On a hot summer day, we decided to stop in for a cold beer, some pizza, and to catch a little soccer. They have plenty of outdoor seating, but when it's 98° outside, who wants to sit in the heat? We grabbed a table inside by the huge TV, perfect spot to watch the match. For drinks, I ordered the Boardwalk Creamsicle Sour. It was refreshing and hit the spot on a hot day. For pizza, I went with the Sweet Dreams, and it was excellent! If you're a fan of a thin, crispy crust, you'll definitely enjoy their pizzas. We also ordered a mushroom pizza, which was just as good. We couldn't finish it all, so we took some home. I have to give them credit for their to-go boxes, they're round, and the design keeps the pizza elevated off the bottom of the box so it doesn't get soggy. Such a simple but brilliant idea! The service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Between the great beer, delicious pizza, and plenty of TVs, this is a fantastic spot to catch a game. We'll definitely be back. Went to Castle Island Brewing for the Canada World Cup game and it was a pretty chill spot to watch. Not crowded at all, which made it easy to relax and actually enjoy the game. I tried the Flower Child and thought it was just alright... not bad, but nothing I'd go back for. The Surf God IPA was the winner though, really smooth and way better than expected. We also shared a pizza which did the job and was good for snacking while watching. Service was quick and the vibe was low-key in a good way. I had more of a fruity one my friend enjoyed the stout w/ hints of coffee, it was ok stouts not my thing. The service was nice and friendly and we got food from the bardo's pizza that is located inside. ( you will have to go check out that review.) This space is very spacious and plenty of room to hang and enjoy beers with friends and family. On nice days there is a big open outdoor area where they have picnic tables and standing room to enjoy the great Boston weather while enjoying some awesome Castle Island Beer. They also have hosted birthday parties here as well. When I was here there was one going on. The bartender was nice. This place, is awesome. My wife, my 5 week old baby and I headed to Castle Island brewery after a brief jaunt at Castle Island (proper) and boy were we knocked out of our stroller. The vibe was perfect for a sunny spring day, good music, flavor bomb flights, and one of the best bar pizzas around (the Sweet Dream with pillows of ricott', Roni' and hot honey). I was so overwhelmed I purchased a Bardo's shirt. To top it off Hector the floor manager, hooked our baby and dog up with some special treats. I really only post on YELP when people go above and beyond, and this was 100% the case. I will be back for some more good times! read more

I'm no pizza expert but I feel like that's hard to achieve!! Their pizza menu is also different than the norm - but in a good way! Cool brewery in southie! Went here on a Saturday evening and it was packed. The brewery is huge inside with plenty of places roam stand with picnic style tables in the back. 5 stars for the Pizza and 4 for the beer. The pizza was that good that it pushed up the rating, and the indoor/outdoor environment is dog and kid friendly makes for a great visit. I normally go to a brewery to try the various brews, but I would come here for the pizza first. They have a Bardos pizza onsite and it is fantastic - the "bar pizza" that South Boston originated and Bardos perfected is just amazing - the caramelized crust edges with mild char from the pan really add to the texture and flavor for this type of pizza. They advertise that the pizzas are big enough to share or if hungry you can eat your own. We got two so we could share and try different ones and this was a good choice. The Sweet Dreams with pepperoni, ricotta cheese, and hot habanero honey was sweet and tasty, and contrasted well with the Social Climber which was more savory with sausage, and Mama Lil's Peppers. Writing this review is making me hungry to have some more. As for the beer, they are a good craft brewery with several styles including lagers, pilsners, IPAs and hazy IPAs, as well as hard seltzers. The Untappd app shows they sometimes make well regarded stouts but sadly none were on the menu during our visit. The vibe is fine as you can sit in or outdoors and it has that warehouse feel local to the area. The staff were friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place. They serve a variety of pizzas, salads and apps. The Sweet Dreams (hot honey, pepperoni) was the best one we tried. The Mushroom pizza was standard--nothing fancy. The South of the Border salad was nice, but needed more sweet potato!! I forgot what brand of kombucha we had, but I wished the fermentation had been stronger. This is a great brewery, they have a good variety of beers and the best food menu items are definitely the pizzas. Seating is easy to find, they also have an outdoor area. My only complaint is the last time we went, there was a reserved party going on which is normally not an issue but the music their DJ was playing was LOUD! So loud that you couldn't hear the person next to you, so we opted to sit in the outdoor area while it was raining a bit. read more

I actually ordered a pizza to go by phone,not knowing how great this place was inside. Upon my arrival, I sat at the bar and ordered a wheat beer. Simply fantastic! This place has a great selection of beers on tap. After my pizza arrived we decided to eat here and enjoy the atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and attentive and made sure our glasses were full. The pizza was really good too. They char the outer edges of the crust which gives it a good flavor. My daughter had a salad, which she said was fresh and delicious. This place is jumping though, by the time we left, it was standing room only. Nice brewery easy to find when walking from broadway t station driving in is fine but good look finding parking especially as it's right off a street and Dorchester ave. I LOVE this place. I stop in semi-often to grab a beer when I'm in the area and I'm also so curious to see what the brewer's have been up to. There are some creative brews that are freaking delicious, but sadly limited offering. If anyone cares, please please please bring back the Drag Brunch brew - I loved it SO much. The pizza place here serves bar pizza and that is also really really good. It's the perfect place for pizza and a beer. There are screens showing sports and plenty of seating to play a game of cards with friends. I can't say I'd recommend it as a place to have a talking-forward date or hang out as it can be pretty loud. read more

What a fun brewery in southie! It was a very open concept layout with room for sitting and standing. We managed to get a table for a large group without a reservation on a Saturday evening. This brewery is in a great location; easy to walk to, accessible by T, and street parking available nearby as well. The staff was friendly and approachable. It was too cold for the patio, but I can see it being a huge hit. The beer was great; I tried several types. I do wish they had a flight available to choose though. My party also got the pizza which is deemed to be like "south shore bar pizza" and it really was. I highly recommend it! I got the "Social Climber" pizza and it was amazing.
