We were up the street at another brewery and the bartender they actually recommended us to check out Portico since they were nearby. It was a short walk and we actually really enjoyed this location not only because the beers are phenomenal especially that chroma, but also because we had great friendly service and they've got a huge location so there's plenty of room for people to spread out. Because it was a nice day out they didn't have the doors open, but there is plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor if you want to just enjoy. Another cool note about this place is they have legos so you can build to your heart's content. Also love that their the pulls on their beer are made of legos.

This brewery seems to be semi new. The space is huge and very clean. They have like bowls of legos that you can build with at the bar. Staff is friendly. They have bar seats, long tables with chairs and sitting area with couches i believe and more tables. They also have a great outdoor space where you could play cornhole or just enjoy your food and drinks. Highly recommend checking it out. Though it is kind of hidden but once you see it you cant miss it.

Very relaxing vibe on a beautiful day with huge open air bay doors

Solid local brewery - friendly staff and good beers. Really nice space too! Worth checking out if you're in Somerville or around Union Sq!

They have a wonderful selection of beers and the people who work there are super nice. I hear the trivia nights are fun and hope to go soon

The fact that the beer taps are made out of LEGOs is a unique touch.

We happened to go to Russell House Tavern during Dine Out Boston (aka Restaurant Week). I'm…read morenormally a bit suspicious of prix fixe menus, but I was taken with Russell House Tavern's because none of their prix fixe items were on the menu, and they looked delicious. The prix fixe menu was $46 for an appetizer, entree and dessert. I got the French onion soup (with short rib!), duck cassoulet and the profiteroles. The French onion soup was more substantial than a typical French onion soup which is saying something - cheesy, breast and meaty. I probably could have just eaten the French onion soup. The duck cassoulet and profiteroles were solid, and I particularly enjoyed the duck confit. Wonderful service.

I'm so conflicted because I've been here so many times and each time is a little different…read more Unfortunately most of that difference winds up on the "meh" end of the scale. The place flirts with a nice classy vibe but there's something, I don't know, cheap about it. Like the Hollywood studio version of a speakeasy - it was only meant to be used for a couple of scenes and now it's been here for years. And this is really no fault of theirs but when you have a bunch of screaming trust funders sloshing their drinks around, it really washes the class right out. This is maybe more a review of Harvard than this place. The food is also pretty generic and unconscionably expensive. It's the $20 burger effect - if a place has a $20 burger on your menu, it has forgotten how food works. It has become a social experiment. One thing I will say is the staff is very attentive and nice - promotes this from a bad place to a meh place - kind of inoffensive. Again - maybe that's kind of a review of Harvard Sq, generally.
