STEPH JUDGEMENT: Large brewery with a nice tasting room and good beers. The hubby and I were walking by and thought it looked like a good place to wet our whistles. The tasting room was huge, with mostly long table and bench seating and some bar seating. We were just looking for drinks, but we did see they had pizzas and pretzels. We decided to split a flight of easy drinking Beers: Day drifter IPA, Rec League hazy IPA, Riverside lager, and Talus hazy IPA. Most were fine, but the rec league hazy was really funky--maybe supposed to remind one of gym socks? XP The hubby also tried the apple cider, which was very good--crisp and not too sweet.

I travel to Boston early, and as long as I have time, I try to make Harpoon my last stop on my way to the airport to head home. Usually I visit on a weekday. This was my first weekend visit. I love the Maine Blueberry beer, which is definitely harder to get in the DC area. The beers on tap rotate fairly often, and Harpoon usually maintains a balanced variety (not all IPAs!). The food/snacks are good - wouldn't say great. Soft pretzel and wings are a solid choice. Pizza is underwhelming, but maybe I've been spoiled when it comes to pizza. The employees are always a highlight here. The weekend was particularly busy, so service was slow, but due to understanding IMO. My interactions with the staff had always been great. I even did the brewery tour, which was among the best I've been on (definitely recommend if you have the time). Bonus! The gift shop here is decently priced compared to most brewery gift shops AND they own have good items on sale. I get something for myself, the family, or friends nearly every visit. Got a $50 hoodie on sale for $30 this time. Harpoon is a solid choice for any Boston visit, and is very conveniently located to hit up on your way to Logan Airport.

I recently returned to the Harpoon Brewery, but had a different experience on this trip. After our last visit, we had really been looking forward to enjoying their fun outdoor beer garden, but it was completely empty when we arrived. So, instead, we went into the tap room where the crowd was. The air conditioning did feel nice, and they offered board games and a fun vibe inside as well. They even had a store with branded merchandise, though the prices were on the higher side. We were asked to order and pay at the large bar, but the food was delivered to the long table of our choice. I did a sample flight and tried the following beers: 1.) Harpoon Black IPA - looked like a dark stout, but tasted more like a rich IPA. It was great! 2.) Boston Irish Stout - not a fan...Was watery and tasted like burnt coffee 3.) Raspberry Lime Sour - loved it! Lots of raspberry flavor and less lime flavor, though. Just sour enough. 4.) Rainbows are Real - great hazy! Smooth and versatile with light hops After the flight, I did a similarly-sized small pour of the Harpoon Mountain Ale, which I found very malty and similar to a porter. It was just ok. We also ordered some of their handmade, Salted Pretzels (also have sweet, cinnamon ones). Their twisted knots were super doughy and more like a bagel, but I am not complaining about that! They were delicious! We were also able to pick two out of their four sauces for each pretzel. The options were: ale mustard, IPA cheese, bacon ranch, and garlic parmesan butter. Though we ordered all four, I only sampled the last two listed. The bacon ranch was creamy, salty, and meaty, while the garlic parmesan butter was rich and decadent. They were both creative, delicious, and out of the ordinary. Once again, we had a blast at the Harpoon Brewery; it was a great way to spend an afternoon!

Great brewery to visit. All servers were attentive and courteous. The cinnamon and salt pretzel on their menu were amazing as well as the accompanying dipping sauces that came with them. Conversations, laughter, and music fill the areas. Board games are available for those who are interested.

Service was good during my visit. I only grabbed a beer, which was solid, no complaints there. The food looked decent, but prices seemed a bit on the higher side for what you get. The overall vibe was good and it's a nice spot to stop by, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way for. That said, if I'm in the area again, I'd definitely come back.

I was in Boaton visiting some friends recently and asked around for a good brewery to check out. A few people recommended Harpoon to me as they had a great beer section, a simple good menu and weekly trivia. Our group was seated right away and ordered a round of pepperoni pizza and cinnamon sugar pretzels from our kind waiter. Food was made and delivered fast and hit the spot. They did offer gluten free pizza which was so a huge plus. Staff were helpful and quick to answer questions. The atmosphere is fun, the restaurant is also clean and well kept.

Was visiting Boston and came for a few drinks with friends. There was a giant selection of beer, many of which tasted very good. I HIGHLY recommend the UFO Maine Blueberry. We ordered a pretzel too which came with a nice garlic oil Parmesan sauce which was super yummy. Lots of searing and service was quick and friendly. Would absolutely come back.

Big beer hall with great choices, lively vibe. Sit at the bar or snag a window table with views of the harbor. Parking available after 5pm.

Stopped after walking the area before a recent cruise. Cute area in the Seaport. They have a pickleball court, so it was fun to watch people play while we drank our delicious beers! Great 90's music playing. Loved the chill atmosphere.

The harpoon brewery in Seaport is a ton of fun! Great beer, and in the winter time they have snow tubing outside which the kids loved!

Good experience at the Holly Jolly pop up. Decorations were festive, and there were a multitude of them! We got the winter sangria, which was fine. Normally would have stuck with a beer but we decided to try out the drinks for the holiday event. The mocktail offered was phenomenal! Staff at the bar was friendly. The food was fine, not the best bar food I've had but definitely not the worst. The main issue we had with our bar snacks was probably the fact they were lukewarm at best, but otherwise tasted good and complemented the experience well enough!

We needed a place that could accommodate a larger group at last minute's notice and ended up here! The bar gives tavern-style vibes, with long tables and plenty of space to socialize. It's located on the second floor, but there's a wheelchair-accessible elevator. I didn't have to wait at all to order or get my drink. Decided to get the Flannel Friday, one of the seasonal drinks for fall. I also tried my friend's Dunkin' Pumpkin Spiced Latte Ale, which surprised me with how good it is!

    Is food served? Thanks

It's been a few years since I toured the facility, but the last time I stopped by (a few months ago), there seemed to be a cafe attached inside. You should call ahead to confirm this.

Is there any nonalcoholic beer available?

Do you have outdoor seating and do you allow dogs?

Outdoor seating in the summer time where dogs are always allowed, service/support animals are allowed inside.

Can you go to the brewery without scheduling a tour or do you need reservations? Probably stopping in Sunday at opening, thinking it shouldn't be too crowded!

No reservations for tables or tours, first come first serve.

I can't recall times in the past, but kids are or are not allowed inside?

Yes there were children inside when I went

We walked in and there was no hostess. The bartenders stood around and did not greet us. We had to go ask for service so that we can be seated (why?) and then once we were seated, it took a while for a server to take our order. Once we got our order, we never got our waters refilled and only were checked on to see if we'd want more alcohol. The menu was alright, though a bit basic. Food tasted fine. Presentation was basic and the little cup of fries seems stingy and unnecessary when there's already a tray. The alcohol was fine. I was pleased they had cocktails in a can (they have a distillery with a wide variety of spirits). No ciders though. The beer selection was good although the menu on the wall was not updated. It would've been good if we could just order from the wall but apparently the drafts and to-go menus are not updated. Overall very subpar service and unwelcoming pretentious vibes. Would not return.

On our bartender's suggestion, we ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and it absolutely delivered. The crust was perfectly balanced -- crisp and firm on the outside while remaining soft and airy in the center, exactly how great pizza should be served. The sauce had excellent flavor, and the combination of pepperoni and hot honey created the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and heat without overpowering the pie itself. My wife sampled a flight of four locally available beers and really enjoyed the opportunity to try selections that are difficult to find outside the Boston area. I jokingly told her not to become too attached to them since we wouldn't be bringing them home with us. The atmosphere inside the Tap Room was lively, modern, and unmistakably Boston, with plenty of Samuel Adams history woven throughout the space without feeling overly commercialized. So, while I didn't get to visit the actual brewery, this tap room in the heart of downtown was second best. When you arrive, there is a gatekeeper checking ID's like I am about to go into a nightclub with glowsticks just right off the campus of some college. You even get a stamp on your hand. Beer and food were to be ordered at the bar. I asked the bartender if the outdoor patio was open and he rolled his eyes and pointed at a sign that said upstairs was closed. Sorry I missed it when going through the TSA precheck line. I then asked about flights and he looked annoyed again. I got one anyway. Sorry if you have to pour 4 mini beers instead of 1 big one. Life is tough. Anyway, the beer was solid, and glad I got to try 4 new things that I haven't had. I wish the upstairs patio would have been open as it was 71 degrees and sunny. It's not like they had servers so I can't think of a reason to cattle us all together.

Really enjoyed seeing the pride flag at the bar-- felt like a safe space for all. The Cambridge location is busy around the time we went, which was around noon on a Saturday. There is lots of seating in the front but also in the back which is a little more quiet. The setup is a little confusing for ordering though. There's one big line for food and coffee, but you don't need to wait in that line to order beers. I wish we knew that because we didn't see any signage to indicate where to order what. We also saw a lot of people sitting at the bar eating and drinking coffee, so it took a little bit to find a spot at the bar just to have a drink. I think the bar should be reserved for those looking to have a beer. A positive though is that the beer tasty-- light and refreshing. I thought some of the flavors were really creative. For example, I tried the Chrysalis which I believe had notes of jasmine and honey. Overall would definitely come here again and try their food and coffee next time!
