Samuel Adams Tap Room Great overall vibe and a fun place to hang out, especially if you're a beer fan. There are a ton of beer choices, so there's plenty to try, and the food was decent and came out well. The place itself is one of the highlights. Three floors with different areas to explore, and the top floor has a really nice rooftop atmosphere that's perfect when the weather is good. It's a cool setup for grabbing drinks with friends and spending a couple of hours. The one thing that was noticeably missing was music. With the rooftop, multiple floors, and overall atmosphere, some good background music would have added a lot of energy and made the experience even better. Overall, great beer selection, decent food, cool three-floor layout, and an excellent rooftop vibe. Add some music and this place could easily move up another notch.

**This review is for the beers only** Sam Adams Tap Room is worth of visit if you are in Boston. We got to try beers that are not distributed to where we are from so that was nice. You can also check out their small gift shop before leaving.

We were visiting from out of town when we stopped in! Great service and lots of seating but seems to be quite busy so plan ahead and maybe plan on waiting for a seat to open up! It's very lively and has plenty of tvs for sports. We didn't get anything to eat but we had some great beers! They had a great selection and they even had a small store to stop by!

Having a Sam Adams at Sam Adams in front of a statue of Sam Adams- dream come true! Merch is on point and I narrowly escaped without mortgaging my home. Service was great from everyone I interacted with. It's tough when it's in one of the most popular spots in Boston but everyone was happy to be there.

Sam Adams is a classic American beer and what better place to enjoy a pint than historical Boston in Sam Adams' own tap room. The venue is huge with plenty of beers on tap and seasonal/r&d beers. The staff is incredibly helpful and I actually like to hear the stories behind the r&d beers; the brewers really put a lot of thought and creativity into them! Definitely recommend doing a flight to try out several beers without tapping out too quickly.

Cool beer garden experience. Seat yourself and order from the bar. Fun old school arcade games. Great spot to watch games. Indoor and outdoor seating. Flight- Sam '76, Boston red brick, New England juicy, and Three Quarter Porter beer #s are corresponding with the numbers on the menu All beers are good and very fresh tasting (duh it's made right there) Bar tenders are cool and a lot of fun. Pretzels are good bar food. Mustard is so good

If you don't want to head too far out of the main Boston area, this is your destination for great craft beers by Sam Adams! We were waiting for a bar tour to start (which ultimately brought us back in here anyways). We both got a drink to sit and enjoy for a bit while we waited. It was really busy for a Bruins game that was going to start in a couple hours, so this place looked like a great bar to watch the game at or even before or after the game. It looked like they had small bites for food too but am not sure as we didn't get anything.

We stopped by the Samuel Adams Tap Room for lunch this afternoon and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful with menu recommendations. On our bartender's suggestion, we ordered the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza and it absolutely delivered. The crust was perfectly balanced -- crisp and firm on the outside while remaining soft and airy in the center, exactly how great pizza should be served. The sauce had excellent flavor, and the combination of pepperoni and hot honey created the perfect balance of savory, sweet, and heat without overpowering the pie itself. My wife sampled a flight of four locally available beers and really enjoyed the opportunity to try selections that are difficult to find outside the Boston area. I jokingly told her not to become too attached to them since we wouldn't be bringing them home with us. The atmosphere inside the Tap Room was lively, modern, and unmistakably Boston, with plenty of Samuel Adams history woven throughout the space without feeling overly commercialized. We had a fantastic experience here and would absolutely recommend stopping by if you find yourself in the greater Boston

Had a fun time at the Sam Adams Tap Room. This is not the actual brewery as it's located near the center of Boston but its just as good. They were having Boston Marathon specials here with commemorative merchandise, 26.2 brews made just for the race, pint glasses, bottle openers, and more. We were here a few nights before the marathon and a live band was playing, and we ate some delicious warm pretzels with dipping sauces and tater tops along with some chicken tenders. Appropriate bar snacking to fuel up for the race! LOL! Good staff, a store up front to purchase all types of Sam Adams brand items & packs of their brews, and a large dining area with community long tables to sit at. Definitely worth a visit.

I love Sam Adams Beer! So when we were visiting the Boston Massacre site and I spied the giant Sam Adams location I was absolutely going in! They have three bars on all different levels. We enjoyed our beer on the rooftop. If you follow my reviews you know that is absolutely the vibe I enjoy in the summer. You have to go up to the counter to order. It's first come first serve so you just have to find a spot. We got lucky though. We didn't eat but I know they have food. I feel like if you're in Boston you kind of have to stop here!

2 stars - POOR SERVICE 3 stars - food This was close to our hotel and we wanted a quick bite and away from the heat and crowd. Sat at the bar. It's open seating. Big place. Service slow and even though we made eye contact with male bartender, he ignored us for about 10 minutes and he again ignored us and went to other patrons that just sat down. We ordered the Turkey Sandwich and Reuben. There are way better places to stop for service, drinks and food

Brewery #408 Sam Adams was my 1st experience into craft brewing about 20 years ago and Sam Adams Boston Lager was a staple in my house for years. So, while I didn't get to visit the actual brewery, this tap room in the heart of downtown was second best. When you arrive, there is a gatekeeper checking ID's like I am about to go into a nightclub with glowsticks just right off the campus of some college. You even get a stamp on your hand. Beer and food were to be ordered at the bar. I asked the bartender if the outdoor patio was open and he rolled his eyes and pointed at a sign that said upstairs was closed. Sorry I missed it when going through the TSA precheck line. I then asked about flights and he looked annoyed again. I got one anyway. Sorry if you have to pour 4 mini beers instead of 1 big one. Life is tough. Anyway, the beer was solid, and glad I got to try 4 new things that I haven't had. I wish the upstairs patio would have been open as it was 71 degrees and sunny. It's not like they had servers so I can't think of a reason to cattle us all together.

Great bear, great atmosphere and great food. What more can you ask for? When you are in Boston you have to stop here to have the complete Boston experience.

It wasn't particularly busy on a Sunday at 1pm, which was fine with us, and the other patrons were all middle aged (like us) or older; the youngest person was the bartender. The music wasn't blasting, there were hooks under the counter to hang your purse (which was much appreciated), and the gender neutral washroom was clean. The bar catered to beer drinkers, of course, and the only wine they offered was Pinot Grigio for $9 a glass, but it was nice and refreshing on such a hot day, and at least it wasn't something disgusting like Moscato. It really is very tiny, so just be aware that seating is sometimes limited. They didn't have too much on draft, thought some of that was due to the Scottish being in town for the World Cup the week before. We went with lemon drop shots, and the bartender was very transparent about the fact that he was out of most of his supplies due to the Scottish. No fault at all to them for that because that was the situation at every bar we went to. Service was friendly, the shot was nice and strong, and it was a nice little spot. Beyond drinking, there isn't really much going on in the bar in terms of activities, but there were TVs. So, watching sports here is definitely an option. I'd definitely say that this spot is worth popping in if you are enjoying a night on the town, but that it probably shouldn't be the only spot you go to.

I decided the this spot since it was indoors mostly and it had rained all day. There were several people helping working the hostess stand. There were several folks walking around gathering info. i.e. Table 15 was paying etc. The noise is busy and charming. There are several TVs streaming sorts. Go sports! You can stand at the end of the bar and order drinks if you like while you wait. After I was seated, I was promptly brought water and had my order taken. I got a cup of chowder and the lobster roll (hot with butter). I got both my chowder and lobster roll in under 10 mins of ordering. Well oiled machine. The chowder was hot and salty and creamy. The perfect combo with the rainy weather. The lobster roll was good but I wish it would have been hot. It was closer to room temp than hot. The lobster roll was marked market price and was 40$. The cup of chowder was 10$. Overall good spot when you have the time to wait but not worth the 40$ price for the lobster roll.
