So friends and I went to Saddle Up Saloon and had no trouble finding parking. Decent sized lot, and the place sits right next to a pond with a manmade spraying in the middle. Really pretty view, especially if you're looking to sit outside. We ended up at the bar, which was fine since we wanted the full bar experience. The vibe inside leans biker themed with an energetic but laid back atmosphere. TVs at the bar were showing sports and game shows, and even though it was mid afternoon and not super busy, there was a fun mix of people chatting and hanging out. Beer selection was decent, and the bartender recommended the buffalo chicken pizza. It took a little longer than expected to come out, but we didn't mind since we were enjoying our drinks. When it arrived, it was piping hot, cheesy, and flavorful. The buffalo sauce had just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming. My only wish: a bit more chicken on top. We also ordered a basket of fries, which looked like steak fries but were actually nicely crispy and had great texture. Perfect for snacking with drinks. Not worth the price. The ambience was great except for the 3 LOUD women at the bar. Keep in mind, there were 3 other couples at tables and one other couple at the bar. That was all! No din to shout over. Where's your "restaurant voice"? I ordered the "1/2 rack of ribs" for $28. One of our go to places charges $28 for a full rack (2 slabs). I received 6 individual ribs. Not a "Rack". The sauce was nothing special, just a commercial bottled product. Not "fall off the bone" tender either. I had to ask for extra napkins too. Most places bring them with the meal. The coleslaw was as tasty as the plastic container it came in. My Wife ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was cut up into small pieces and dry. No way it way 14 oz it was about 3/8" thick. More like 8-10 oz. Part of it was red rare (ordered med/well) . Also had an order of chicken parm...chicken was fine, BUT the sauce was like tomatoe paste...which is exatly what it looked and tasted like. The pasta looked like it had ben re-heated. Walked into the place and it was like a old saloon nice old doors with a steer skull over the bar nice casual place with plenty of sitting room. They have there own pond to sit there in the good weather. Sat at the bar and there was plenty of room bartender was very nice and helpful service was very good. Got maple chicken tenders and potato skins which were very good the chicken was amazing with the maple syrup gave a nice flavor the potato skins were really good as well nice and hot the burgers were really good as well plenty to choose from the menu. We came back to Saddle Up Saloon a second time since it's a convenient halfway point to meet friends--but won't make that mistake again. The parking lot was full, but the restaurant was nearly empty. Turns out a line dancing class was the main attraction. I went to the bar to grab a drink and waited about 10 minutes, even though the bar was the only busy area. I ordered the margarita special and asked for a glass of water--the bartender flat-out said no and told me to get it "from the next room." What next room? As our group arrived, the hostess rudely asked us to move, and when we asked to sit at a high-top table for six, we were told they were reserved. It was 7:40 PM on a weekday, and by the time we left at 9:30, those tables were still empty. We ended up seated alone in the back dining room, which just added to the odd, unwelcoming vibe. Maybe you need to be a regular to be treated decently here--but we'll never be that. Not going back. read more

We have gone to SUS maybe five times, as it is out of the way for us. While every meal has been very good, today was outstanding! I have been on a quest for the best steak tip ever and today I think I found them. SUS passed Tuck-away, Newbridge, Lazy Dog to name a few. All are great but today SUS took the lead in my quest. I've been here a handful of times I've been lucky to have Anna behind the bar during my visits she is so sweet and makes a great drink . Food was tasty but the big thing for me is nothing on TV . One tv just re runs redbull advertisement (BORING) and then the middle tv is all black And the 3rd tv just plays regular tv with no sound .I think it's been like that for over a year . The balance of the food in the menu is extremely inconsistent. I got chili that they've had in the menu for years as soon as it was put in front of me and I could see the cheese wasn't melted. I knew it would be cold, which it was so I had to send it back to get microwave. My wife got the haddock special. It was sticks and pieces of haddock on top of old cold, french fries and onion rings that were fried 45 minutes earlier the meal was disgusting. I should've complained, but I didn't. I would give 0 stars except at least the beer was ok. We went to Saddle Up Saloon on Sunday, 6/8. It was our 1st & last time there. The food bordered on inedible and the service was pretty bad too. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and 2 draft beers. The beers took a long time, even though the place was fairly empty. The nachos had almost no cheese, jalapeños or beans on them but had plenty of unripe tomatoes. We had to ask for salsa and sour cream, it didn't come with them. The tortilla chips tasted like they had been left out overnight. Almost stale taste. Then we got our entrees, fish sandwich and baked Mac and cheese. The fish was way over fried and the baked Mac and cheese was cold and beyond bland. We tried to make the Mac and cheese edible by adding the few jalapeño and salsa we had, but it was so bad, couldn't be saved. When our server did finally check in, she saw that we had over half the nachos left and the baked Mac and cheese was barely touched. She asked us if we didn't like them and we explained that they were awful and we couldn't eat them. She never asked if we wanted anything else or offer to take them off the bill. Instead she just removed the plates and brought us the bill. Worst experience we've had since moving to NH. We paid $100.00 to take a few bites of terrible food and drink a couple of draft beers. We sat at the bar, took about 5 minutes for a bartender to address us, we placed our drink orders, drinks were decent, placed our food order, food took over an hour to come out, my partner ordered a salad and asked the bartender to remove the walnuts due to a nut allergy, salad was loaded with walnuts so we obviously sent it back........ 1 hour and 12 minutes to bring out a new salad, a SALAD not like they had to recook a 12oz steak, it's a salad. anyway, within that hour and 12 minutes I had to ask both bartenders if I could get a second drink multiple times because they kept forgetting I had asked, then once I finally received my second drink it wasn't even made correctly. they have a second room that's separated from the main bar and dining room that's for live entertainment, now there's tables and chairs in this room, but no bar and no waitresses to service the room so everyone seated in this room have to walk up to the bar to not only order drinks but food too, no waitresses for basically what I would call a second dinning room?? I felt like I was at a failing stress test from an episode of Bar Rescue. I hate to have to leave a bad review but I also hope the owners or managers are engaged enough in the business to check their YELP reviews and hopefully try to make things better going forward. read more

After we ate we piled our plates up, the bus girl stopped at our table and said we should have placed our plates closer to the edge so she didn't have to reach. I Had to create a yelp account just to express my disdain for the experience that was given to me! Our table had to wait 2 1/2 hours till all of our food was given to us. Along our journey we watched as all the other tables around us were seen to and as the evening grew longer and our bellies grew emptier. The waitress attending for us was a sweetheart and extremely helpful. I felt awful as I could imagine the dismay she felt ushering in false promises of food we both knew was not coming. After the second hour we began to feel fed up and spoke to the owner only after he hounded my friend about moving a car that did not belong to him! All that was offered for the time we had spent waiting for our food was 20% off. My time is much more valuable than that and I could have spent it much more efficiently. Needless to say, I do not feel that our plight was taken adequately and the apologies seemed insincere at best. Everyone in my party felt extremely disrespected and I especially do not appreciate the tone that was taken with my girlfriend. I am sure others have had smooth, positive experiences at this establishment and I am happy for those people. To that I would say pray that it does go smoothly. Wasn't sure what to expect, went because I saw some of their dinner specials on social media. Saddle up is a 40 minute ride for us. However, we were so glad we made the trip. Everything from appetizers to desserts was excellent!!! Nachos with pulled pork hit the spot. I got the haddock special. So fresh and flavorful. Perfect blend of butter and garlic. Everyone else at the table loved their entrees. Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was excellent. Cocktails were on point! I really was hoping to find some redeeming quality and was not trying to be critical , I gave it a second try with an open mind. My friends and I visited the sus today for the first time,actually pretty excited to have a line dancing/ western style place to hang out. My friend asked if the Bloody Mary was premixed and the waitress did not know, no problem. I rolled the dice as well as my friend, looked good when it was served until my first slurp. Horrible, not to spicy or anything just tasted rancid like it had been sitting out a while, my friend agreed and we sent it back, not wanting a replacement. I wish this was the last of our story. That said our waitress was great! She was so attentive and apologized for the lack of quality and I cannot say enough about the the staff,awesome. We ordered two saddle up burgers and a half rack of ribs (burgers were requested to be cooked medium). Ugh! The ribs were awful! They looked boiled! Showed up with a milky white look with a thin strip of barbecue sauce on them, Luke warm at best and a grey color! two bites is all we needed to send it back. The burgers were dripping with greasy blood and barely edible but my friends were to nice to send it back. Fast forward to later on, we all got sick in various degrees. After waiting 3 hours for food, and even not coming out with the correct orders, we only received a small discount, as the owner complained about "losing his profit". The taps must be filthy. The beer tasted rancid and the soda was undrinkable too. The food wasn't even warm. Never mind hot and tasted like it had been out of the refrigerator, too long. I took my daughter here for dinner, at her request, the night before she moved off to college. We had Brie as a server. She was nice, but it took over 45 min to get our appetizer and an additional 45 to get our entrees. When the food arrived, everything was dried out and had clearly been sitting. The loaded tater tots were one congealed mass and both greasy and dry at the same time. They were flavored well and we just picked them apart. My daughter got fried pickles which were dried out and my pulled pork sandwich was inedible as was the hot, melted plastic cup of cole slaw. The fries looked awesome but were rubbery and hard. We literally ate 2 bites before I pulled Brie over and asked for the check. She looked at our full plates, but didn't ask any questions. We had already stayed longer than anticipated and waiting another 45 minutes for fresher food was not an option. My daughter said the food and service wasn't that bad the last time she went and felt really bad about it. We had our wedding here on the August 31st, leading up to our special day , the crew, managers and owner helped us and reassured us that everything would be perfect. The day of the wedding, they did not disappoint us. It was truly perfect. They have a beautiful set up. The food was perfect. My guests couldn't be more happy with the party. My DJs raves over how easy it was to set up and how nice the equipment was. The grounds were perfect for our wedding pictures and just to hang out on. Our pictures and videos came out amazing but don't die justice for how awesome this place is. I would have given more stars if I could. Disaster. First, the owner was rude as she sat us and proceeded to run around crazy bumping into me without an apology. Second, the service was horrible. Waited 30 minutes for salads and queso dip for appetizers. The queso dip was super watery and the chips were so salty they were almost inedible. Our burgers were ok, just a bit better than fast food.
