Fantastic spot sitting on a quiet little park with fantastic beer. Spent a lovely afternoon here sipping the day away. They've got a great selection of fantastic bruise and some wonderful snacks. Great space, great beer, great time. read more

Love this place!!! Plenty of seating (especially in the summer when there is outdoor seating) beautiful ceiling to floor windows with a view of CX Cambridge. The kindest servers who will answer any questions you have about selections or recommendations. Reasonably priced which is great. They also have snacks you can order with your drink! It's such a beautiful area to hangout and they also have yoga on Sundays, trivia, etc. Definitely check out their page for events! read more

Lamplighter Cambridge Crossing - Flight - Beer Bar Near Me - Cambridge, Massachusetts

Went here on a Friday afternoon and when we arrived there were only two other people there and one bartender. I love the place - nice and clean, great taproom, more than enough seating, and the beer was delicious! Got drafts of Rabbit Rabbit NE DIPA and Werewolves of Cambridge Porter - the Porter was my favorite and so good! Bartender was nice, professional, attentive. It was a nice chill spot. Definitely recommend visiting this brewery! read more

I really liked lamplighter! I went here specifically for the outdoor space. I got the "blame it on my juice" beer and I really liked it despite not being a beer drinker! I also got the $1 snack mix which was a fun mix of Doritos pretzels cheese it and Cheetos, such a nice value! The upstairs part was cool and quaint. There's standing room and a little rail for your drinks on the terrace. It has a cute little view and I loved the vibes. read more

Came here for drinks once after work and had a really nice time! There was a table open for us in a super well-lit area and things felt really clean and overall really pleasant. The space itself only had a few tables available (unsure if there are more besides the main area) so depending on the time, you might want to plan to be early so you for sure grab a table if you have a larger group. We went up to the bar to grab drinks and the person working was pretty friendly and fast with service. The kombucha I got was nice to drink - I enjoyed the flavor and the portion seemed fair for the price I got. I enjoyed my experience here and probably will come back with coworkers in the future for something like it after - thanks, Lamplighter! read more

I've been to the other Lamplighter location on Broadway a bunch of times before, but this was my first time at the Cambridge Crossing location. I'm a huge fan! I came for an event in the upstairs space, which was absolutely perfect for a large group. The balcony area was especially awesome! I'm not a big beer fan, so I just had kombucha, but it was nice to see that they had a non-alcoholic option available. The staff was really good about walking us through the options available. They also had a huge charcuterie board for the event, which was delicious. I wasn't expecting such high quality charcuterie from a brewery! You could really tell that all the ingredients were fresh and the aesthetics of the board itself were impressive. I will have to come back soon, especially this summer! read more

Beer was not to my husband's liking. He got a flight and usually likes just about anything so this really stood out as an anomaly of a beer experience for him. Food choices extremely limited. Service weak - the bartender was mildly cordial but didn't seem that interested in serving us, on a slow afternoon in June. Ambiance so-so...nicer sitting outside than in but nothing great. Wouldn't choose to go back. read more

Wonderful space to work. Great beer and great coffee. Welcoming environment and staff!

A beyond excellent addition to Cambridge Crossing! We always say, we're lucky to have a place like Lamplighter so conveniently located for a night when you want out, but nothing inconvenient. You're greeted at the door by a staff member checking your ID and providing a stamp. They directed us over to the downstairs bar & gave us the low down. I ordered the rabbit rabbit and LOVED this IPA! This location is quaint and perfect for the community. Friendly, low cost, and even has lots of great entertainment with a cheese board station and coasters with puzzles. read more

This is a brewery bar and the ambiance is clean and modern. The service and recommendations was outstanding. The beer was very good.

I'm a regular at Lamplighter's other location so I was super excited to try this new spot. The building is bright, airy, and beautifully designed. There are two floors with a bar and lots of seating on each, games available to borrow, a small merch counter, and even a little shuffleboard section below the stairs - it's definitely not a bad spot to enjoy a couple of beers. I visited on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm and the place was already packed. I was lucky enough to get seating at the bar when someone left, but my only request for this place is that they add a section of tables that accepts reservations. I have a feeling that it will just be harder and harder to find space to stand or sit here as its popularity increases. The beer selection is amazing, as you'd expect from Lamplighter, and there's a number of funky barrel-aged options that I've never seen at the other location. I tried to only order things I haven't had before and ended up trying the Neon Nights, Snowbird, Mango Street, Apricot Rhapsody, and Cranes in the Sky between myself and my boyfriend (They offer both full and half pours so you can try a lot if you go with the smaller glasses). I honestly enjoyed everything, but Mango Street and Neon Nights were the winners in my book. Last but not least, if you go here, GET ONE OF THEIR DROOL-WORTHY CHEESEBOARDS. Everything on the board we ordered was amazing and it was all locally sourced, which I love. I can't wait to come back again as the weather warms up and they set up their outdoor patio. If you're into craft beer and find yourself in the Cambridge area, this one's a can't miss. read more

Definitely the most chill brewery I went to on my vacation. I'm visiting from out of town and I love to take at least one day and brewery hop to all the local spots. Unfortunately that day, it was raining badly. Lamplighter was a quiet, chill spot with a farmers market - style event going on. I went upstairs and read my book. Bartender was very friendly. They also have more than just beers (maybe ciders or seltzers.. sorry I don't remember). I can't say the beer was exceptional, however, I did only have the one. There were kids running around downstairs (family friendly), there were games indoors, and lots of open window space. Super cool vibe! read more

LAMPLIGHTER BREWING CO. - CAMBRIDGE CROSSING This week, we celebrate #InternationalBeerDay - so in honor of the "holiday" we decided to get a jump start and visit another of our brand new neighborhood breweries, "Lamplighter Brewing Co." This fun, vibrant, and quirky local brewery's second location can be found in the brand new Cambridge Crossing neighborhood, next to Lechmere station, is a beautiful spot to enjoy a happy hour - and that is just what we were looking for! When we arrived, thanks to the advice our friend Trish who we meet up with, we made our way upstairs to enjoy there stunning balcony - the perfect place to enjoy a pint...or three! As we had never been here before, and under advisement of the awesome bar staff, we spent the evening working our way through some terrific brews, including: GROUP THEORY - Chamomile Honey Wheat Ale (5.1%): Honeycomb, Lilac, & Biscuit! WEREWOLVES OF CAMBRIDGE - Porter (7.4%): Bittersweet Chocolate, Cold Brew, & Caramel! BLITZEN - Belgian Dark Strong Ale (10.5%): Nutmeg, Fig, & Chocolate-Covered Cherry! LOTUS EATER - Double IPA With Lotus (8%): Creamsicle, Dole Pineapple, & Earthy! As a couple, we are "lucky" enough to have very different tastes in beers, which allows us to sample more offerings! And after a thorough exploration, we have to say no matter what beer you choose, it'll be pleasing on the palette! Plus, if you're in the mood for some more sustenance, you really should check out their totally unique "Charcuterie Cart" - because...charcuterie! This brewery engenders such a sense of community - from the seating arranges to their choice of events, that this is surely a place you can come to and really feel at home! And we can't wait to come back!!! Have you been to either "Lamplighter Brewing Co." location? What was your favorite beer on tap? And, mostly important, please let us know where we should check our next! read more

Had a quick beer with co-workers. I had Current. It was great! Outdoor sheeting is spacious and cozy. Good to have brewing place near work. read more

I came here with a large group of friends a few weeks ago. There is plenty of seating and we were able to spread out and relax. The inside of the brewery is beautiful, which you can't always say about breweries. Very warm and homey, not industrial. Laamplighter has a wide range of beers on tap (all at affordable costs), and everything I tried was amazing. The staff were friendly and able to make recommendations. read more

Overpriced and overvalued place. Glass of beer costs like good portion of food. I've ordered blueberry rhapsody and it was meah... especially I felt a smell some kind of soap from my glass. I've seen the comment that personal is rude and I can confirm that too. Just avoid this place. A lot of breweries much better than this one near by. read more

Fun brewery with two Cambridge locations! There are many beer options and tasting flights across a variety of flavor profiles. There are some light bites to snack on with the drinks like cheese and charcuterie boards. Came here on a rainy weekday evening and there were still a good number of people here! There are two floors with a bar and seating options on each floor. Servers and bartenders are very friendly and made my experience at Lamplighter very enjoyable! read more

Love this new place! Only wish they made it bigger since it gets so packed so fast. As soon as they open on the weekends, its busy. Lots of great options and the bartenders are quick. You can also order from Cafe Beatrice next door and they will bring it to you. Dog friendly! read more

We love this brewery! My boyfriend and I have come a few times since they opened and it's always packed! It's located in Cambridge Crossing, just a few steps away from the new Lechmere stop on the green line! It's much bigger than their other location in Cambridge (2 full stories!) so there are a lot of tables and spaces to hang out. They also have so many games like shuffleboard, Jenga, connect 4, you name it! Right now, they're only serving beer and charcuterie boards, but they let you bring in your own food from other places. Our favorite board is The "Gouda Vibes" or the "G.O.A.T." They also have a few non-alcoholic drinks on the menu like Cold Brew coffee and kombucha! Overall great place to hang out with friends after work or on the weekends! read more

Brand new, much awaited brewery in Cambridge Crossing between Cafe Beatrice and Tatte! I was so excited to find out Lamplighter would be opening this tasting room. As of my writing (mid-February), the brewery is not yet open for tastings however I got a glimpse into the space: they are currently open for take out beer and charcuterie boards! They have a pretty extensive menu for both, see photos. I already love the atmosphere that this location emanates: plenty of natural sunlight and modern greenery. There appears to be a nice upstairs lounge area as well. I highly look forward to bringing my friends to sample different varieties of local beers while snacking on our charcuterie :) The team members I met were also super kind and equally as excited to get the show on the road! They shared with me they will most likely fully open in early March! read more

I love this place! I've been twice and it's been easy to have our own table each time. I appreciate getting a few samples to try before I pick a beer, and I always find something I like. Last time, I tried the cheese board as well - a bit pricey but high quality and delicious. I especially like sitting upstairs and looking over the trees. If only parking was easier, I would come here all the time. As it is, I will definitely be back! read more

Love Lamplighter! I love the CX space and prefer it over the Cambridge one. They have an upstairs space with a balcony for the warmer weather. The space is so comfortable and inviting, I love hanging out with groups here. Parking is also a bit easier than the other location as there is more available street parking in the immediate area. Beer selection is also great, similar to the Cambridge taproom. I also love that they have frequent community events which are always fun to attend. Would highly recommend for a group to hang out and enjoy some beers together! read more

OK .. good location..bike path etc But price for a beer? where do you start with $9 for a 12 oz pour... If you add tip ... I can't afford to treat this as a local..I live in Somerville . It's just out of my $ market. Why do brew pubs price their beers so high? I understand location and rent costs ...but really, this is not welcoming to a beer/pub/local person You don't even get a minuscule US 16oz pint... Europe would giggle... Real pints are 20 oz in UK ... Europe serves Half or full litres of beer Come on USA! read more

We rented out the 2nd floor for a Welcome Party for our son's wedding. The staff was super helpful and easy to work with leading up to our event. They allowed us to bring in pizzas and completely take over the place. Our guests, of course, loved the beer but also the upstairs balcony overlooking the tranquil water out back. Can not say enough about the perfect location within walking distance from the Royal Sonesta where the wedding guests stayed. LOVED IT!! read more

Fantastic casual spot. They host fun events. Excellent beer selection. Tons of seating options, but I do wish the upstairs area was open more frequently. Street parking available around. They don't really offer any food options, but you can always bring food to eat there. read more

INCREDIBLY rude and dismissive staff members that move like snails. I've seen bartenders put together a scorpion bowl in less time than it takes these people to pour a beer. Of course, if you're gluten-free, there's NOTHING for you here. A group of about 15 work colleagues and I went there last week, expecting to go upstairs, and were told that it was closed. This was after the person who planned the gathering confirmed the day before that upstairs would ABSOLUTELY be open and available at 5:00pm on the day of our event. We were then RUDELY told that it wasn't, and then instructed to "just go over there and relax". I guess they don't want patronage by their new corporate neighbors, which is beyond foolish. read more

Came here on a Monday night. It wasn't very busy - plenty of indoor seating, but all the seats outside downstairs were taken. This location is super new, it has a great indoor space and board games + cards to play. All the staff are so warm and welcoming. You can ask for samples at the bar too! I got the Blame it on My Juice and the Cloud City. Definitely recommend this place as a chill hangout spot! read more

After spending over $50 on beers here on our vacation from California. As soon as we stepped outside to enjoy the park they wouldn't allow my girlfriends entry to use the restroom. Visited Lamplighter CX this past Sunday. The space is really nice and my friend and I had a great time! Parking is a bit tough in the area, but we called and spoke with Gui who helped us with some great tips to find a street parking spot - but he didn't stop there! Once we made it in, Gui helped us choose the perfect brews - the Lamp Lager to keep it light and crisp for my Bud Light loving companion and something darker and more interesting for me with the Cuppa. A breath of fresh air to the Cambridge Crossing space! Lamplighter is so welcoming in this space. I love the revolving beer list and the location overlooks the water out back. We will definitely be back with friends the large tables are perfect for groups! read more

The Pros The place has Chipotle vibes, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Since I live in the CX Area (I can see my apartment out of the window), I will be there often. The place is very clean and the staff is quite friendly. It's nice to be able to avoid college kids, although it's beyond me why people bring babies and toddlers there. I will say it is family friendly for those who want to bring their kids. They even have high chairs available. With exposed ventilation (the very sterile Chipotle look) and large ceiling fans, outdoor balconies, I'm sure I'll appreciate this place far more in the summer. Very clean- someone is constantly picking up and wiping the tables down. The Cons There was only one option for light beer left (and it wasn't that light) and I showed up early in the afternoon. How could a brewery run out of beer? All that was left were dark stouts and heavy IPAs. Not enough non-alcoholic options. No hot drinks available. Also, you have to order at the bar- or at least that's what I was told by someone who was cleaning. It would be nice if- at least while I have a tab open, someone could take my order and relay it to the bar. If I come by myself I have to leave my belongings in my seat. I haven't been to the other one so I can't compare. It could use better music, too. Not enough bar seating but plenty of space for it. read more

Such a great spot for a group gathering! They have a wide selection of beer & it's bring your own food which is great because there is a Tatte and another cafe nearby if you wanted to grab something in the area. The interior is really nice and lot of communal tables on the top floor. It did get crowded as the afternoon passed, getting there at noon was a perfect time. read more

Very decent place to relax and enjoy local beer with friends. Trivia nights are pretty fun too.

If you are plant based and you come here expecting at least one option to snack on that isn't pickles, you need to BYOS. There's no snack options that don't include meat or cheese. If you're not hungry, then the location + atmosphere + beer is good. read more

Lamplighter CX, a taproom/brewery, is exactly what we needed for a central location to meet and drink with friends. The taproom is immaculate and well lit, and there is plenty of seating which gave us the ability to stay socially distanced. For a Saturday night, it was crowded but not overbearing at all....it holds a lot of people! The staff here is extremely friendly and available. Our table was cleared as soon as glasses were empty and every employee chatted us up and answered our questions. The selection is amazing. The menu is filled with unique flavors and seasonal choices, it was hard to pick a couple for a flight. Lamplighter CX is the best thing to happen to this neighborhood since the Green Line Extension. read more
