I wish I could review in separate sections... Service was incredible! We ordered the pretzels which were good. I ordered the blackberry and burrata cheese. This also came with arugula and balsamic glaze... that sounds like an explosion of flavors but it was a disappointment. There wasn't much flavor at all. My friend for the margarita pizza which she said was fine so maybe just get the basic pizza if you go.
Very cute addition to Malden Square. I moved to the south a few years ago and still can't believe how much Malden square is growing. My friend and I met up for drinks, and I can't believe this is the old bank. Such a great use of space with a unique atmosphere. We didn't order food, but several people got food and sat at the bar, and it looked good! The wine selection isn't the largest, which, duh, it's not a wine bar lol, but I was happy with what they had. There are also a few mocktail options, very cool. I wish these options were here when I was still in Malden! Love all that this place has to offer. Super cute decor.
Stopped by for lunch while in town. Super nice brewery restaurant inside an old bank. Large bar and great service. The menu was solid and food was super delish. Had the ramen tots, fish tacos and mi buddy had the lobster roll. Everything was really good. Beer was pretty good nothing over the top and no NEIPA which is what I look for. Overall great experience and good food.
Cool spot. Our first time visiting and it was more upscale than we were anticipating. The decor was gorgeous, the food was great - the ramen tots did surprisingly taste more like ramen than I thought.
Faces is amazing and I will definitely be back. I went there with my girlfriend, who has been there before, but it was the first time for me. It is located in an old bank that has been thoroughly modernized. I had a fantastic Caesar salad. Their flagship beer is called "progression" and I had one and it was amazing.
Pretty good for brunch. Really good space and ambiance. Yogurt dish was not bad, wish it had come with some maple syrup or other syrup to add some moisture. The compote did a bit but it wasn't very interesting flavor wise. Really liked the cinnamon pretzel bites though they felt more like mini buns. There were so many of them! And the butter was delicious! Def my favorite part of the food. The home fries in the hash skillet were rather disappointing not much crunch or flavor. Not much flavor in that dish overall to be honest.
A group of us came on a Saturday night and it was surprisingly not crowded. We ordered a few beers and got the truffle + goat pizza. Food is a bit on the pricey side. I tried 3-4 beers and the beer is decent, nothing to rave about honestly. We all enjoyed the truffle + goat pizza (8 slices). It had a nice bottom crust, and the flavors went well together. Service was good as our waitress checked in on us often. The space looks quite nice, like an elevated sports bar. They have several TVs at the bar, booths with chandeliers above them, regular seating tables and high tops. Bathrooms are clean. It's a decent brewery if I'm already in the area and don't want to travel more, however there are better opinions nearby.
5 star atmosphere, 4 star beer and food. Stopped by on a Friday night and had no trouble getting a table for two. It definitely filled up throughout our meal, but it's not nearly as packed as most other Boston breweries. First of all, I can't say enough good things about the space itself. It's a huge open room with a big bar in the middle, and the decor is so cute. Think typical funky brewery vibes meets trendy touches like huge chandeliers, plant walls, pink flamingo wall paper in the bathroom, etc. Now for the important stuff: the beer. Our absolute favorite was the Progression. It's not super hazy, but has everything else you love and expect from a NE IPA. We moved on to some 5 oz pours next and tried quite a few things. I thought the Ultrawave and Jacuzzi Lovechild were good as well, though my fiancé was not a fan of the Ultrawave, he said it tasted like it had rum mixed in. The Lychee Strawmonster sour however, was absolutely undrinkable. It's soooo sweet that all you get is a syrupy sugar taste. I'm not one to leave craft beer behind, but we had to hand it back to the server after sampling it. Overall the beer menu seems a bit hit or miss compared to other local spots, but it all depends on your preference. Food-wise, we tried the fried pickles, mesquite dry rub bbq wings, and Chorizo + Pineapple pizza (loved the creative pizza options!) I was impressed with the quality for brewery food, and the dry rub wings were definitely the winner. Great spot to hang out if you find yourself in Malden!
Great service, was there for a party and flatbreads and chicken wings were 10/10. This rum honey based drink was so nice I double fisted. Ambiance is pretty casual - private rooms are in old vaults which is neat.
Im so happy to have Faces Brewing in the area! I stopped in for sunday brunch with a friend today and loved it. The aesthetic inside is lovely and the couch seating, greenery and lighting makes it feel like youre in a cozy living room. We sat at the bar and had 100/10 service from Monica!! The coffee was really good and so was the wildberry sour! We shared the Lox toast to start and it was so good. The bread was perfectly crisp but soft and the pickled red onion was a perfect edition. We also each had the Lumberjack and loved it. Everything was super tasty! The french toast was just the slightest bit undercooked but I still ate it all because it tasted outrageously good!! We'll definitely be back soon! Great experience.
First time checking out Faces in Malden and the brunch did not disappoint! The set up and decor is gorgeous inside and it's super spacious. We started with the fruity pebbles donuts which is a definite must have to share! All the brunch dishes we tried were really good including the Salmon toast, French toast, and Benedict. Service was amazing and the staff was super attentive. Some of the dishes took a bit long to come out compared to others but overall a great experience! Definitely check out brunch here if you're in the area.

Food: Chocolate mousse was mixed with strawberry. Interesting take on it, but my friend and I still finished it though haha. My friend really enjoyed her drink! Service: Fast (we only got dessert and a drink, haha). Ambiance: Very sleek and modern bar. It seems very clean and refined as well. read more

Fantastic spot to meet up with friends, watch games, and just hang out! Came here with a few friends on a Friday evening and the place was lively but not too busy. We had no trouble grabbing a table for 8+ people and the staff was more than accommodating for when our numbers fluctuated between 4 and 8, allowing us to switch tables as we pleased. We were given more than enough attention with our waiter returning to ask if we needed anything else quite often. Their pear sangria was delicious and had a great portion size as well. The pickles were tasty as well! I would just say their food in general was a little pricy - I'd probably eat elsewhere and get drinks here after. Overall, I would gladly recommend this spot as a place to hang out and meet up with friends. The space is large and makes it easy to accommodate several parties at once so I think there won't be much of a wait and it wouldn't be too loud either. Thanks, Faces! read more

Been here a bunch of times as the food is very good and beer is great. Even the brunch is very well done (chicken and waffles is very tasty but heavy). My only gripe is the kitchen closing early and the food is very expensive for a brewery. Keep in mind if you go on the weekends at night, it will be extremely loud. read more

We came in on Feb 2 for national tater tot day and these tots DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! The ramen seasoning was amazing and such a unique spin on traditional tots. We also had a salad (AMAZING) and pizza (just OK). I was worried about it being overly crowded on a Friday night but it was easy to get a spot at the bar and the service was speedy! We will be back. read more
Enjoyed our meal here. Brussel sprouts were plentiful and so very delicious. And my salmon BLT was yummy. Service was nice too. My drink, Emperor's New Groove, was lovely and well balanced. If I had to make one change, I would love to see more entree-style items on the menu verses sandwiches. Would likely make me return sooner to try more things. read more

I've had Faces before, almost a year ago and Iaonly tried there apps and it was your standard. So this Saturday when my friend and I went we were hoping to get brunch. We called prior and was told by the host that it stops at 3, we made it by 2pm and once we were seated and served it was around 2:10 give or take. All this to say, once our waitress started to serve us we asked for a brunch meal and her response had my friend and I floored. Her response, "brunch ends at 2pm." This is why they didn't get a 5 star from me because there is lack of communication. Our hearts were initially set on brunch but we ended up ordering dinner. For starters we ordered their corn dog it was good and fried, it had this great sauce that was paired well with it. Then my friend and I ordered the Southern chicken. I had high expectations for this sandwich and Faces succeeded. It had a hint if spice with coleslaw that was filled with flavor and fresh pickles. The fries were light and airy. I'm definitely coming back for brunch. As for my waitress she was decent. Didn't gage in much conversation and barely checked in. Food: 8.5 Customer service: 6.5 read more
You--you fancy huh? Oh, you fancy, huh? Should have been playing as we were at Faces. Drakes Fancy is the epitome of Faces brewing. The NE Brewery vibe is down to earth. Usually kid friendly. Interesting menu's. Jovial wait staff who care out what they are serving. That's our vibe and this place was too fancy for us for a brew hop day. Site of the first US bank robbery. We did look up the story on our car ride and our whole family was captivated by it. We get there and my eyes were immediately drawn to the right side of the room with the wall of hanging potted flowers. Very junglesque. I immediately fell in love with the table that was an old vault door- pretty nifty! The hostess alerted us they do not have high chairs so I asked for a table near the window that had the best chairs for my toddler to sit in. It was a rainy Saturday afternoon. They were hosting a birthday party and a baby shower. This place is large enough to accommodate this and have people eating/drinking in the restaurant which was not packed (maybe only 3/4 tables seated.) But our waiter seamed uninterested in servicing our table. We barely saw him and we didn't get the vibe he wanted to tell us about their beer. As I walked into the bathroom I saw the beautiful gold and black art deco wallpaper in the rear, the beautiful vault door and the well done graffiti inside the vault (tasteful.) I stepped into the ladies restroom and how beautiful! The flamingo wall paper and gold mirrors with the faces logo on the bathroom stall doors. Top notch attention to detail here! Immediately I felt this place does not give off typical brewery vibes. As I walked back to our table I walked under a row of chandeliers! What I don't understand- the logo is 3 dog heads and how that ties to such a fancy interior. The ramen tots, lightly seasoned. needs more! The salt and pepper wings: perfect crisp and great flavor. My husband said the beers were solid 3.75's on untapped. Oh Drake- they are fancy! read more

This is strictly a food review. Food was mediocre at best and the music was very loud so you couldnt even really hear the person sitting next to you. Service was normal. What we got: Pretzel bites: this was good, the beer cheese was very tasty! Poutine: straight disrespect to call this poutine. There was no gravy at all. Basically fries topped with some short ribs. Nashville hot chicken sandwich: the chicken slice was so thin that it soaked up all of the oil that went into frying it. When I bit into it, it was a big bite of oil and a little spice. Sausage and peppers pizza: this was ok but as a new yorker, my standards for pizza are pretty high. The bottom doesn't have a crunch but it was great and crisped up as left overs when reheated on a cast iron pan the next day. Flavor was good though! Probably won't come back for the food but maybe the drinks are worth it? read more

Faces Brewing is an incredible gem in Malden, MA, just a quick ride on the orange line from downtown Boston. My friend and I walked in for brunch without a reservation at 11:15 on a Saturday and were immediately seated. The ambiance is beautiful featuring private tables for small and large parties, greenery draping the walls, along with a very large bar in the center. Our waitress, Monica, was a delight, as was the entire team working! We tried family style dining ordering the fried pickles, poutine, burrata and prosciutto, Brussels sprouts, and a breakfast platter. Everything was absolutely delicious, though we agreed that the brussels sprouts were lacking in flavor amongst the rest of the really flavorful dishes. For drinks we had a few rounds of Bellinis, Bloody Maria's, and finished with breakfast shots that gave us a nice buzz. Will definitely be returning! Enjoy! read more

the worst experience, especially with the service of the hostess. I placed an order online for pickup and when it arrived there were 5 minutes left before the estimated time on the application. The hostess didn't even want to check if the order was ready even though parking was difficult. I ordered some wings with sauce that they didn't add and a pizza with a modification that they didn't make either. ZEROOOOO RECOMMENDED, I hope they care about improving. read more

Came here last night for a quick bite and really enjoyed it. It was 9p on a Saturday so the atmosphere was more of a bar scene than restaurant vibe but we enjoyed the music and the vibe all around. Vibe: Inside is very well designed with cool wallpaper, tile and light fixtures. Would be nice for a date night or drinks with friends. Drinks: The Wicked Garden was good but pricey. The Progression IPA was my favorite that we tried. Food: We had the buffalo wings and caesar salad which are pretty easy to make meals but they were good. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked good. Definitely want to try a few of their sandwiches next time. Overall, would definitely recommend. read more
