to remove much of the meal from the bill and provided a gift certificate for a return visit however I don't have any plans for returning at this point. On the positive side the drinks were great, our waitress was wonderful and the ambiance was lovely. Unfortunately the best thing we ate was the truffle popcorn. read more
