[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cool spot, but a little bit overwhelming on the inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went here as part of the October fest celebrations, and was impressed by their selection of beer and Jagermeister combinations from Germany. At the end of the day, they really only had pauliner, but this was enough to have a good time. I was also impressed by the kasespatzle on their menu, but did not have a chance to order it. Service on the patio area was fine, but sparse.

For our twentieth wedding anniversary my husband and I tried axe throwing and we ended the night by walking across to Bronwyn for a traditional German dinner to celebrate all the bullseyes . [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were in luck because it was so quiet. The bar was full but the tables were not and we were able to sit outside on the side patio. It was great weather and not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was very attentive and I was able to try three draught beers in tiny boot shaped shot glasses including an interesting Smokey one before settling on the house lager which is my comfort zone. When we were leaving the party at the bar was taking group shots off a SKI . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was great, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was fun.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'd definitely go back and I recommend highly!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Bronwyn knows how to make an impression. From the minute I reached the door, it was telling us who it was - wide, iron-strapped wood on an oversized door.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside, long trestle tables and oversized, mismatched chairs with upholstery and finials give the place an ancient feel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was solid. The langos was one of the best dishes I've had in a while, but my schnitzel was only fairly good. Portion sizes are breathtaking-- my husband's pork shank was built like a medieval fortress. Service was friendly, and their drinks menu was much more experimental than you find most places in Camberville these days. Not all of them were hits, but they were all fun.

Delicious food. I got the German pancakes, they were incredible; soft and fluffy on the inside, the bottom was slightly crispy from the pan. They used high quality maple syrup. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a super cute ambiance. Very well decorated in a rustic germain style. Very unique and enjoyable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was quick and friendly. This is a great restaurant for brunch, especially if you're looking for a new and exciting place to try out.

Went for the special Oktoberfest menu. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Seating was outside under heaters, which made for a brisk but comfortable meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great German beers on tap and the food was all excellent. My husband got the king's feast and was stuffed on about half of it. I got the shnitzel with warm potato salad. Dessert was a German chocolate custard. Service was festive,in dirndls and lederhosen, and also very attentive, even outside. Recommend!

German style bar foods, plated very aesthetically. We got pretzel, wieners, potato pancakes, mushroom flatbread. Everything came out very quickly and tasted great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat at the outdoor picnic tables and it was such a cute secluded seating area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cocktails were great and decently strong!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little place in Somerville with fun Oktoberfest vibes and decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The schnitzel was good and it was large enough for two people. The portions were big and could be shared with a full table.

Overall: what a vibe! Never been to Germany but this spot has some classics! Obviously can't pronounce half the dishes, but the beers and grub are can't miss. Food: start off with a classic pretzel and dip in the mustard or cheese. It ain't your normal Auntie Anne's as it has that chewiness typical of pretzel that's been freshly made. The Spaetzle is incredibly interesting as it's basically poutine disguised as potato pasta noodles. It's still pretty delicious as it has that gooey cheesy bacon mix with a mix of some curds? The Schnitzel is a whopping pork cutlet that has a really flavorful mushroom bechamel like sauce. The pork itself isn't too dry and it's done pretty thinly so the fry is incredibly crisp. It also comes with two huge scoops of potatoes. Dijon mustard really brings out the best in the potato. Drinks: huge range of beers and their Weihenstaphen comes in three different boot sizes! The cocktails were also pretty tasteful as well. Ambience/Service/Decor: I'm surprised there were no Munich or Dortmund banners hanging as it had the sort of vibe. The service was incredibly quick and nice giving our large party space to finish the food and enjoying the time.

Love a fun decorated restaurant and this was exactly that! It was a whole woodsy German pub feel that my friends and I were so craving one particular weekday! From their ambiance to food and drinks, everything was spectacular! I felt like I was transported out of Mass! I got their spitzle, a thick flour like pasta that's pan friend which was such an interesting and fun texture and so good! My friend got the schnitzel which was giving jollibees mushroom patty if you've ever been there, and I relished every second of chewing that thing! I wish I could've seen this place decked out for Oktoberfest, I'm sure they go crazy with it!

We walked in later in the evening and got seats outside. The server was nice. I got the Stiegl, a refreshing grapefruit radler, and we shared the Langos. The Langos was delicious.

Stopped by here after axe-throwing across the street and am so glad I finally got around to trying this spot! It's a cute German bar/biergarten and restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great food. I definitely won't claim to be an expert on German food, but we were all super happy with our experience, and I would definitely visit again. We started with the pretzel and haus sausage appetizers. The best part of the pretzel was the sauces, but the sausage was sooo tasty. The spicy mustard served with both was spot on - I would buy this stuff by the jar if they were selling it. For entrees, everyone opted for either the Brondog, Bronburger, or the Schnitzel. The schnitzel was my personal favorite, it was cooked perfectly with the creamiest mushroom sauce. (I later learned that Bronwyn's chef won an episode of Beat Bobby Flay with this dish a while back, pretty cool!) The Brondog is another famous dish, it was featured on the Travel Channel as one of America's best hot dogs, and it certainly didn't disappoint. As you can guess, everything here is pretty heavy and the entrees are served with a mountain of potatoes--definitely come hungry. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for. There's a nice beer and wine selection, and all the fun European decor and outdoor seating are the icing on the cake.

A majority of the drinks were more on the savory side which was very interesting like "may all your bacon burn" with bacon bites at the top of the drink. The drinks my friend had were all stunning with the use of egg yolk to elevate the drink. We ended the evening by walking over to Bow Market and trying Viet Citron which was so DANG GOOD my gosh. The to go orders were insane but looks like they are doing very well despite recently opening in. I got the grilled lemongrass pork ribs bowl and youtiao and the side sauce was so good. It was pretty busy and we were seated at the bar which was a little crowded. Loved the decoration, it was black interior with red lighting and interesting seating arrangement with tables down the middles and plants around. For drinks we got the Saigon Sunset which had a little sour flavor and was my personal favorite, the Gimme with an interesting flavor, and the Old Fashioned which is what you expect (old fashioned are not for me). The bartender was great, he was so patient even with how busy it was making sure to always check up. For food, the Goi Ca/Fluke was so good. It was flavorful and the texture. The peanut butter sauce wasn't too nutty and went so well with the fish. I ate every little piece up. We also ordered the Wagyu Viet Carpaccio which was also good. The eggplant shrimp not so interesting and relatively bland. The main course highlights included the beef short rib and black cod entrees. Both were very well received. So food experience was good overall. The service experience left a lot to be desired. The waitress seemed to be in a rush to get us moved on. No menu explanation or highlights.... nada. She was a little insistent for our whole order at once including drinks. Even though we placed our appetizer order and stated that we would place that a later she was back in 5 minutes (see below about timing) again looking for the main course orders. We waited 15 minutes for our reserved table but that wasn't a big deal. However, the appetizers arrived within 5 minutes of ordering which indicated that they were prepared and ready to go and hence zipped out so fast. I had to request the server to slow things down and he did help that a bit. However, we were done within 50 mins of being seated. So it was not a leisurely meal unfortunately. Perhaps the waitress was overcompensating for the last table going over their allotted 90 mins. I suggest it's worth a visit if you cannot get a reservation for your slot at another restaurant that you want to try. And don't be too surprised that the appetizers come at you before you can say boo! It may set the tempo for the remainder of your visit.

We ordered quickly after perusing the (rather short) menu, most of which was either small plates and cocktails . Our first plate was the hainan chicken arancini. I really liked the contrast in textures between the crispy exterior and the tender chicken and rice mix on the inside. Overall flavour was not bad, too, but I'm not sure that it was exactly good enough to merit the price point of $18. Next was the Xi'an street noodles, which was probably my favourite dish of the meal. The noodles were very well cooked - chewy but not too soft - and I loved the sauce, with the gentle peanut aroma on top of the various spices they used. One comment was that the chilli crisp, which was tasty, was very lacking (in amount) and as a consequence the dish was really not spicy at all. Finally we had the chilli crisp buffalo chicken. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the chicken was boneless (I was expecting something more like chicken wings), which made for very clean eating :) The buffalo sauce was nice (and perhaps a bit spicier than the aforementioned chilli crisp) and the chicken itself was very rich and juicy. Portion size was quite large too and overall I was very happy with this plate. For drinks we ordered the Jaded, which was a fun matcha-themed cocktail (even the marshmallow was matcha-flavoured) and a (spirit-free) cranberry limeade, which was surprisingly refreshing and sweet. Overall a yummy meal, but definitely very expensive. I would be interested to try some more of their cocktails, which seem very creative, but I'm not sure if I would be keen to come again primarily for the food. (To be fair, though, this is often the modus operandi of these restaurants that specialise in small plates and drinks )

It was such a cute hidden area, and I was already excited before we even got to the place. We headed upstairs into the bar, and the vibe was perfect. I ordered the Elly the Elephant and my friend got the Laughing Gull, and we both really enjoyed our drinks. One thing I thought was really nice is that they allow you to grab food from the surrounding restaurants and bring it in to eat there. We didn't end up doing that, but we did get the charcuterie board they had. It came with cheeses, crackers, and some fruit, and you can add meats for $10, which we opted out for. I will say I was a little disappointed by the fruit portion. The menu mentioned fresh fruit, so I expected more than three thin orange slices and one sliced strawberry. HOWEVER, when I asked for more strawberries, our waiter kindly brought out a whole bowl for me, which I really appreciated. We stayed for about two hours, and as the night went on the place definitely got more crowded, so we headed out. Overall, this is such a cute and cozy cocktail bar. I'll definitely be back when the weather is warmer to try the other drinks and restaurants in the market.

This was our first time at Viale and restaurant week is always a good way to try somewhere new. Unfortunately our party of 3 all agreed Viale was a miss, especially for the price point. I ordered the salmon crudo, swordfish, and tiramisu. The salmon in the crudo was fresh as was the avocado, but it felt bland and like it was missing multiple ingredients - salt? Citrus? My friend said the sauce with the fried cauliflower she ordered didn't pair well with the cauliflower. The mains were the strong point of the meal - my swordfish was cooked well but still felt like it was missing something and I desperately wanted to ask for a lemon wedge but didn't get the opportunity to. My friend said her chicken parm was very good and my other friend said her crab risotto was decent and better than the salmon crudo. However, the desserts were once again disappointing like the starters. The lemon cheesecake was OK and the berry compote was my friend's favorite part - she ate that and left the rest. My friend's panna cotta was bland and the hazelnuts on it tasted stale or not prepared properly. My tiramisu was soggy and barely had the cream layer - sadly one of the worst tiramisus I've ever had at a formal dining restaurant. The service was a little slow but overall very good. Our server Marcelo was very good at checking in and keeping our water glasses full. There was complimentary bread which I really appreciated while waiting for the dishes. The ambiance was nice! We chose to sit inside for the AC, but I wish we'd chosen to sit outside because the inside was a little loud and we were struggling to hear at some points. This got better later in the evening when the restaurant was less full. All in all, it was an interesting experience. But the disappointing food means I won't be back and couldn't give this place more than 3 stars, especially when there are plenty of other restaurants in the Central area to try that can probably do better.
