So friends and I went to Saddle Up Saloon and had no trouble finding parking. Decent sized lot, and the place sits right next to a pond with a manmade spraying in the middle. Really pretty view, especially if you're looking to sit outside. We ended up at the bar, which was fine since we wanted the full bar experience. The vibe inside leans biker themed with an energetic but laid back atmosphere. TVs at the bar were showing sports and game shows, and even though it was mid afternoon and not super busy, there was a fun mix of people chatting and hanging out. Beer selection was decent, and the bartender recommended the buffalo chicken pizza. It took a little longer than expected to come out, but we didn't mind since we were enjoying our drinks. When it arrived, it was piping hot, cheesy, and flavorful. The buffalo sauce had just the right amount of kick without being overwhelming. My only wish: a bit more chicken on top. We also ordered a basket of fries, which looked like steak fries but were actually nicely crispy and had great texture. Perfect for snacking with drinks. Overall, this is a great casual spot for grabbing a beer and some solid bar food. Next time, I definitely want to sit out on the patio and enjoy that water view. I'll be back! read more

Summer seafood menu; stick to their beef! Disappointing! Ordered a "shrimp and whole clam" dinner. Only 4 tiny clams! Shrimp was plentiful (but not equal to combo. Maybe stick to "beef dishes" read more

Not worth the price. The ambience was great except for the 3 LOUD women at the bar. Keep in mind, there were 3 other couples at tables and one other couple at the bar. That was all! No din to shout over. Where's your "restaurant voice"? I ordered the "1/2 rack of ribs" for $28. One of our go to places charges $28 for a full rack (2 slabs). I received 6 individual ribs. Not a "Rack". The sauce was nothing special, just a commercial bottled product. Not "fall off the bone" tender either. I had to ask for extra napkins too. Most places bring them with the meal. The coleslaw was as tasty as the plastic container it came in. My Wife ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The chicken was cut up into small pieces and dry. She had to ask for extra dressing just to eat it. The dressing was just bottled and nothing special. Service was OK at best. Not impressed, won't be going back. read more

Went for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Simply stated TERRIBLE. Probably 8 people in the restaurant, all at the bar watching the Patriots lose. Ordered the 14oz rib eye. No way it way 14 oz it was about 3/8" thick. More like 8-10 oz. Part of it was red rare (ordered med/well) . Also had an order of chicken parm...chicken was fine, BUT the sauce was like tomatoe paste...which is exatly what it looked and tasted like. The pasta looked like it had ben re-heated. Will NOT go back...recommend you find another good local restaurant...total waste of money for the food. PS: The glasses they served water in were NOT clean... read more

Dinner was going well until I asked to change a TV station. The bartender asked the front staff, who responded in a dismissive and rude manner because she wanted to continue watching Fox News. Bar staff is the best! Cant wait to come back. Shrimp tacos are delicious and so was the peanut butter espresso martini!

The Saddle Up Saloon has new chefs and the food is amazing. My husband loves the baked haddock and I'm in love with the Caesar Salad. From the appetizers to desert there is something for everyone. Did I mention the breakfast on Saturday and Sundays? Delicious! read more

We came back to Saddle Up Saloon a second time since it's a convenient halfway point to meet friends--but won't make that mistake again. The parking lot was full, but the restaurant was nearly empty. Turns out a line dancing class was the main attraction. I went to the bar to grab a drink and waited about 10 minutes, even though the bar was the only busy area. I ordered the margarita special and asked for a glass of water--the bartender flat-out said no and told me to get it "from the next room." What next room? As our group arrived, the hostess rudely asked us to move, and when we asked to sit at a high-top table for six, we were told they were reserved. It was 7:40 PM on a weekday, and by the time we left at 9:30, those tables were still empty. We ended up seated alone in the back dining room, which just added to the odd, unwelcoming vibe. Maybe you need to be a regular to be treated decently here--but we'll never be that. Not going back. read more

We have gone to SUS maybe five times, as it is out of the way for us. While every meal has been very good, today was outstanding! I have been on a quest for the best steak tip ever and today I think I found them. SUS passed Tuck-away, Newbridge, Lazy Dog to name a few. All are great but today SUS took the lead in my quest. I also have to call out our server. She was slammed which slowed service a bit but she handled the rush like a pro. She laughed and joked about her plight and even asked the bartender to run me over a beer ( she had a tray of apps and burgers for a table of 10...she was great! read more

I've been here a handful of times I've been lucky to have Anna behind the bar during my visits she is so sweet and makes a great drink . Food was tasty but the big thing for me is nothing on TV . One tv just re runs redbull advertisement (BORING) and then the middle tv is all black And the 3rd tv just plays regular tv with no sound .I think it's been like that for over a year . Management should fix the tv and put on some sport games especially with the upcoming season upon us . nfl redzone maybe ? College football Saturdays ?!! More tvs would be awesome and definitely bring in more business !! read more

My wife & I just had dinner here. We local, live around the corner, been here many times. Drinks a good pizza is OK. Some of the appetizers are good. The balance of the food in the menu is extremely inconsistent. I got chili that they've had in the menu for years as soon as it was put in front of me and I could see the cheese wasn't melted. I knew it would be cold, which it was so I had to send it back to get microwave. My wife got the haddock special. It was sticks and pieces of haddock on top of old cold, french fries and onion rings that were fried 45 minutes earlier the meal was disgusting. I should've complained, but I didn't. This is not the restaurant to get New England seafood at. read more

I would give 0 stars except at least the beer was ok. We went to Saddle Up Saloon on Sunday, 6/8. It was our 1st & last time there. The food bordered on inedible and the service was pretty bad too. We ordered nachos as an appetizer and 2 draft beers. The beers took a long time, even though the place was fairly empty. The nachos had almost no cheese, jalapeños or beans on them but had plenty of unripe tomatoes. We had to ask for salsa and sour cream, it didn't come with them. The tortilla chips tasted like they had been left out overnight. Almost stale taste. Then we got our entrees, fish sandwich and baked Mac and cheese. The fish was way over fried and the baked Mac and cheese was cold and beyond bland. We tried to make the Mac and cheese edible by adding the few jalapeño and salsa we had, but it was so bad, couldn't be saved. When our server did finally check in, she saw that we had over half the nachos left and the baked Mac and cheese was barely touched. She asked us if we didn't like them and we explained that they were awful and we couldn't eat them. She never asked if we wanted anything else or offer to take them off the bill. Instead she just removed the plates and brought us the bill. Worst experience we've had since moving to NH. We paid $100.00 to take a few bites of terrible food and drink a couple of draft beers. We would never recommend this place or ever go back. Do yourself a favor and skip this place read more

I'm sure this establishment is loved by some. However, I find it awful. I stopped in after work one night to grab a barstool a what turned out to be a sticky dirty mess. I finally had to as it to be cleaned. With regards to the food expect everything to be microwaved or deep friend. This place is also a "Biker Bar", just something to keep in mind. read more

Anna was AMAZING! From seating us at the front with A happy smile and coming to the table to give the dog water, cheese and tons of attention. I am happy they let my husbands support animal in as some places are very strict about it. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and nachos both phenomenal. Our server was very attentive as well and the Mojito was fantastic. We will be back. Really really hit the spot after a fucking horrible class read more

We have the best server Haleigh, she always goes above and beyond for us, and always does what she can to make our experience enjoyable!

I'll start by saying I've heard great things about the venue, however my experience last night was horrible. We sat at the bar, took about 5 minutes for a bartender to address us, we placed our drink orders, drinks were decent, placed our food order, food took over an hour to come out, my partner ordered a salad and asked the bartender to remove the walnuts due to a nut allergy, salad was loaded with walnuts so we obviously sent it back........ 1 hour and 12 minutes to bring out a new salad, a SALAD not like they had to recook a 12oz steak, it's a salad. anyway, within that hour and 12 minutes I had to ask both bartenders if I could get a second drink multiple times because they kept forgetting I had asked, then once I finally received my second drink it wasn't even made correctly. they have a second room that's separated from the main bar and dining room that's for live entertainment, now there's tables and chairs in this room, but no bar and no waitresses to service the room so everyone seated in this room have to walk up to the bar to not only order drinks but food too, no waitresses for basically what I would call a second dinning room?? I felt like I was at a failing stress test from an episode of Bar Rescue. I hate to have to leave a bad review but I also hope the owners or managers are engaged enough in the business to check their YELP reviews and hopefully try to make things better going forward. read more

I Had to create a yelp account just to express my disdain for the experience that was given to me! Our table had to wait 2 1/2 hours till all of our food was given to us. Along our journey we watched as all the other tables around us were seen to and as the evening grew longer and our bellies grew emptier. The waitress attending for us was a sweetheart and extremely helpful. I felt awful as I could imagine the dismay she felt ushering in false promises of food we both knew was not coming. After the second hour we began to feel fed up and spoke to the owner only after he hounded my friend about moving a car that did not belong to him! All that was offered for the time we had spent waiting for our food was 20% off. My time is much more valuable than that and I could have spent it much more efficiently. Needless to say, I do not feel that our plight was taken adequately and the apologies seemed insincere at best. Everyone in my party felt extremely disrespected and I especially do not appreciate the tone that was taken with my girlfriend. I am sure others have had smooth, positive experiences at this establishment and I am happy for those people. To that I would say pray that it does go smoothly. If an inconvenience does happen then that is what you shall be treated as. Ambience was cool. read more

Wasn't sure what to expect, went because I saw some of their dinner specials on social media. Saddle up is a 40 minute ride for us. However, we were so glad we made the trip. Everything from appetizers to desserts was excellent!!! Nachos with pulled pork hit the spot. I got the haddock special. So fresh and flavorful. Perfect blend of butter and garlic. Everyone else at the table loved their entrees. Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was excellent. Cocktails were on point! Not sure why we were expecting average when we entered, but we left extremely satisfied and even complimented the chef. If this place were closer it would be our go to restaurant. read more

Fun night with Dueling Pianos with my girlfriends. We ordered drinks and food which was good. After we ate we piled our plates up, the bus girl stopped at our table and said we should have placed our plates closer to the edge so she didn't have to reach. She had to scream over the pianos to say this to us. I said, "we don't work here", she is lucky we made it easy for her. I'm not sure how she was raised but this is not appropriate. We told the manager. Hopefully she will be dealt with accordingly. Overall it was a good night. read more

Tried this restaurant pub again without my service dog. The food was horrible, service was ok, the ambiance was dated and noisy. I really was hoping to find some redeeming quality and was not trying to be critical , I gave it a second try with an open mind. I believe the only reason this business survives is it is the only bar open for Miles and located on busy Route 125. Disappointed doesn't begin to express my feelings about this establishment. My friends and I visited the sus today for the first time, actually pretty excited to have a line dancing/ western style place to hang out. We were seated pretty quick despite the holiday craft fair going on in the next room (we did visit and it was awesome). Drinks, yup! My friend asked if the Bloody Mary was premixed and the waitress did not know, no problem. I rolled the dice as well as my friend, looked good when it was served until my first slurp. Horrible, not to spicy or anything just tasted rancid like it had been sitting out a while, my friend agreed and we sent it back, not wanting a replacement. I wish this was the last of our story. That said our waitress was great! She was so attentive and apologized for the lack of quality and I cannot say enough about the the staff, awesome. We ordered two saddle up burgers and a half rack of ribs (burgers were requested to be cooked medium). Ugh! The ribs were awful! They looked boiled! Showed up with a milky white look with a thin strip of barbecue sauce on them, Luke warm at best and a grey color! two bites is all we needed to send it back. The burgers were dripping with greasy blood and barely edible but my friends were to nice to send it back. Fast forward to later on, we all got sick in various degrees. Won't go into details but so really wanted to love this place and my experience was really sad. I am posting some pic of the "medium " burgers. read more

I would do 0 stars if possible, the owner and his wife were incredibly disrespectful and rude. After waiting 3 hours for food, and even not coming out with the correct orders, we only received a small discount, as the owner complained about "losing his profit". Additionally, the owner could be seen walking around and drinking with his wife as we were trying to figure out where our food was. The only good thing was the waitress! We were there for over 3 hours in total. Horrible experience! read more

Took over 2 hours to get our food on a Wednesday night. Sat down at 6pm and didn't get our food till after 8pm. Service was extremely slow.

We were looking forward to try this place for a little while now. We arrived without reservation on Friday night for dinner 7/8/22 and was seated in the overflow area with the pond view. There were a lot of flies in that area. We sat for about 5 min before a waitress Ashley asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered a glass of wine and a mixed drink. The drinks came over and my wife's wine glass was very dirty. After about 10 minutes we saw the waitress again and asked for a clean glass for the wine and she took our order. She returned with a new class that was also very dirty. The waitress didn't even look to make sure the 2nd glass was clean. We didn't eat much of the food and got the check and left. read more

This could be five stars but..... My dinner. Clam chowder. Great. 5+ Strip steak and mash potatoes. Really good 5+ Two in my party ordered steak tips. Very tasty but there was only three little tips. A lot of money for small portion. We were in the sunken living room. Very noisy! The strangest thing was coming into the restaurant. There was a que and as we were being seated we went by a gaggle of unhappy waitress. It was like being at a wake house. They seemed upset with the hostess. Never seen that before! read more

here I am eight months later, coming back to the shit hole. I thought after my first bad experience coming back again would be slightly better, but no this place just sucks. There was no paper towels when I went to the bathroom. For some reason the TV in front of me just wasn't working, not only that my water tasted terrible like iron. Service was the only good thing. Food took way too long and tasted like microwaved crap. but wait it gets better. While I was in the bathroom, I ran into one of the "Regulars" and we laughed about how the middle bathroom stall has been broken for two years now. Someone next to us had the baked haddock dish and it made the whole restaurant smell. Will never come back. Really wanted to give it a second chance. But never again read more

This was my 3rd time here, I've always just had the pizza. Today I ordered the fried chicken $22 with mashed potatoes and green beans. The chicken had a ruffled potato chip coating which was salty & greasy the piece of chicken extremely thin, the gravy was so salty i told the waitress to mention it to the chef, the fresh green beans were on there way to being rotten rubbery and lots if dark spot. The waitress did comp me a drink for not enjoying my meal which was very nice of her. read more

The taps must be filthy. The beer tasted rancid and the soda was undrinkable too. The food wasn't even warm. Never mind hot and tasted like it had been out of the refrigerator, too long. We sat on the back porch and all the table were very sticky feeling. There is a cigar bar on the other dude of the building, which is separated by a door in the bar. The smoke from the cigar bar, filled Saddle Up's,bar. There is no fan or ventilation to control the smell and smoke from the cigar bar. Very smoky!! Save your money and go elsewhere!! read more

I took my daughter here for dinner, at her request, the night before she moved off to college. We had Brie as a server. She was nice, but it took over 45 min to get our appetizer and an additional 45 to get our entrees. When the food arrived, everything was dried out and had clearly been sitting. The loaded tater tots were one congealed mass and both greasy and dry at the same time. They were flavored well and we just picked them apart. My daughter got fried pickles which were dried out and my pulled pork sandwich was inedible as was the hot, melted plastic cup of cole slaw. The fries looked awesome but were rubbery and hard. We literally ate 2 bites before I pulled Brie over and asked for the check. She looked at our full plates, but didn't ask any questions. We had already stayed longer than anticipated and waiting another 45 minutes for fresher food was not an option. My daughter said the food and service wasn't that bad the last time she went and felt really bad about it. All the people around us were getting their food in a timely manner (different servers) and they seemed super impressed which, although it shows that the food is probably usually good, just created bigger disappointment for us. read more

WOW!!!!!!!!! What an awesome place. We had our wedding here on the August 31st, leading up to our special day , the crew, managers and owner helped us and reassured us that everything would be perfect. The day of the wedding, they did not disappoint us. It was truly perfect. They have a beautiful set up. The food was perfect. My guests couldn't be more happy with the party. My DJs raves over how easy it was to set up and how nice the equipment was. The grounds were perfect for our wedding pictures and just to hang out on. Our pictures and videos came out amazing but don't die justice for how awesome this place is. I would have given more stars if I could.
