A Saturday night in July, we went around 7 p.m., very quiet, no waiting. First, the atmosphere is fantastic! They did an excellent job decorating and making the entire experience feel upscale. You completely forget you're in a local plaza. Separating the dining and bar area and creating a welcoming waiting area - superb. So 5 stars there. 2 different martini drinks were good. Waitress was friendly and readily available. Unfortunately we'd only give 3 stars for the food. The octopus appetizer did not disappoint. However, the chicken piccata lacked flavor and NY sirloin came out a bit over cooked. Will probably go again and try something different.

First time visiting Figaro and was pleasantly surprised. Although the outside looks a little mysterious when you walk in, it's quite lovely. Really cool setting moderately not a noisy place which I loved. The server was excellent. The food we had was good, but I think I would try something different next time. I got the pork wings and the chicken piccata both were fried so a bit heavy. Both were really tasty though. The drinks were excellent. Will return and try this again with a different menu new selection.

We had a party of 7 and we were very excited to finally try Dreo. We started with 2 orders of the calamari and the spinach dip special. My husband noticed the calamari also had shrimp which I am allergic to. They happily removed the shrimp but unfortunately it's fried in the same oil (which is completely logical) but everyone at our table (besides me) throughly enjoyed the calamari. I cannot even begin to explain how good the spinach dip was. I'm not sure I'll have want to eat spinach dip without garlic bread again!!! Next up entrees: 2 ribeyes, 1 NY strip, 1 Korean BBQ Bowl, 1 Soy Maple Glazed Salmon, and 1 Tuscan Fried Chicken. I am newly pregnant and to be honest I was not looking forward to eating out because my go to is rib eye but I refuse to eat well done meat so instead I ordered the Tuscan fried chicken. I also asked to sub the mashed potatoes for truffle fries and the veggie medley for green beans. They had no problems with my requests which I loved. I loved every single bite of my chicken and I actually stopped caring that I was missing on steak! In fact every single person at our table loved everything they ate too. We ended our meal with cookie skillets and again absolutely delicious! Now our meal was fantastic by itself but I have to say our waiter Brett was just as amazing!! He couldn't have done a better job and he totally rolled with our parties over the top personalities. Even if the food wasn't outstanding we'd go back just for the service! I really hope of the owners or managers see this; Brett is fantastic and deserves praise!! We will definitely be back and since I still have about 7 and half months to go I will be coming back for more Tuscan fried chicken soon!!

The experience started off great. The hostess downstairs was welcoming, friendly, and gave clear directions to the rooftop--10/10. After taking the elevator up, we were greeted by another equally warm and professional host. Another 10/10. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. We sat at the bar, and the bartender spent most of his time with his back to the guests. We waited... and waited... and waited before finally having to get his attention ourselves. That's never a good sign. I ordered the "Dirty but Classy" martini and was told they didn't have the ingredients--but they could still make it. What does that even mean? Either you have the ingredients or you don't. After a confusing back-and-forth, it became clear they couldn't make it at all, so I settled for a standard dirty martini. It was terrible. No olive oil-infused vodka. No prosciutto & Gorgonzola stuffed olives. Poorly balanced and badly mixed. If you're someone who actually enjoys martinis, you know immediately when the person behind the bar has no idea how to make one. This bartender may be handsome, but the lights were on and nobody was home. He lacked both the personality and the skill to be working behind a cocktail bar. We also ordered the wagyu dumplings. Calling the filling "wagyu" felt generous--it tasted like ordinary ground beef. Any flavor the meat might have had was completely buried under an overly sweet sauce. The wagyu certainly wasn't the star of the dish. Overall, I left more annoyed than impressed. The hosts were fantastic, but the bar experience completely overshadowed the evening. I'll probably give the place another chance because first impressions aren't always the whole story--but I'll absolutely make sure I'm sitting with a different bartender next time.

Despite all that, I can tell you upfront that our experience was more or less sublime. Naturally, there was one setback in particular that I just can't ignore (which we'll cover later). First, the good.. Clam chowder: Now, this was a March special. So, it's not on the regular menu, far as I can tell. But let me just say...this is by FAR some of the best damn chowder I've had in a restaurant! Granted, we're in New England. So, I'd expect nothing less. Just the same, it's worth mentioning. This chowder was perfectly seasoned to the point of not needing anything additional. And it had ALL the clams! SO many clams!! 10 out of 10, they really need to make this one more often! Queso dip: Again, we have a cheese sauce that's beautifully seasoned and creamy as all get out. One thing that perplexed us was the meat (or lack there of). We thought it would consist of larger chunks, but it was minced. Odd. I also would have enjoyed this one a lot more if the chips weren't so heavily salted. 8 out of 10, the cheese sauce is like liquid gold. Tavern burger: One thing I noticed both here and at the Derry location - not one person had taken a photo of the burgers. Like....ANY of them. So, I'm a guy who likes to view what he's about to get into. Far as first impressions go, this burger looked delectable! I'm talkin' the perfect charred sear, temperature nailed, cheese beautifully melted over top. Not to mention the kaiser rolls they used were brilliantly crisp on the outside, with a soft interior. Thing is....this burger would have been damn near perfect, if not for one thing: it was under seasoned. Quite weird, considering the hand cut fries were well seasoned. 9 out of 10, I'd still get this again and just sprinkle salt on the bottom or something. And for those wondering, wifey enjoyed her salmon salad also. Now then, I came across something peculiar when we first entered the place. When I went to utilize the facilities, one of the restrooms was allegedly closed for maintenance reasons. I say "allegedly" because, turns out....that was only HALF true. You see, their sink was broken. Okay. Fine. Whatever. It would have been helpful if they, ya know....mentioned the sink was broken as opposed to letting everyone THINK the restroom itself was ostensibly closed (as per the sign on the door). The whole thing was misleading and, quite frankly, unnecessary. Felt like a damn goober standing there in front of an almost perfectly functioning restroom. Btw, yes....they had hand sanitizer at the ready to accommodate the lack of sink in one bathroom. Anyway, service was excellent. Just a note though: it's loud as hell in here as you can very well imagine a bar & grill would be. But I weathered the storm easily thanks to my Loop Earplugs (no, that's not a plug. I swear!). So, yeah....overall, not that bad. No where near as bad as some folks suggested. Perhaps that was a different time. In any event, we shall return for future date nights. Till then, Friendly Red's Tavern in Windham is worth 4 bad ass burgers charred to utter perfection out of 5.

Today I ordered the habanero steak Caesar salad which I've had many times. Although I ordered the steak medium it was brought out well done. Additionally the lettuce was virtually floating in dressing. Inedible. Now, the scant 3 oz of steak comes sliced and so the chef AND waiter obviously saw that it was black inside, not pink. I wanted to send it back but our waiter never checked on us until the meal was done. Maybe because he knew it was cooked poorly. I waited but finally ate about half and only told him about the problems when he later asked if I wanted to take the rest home. He came back a few minutes later and said he brought it to a managers attention and they agreed it was incorrectly cooked, and they would be giving me a gift card. We paid our bill and waited another 15/20 minutes but he never returned with a gift card so we left. Ps- it wasn't busy. Now, 1. I never return food unless I have confidence in the reliability of the kitchen staff (which I did not here) and 2. Although I didn't have the intention of asking for a refund or gift card, once it was offered by the waiter it should have been presented. $27 for a salad with 3 oz of chewy overcooked beef and half a bottle of dressing is way too much! There are many excellent restaurants around this area to waste my money here.

Walking in 7 minutes after opening, this place was already packed. Full of Patriots fans hooping and hollering to the end of the fourth quarter. Every appeared in a merry mood, and everyone knew each other it seems. Service here was great. Our waitress whipped around the room with finesse and speed, working the bar and tables all by herself. She was to the point but pleasant. The beers are ok, but they aren't anything spectacular. An average selection of nearby beers of all varieties. Going to other breweries in New Hampshire, I know that this state can produce good beers. Perhaps they just had a mediocre selection the week I was there. We ordered a medley of items and most of it was hit and miss. In the sampler, the pork cracklings were decent, although dinner pieces were hard to chew since they turned into a dense fried bit. The fries were ok, but standard. The tator tot was actual pretty good, but there's this sweetness and texture that makes me think of pumpkin? That could be upsetting to some. The chicken tenders are ok, but the breading isn't seasoned or exciting in texture. It felt like how I would fry chicken at home with only one coat of breading. The pickle chips were good, even though they were not spicy at all. If they called these paprika coated chips, then I would agree. But texture wise, they were actually crisp and not super watery. The pulled pork tacos are ok, but they rely more on sweet barbeque sauce more than anything else. The tortillas are subpar in flavor, but sturdy enough to hold everything together. The veggies slaw did add some nice acidity though. The wedge salad here is terrible. I should have looked up what others posted before I ordered it. It was a literal wedge of plain iceberg, with all the other ingredients and fixings dumped in the middle. The stuff in the middle was ok, but nothing felt harmonious. Just a bunch of salad ingredients added to a giant paper tray. It felt like a waste of 9 dollars for what was lazy preparation.
